Joined a gym a few weeks ago.  Need to get motivated to actually go.  Hurt my leg last week on the treadmill no idea how so when I have been going I've been going to the pool instead.  Plan on going to the pool Wednesday-Friday this week due to holiday.  Hope that gives enough excercise.


I need to STOP EATING JUNK.  Hard to get myself to stop and I'm always hungry.

i will be opening my pool the 2nd week of june,can't wait,i think if you swim around in the pool and not float around in the pool , that could be a definate work out,it burns alot of stored energy and you get to have fun while your at it =:)

Swimming is a great workout!! I should be doing it myself. It would def save my knees!!

Welcome to DDs. Swimming should be plenty of exercise - go for it. Any exercise is better than no exercise, for sure. :-) I hope your leg gets better. When you joined the gym, was any time with a trainer included with the membership initially? The treadmill can put more stress on joints than just walkng on regular pavement. Not that you should give it up, but when you go back to it you may want to build up our time on it gradually with maybe just 5-10 minutes at first and see how that goes. Good shoes are very important, too. Keep up the good work and keep posting!

They are supposed to have a tainer but haven't seen one there yet. They are fairly new just opened in October of last year and are connected to our college here. They do offer classes, may have to sign up for some of those. Figure if I pay for a class I won't want to miss it.
