Breakfast: Coffee, sandwich made with two slices whole wheat bread toasted, turkey breast slices, 1 slice provolone cheese.
Snack: Activia yogurt
Lunch (picnic) 1 hamburger, 1 hot dog, asian coleslaw made without mayo, 5 fritos, 1 tablespoon southwest ranch dressing, 1/4 cup baked beans, pickles. 1 tiny brownie, ate the filling out of tiny sliver of lemon meringue pie. Had a coke....because they ran out of water and I don't do diet soda.
Dinner: Tomatoe Soup and a couple pieces of Monterey Jack Cheese melted into the soup.
Exercise: 1 hour of swimming and aqua jogging. 1 hour water aerobics with 2 pound weights.
I think I did ok at the picnic. I avoided all the mayo laden salads, all the dips. All in all a successful day.
Hope you all have a succesful weekend. I am getting my air conditioner/heater unit replaced tomorrow...inside and outside unit. OUch....will have to spend about $6,500. Always something. I am taking Chica to the groomers first thing to get her out of the house. And sometime this weekend will have to mow the front and backyard again! It is a never ending cycle....I will consider it to be EXERCISE.
Stay true to yourself and your goals
Be Blessed.
Progress as of today - 14 lbs lost so far, only 81 lbs to go!

Lunch: Salad with mixed greens, brocolli, and Lite Sesame Asian Dressing, roasted chicken and 1 slice bread
Dinner: Campbell's Select portobello mushroom soup and sandwich-whole wheat roll and roasted chicken. 1 Nestles Treasure.
Exercise: Walked for 1 hour-about 3 miles...went over several troop passes...entailed walking up and down 4 bridges. Weather was beautiful.
Still no movement on the scale. Body is sore all over. This too shall pass. Tomorrow will be a challenge. Having a Farewell picnic...hot dogs and hamburgers and lots of sides. Will choose wisely.
Have a great evening. Many blessings to all!

Good job on the exercise!!
Breakfast: Activia yogurt, banana, coffee
Lunch: Went to Johnny Corino's for a farewell luncheon. Had a few small slices of bread dunked in the roasted garlic and olive oil. Italien Wedge Salad....yummmy! Wedge of lettuce with prosciuto (sp), sun dried tomatoes, green onions, bell peppers, apple slices and gorgonzola cheese. Drank water
Dinner: Chicken primavera...I ordered it at lunch but couldn't even try eating it after the salad...so I brought it home for dinner. It was angel hair pasta with loads of veggies, including artichokes and grilled chicken slices with a lemony garlicky olive oil sauce. Yumm
That will probably be all the food I eat tonight cause it's after 7:00 and I promised myself no eating after 7:00 p.m.
Exercise: swam laps and aqua jogged for 30 minutes. 1 hour of water aerobics using 2 pound weights.
I will persevere! The scale is not going to make me give in or give up. I am working on a life style change and not just a quick fix diet.
Thanks for all the comments, you ladies are an integral part of this program for me. It really does help to know that everyone here is a cheering squad for everyone else. Good day or bad day....I am finding that it is useful for me to write it all down so that I can see the progress even if the scale is not cooperating.
Have a blessed evening and a fabulous tomorrow.

Good work on all the exercise. You're doing great!
Breakfast: Veggie Beef Soup, two slices of whole wheat bread, coffee
Lunch: Chicken Noodle Soup and a Meat Loaf Sandwich on whole wheat....thin slices of meat loaf (One of the girls brought it in from her cooking class.
Snack: Fugi Apple
Dinner: 2 slices thin crust veggie delight pizza. 1 hot wing. water
Exercise: Walked for 1 hour. It was really hot and I think I may have overdone a bit, but I didn't walk as far as I usually do, I figured just walking non stop for an hour would just have to suffice. At least I walked.
I have gained two more pounds. I am really hoping it is muscle and water retention, but regardless, I will keep on doing what I am doing. Eventually somethings got to give, right?
Have a blessed evening and stick to your plans tomorrow. Talk to you all soonest!

OK! Thank goodness the weekend is over. Saturday was alright, I had grilled burger on whole wheat bun and 14 Lays Potatoe chips for breakfast. Then Ben brought dinner home from Sonic....I had a chicken club, but pulled all the Bacon off and about 10 fries, diet coke and later on at night I had a Lean Cuisine Pannini. So it could have been worse. Plus I drank lots of water and ran errands, had my hair colored, highlighted and cut, mowed the back yard, did laundry and cleaned the kitchen.
Sunday was not the best day ever. I only had one meal, but it was a doozy! I did not feel like going out for Mother's day because of the crowds, but Ben went out and brought home Chinese....which is my weakness.... I had two teriyaki wings, a bowl of hot and sour soup, some combination lo mein and some Mongolian beef. Plus I had a Mountain Dew. I did manage to drink all my water, but did zero exercise. Ben rented me three chick flicks (Because I Said So, Music and Lyrics, and Catch and Release)...so basically, I just vegged out all day and watched movies...read some and that was it. I never even left the house, not even to go into the back yard. How pathetic is that?
Today I am back on track.
Breakfast: Activia Yogurt, Berry Berry Apple Sauce, Coffee
Snack: Fugi Apple
Lunch: Subway- Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki on Wheat, Water
Snack: Fugi Apple, green tea
Dinner: The plan is to have a grilled chicken breast and brocolli. If I absolutely get hungry later might have some popcorn.
Exercise: I walked to the Subway and back at lunch round trip about 3 miles...walked over two bridges for the incline. Then this afternoon will do water aerobics for 1 hour and swim for about 30 minutes.
So this weekend is history and the important thing is that I may have slipped but I did not let that derail me. I hopped right back on the train and am riding it to the finish line.
Hope you all have a blessed day.
Progress as of today - 14 lbs lost so far, only 81 lbs to go!
Today:
Breakfast: 8 ounces cranberry juice, unsweetened, 1 potatoe and egg breakfast taco with salsa, coffee
Lunch: Salad with dark leafy greens, fresh sliced strawberries and raspberry vinaigrette, 1 slice of prime rib, mixed veggies, unsweetened tea and a 1/2 of a thin slice of cheesecake with strawberry sauce.
Dinner: Grilled porkchop with apricot sauce, broccoli and rice mixture with a lite cheese sauce. One whole wheat dinner roll. Salad with Spritzer red wine vinaigrette.
Went to the pool for two hours this afternoon. Swam and aqua jogged for an hour and one hour of water aerobics with 2 pound weights. Somehow I have gained 3 more pounds since yesterday. I think I am retaining water, my rings are tight and my skin feels stretched over my ankles. I will perservere and continue on. This time, I will not let the scale rule my actions. If I exercise every day and continue to eat healthy then eventually the scale will have to go down, right?
Hope you all had successful day today.
Be blessed!

Today's menu:
Breakfast: 8 ounces unsweetened cranberry juice, sandwich-two slices whole wheat bread toasted with 2 thin slices deli ham and 1 slice provolone cheese and spicy mustard, coffee.
Lunch: Healthy choice chicken and rice soup, sandwich-same as breakfast.
Snack: Fugi Apple
Dinner: Grilled chicken breast, mashed potatoes made with skim milk and a little pat of parkay, turkey and mushroom gravy, 1/4 cup (35 calories) and salad with Newman's Own Lite Ginger Sesame Dressing.
Drank 64 ounces of water so far.
Exercise: Walked for 1 hour about 3 miles. Traveled a route that included climbing up two major inclines and several sets of steps. It was hot and sunny when I started out and ended up being caught in a downpour, but it actually felt good....cooled me off. I actually can't believe that I am so committed to this program. It has been so long since I even cared what I felt like let alone looked like. Ever since Eddy died, I have been in a blue funk and haven't cared about myself. Perhaps I am finally coming to terms with this grief and am starting to care about me again. I have also come up against some people in the office that seem to want to derail my progress. Every day they invite me out to lunch and offer me food that they know would jeopardize my new lifestyle choice. I have been amazingly strong and just politely decline regardless of their continued efforts. Tomorrow I will be going to a pre-mother's day luncheon at the Kelly Club. It is a buffet but I have seen the menu and have already made my decision as to what I will eat. Pray that I will stay strong because it really is a killer buffet and everything is extremely tempting. This morning I got on the scale and I was up a pound. Normally this would have thrown me into turmoil and I would have thought what's the use? This time, however, I am attributing it to gained muscle and I am going to stay on track with this caboose.
Hope you all have had a fantastic day.
Be Blessed!

Lunch: Salad with Newman's Own Lite Sesame Ginger Dressing, Lean Cuisine Southwestern Style Pannini.
Snack: Fugi Apple
Dinner: Grilled (GF) Chicken Breast, Jolly Green Giant Brocolli with Cheese Sauce Lite
Snack: Microwave Popcorn
Drank: 84 ounces of water so far
Exercise: Walked 1.5 miles in 25 minutes at lunch time. Water Aerobics with 2 pound weights for 1 hour and swam about 6 laps of the pool.
I seem to be on a roll. It's not even hard to resist temptation right now. Of course, I know that this is just the beginning of a long hard journey, but for some reason it just seems to be something that I can manage, I really didn't want to go for the walk at lunch, but I perservered, put on my work out clothes, grabbed my IPOD and headed out the door. And I felt fantastic when it was over. Must be all those lovely endorphins.
Thanks for all the lovely comments. You are all so sweet and supportive.
Have a fab evening.
Be Blessed.

Today's Menu
Breakfast: 8 ounces unsweetned Cranberry juice, Lite Activia yogurt, Berry Berry Applesauce, coffee
Lunch: Was a challenge because I had to go to the Club for a Farewell luncheon, but I think I rose to the occasion. Lean Brisket, Mixed Veggies (squash, broccoli, red bell peppers and green breans), Salad consisting of Cucumbers, red onions and fat free italien dressing.
Dinner: Grilled Lemon Pepper Salmon (on GF), salad with Newman's Lite Sesame Ginger Dressing, Steamed Cauliflower and broccoli), whole wheat roll
Snack: Crisp Fugi Apple Snack: 14 Lays potatoe chips and 6 ounces of Mountain Dew
Drank about 64 ounces of water so far.
Exercise: Walked to the club and back, then did 1.5 miles in 30 minutes after work. I did have a somewhat iffy snack with the chips and Dew, but I factored that into my calories for the day and made a conscious decision to eat them because I was majorly craving.
Today I resisted the temptation to have a breakfast taco, and turned down the cake from the luncheon...twice. People will be persistent. I also resisted garlic mashed potatoes, fried chicken and red beans which were all on the serving line at the club. So kudos to me for being in control.
Hope you all have a fabulous day.
Be Blessed.

Breakfast: 8 ounces unsweetened cranberry juice, Weight Smart Oatmeal, Applesauce, coffee

Snack: 1/2 granny smith Apple
Dinner: Grilled Burger (on GF), Whole Wheat Bun, onion, tomatoe and mustard and ketchup, Oven baked fries
Drank 64 ounces of water so far.
Exercise: Walked 1.5 miles in 30 minutes. Water Aerobics with 2 pound weights 1 hour. Swam 10 laps.
All in all a good day. Have not been tempted to cheat. I am really trying to eat healthy but satisfying foods, avoiding all deep fried and generally choosing whole grain over others when I want to eat bread. For me, I think that the exercise is the key. I feel pretty good about my choices and my comittment to getting out and taking care of the business at hand.
Hope you all had a productive day.
Be Blessed

I notice you use the George Forman grill a lot. I bought the smallest GF grill they have about a year ago, and have only used it once or twice. I overcooked my chicken I think, and so without being able to control the temperature of the grill, I'm afraid to use it for anything else. It sounds like you've got the hang of it though. Maybe I'll attempt to use it again. For a single gal like me (widowed at a young age as well, by the way) it would be good to try.
Keep up the great work!
