(counting calories/walking/elliptical/weights/bike)

Good Morning! today is a day off, unexpectedly, as my dr. apt was moved from 3pm to noon.  It's smack in the middle of the day, so I'm taking the day off instead of going to work, going to the dr, coming back to work.

I am going to use today as an IT (intermittent fasting) day. My first meal will be between 2-4pm with eating allowed for the remainder of the night.  Goal is to keep it at 1200 calories today. Trying to lose some weight and today would be smart since I am home with all the vegetables and good choices around me to make a successful IT day. Tomorrow would be normal eating, same Friday.

I am going to the rheumatologist today for my tendinosis / tendonitis in my shins. I pray he can give me some additional help and steer me toward a path of recovery as all methods I have tried already did not work. I need to get better and the clock is ticking. Hopefully this apt is a key toward my recovery.

150 cal frozen yogurt 200 cal cooked veggies 200 cal veggie slaw 200 cal horrible sautee that I failed at lol 200 cal turkey 100 cal fruit 600 cal mostly peanut butter plus some squash and some coconut butter with cinnamon and stevia for dessert

1750-1850 I need to stop eating now, lol. All food eaten after 2:30pm. Poor planning and eating. The calculation total is more bc there were a few other things in the mix.

Around 2250-2350 good. No exercise. Legs are still very bothersome.

sorry your legs are so troublesome. Frustrating I'm sure. Hope you feel better. :)

Beg breakfast over a period of 2 hours during an event I attended. 850 calories. Huge bialey (gotta look up the spelling, a type of bagel). It was monster sized! With a nice portion of butter on it - I didn't skimp like I used to and it tastes soooo good. Coffee with extra milk, 2 small pieces of melon. Some tomato slices, cucumber slices, lettuce, and onion shreds. I was so happy to even have lettuce! And lox. Like I said, lots of food, all free at the table buffet style. There were some cream cheeses but I really do not love cheese, I try to stay away from it. I have not had butter in months like what I had in the bagel and it was great.

Breakfast was eaten from around 9:30 till 11:30....so I had lunch a little before 2 after running some errands. Lunch was just cooked veggies not too much sauce around 100 cal and then loads (at least 3 cups) of heavily sauteed cabbage in olive oil. Definitely at least 400 calories there. It was bought already prepared from the store.

1350, good. Today is not supposed to be low cal, but I am also not exercising. Legs are beginning. To have less pain. The week following this one or maybe next Sunday I want to start up some of my weights again at the gym :)

....too much oily cabbage, I feel awful, lesson learned I think....

Total cals around 2100, good!

Social occasions like your breakfast are challenging but it sounds like you managed it well.

I gave in and ended the day with a 600 cal meal around 5:30. Overall today was obviously a success. I necessarily do not need to fast overnight yet or at all....proud of myself in general! Are again around 8. Total cals today around 900. I will still say I burned around 1000 today.

Today is my 1st day using the heat pads. They feel really comfortable and relaxing.

museumgirl on 10/25/2014:
:) good job!

Glad that your plan is working.

I think around 2400. More food on purpose. Will fast all the way until Sunday morning. Wish me major luck!!!!

Everything healthy. Tried to have more fat at dinner. Complete fast till Sunday morning when I have an event to go to - a breakfast with lox and bagels and lots of cream cheese. Planning to have a big bagel with lox and cream cheese!! Big!!! And coffee and everything at the table I am gonna try probably except dessert. Maybe I will change my mind and not have the bagel. We will see. It's so much easier for me to eat a diet that isn't carb loaded. I love eating large portions and the only way is to overeat veggies, maybe extra fats too. Not carbs. They are the death of me! Anyways, working on reforming my diet by learning more about ways to feel satisfied but also energized.

If u have been a member on here awhile or you have followed me for awhile, i am not a fan of fasting. At least I wasnt....

But now I have prepared to spend more time home this fall till the new year and fasting fits in my slower schedule that was once so busy in weekends. I can spend time by myself for a day without social commitments and do do an intermittent fast. I like it right now bc I am unable to do cardio until my legs are far better.

Intermittent fasting. It's good for me now. When I plan to be more active (when my legs hopefully heal) IT may not be the way to go as much. I plan to do it for 1-2 days on weekends, usually with an evening meal (not fasting overnight). But for my peace of mind, I am trying an overnight fast tonight. All the way from Friday night until Sunday morning. Since I have the freedom and flexibility to do it, I thank God that I can. Cheers to a successful fast (and normal calories all other days)

It seems to work to lose weight and works out to similar weight loss by dieting everyday without fasting.

Good luck! have a good weekend.

Tonight was better eating-wise.

Still ravenous at work. Craving carbs and coffee. Broke down and had some today - coffee and energy drink. Once in awhile. Like once a month energy drink should be fine.

Calories till end of workday 1500.

Dinner: around 500

2000, good!

thinkpositive on 10/24/2014:
Reading your posts about sleep , I can relate. Lack of sleep can affect my whole day, my energy level and need for food.

Even though I ate 2300 cals both Tuesday and Wednesday with huge dinners, truth is I was very tired after work and realized it on the drive home both days. I finished my dinners and had extra food on both days when what I really needed was sleep. Today will probably be better bc I got notably more sleep.

Sleep is so important, hope you find the balance you want. :)

Sleep is huge... I think we forget a lot about how important it is toward weight loss and healthy goals.

felt more hungry than normal today, despite having breakfast when I got to work. I had a yogurt snack, around 11...and found myself RAVENOUS at 12:30. maybe it's the fasting from the weekend screwing me up. either way, it's easier to stand on track at work anyways.

calories before lunch 750.

lunch: tons of veggies, even sautéed Chinese cabbage, and turkey: 500 or so. then chips 200.

snack: apple 100

BIG dinner: lots of veggies and turkey around 450

dessert: cooked squash with peanut butter and coconut butter 300

total: 2300.

legs hurting...thinking the ice is NO GOOD. I did order special heat wraps that I will use 4x per day on my legs. I also got a smaller one for my wrist.

puddles on 10/22/2014:
You will figure it all out eventually. Have a great evening

There are days when I am more hungry than normal. Maybe our body giving us a message. Food looks very healthy.

Calories before dinner were 1450. Dinner was def at least 800.

Counting today as 2200-2300 but it may even be more. Either way, happy. Today I skipped my morning snack and was ravenous at lunch. It was horrible. I will have to eat lunch earlier or eat a snack tomorrow.

OhioRaven on 10/22/2014:
Have yourself a snack today, HP.

museumgirl on 10/22/2014:
Yes, definitely have a snack :) Have a good day.

skinnygrlwithin on 10/22/2014:
