Happy Memorial Day Weekend. Happy Saturday.

So far, I'm having a great day.  I'm partying tonight - a change of pace.  last night was wacky. i will recap soon!!! :-)

calories so far: some of a biscuit, eggwhites and some egg yolk, some cinnamon bun, some milk and some coffee...not all of anything, except the coffee!...breakfast 500, ounce of wheatgrass: 10 snack:milk  90, 600 total and two light drinks 60.

lunch: a bit many marinated muchrooms (over a pound of them- one quart's worth!)...no clue for the mushrooms!!! i'm guessing it at 300 calories. and yogurt/cottage cheese 250 total here: 550.

total: 1210....weird foods, definitely.

Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 13 lbs to go!

edit...thanks to those who left care and concern on my entry...sorry to scare you all a little bit. i'm emotional moreso due to lack of sleep and anxiety at my new job...that's a lot of it, amongst some other things going on in my life.

(i felt too sick and naseous after the gym to eat, amazingly - this never happens)  I went to the gym after work...so i got to the gym around 8:30 and stayed till a tiny bit after 10pm.

calories for today: 1550, approx.

exercise: 1.5 hours at the gym with weights, back, abs. HEAVEN.....(because i had not exercised at all, walking or weights, on Tuesday and Wednesday and i just couldn't skip working out for a third day in a row...so i decided i'd rather do weights than walking!)

work: a little over 12 hours again today. that's a long day for me! ( i worked from 7am-7:30pm)



1850 calories.

worked over 12 hours...8am till after 8pm.

****ing annoyed with life in general.

hating myself.

its hard to explain, but basically my life is as annoying, complicated, and unsatisfying as it has been since I graduated college 8 years ago. I'm upset, annoyed, have nobody to turn to, and feel utterly alone.

I'm sorry you are feeling so down. I have had several periods of time when my life annoyed me. I have never actually called it that - but when I read what you wrote it made sense to me because that is how I actually felt in those periods - annoyed. All I can offer is - one way or the other it changed and got better, eventually. Sometimes by something that just happened and other times by something I actually decided to change. It's so hard to get established these days. It was for my generation, too. I live in some real dumpy places and ate a lot of mac and cheese, I had roommates that came and went, but little by little things changed. My jobs got better - grandually, I met people and made friends, I became known in the new town I adopted. There was NO opportunity in the small town where I grew up - at all. I had to leave. My late 20's and early 30's were very difficult financially and emotionally. But things improved despite my best efforts to screw things up! LOL. Sometimes considering those early days, I am amazed at how my life has turned out. :o) I'm not sure what changes you need HOP but change is good. See what you can do to change things around a bit, even if it's not perfect, sometimes just different is better (nothing crazy, of course). I hope this makes sense and is not too personal. I care how you are feeling and relate to what you are saying here, I hope that comes across.

HOP, I think that you may have depression, I don't mean just feeling low or affected by circumstances. I think it would be a good idea to have a chat to your doctor and let him/her have a understanding of how you have been doing over the past years. If you are feeling that bad about things it may be a way of ruling out depression, but, it may also be the solution to how you have been feeling. I am sending love.:)

breakfast: walnuts 100, fiber one and milk 350, strawberries 100, chocolate jell rings 160, ice cream 140: approx. 850..  (happy with this.)

around 2200 cal today. just happy i'm not binging. that's enough for me right now. cheers to a week that will end next Saturday with partying till dawn for sure...Memorial Day Weekend, the countdown begins now! :-)

exercise: hour walk, 1/2 hour bikeride. bed early!

total calories today: around 2400....happy with this.

exercise: 2.5 mi walk.


I did weigh one of these recent mornings to find this weight. I expected it and I'm not surprised. I'm thankful that i'm so knowledgable on weightlifting and that I have continued to use weights so that even though I weigh this much, I'm still a size 8 (sometimes 10 but usually not). And that's a decent size for my weight and height (5' 1.5"). If i didn't have a weight routine, and I weighed this much, I'd basically be a size 10, at least! The fat instead of muscle would mean more inches and bigger clothes! As you know, muscle weighs more than fat and takes up less space....


early breakfast, 6am: 400 in fiber one, kix, and milk.

late, big and satisfying, healthy breakfast: two pieces tst with butter, 2 eggs, tasty green beans and almonds, glass of milk! i needed this!!! I haven't had a tasty and warm breakfast in quite awhile! it definitely hit the spot! 700 cal.

total cal so far: 1100 perfecto.

lots of errands today, visiting grandma, meeting up with my friend for mall, dinner, movie...a bit too much planned, not all will actually get accomplished, so i'll do what I can and give myself a break!  You wouldn't believe the list of things I need to catch up on.

for my own planning, i'm gonna list what I do actually want to do this morning before driving to grandma and picking up food for her lunch...

-to do today: bank and cleaners and pick up grandma's lunch, oil change. maybe tonight: thank-you cards to the students I had to drop from my private teaching :-( no time for them. maybe: contact former teachers/colleagues on facebook with note about looking for a band job. maybe today is a walk, probably not. at least i'll have some of that at the mall.

-to do tomorrow:  maybe cablevision and verizon, maybe nails, maybe bike store...see, i have too much to do!...laundry...too much! weights tomorrow for sure at the gym...and a walk definitely.

snack: banana before gym. 100

late snack/dessert: two protein cookies 300, 3 chocolate jell candies 120, ice cream 150:  around 600.

total: 2150.

exercise: 1hr 15 min weights.

3am...bad allergies, restless, couldn't sleep, did laundry, ate 1350 calories of sweets (jell rings, two chocolate donuts, candies, glass of milk.)

ugh....NEED a vacation.

evening edit: 2900 calories. 2 hours of weights, back, abs, at the gym.

worried about my job and my future. not worried about this job, but the fact that i will not be able to move out if i don't get another job or training in this new field. too much to talk about.

You can work things out HOP. For me, I left home at 19 and struggled through so many years, but eventually it got better-financially, that is. I had roommates for awhile. Not ideal, but I got better at pickng them :o) !! In this economy there are probably similar people out there who would like more options, too. The saying "strength in numbers" might apply to your desire to move out. For me the decision rested on the stress in moving out vs the stress of staying at parents house. Best wishes on working this out. Why not network a bit with others in same situation and see what can be worked out? One suggestion - if you do get roommate(s) I suggest planning the move in together and establishing "house rules" that everyone agrees on.
