Heck yea. I feel like all the hard work is finally paying off! This girl I met at Bikram Yoga said when she did the challenge she lost 20 lbs. She was bigger than me and I thought that was too much, but I was not seeing much loss, now I am! Maybe it's all showing this week! Yay! 

Bikram Challenge day 16!

Today I took a special class from one of the biggest people in Bikram yoga, other than Bikram himself. She was visiting my studio from San Francisco. Her class was 2 1/2 hours long!!!! I almost died Hahahahaha.

Bikram Yoga Challenge Day 14 :)

Getting to half way! Yay. Class yesterday was good and challenging. I notice my eyes are whiter (they say it happens with Bikram) and my knee's improvement is remarkable. :)

B: oatmeal and blueberries 200

S: banana 100 and cereal 50 - 150

L: chicken and veggies 240

D: chicken 150 veggies 60 veggie cheese slice 40 and cheese wedge 35 - 285

Total: 875

Not enough calories, I will do better tomorrow. 

 

Bikram class was good. Tomorrow I have to go at 8am, because they have a seminar most of the day and 8am was the only regular class tomorrow. ouch!!!

 Yay, I'm down today. Eating at home and less calories certainly worked. I think I was making too many exceptions, eating out and losing track a little. :)

Bikram Yoga 30 day Challenge Day 13!

Last night class was challenging. The heat was getting to me, which is funny since it was 105 degrees and the night before it was 107 and I was completely fine. And I drank the same amount of water both days. Our body is different every day! Funny!

B: oatmeal and blueberry 200

L: chicken 140 veggies 200 - 340

Subtotal: 780

S: yogurt strawberries granola 350

Bikram Yoga 30 Day Challenge day 11!!!

Sooo last night after I posted I had a mini binge, had a bowl of milk and cereal and a couple cereal bars. I probably had another 500 calories. I was expecting higher weight this morning, but no. Exactly 209.4 like yesterday. Go figure.

I planned my menus for today and tomorrow, that way I eat at home and eat lighter, and also i don't let my veggies go bad at home. Win win.

Bikram yoga is going great. Yesterday was my 10th class in a row and I am loving it. It was my best class yet and I saw progress. The heat is not a big deal for me anymore. I am very happy with it!

 

 

B: oatmeal and blueberries 180 
S: cereal bar 100 and banana 100 - 200
L: veggies 45 butternut puree 150 turkey 45 - 240
S: cereal milk 150 small cereal bar  70 - 220
D: eggplant 60, tomato sauce 35, 2 slices veggie "cheese" 80, turkey 45 onion 20, two table spoons parmesan 50 - 290 
2 packs of vitamin pre and post class 20

10 in a row - wonderful! I think although it might take getting used to, I would like the hot yoga. Especially here in KY in the winter so that my muscles would stay warm and plyable as possible!

 Alright, I posted the new weight and won't think much about it. It has to come down at some point, it's odd to be 3lbs up when all I have been doing is exercising and eating less than I burn. It will get better.

 

Bikram Yoga Challenge Day 10. Yay!

Going to a 6:30 class today. Feel great about it, but my body is a little sore. Since I went in the morning yesterday by this evening I have a bit of a longer break than only 24 hours. :)

B: banana 100 and superfood juice 190 - 290

S: small chocolate waffle 100

L: big salad chickpeas and edamame 120 humus 70 greens 20 tomatoes and mozarella 200 cheese 50 turkey 200 bread 100 - 760

S: cereal bar 250

Subtotal: 1400

D: cereal and milk 210, veggies 35 turkey 45 butternut squash puree 100 - 

Total 1790

Wow that is strange, maybe you need new batteries in your scale? Are you expecting TOM soon?? Anyhoo give it a couple of days or perhaps weigh yourself at the gym

Okay so today I weighted even more!!! 210!!!! That's 3.6 lbs more than two days ago. I didn't have my two best days, but still doesn't justify the weight 'gain'. Especially since I am taking a class that makes me burn at least 500 calories a day.

I will give it another two days. I will post the new weight on Tuesday. And I will try not to freak out.

 

On a happy note: Bikram Yoga 30 day challenge day 9 was great. Went to class this morning, my foot and knee are much better and I was able to do much more today than when I needed to spare my foot. I am also improving in some of the postures and in my overall endurance in class. :)

 

B: superfood 190 and bar 70 and two vitamin packs 20 - 280

L: butternut squash puree 150 arugula salad 100 chicken and onions 100 and mixed veggies 25 - 375

S: cereal and milk 300

I try to only weigh myself once a week. I'd like to really weigh myself less than that, bue once a week is the longest I can manage to wait, so when I see something I don't like... well, I just gotta talk myself thru it. As long as we know we're doing what we need to do & keep going in the right direction, one day SOON the scale is gonna "catch up" - I just KNOW IT!!!

Bikram Yoga Challenge Day 8:

Wow it's going by fast.

 

So this morning I weighted myself (I do every day) and i weighted 209!!!! Way more than the last two days (in which i weighted exactly 206.4). I did have a worse eating day yesterday, but not enough to gain 2,6 lbs!! I didn't even update my weight above because it has to be water retention and etc. I will see where I am tomorrow and update then.

On the brighter side, I have a body scan scale and this week alone with the hot yoga everyday I lost 0.6% of my body fat (still not possible that the weight 'gain' this morning is because I built muscle. It's too big of a number). Anyway, we will see where I land in a few days, and more importantly at the end of this challenge!

B: super food 190

L: whole foods tuna sandwich 400

D: salmon 250 butternut squash puree 150 arugula parmesan salad 200, 3/4 glass of wine 100- 900

Deseert: 2 chocolate covered strawberries 120

T: 1610

Good menu today and well done on your yoga challenge. It's got to be fluid that changed the numbers. Does your scale do water % as well? Mine does it all - good investment.

Sometimes getting on the scale every day can discourage you. Also salt can cause fluid retention and like granny said, that could fluctuate the numbers. I love sushi, but even though the fish is healthy, the soy sauce will tighten up my rings on my fingers overnight! Keep up the hot yoga!

You are doing such an amazing job!! WTG with getting the BF down, that is far more important than the number on the scale IMO :) Doing anything fun and exciting this weekend??
