Lunch: change of pace tasty chinese chop suey dish 300? with a mostly potato veggie 150 burger and white rice 200 650 or so. tasty, good.

Before gym: granola bar and caffeine 100

After gym (yay, going back finally!) protein cookie and two plums 550 and a few chips too. it the spot.

First need to take out $300 from ATM now....for breaks repair for tomorrow while i'm at work, dropping off car down the block first :-D

lots of $ out the window but it's mostly for good reason...lol but some waste also. life is good...anyways.  :-D yes.

aside from a couple skipped gym sessions, throat is now at 90% better & i'll be going there tonight.

I took a total of 5 days off in between sessions. today marks 6 days since my last workout - and at 90% feeling better and not liking to miss workouts...time to resume :-)

And yes, i was able to actually eat well during my days off gym....

and amazingly, the extra rest has cleared my skin!!!!

it would be nice for skin to stay clear...as i'm going away next friday night to a casino for fun night!

Home 6:30am: honey at 6am, followed by a lavender kombucha 60: 100 total.

8:30am Breakfast: wrap 60, cream cheese 100, lox 50 coffee 50: 260.

Snack: NONE :-)

12pm Lunch: white rice 250, cabbage 30, sauteed kale 100, turkey burger 170 550.

granola bar 100.  and later a 50 cal drink on way home

decent dinner: 1 large egg 90, two more whites 40. 130, banana 120, pumpkin mix (sauteed) 100, chocolate protein muffin 240: 600, good.

1650, excellent.

5day average: 1915 5-day. excellent.

exercise: 20 min walk in morning, was worth it because the day rolled thru and i didn't exercise anymore than that, plus moving around in afternoon at the court slightly but mostly sitting still. 

I hope to be back at gym tomorrow eve as sore throat is practically gone already tonight. extra sleep as helped greatly.


case was decided and i was guilty. is ok. i no longer touch my cell phone when driving, i must find the holder for it for when i use a gps with it. additionally, i need to get velcro for my gps when i do not use my phone gps since i do not have unlimited data.



I had some (very small amount) honey before a 20min walk this AM before my shower and kombucha since yesterday i didn't do any exercise and it feels really BAD to not do anything for multiple days.

I am on the mend, as Donkey says about herself, so I also like a little light walking rather than just sitting. Feels good to move the body as it also get's the blood flowing, heart pumping & digestion moving.


On another note, today I leave work midday @ 1:30pm to go to court (my time is 2:30pm there) to appear for a traffic ticket.  Hopefully it will NOT result in any points. I am sure it will result, either way, in money down the tube but it's def my fault i was talking on my phone holding it while driving - I have learned my lesson and no longer do this at all.  I know it's not safe for me and others - no more talking or texting on phone if i'm on the road - only if I pull over.

I have a defensive driving certificate with me in addition to other docs.  I took an online course soon after i got the ticket.  I then come back to work after court. Luckily, the court is around 20min only from work. Worked out very nicely this time in terms of the commuting part.

Even though i'm taking time outta work to do this event, court, I will not be working past 5pm today. Enough is enough & I am already sick.

The footwear company you asked about is Vionic. I ordered a pair of their shoes through Amazon. They arrived yesterday and I put them on. I swear, with an hour, NO PAIN in my foot. Today, I wore them to work. I am 3 hours into my shift & no pain!! So far, they have worked better than I thought they would. That may change in a week or so.. .but for now, remarkable!!!

Even though not 100%, close to it & planning on gym tonight - but i may change my mind if i feel very run down later on. Feeling still run down with slight body aches, not gonna exercise at all today - taking the day off :-) to read & AGAIN GO TO BED EARLY.

Then again, as long as I have the sore on my throat, right upper side only not the full throat, i may as well get rest...so...i'll bring gym clothes but not sure I am going. I do not want to be sick longer - so if I feel sick, I will go home after work. Maybe take a short walk in evening or at lunch instead of gym, yeah.


1am: yes really woke up with sugar craving, komucha 60,

6am honey 20, ACV drink 20, kombucha  60 160 total..and small bites of plantain. total since 1am 200.

8:30am: wrap 60, cream cheese 100, lox 50: 210 and a packet of matcha stuff (healthy) 20: total 230.

...(so many little things lol adds up a little bit glad i'm keeping track bc too many things i've had already!) 

12pm snack: almonds 150 cal also i did end up having a decaf coffee with milk and splenda, pretty much already accounted for.

1pm Healthy Lunch: white rice 200 so tasty still, cabbage 60 (yep, a full bag cooked previously at home), turkey burger 160, spinach sauteed 100, and some bitter melon (caribbean dish) sauteed 50? total here: 600 approx and very healthy.

1200 after a healthy lunch. craving gum. may have some later. throat starting to improve greatly. no gym tonight...getting extra rest so i can go back strong for gym.

...really pushing that i want to go to gym after work...i may!...

Dinner plan - to have a small volume sorta thing so i am not bloated tomorrow. planning on gym Wednesday eve hopefully. will have a lot of this pumpkin that's stewed so on the very soft side and mixed with a protein pudding that has probiotics. looking to not be bloated in the AM. it should be around 600 cal, tops and strawberries also tonight.

1850 or so. good. no exercise still lethargic.

Def still no gym today even though i brought gym clothes to work bc i am still feeling sick...lower energy and not wanting to overdo. I may have to skip 2 workouts. It'll be like a week off, that's all. Hopefully I can resume Thursday (and just take around 6 days off)..since i hadn't had a week off in awhile, this is good.

I will try to resume tomorrow, Wednesday so that I can go W, F & Sunday. that means i am only skipping 1 workout this week, we shall see...

But then it's stressful also going into next week...so nevermind. I'll go back to the gym on Thursday eve. That's all.

SICKNESS SUCKS. Glad it's only a virus...but it's still a pain in the butt.

I will comment on your diary, but i saw you said you are having a difficult time managing your time - trust me - i'm in your boat and you aren't alone in the least. EVERYONE IS TOO BUSY ! so don't feel to badly about that situation!

I'm here, reading.... Not much inspiring to write about since I'm still on the mend. Energy is around 90%, but still coughing a lot. Fever's gone so I was only out for 1 day at work. Seriously, this bug is nasty, give yourself time to heal. I'm back to light walking, no weights yet.

gonna gave to go to Walk-in Clinic type of dr on my way home after work to check this out. it's a sore throat and body aches...since Friday night and today being the worst of it - time to check it out - bc i am too run down for gym - means i am sick!





Have a sore throat, planning to prob stop by dr after work....because i don't want it to get any wore...maybe make sure it isn't strep throat. I have had this since Friday eve, so i think it's good i go to doctor because i'm also feeling very run down, despite tons of sleep.

10am Tasty, comforting breakfast: raw Manuka honey therapeutic grade 60, cooked cranberries 60, almond milk 30, wheat bran and oatmeal mix 200, cocoa powder 40, peanut butter 200, cinnamon, stevia. total approx 600.

12:30 low cal frozen yogurt in a carmel flavor, not to buy again. 150. (not a big fan of caramel, but i wanted to try it as it was the only flavor left i hadn't tried!)

1pm turkey burger, i made them, on wrap with avocado 400 :-) and some chips 70.

took a nap from around 3-4pm, feeling very low energy.

Healthy dinner: turkey burger 160, avocado 160, wrap 80: 400, kombucha small amount30, egg & egg whotes 140, popcorn 160

dessert halo top choc chip cookie dough ice cream 100

2050 - good.

no gym, feeling sick, but did go for a 30min stroll outside instead of staying home all day.


Yesterday was a lot of fun in city. Went out to dinner at a place i had a groupon for so it wasn't expensive & saw a wonderful broadway show - On Your Feet. It's the story of Gloria & Emilio Estefan.

A bit under weather with sore throat and stye in eye...busy month...overall i did great though!


Because i've been doing more and stressed with no days off....i have a slight sore throat...i may skip gym to rest today.

Hope you feel better today. Sounds like you had a great time in the city. Your food log sounds delicious. How do you make your turkey burgers? Do you add anything? I haven't tried to make that, yet. You mentioned peanut butter...I recently tried Jiff whipped PB (only 140 cals for 2 Tbsp). It is declicious; found it at Walmart. Have a great day dear :)

Yes, i use the same whipped PB that you mention. It saves calories and i can take a little more and it's still the same calories, 200, as regular even when i use extra over the two tablespoons & it tastes good & spreads so well! It's great that stuff!

I do make my own turkey burgers. I enjoy using ground meat better than when i buy the ground meat that's already shaped into burgers at the store. I like to form my own with my hands bc i feel when i keep them a little thicker than the store's burgers, they cook up better. I am still experimenting. My burgers are so dry but i don't mind...this time i added some garlic, black pepper, dry cilantro i had in the pantry & some celery dried also like a spice in powder form. Def better than without any seasoning...

I am still learning the basics of cooking but I have gotten much better this year :-)

Turkey is so healthy and good for you. Pure protein and hardly any fat.

Oh, i broil the burgers in oven, around 5-6 minutes per side. when i turn them over, the fat is easy to just scoop right off...different from when i cook them stove top. Calories are really low, 160 cal per burger.

My mom told me to add breadcrumbs to the burger to make them tastier. I kinda like them as they are, maybe another time i'll add mushroom or something.

Still feeling under the weather but hoping i can resume gym tomorrow night, with only one of my workouts skipped (i workout 3x per week).

Even though i skipped a workout, i pushed myself to stroll around the neighborhood for 30 minutes and truly i am so happy i did that...because my real goal is on cardio for the remainder of this year (i am getting into running so i can join the nypd this coming january!)

thanks for your comments....we think alike on the food stuff. and the best about the whipped pb, is that it's healthy and same as regular pb - just some air. but same healthy nutrition!

Quick drive home to pick up cell phone i forgot at home before going to gym :-D

Slept so nicely Thursday into this AM. I needed it & I am glad i opted to be in bed early because I slept and woke slightly before my alarm but it meant i needed this sleep. I do feel better rested with sleep so it was good i did.

Usually I am very tired on Friday morning from gym the night before but tonight i will go instead of last night - seems this is yet another reminder that i must put sleep first & that sleep is going to be extermely, EXTREMELY, important as I work to continue to make my lower body stronger (WHICH I AM), legs prep for running (WHICH I AM!)....and sleep - it's just extremely NECESSARY for my well-being. Sleep is something my FATHER doesn't get enough of - but he has other qualities that make him in many ways "super-human" - in his mental strength to pull though.

But just because my father can do this doesn't mean he isn't affected - he has had to deal with LOTS of chronic health problems like asthma and chronic breathing problems, pollyps in his nose, chronic skin conditions that keep occurring like asthma...chronic lots of things...because he doesn't give himself (ever in his adult life) the proper sleep for restoration. I will be thankful from the bottom of my heart to him for all he has given me - he cannot EVER be repaid for the amount of endless love and support I have received from him. I am, eternally, grateful.  

My eyes are tearing as I write this at work at 8:40am. Life is confusing.  Life is complicated.  Life sometimes doesn't make much sense at all.  But we go with it.

Good progress, and I agree that sleep is so, so important. Our bodies just can't function, repair, build muscle, etc., without sufficient sleep, and each of us is different. Treasure your father while you have him. Life is beautiful but it goes too quickly :)

Work almost 9am: Wrap 100, cream cheese 100, lox 50. 250. coffee with milk 50. and chocolate bar small from coworker of course eating the whole thing lol 150 more. the granola bar was a peanut butter flavored one covered in chocolate by quaker from a coworker - smaller than a chocolate bar from the vending machine and a fraction of calories so at least that's good ;)

Just ordered extremely high quality Manuka 20% UMF (unique manuka factor which is tops!) from Amazon. I am ready to join NYPD...you shall see...i am making it easier & easier by doing basically everything in my power to make my body the strongest and readiest EVER!...from oils that i bought from Doterra to this New Zealand anti inflammatory honey...we are going to academy Jan '18 oh yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While getting pedicures I asked the best woman about her speech and invited her to read mine. Her critique was it was very long and I brought up a lot of stuff that everyone else wouldn't know about and therefore would probably find the speech boring and tune out. I asked how long her toast was and she said probably about one of my five paragraphs. I took her words to heart and just basically read the last paragraph of my speech along with a few other sayings...

I started off by saying how exciting I was considering the last three weeks I've been waiting on a giraffe to give birth - This went over rather well - got many laughs and chuckles from it. I then made the comment that I met Dianne during our sophomore year in high school in driver's ed. All the years I have know here she has always described herself as being a round peg fitting in a square hole. I believe that ever since she has known Kelly that her corners have all been filled. And then the last paragraph...which you have already read but will include it

Time as a way of showing us what really matters. This is your time know and I hope you continue to having those long meaningful conversations, listen and talk to one another about dogs and be happy together. And Kelly, if Dianne ever gets too made at your...remember she loves ice cream time. As you both continue on your fantastic journey together I hope you find peace and acceptance. I wish you both joy and happiness but above all of this, I wish you love. Here's to Dianne and Kelly!

I couldn't eat dinner that was catered because i was so nervous, but I was told I did a great job. It was a beautiful wedding and I had a great time. I didn't want to come back to Ohio when I was enjoying 75-80 degree weather while there. Oh well. Thanks for asking and thanks again for your input and assistance on editing. I appreciate it so much.

950, wow good!..seriously feel like i'm forgetting something! not snacking before lunch seems better....calorie-wise..

After gym: will be higher carbs, of course, and maybe fruit as well: protein cookie peanut butter flavor 400, and whole small container blackberries 120 just gonna say 550.

total today is also absolutely GREAT (i def need low cal week(s) right now)  1600 today. very, very good.

Avg for 5days: 1960! the bomb! this is great i'm rocking back in the 1900s rather than higher like the past several weeks were, fabulous!


Got a PERFECT spot on street which means easier dealing with parking situation and gym tonight next door to work :-D

Ok..almost on time today - late by only 5min...i should improve this back to being on time, i'd say.  Reflects better on me and will need to be prompt at any job. Working on this and will be on time for the rest of the week!!

Home: Rose flavored kombucha (tops! wow!) 50, little bit seltzer with ACV and stevia.

Breakfast at work: coffee with milk and 1 splenda 50, tomato flavor wrap 60 with cream cheese 100 and lox 100. 310.

360.and couple candies 400 total in AM.

Snack: thinking almonds of which i need to bring more to work..i have a ton at home..

Lunch: no meat mix of veggies, nuts & small bites tofu. also bag of some kinda non-gmo cheese puffs. low cal & i wanted a grain / chip...  chips / puffs 150, nuts at least 200-250, veggies 100, beans 150,: ahh, gonna say 650! didn't realize it'd add up to sooo much!

1050 after lunch :)

snack before park 100 cal granola bar and drink

1150 before dinner

bigger, but healthy dinner: large amount of white rice 350 tops, veggies in ginger sauce 300 with 1 egg 80 and mostly egg whites after that 60: 800 most.

1950, tops i'd say. all basically healthy!

2 mile WALK! SO NICE. no ankle brace. felt good at end.

2050 4-day average, very good!!


Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!
