Thanks for the tips ladies with the pots/cooking  I will certainly use all advice you give!....and i will not even attempt the oven for some time...need to get used to the electric for sure.  i am used to a gas stove.

time for weights at the gym...cardio maybe later or after lunch?.. my best friend in the world! is coming around 2pm, which is more important right now than cardio! pretty much, anyways!...she is gonna come help me with some things and to see the apartment.  good friend, huh!?  she can't wait to see the place, see me...i am lucky to have her to rely on, trust, and count on.  :-)

Anyone have any luck using pans that aren't non-stick!?  i was given those, but, man, horrible first attempt at making eggs! i used a ton of oil, everything still stuck, and now i have a very smoky apt! hahaha....yes, i did open the windows!

all moved in, still needing some minor adjustments, but happy to be here & not that stressed. :-)

7am? breakfast: the portion of eggs that weren't stuck to the pan: 120, wrap 100, lots of milk 250, spinach 30: 500 good.

11am: granola bar and decided to have something more filling, tofu in a high fiber wrap 300 at most.

800, great....

I use stainless steel and anodized aluminum (my favorite) and don't have any problems when I'm using oil. The nonstick sprays are good to have on hand and maybe turn the heat down? You probably just need to get used to cooking on a new stove. Congrats on your new apartment, enjoy!

Pam is usually good for the non stick pans..Make sure you heat the pan for a few minutes(no higher than medium heat) before you put the eggs in..Hope this helps..Hey congrats on your new place!! Enjoy your independence :)

Electric stoves are very bad, i will never get used to them. It seems like things overcook in the middle and on the side they are raw. i hate it. For eggs i think you will need a nonstick because they are hard to cook in regular pans. The nonstick take much longer because they cannot be used with high heat. I already burn like 3 or 4 since I have no patience to stand there in front of the stove. Good Luck on this new phase of your life !!!

its 3am and of course i am up! lol.  took a shower, now feeling better. now i don't have to shower in the AM, only get ready, some breakfast, and help my dad load the moving van we rented...around 7:30am. i am ready...

6:30am: english muffin with olive oil, 2 saltines: 200, fried egg/eggwhites 150, lil oatmeal 100, yogurt 150: 600 :-)

wow, i didn't even come on here this AM! :-)

tomorrow we move all my stuff....and the fridge will come midweek. i will start "living there" next Friday, get used to the place over the weekend, do some test drives for my work commute, and commute to work starting that week, not this week as the fridge is not there - and i will not move in midweek...so after next weekend. and maybe this Saturday night I will sleep there...to get used to it, prolly not.  I am thinking Friday night should be good :-)  but if I sleep there Sat night and think of things i need, i should probably do that...??? will think about...i am feel quite uneasy....can't wait for this life changing event to be over and i am finally there & used to living there!

yeah....gonna sleep over Saturday night....find a gym Sunday and join. and get to know the place a lil bit, drive around a bit...

2500 cal....trying to called it a night with the food, but still packing...doing good, i hope to be done in two hoursoverall success!

breakfast: one fried egg 100, avocado at least 150, 2% greek yogurt 150, bran crackers 50. great. tea and water - flavored with stevia vanilla

snack: coffee, bar...

quite exhausted....just thinking about moving is having quite an ugly effect on me...when it's all said and done i will be a happy gal.

2100 cal. 2250 light, but good cardio.

ankle/leg not doing well, must go to the doctor.

2000 cal. decent cardio...nothing too aggressive as i am trying to help my leg/ankle heal a bit from the recent overuse. gonna go to the doctor when i can.

i have a special work/family event (yes, both!) to go to in 3 weeks and i want to "lose a pound" by then. unfortunately, this is also the three weeks of moving and getting settled in my apartment, with no or little days off from work to do it in.  eesh. feeling a bit torn in every direction. it's probaby best that i take the two days soon...or maybe i take the 4th completely off!...

11:30pm snack saturday night: 350 - apple and 3 truffle chocolates

6am: pita bread 150, some peanuts but hardly much at all 50, green tea with coconut/passionfruit, lots of fiber one and almond milk 300. 500, great!

850, very good considering how i am feeling lately.

2250, goodnight.

exercise: upper body weights, some abs, 5 mi walk...

healthy, tasty, wonderful breakfast: eggs on english muffin with sesame oil spread on both halves, greek yogurt 2%, passionfruit green tea : apprx 500 and delicious. i want breakfast to be like this during the week more often - more often than the cereals and bars..

total cal: around 2200, healthier. got all veggies in.

sleep early tonight!

exercise: 3 mi at park in rain! and then walking at mall.

probably around 5 mi total. good.
