This week's calorie plan: low calories obviously, but especially trying for low cal on Monday, Tues, Wed, Thurs.

Friday I have a party at a bar to attend after work, I'll not be worrying too much about calories on Friday other than to keep them moderate and not binge! :-D

7:30 Lighter low volume breakfast: kombucha and bar 240

9:30am snack kelp chips ! 100, some cooked veggies 80?, yogurt 120 540...and leftover drink with coconut milk and tumeric 40. 580. Gym later this afternoon..also my laundry and maybe some cooking.

12pm: grilled veggies 100, other veggies in sauce with some nuts 200?, Greek yogurt with cooked cranberries and fiber one 300. 600.

Before gym: some of an energy drink & natural fruit & nut bar 150

5:30 early dinner: jerk chicken 300, sautéed spinach 100, Israeli salad 50...Quest S'mores bar for dessert 200. 650, good.

Total Calories around 2,000 today. Good.

Exercise was full weights routine, back, abs. And around a 15 min walk.

It's 5:45pm, just finished dinner...debating doing it tomorrow night & being lazy tonight.

did my laundry thankfully. got it done a lil before 7:30pm or 8pm.  Always best to get it done before the week starts :-)


Was gonna go home for dinner with parents but instead I am staying in queens and having a restful afternoon and evening. I am simply not in a mood to run around today. It's a busy week ahead including a birthday party at 6pm on Friday night coming up after work. So, till then, I have enough to do and need some downtime today.

I need to talk about last night. I was emotionally and physically exhausted. Went to bed around 8:30pm Friday night and then woke to use bathroom a couple times during the night. But other than that, I slept till around 7am this morning and I still feel exhausted. It could be the big meal and binging that did me in last night? Not sure. I have a feeling this month is gonna feel a lot like this but I will try to see what I can do to stop these horrible feelings I have been having. Just too exhausted on Friday at work yesterday...

8:30am Breakfast: bar 190, kombucha, 60...250

Morning Snack: coffee 50

Light snack at 1pm: natural nut and dried fruit bar 150

total morning cals: 450 I think? I feel I might be forgetting something, but prob not...

2:30 light meal: sautéed spinach, 2 big cups worth: 300?

3:30 snack: greek yogurt 150 with cooked cranberries 50, stevia, and fiber one 60: 250 or so

6:00 big dinner: Ben's Jewish Deli with best friend: 3 pickles 30, Israeli salad 50?, soup 150, lots of hot pastrami 300? on one piece bread around 100...I think this is it...around 650, decent!

total today: around 1650-1700 - EXCELLENT.

Too much caffeine? It might be that you need to keep the caffeine to what you drink before noon and then see how you do. I'm sensitive to the little caffeine in chocolate, but it's fairly minor if I don't overeat it.

Hard to let go of caffeine--took me forever to get to the place I'm at with it, but it kept being the stumbling block I just knew was tripping me up. Still was hard!

1050 & then some chips in afternoon at work. so, 1200 before dinner.

Balanced dinner (with extra fat because I think I've been slacking) 1/2 avocado 160, shirataki noodles 0, tofu 50, tons of veggies in basil sauce 250, big orange 100. 560...but I am wanting something more tonight & may have it....ah, I forgot to add the rice, just a little bit. 100. 660

No Exercise.

and a strawberry blow pop 60 . and chocolate peanut quest bar for dessert 170 - 230

and a natural fruit / nut bar 240 Larabar Chocolate Coconut Chew

2350 or so.

1822 7-day calorie average. Not too bad, pretty good overall. T

oday was a nice day off from the lower calories. I enjoyed the splurge tonight.

My weight is back around 119-120 in the morning.

6-day calorie average: 1735 per day.

Calories before leaving work today: 1050. pretty healthy. 2 cups regular coffee in morning & one cup decaf. tired week. but a fast week.


I will have a grapefruit (100) and a fiber one oats & chocolate bar (160) and caffeine drink (0) before gym. total cal: around 260.

my boss has been gone since 3:30 today so i'm def off at 4:30pm

after gym: grapes and a Cookies&Cream Quest bar. up to 250 at most.

total cal today: around 1550.

major success.

I must admit I have been having energy drinks (usually not a full one, sugar free type) before the gym when I go during the week. But I also must say, my workouts have been INCREDIBLE. I can last longer & go harder. Much longer & harder. So it makes me want to continue with this type of routine.

5-day average cals per day: 1770, good. First week of December has been fully successful.

6:30am Early drink: kombucha 70, later decaf coffee 50

8:30am Breakfast: banana and a bar 350

11am Snack: 1/2 a huge bar from boss, higher sugar (gave me a ton of energy, for real....) 200

approx. 700 cal before lunch.

2:45pm!!! Late semi healthy lunch - 50 veggies, chips 200, veggie burger 100

1050 before dinner.

5:45pm dinner: huge salad with vinegar / olive oil 300???, turkey meatloaf 300?, more slaw 100, pita chips 120


5-day total: (was gonna be lower, but I gave into a more substantial dinner) - 1770/day. good.

4-day calorie average - 1750. I can have weight loss if I stick to these types of averages.

Tuesday was better than Monday & gym included today.

Success all around.

Sorta too many bars, but you can bet I also had healthy food - lunch was good. small bag popcorn, rest of the leftover turkey, cooked kale and also cooked collard greens.

gym was amazing. I had caffeine around 4:30 and when I got to the gym at 5:30 until I left at 7pm, I was able to have a really strong workout.

I even used the 30lb weights for one set. I have NEVER tried using 30lb weights for anything except when I used to use one lifting in back of my head with both arms holding a single 30lb. This was chest flys - 30lbs in each hand. AMAZING - sometimes progress can take what feels forever - but if you stick to it and attempt to push yourself every so often, you will make progress. It comes. Don't ever get discouraged. The power to change is in EVERYONE. You just need to stick with it. And i'm sticking with it till her wedding - after her wedding, I might take some time off the gym completely, on purpose.  Additionally, after her wedding, I'm thinking to have a friend of mine from Toronto come visit :-) Nice change of pace. I will use my new vaca from work.

Anyways, 1250 cal including a 400 cal snack before gym - a cookie, grapes, and a protein bar. yup. with a small (less than a cup) of coffee.

Total cals today are 1550. perfect.

2-day weekend calorie average = 1900/day - excellent!

Early morning drink: kombucha 70

Dinner: salmon jerky 130, tons of veggies not too much sauce 450? Around 600 total.

1650 today - great. Exercise - around 1 mile walking. 10 min lunch, 10 min evening.

Will rest my ankle today though. Left ankle still not great. Right leg is doing fine though! No problems with my right limb in a long time & very thankful for that. Just need to strengthen my left side.

Happy Sunday.

Overall, it's been a nice weekend. I just wish my left ankle would stop bothering me. I'm trying to just continue to stretch & forget about the pain. Can't hound on it, you know?

9am-10am Breakfast / snacking: kombucha 30 & turmeric drink with added almond milk 120

11am snack: warmed S'mores Quest Bar 180

12:15 healthy lunch: small bit of avocado, olive oil also on toast 200, turkey 100, roasted brussel sprouts 100: 400 :) SATISFYING. I think I've not been eating enough fats lately. gonna get more of them in me this week.

Big dinner: 8oz burger on big bun 800?, some fries 150?, collard greens 2 portions 200? 1150. 1850-1950 good.

 Anyways, it's been a good weekend. No crazy high calorie-counts and relaxation. Some $$ spending but I got some great food / clothing / candles and lots of deals obviously. All is good. Got two free pairs of underwear from Victoria's secret and $10 dollars off a bra. Then, I got 2 Yankee candles for $15...but then there was a better sale at Bath & Body Works - but I chose not to go. They had the 3-wick candles for only $12 instead of the regular $22 and I had a coupon for $10 off a $30 purchase! I was planning to get 3 3-wick candles, but ran out of time. It would have only cost me $26 for all 3 3-wicks instead of the regular $66! Great deal, but I chose to wait until another sale. I spent enough money. Lastly, I went to Old Navy...and got a few tops. All inexpensive, around $10 each. And they are nice ones, too.

And today...I'm off to see an Off-Broadway matinee with a couple friends. I'll be meeting them right there, in front of the theater at 2:30pm.

Doing some laundry now. Was gonna cook some veggies, but I doubt it...maybe tomorrow night. I'd rather read right now.



Weight head-talking....

I stepped on the scale this AM. I weigh around 122. I will be back around 118-119 by New Years I think. Even a couple days of eating less & less bloat may get me there.

I have what I guess you can call a final month of the year resolution. My goal is to make the month of December my BEST month of the year. My goal is to stick to this goal...for the whole month. NOT to get derailed. If I have to skip the gym bc of being tired, I will. But really, my goal is to get all my workouts in (3x a week) and try to fit in a few leg sessions or just do my stretches at home.

My sister's wedding is looming...can't wait till I don't need to think about it. At times like this, I wish I were more of a party person. I really don't want to go dress shopping lol. Doing that in January. But of course i'm happy for her! Actually...I guess I keep forgetting how many months till her wedding - A LOT! It's 4/2/16. So, 4 months away. I want to be 115lbs then.

It will be the first time for me, weighing 115 lbs, since around September of 2009. I was 24/25 years old. And leading up to then, I was under 115 from age 20/21 thru turning 25. So like 5 years I was around 112lbs. However, I will admit that maintaining wasn't easy - and I was much more active than I am now. I also didn't eat as much as I do now. In order to reach 115, I will have to lower my calories a bit.  I know I will NOT be able to keep it up for 4 months straight, till the wedding. But in December, I'd like to make a big dent in my goal. Then I can readjust as needed in January / February.

Grand total calories for today are 1850! and that's a good total to start a new week of calorie-counting. Tomorrow will be good, very good as well because I see they have collard greens at the restaurant i'm going to - and - I'll be out all afternoon into the night. I will not be binging or making poor choices tomorrow. Looking forward to a nice end of the weekend with friends in the city.

For the month of December, I will make it my business to eat well - and make sure calories are staying low. Goal is to get to 118 or under 120 by New Years. If not, goal is to at least maintain 120...you know it's hard in the winter (but that's just another one of my excuses...)

Not wanting to eat more than 1200 today. But I did.

I really don't want to lose every pound of progress I lost in September. Just a few things to do today - pick up bottled waters for work from drugstore, exchange a ripped shirt at old navy (wasn't planning on doing this until I saw the rip and it's a loose, very comfortable top that's perfect on days when I am full and bloated lol), gym. I prefer not even to go to the supermarket.

9am Breakfast: new flavor / brand of kombucha saying it's only 30 cal per bottle (might be a lie to persuade customers to choose this new brand over others as most kombucha brands are at least 30 cal per bottle...), banana, cookies & cream quest bar. total: 350. and fiber one 120 with almond milk 20. total: around 500. good.

11:45 - roasted Brussels 150, organic "Raw Revolution" brand chocolate raspberry chocolate bar 220 (lower protein, higher fat & carbs). lately not eating well...trying to get a surge of energy before gym...total cals here: 370. and a monster energy drink, like half.

total so far: 870...blech, anyways time for gym soon. later returning shirts to old navy but stopping home first. and that's really it. just lazy. would rather read now, but should go to gym after this bar and snack and early lunch. ugh. I am working on getting myself back on track. I'm not really off-track, I should move forward :-D

Gym - 1pm banana 130 1,000 2:30 chocolate 70 1070...not low cal or near as low as I wanted this is gonna take some effort for sure... what can I say - holiday weekend it is! 3:15pm frozen yogurt low sugar of course 150 1220, good...

On way home from errands, 5pm: a chocolate. 70

total so far: 1300

big dinner; lots of salad(s) with dressing 150-200, leftover roasted carrots and squash 150, little bit of leftover tofu in a light sauce 30, beef jerky (last packet in my apt...) 120. almost reached for a 100 cal bag of popcorn but gladly didn't make it because no doubt I am full. total dinner calories 500-550. good.

total today: is actually quite good.  I am proud of myself, yes. total - 1850. it's a good start to the week!

2150 7-day average....moving forward. still cravings tonight. craving carbs. I've eaten enough though.

I found a rip in a new shirt I have, so going to old navy tomorrow to try to exchange it. last minute extra plan in my plans....lol. other than that, I will try to lie low tomorrow just try to do minimum things because sunday is going to be very busy...getting tired just thinking about it....

...on another note, my sister's wedding is approx. 4 months away. cannot wait till it's over so I don't need to even think about it. I almost wanna give up on weighing 115 by her wedding. I know I am up in my weight a bit, maybe weighing 122-123 now at least. gotta work on this. easiest way to lose a few pounds is to have some REALLY low cal days. I guess I need to have those, and then just be moderate on the days between. I should try hard. I should stick to my guns with this one. Her wedding is 4/2 and it'll be over soon. I should try hard and get to where I want to be so I can be proud I achieved the goal I've been thinking about for so long!

so yeah, i'm gonna achieve 115 by april. I don't even have any more holidays to prevent me from continuing to progress. as for new years eve, I have to work that day, so I may not even go out that night...just thinking how to have a calmer few months until her wedding / bridal shower / and other nonsense that weddings include...sorry guys (well mostly ladies) but I'm not someone who loves big get togethers - especially big events like weddings. sorry, but it's not for everyone. I am very out of my comfort zone at events like these.  especially due to the dressing up aspect. lol.

Happy Friday :) Staying with folks a little longer than expected (stayed with them till 2pm today!)..

9:30am breakfast: dry oatmeal flakes 150, in yogurt 150, with tons of cinnamon and a baked apple 150 with dried fruit and prunes 100. 550 - more than expected but good.

Snack at noon - peanut butter 100

1pm Lunch:Thanksgiving lunch leftovers lots of turkey maybe at least 300, roasted carrots and roasted butternut squash (large servings) 300?, chips 100. Around 700 but healthy and natural and some green tea...

4pm Snack in afternoon: iced coffee with milk 50

7pm Dinner: healthy, but still eating too much...hopefully not too much more than 600.

not a low cal day but it will be a healthy day... However, I will be successful tomorrow in making it a low cal day. My goal will be 1200-1500 for both Saturday and Sunday.

Stayed over at my parents until after lunch Friday so it's a slight change of plans eating-wise today. Feels good to just be home here and relax.

Around 2,050 overall calories today.

exercise: little bit of walking, around 40 minutes i'd say.
