I soooo did not want to get on the scale this morning, but I did not gain. Dogged the bullet this time. I guess all the extra activity and walking helped. My husband is doing this with me now. We are very determined. We have been using the busy time as an excuse to eat badly. We are going to make better choices. Once we get moved in to the house and school starts, we will be back to cooking and a more normal routine. But for now we can just always make the best choices possible each meal.

Progress as of today: 7 lbs lost so far, only 128 lbs to go!

Home from walking. I did 1.7 miles. It is already getting hot today. Tonight I get to go to a concert that I've had tickets for since Mother's Day. I'm excited! We will probably eat out, so I'm going to save up some points and make good choices.

It's been a busy few days. We were supposed to close on our house today, but it has gotten pushed back again. I was down 2 pounds today. That was a nice surprise. I just got in from my walk. I was able to go 2 miles today. Going to walk each day with my aunt on the phone since my mom is away. I was finished walking and saw the swings. I decided to relive some childhood and swing awhile. It made me happy. My plan for today eatingwise is......I had my shake for breakfast 2pts. I've already gotten in 20 oz of water. Lunch will be a salad with grilled chicken. I'm going to play around with a dressing recipe that I like and see if I can get it to taste ok and be lower points. Dinner tonight will be a WW dinner and green beans. I bought some pretzel thins that I can add as a snack if needed.

Yesterday was a disaster, but I'm not even going to dwell on it long enough to type details....moving on. I walked 1.3 miles this morning. I had 3oz sliced chicken, 1/4 a cantaloupe and a V8 for lunch. I have a frozen WW meal for dinner with a salad with low call dressing. I just put the dressing on the side and dip the fork in. I seem to be using much less. I have some cherries set aside in case i want a snack. Going to drink all the water I'm supposed to.

Healthy comments - don't dwell on the past. Sometimes it helps me to think about how good it feels at the end of the day when I have done pretty well. Helps keep me on track and from going overboard!

I did not lose any, but I guess staying the same is better than gaining. I had a very rough day today both eating and emotionally. I'm going to bed and wake up with a new day and clean slate.

It's been a busy week. I stayed on plan except for last night, but got right back on today. We'll see if the scales punish me tomorrow.

I found a good recipe that even my husband liked.

Oven baked fajitas. ....strips of uncooked chicken breasts, onion, green and red peppers, can of rotel tomatoes tossed with a mixture of two tblsp olive oil, chili powder, garlic, seasoning salt and oregano spread on a shallow pan and baked for 25 minutes at 450. I wrap in whole wheat tortillas.

I will share a small success. First, you need to know that breakfast is my husband's favorite meal. We ended up at Jimmy's Egg, a breakfast restaurant, and he wanted to go off plan. I held my ground, and we got the lowfat choice and stayed in points. When we finished, he thanked me for helping him stick to it. We both felt good.

Judgment. day!! Lost 5 and I'm so excited. I had a good day yesterday. Today I had my shake and the plan for the rest of the day is Lunch: tuna, mushrooms and cucumbers sprinkled with a touch of hidden valley dry mix and strawberries.Dinner: grilled hamburger patty on thin bun with veggies, zucchini chips and apple slices. WW bar for dessert. If I find I need a snack...then two chicken rolls and grapes.

Walking this morning on call with mom and aunt. Mom said she over did it yesterday, so will try to encourage her today.

Thanks for the supportive messages. Writing here is helping.

Had a good day. Stay within my points and walked. I've been craving water, but I guess that is due to the increased activity. I made some pumpkin muffins that are 2 points. I think they will be good for when I'm wanting something sweet. We are spending time with my father-in-law tomorrow. I will be in less control of the menu, so I plan to make the best choices I can and watch portions. I will weigh for the first time on Monday.....*crosses fingers*

Walked 1.5 miles. After I make it a habit for a few days, I'll add more distance. I call my mom and aunt on a conference call and we all walk together. Lunch today was out with so e fellow teachers, but I managed to stay at 15 points. Tonight is grilled chicken, baked potato wedges and beets. We are going out after and I limiting to one light beer and should be at 26 points for the day. Thanks for all the comments and advice!!

The salmon last night was really good. I made up a marinade from mixing a few things I saw on several recipes. But the pumpkin loaf did NOT turn out. My husband said it was ok for me the throw out the left over and he NEVER lets me throw out food. He takes leftovers for his lunches at work.

Today, I had my breakfast shake for 2pts. Before anyone starts lecturing me about breakfast, I'll say that I have a stomach problem that usually makes me throw up what I eat in the mornings. My doctor and I came up with this shake, and if I wait a bit before drinking it, I do fine. Good thing it comes in at only 2 points.

For lunch, I plan on making this recipe I saw that has you cut zucchini in thin slices, toss in 1tbsp olive oil and spices and bake......we'll see. I plan on having it with a chicken sandwich with those super thin buns.

Tonight for dinner, we are making shishkabob on a bed of rice. I'll be looking for some ways to keep the veggies from drying out without adding tons of calories.

My husband and I are planning to walk the park trail after dinner when its cooler.

I used to say never skip breakfast, but lately I've been - not on purpose - only eating it about every other day - not really on purpose, but just turns out that way and it doesn't seem to have adverse effect. You are drinking a shake so that's good calories and should suffice. I prefer to drink iced coffee in the warm weather mornings and I happen to put vanilla flavored Natual Bliss creamer in it. I don't get hungry before lunch and I don't seem to be starved around 2:30 OR 3:00 - a pitfall of skipping breakfast - so it must have enough calories....Finding out what works is important key. I just have to make sure I have a healthy snack - nuts or string cheese - something with protein - peanut better - just a bit - in case the hungry monster strikes while at work on on the way home, etc.
