Lost my curser again. This hasn't happened in a long while. So an interest weekend. Friday had a total blowout - total calories for the day was 3138 - OMG DH's son stopped by and visited for awhile and then headed home. DH is so estatic when the YA (Young Adult) drops by without an invitation. It was a nice visit.

Saturday DH was up early and went to work. I got up about 8:00. Stripped the beds and started laundry. Scrubbed the bathrooms and started a pot roast. Started watching April the giraffe and am totally engrossed in the birth process there - even more so than the Eagles in Florida. OMG it's just nature, but so interesting too. B: cheerios L: cheerios D: pot roast, cauliflower and salad S: gold fish, yogurt After dinner, DH and I went shopping. We met the YA at SAM's to change over the membership. I never ever go, so DH put the YA on his membership. Then we get back home and the YA stays around again, I really think he just missed his dad the last four years. He made his car payment and all is good. Ended the day with 1260 calories

SUNDAY - The YA turns 19 today, he had plans with his other family members...not his mom - they are still fighting. We tell him not to let time pass and to mend fences with her by the YA says she didn't even wish him a happy birthday - this is so sad. B: crumpetts, peanut butter, iced vanilla latte L: beef sticks, brioche buns D: chicken lasagna, salad Lots of laundry today, watched the giraffe most of the day - still no calf :( Ended the day with 1440 calories

MONDAY!! Still no calf!! was up at 4:30 and did zumba for 55 minutes - hope this is a good Monday! B: Special K breakfast sandwich, iced vanilla latte S: apple L: ham and cheese wrap, orange S: balanced breaks D: left over chicken lasagna

On a better note, I am down three more pounds and was really excited this morning stepping on the scale. I was working on vacation plans over the weekend. We have decided we are going to Pure Michigan. We are going the end of July so DH's knee should be ready to go!

I boldly invited the YA this morning. I haven't heard back from him, but hoping he will come as well.

Monday at work...not the finest hour.

we are doing tourist things. Going to a lodge in Interlochen and stopping by the sleeping bear dunes. On the way home we are staying at a water park in Frankenmuth. It is a five day four night trip. Looking forward to it.

I am sorry you struggled during the weekend. Maybe to make you feel better - I have been struggling also to keep cals down the way I was earlier this fall and winter. Lately, my cals are always in the 2,000's for weekly avg instead of 1800's...big change and trying not to gain weight from it since it's been this way for over a month now.

One day will not cause too much damage, even at 3,000 cals. just try to get back on your horse ASAP. have faith in the process, you are doing GREAT.

I read further - GREAT CALS after the blowout. you rock, you got this!

B: special K breakfast sandwich, iced vanilla latte S: apple L: luncheon at work - 3 meatballs, penne in tomato sauce, vegetables (squash, zucchini, red peppers) salad with Italian dressing, garlic roll - two cookies - garlic roll - two cookies, garlic roll, one cookie

D: chips and salsa, beef chimichanga, chicken chimichanga, re fried beans, guacamole

Ate too much, feel sick and now ...revisiting the red peppers and wilted lettuce = NASTY!!

Haven't calculated calories yet but pretty sure it's way over!

Only did the 35 minute Zumba DVD today

I sent DH a recipe for Australian Chicken - It has bacon, cheese and some mustard sauce with mushrooms...he made it while I walked the dog. It was pretty good, except for the sauce, he said the instructions said to serve the sauce chilled...uh NO it would have been better heated. Ended the night with 1442 calories.

Woke up about 4:15 sweating - maybe a hot flash at night, I don't know, but I stayed up and did the 55 minute zumba DVD. I will probably look for another set of zumba DVDs.

I told DH to leave a few items out of my lunch to reduce calories - leave out - the breakfast protein bar 160 calories and leave out the individual size bag of gold fish - 200 calories. I asked him to replace them with an orange and some baby carrots and hummus (approximately 195 for both) Yeah...he left out the things, but didn't put the new stuff in....so I will be super hungry at dinner.

B: yogurt, iced tea

S: apple

L: ham, cream cheese wrap

S: balanced breaks

D: salisbury steak...I think

We have the girl tonight!

Sounds like a good day except for the lack of lunch substitutes. This was me yesterday --- didn't pack raw vegetables for the afternoon. OMG I was about ready to start biting other people's nails...

I agree...i'd want the sauce warm also!

Yeah those goldfish are stinky. lots of artificial stuff. you're better off with veggies or crackers that aren't as processed...or fruit or nothing..! you are RIGHT. oh...now i read what you want them replaced with - GOSH YES! you done so good lady. PERFECT replacements and so healthy!!!

maybe you can get something during work...or....on the way home, have a snack to calm you before dinner or drink seltzer on your ride home...these are things i do to suppress my appetite - when i wasn't able to snack right as i like to during day...

Left work, picked up DH and then went to get the girl. DH had his first therapy appointment and we were running behind. We stopped at subway and then dropped DH off for his appointment. The girl and I went home and talked. She talked about her step sister taking her and others to Kalahari this weekend (the water park in Sandusky). She talked nonstop for an hour. The stepsister is relying on her tax return to take seven kids to the water park ($69) a pop and then buying them all matching shoes. My girl is overly excited and I just hope the plans work out or else she will really be disappointed. I don't think I have ever received my tax return earlier than I anticpated. Oh well, I will worry about this next week, hopefully she does get to go.

We picked up DH from his appointment, I thought he would be upset but he wasn't which is a good thing. He came home and ate and the girl took a shower and i was telling him all about the plans for this weekend and all he says is, I hope she gets to go.  After the girl left DH went to take a shower. This is all well and good, except he didn't mention the fact that he was going to shave. I always get shell shocked when DH shaves off his facial hair, usually I require a warning. Last night I didn't get one...I will miss that beard! And it hurts when it grows back.

Finished Tuesday with 1450 calories.

I woke up on my own this morning about 4:25 - 5 minutes before the alarm was set to go off. I get up and do the Zumba DVD it is 55 minutes long. I just love this. I find it easier to exercise in the mornings. If I tell myself I am going to wait until the evening, it usually does not happen because...life! I keep getting up to exercise  because of the flight in three weeks. Getting nervous. I have been refining my toast and I am not a good speaker in front of people so this makes me nervous too! I haven't seen the scale move, but my clothes fit differently and I am able to hook my bra using the last row of fasteners...this I am happy about and will keep getting up for zumba. Was thinking of starting the C25K on 3/1/17 or maybe wait until I get back from my trip.

Hello InnerP!

Seems for this week it's just about me & you making our daily rounds on DD ;) I'll always post here as long as this site is around :-)

Great calories girlfriend. The more cardio i do, the easier it's been to control my weight. So nice job including your daily exercise.

Tax returns are cool these days (last year starting) for me - when i go, i get it direct deposit to my checking account within the week i went there. It's very fast with me signing the eform and getting everything done very quickly. Last year was the first year i did this direct deposit and it was SO EASY. Highly recommend - in addition to the e-filing i do with my accountant. By doing it this way, I know i'll get the money back to me shortly after the visit to drop off my tax paperwork.

I hope the girl gets to go also. That would be such a fun trip plus a new pair of sneakers :-) I hope they don't wear the new shoes around the water park though - bc they'll be ruined!

Lol...i recommend kissing him when his skin is extra soft & no hair! :)

My dad also does morning exercise so then whatever life throws at him during the day doesn't affect him getting his workout in. It's a good plan for you. As for myself, I cannot wake up so early to exercise bc i have tried it at two different points in my life and the lack of sleep and early wakeup was causing me to get very emotional and depressed. It didn't work for me personally, but i know many that it does work for.

I want to tell you to remain positive and confident about your toast. It was great what you wrote and I am fully supportive and know you will do a GREAT JOB. Remember that many will have drank a cocktail or two before you speak and that everyone is there to have a GOOD TIME and NOT judge you. They want you to do a good job, so, enjoy yourself. Enjoy the moment of being happy for her.

Also you are well-prepared in advance for giving this speech. You worked on it and at it and made sure to have it ready. You gave it your attention and heart. Please remember she asked you to speak bc she loves you and wants you in her life and especially on this special day....so when you speak, remember that this is a special moment for not only her and her wife, but for you! Please remember to enjoy doing this - and maybe this will calm your nerves. Also, not a bad idea to have one drink like an hour before if you do drink - just to calm you....but def don't give it while drunk! oh my...i want you to do a GOOD JOB! Happy for you!!

Great cals. you have made the changes and you eat so much better now. Good stuff girl!

Also - i know you cook - i am having so much fun cooking now. I made, for the first time lol, my own turkey burgers last night - i didn't really flavor them - beyond some garlic and curry spice - but still...i am so happy i am cooking a bit. saves so much $$$ too!

Oh the weekend I miss you all ready.

DH was up and gone by 6:30. The girl and I was up at 8:00 and out the door by 8:30 to meet up with her brother to get the title transfer completed. We had breakfast at McDonald's. We went first to the only title office open in the North East Ohio area (or so it seemed). It wasn't even the first of the month and I thought we would be in and out, yeah, that didn't happen. It took over an hour.. The clerk gave us some wrong information and had us stop by the e-check place to ensure the car was not emitting bad stuff into the ozone - this was not necessary as the current e-check was good until July. Wasted 30 minutes there. Finally we get to the DMV and get the tags. Another hour wait. When we finally finished and after $158 and some change it was going on 11:00.

I told DH the girl and I would come and bring him lunch and we had lunch from KFC. DH wanted to try the Tennessee Hot chicken and I had the Georgia Gold. We met DH at his work and had a little impromptu picknic and I can't belive it was almost 70 degrees out in February. After lunch the girl and I went shopping for some things. She wanted to make cake pops. We got everything except the candy melts. After dinner we went for the candy melts.

B: McDonald's biscuit, egg, bacon

L: chicken strips, biscuit

D: beef tips and noodles, brocolli tots and green beans - ending the night with 1804 calories.

Sunday

Laundry and cleaning

B: crumpett, peanut butter, iced vanilla latte

L: pizza from Sams

D: steak, salad, potatoes

S: yogurt, 2 cake pops

The girl took most of the cake pops home - thank goodness. Ending the day with 1359 calories

Monday

DH left for work about 7:30. I stayed in bed until 8:30. I had plans to get a perm, but changed them. I just couldn't bring myself to sit in the stylist chair for over two hours. I walked my dog instead.

B: crumpett, peanut butter, iced vanilla latte

L: balanced breaks; yogurt

D: chicken fried rice and lettuce wraps with hoisin sauce, watter chestnuts and green onion.

S: yogurt

Relaxed a little and DH's son came over for about 2 hours. We gave him is birthday stuff. He showed me all the new stuff he did to my old car. He takes better care of it than I did. Ended the day with 1610 calories.

Tuesday yucky work, but I will get through this day.

I was up three or four time during the night. I just thought I was over sleeping, was hot, then cold. Listening to DH breathe as loudly as possible, snore, fart and hog the covers was just too much. I had to leave. I was downstairs at 4:00 doing my zumba.

B: yogurt

S: breakfast bar, apple

L: left over rice, gold fish

S: balanced breaks

D: subway.

DH has an appointment for the therapist and we are eating subway.

lol to your biscuit (YUM i know how good those taste you make me sorta crave it even though i'm mad full!)...and lol to the crumpet...i dont think they are so great...they are just like moist right? when you buy the packaged ones.

nice baking with girlie it's def an asset to be able to bake....and especially to COOK once older. I"m not good, but learning...saves so much $ is the cool thing.

DH and I ate subway for dinner, I was hungry and ate the entire sandwich. It was good and I don't regret it. I ended the day with 2215 calories. This is the most I've had all year.

We went to bed about 9:00, I just knew the dog would wake me up, but he slept through the night which is awesome. I was up at 4:30 and did the zumba DVD. Can't say I'm pleased with the scale, but I do notice my clothes fitting better so I will just be happy about that.

The girl IM'd me last night asking me to tell her dad to delete the comment he made on facebook. First thing I do is go look and see what he posted. I couldn't find anything but a response to one of her posts. It was a Meme that read Name someone who you love more than anything in this world. All DH did was put his daughter's name and tag her. I didn't see anything wrong with that.

Then she Im's and says tell him I'm sorry I have to block him.

Anyway, I told her, OK, I will but I do not see anything wrong with what he posted. You are his daughter too, and for him to say he loves you is no crime! And for someone to say it is is the stupidest thing ever and it's a shame. And because I said that - go ahead and block me too I guess.

So today about 2:30 when the girl is in school I get a reply back: I agree with you and it's dumb that I have to block my dad I am wrong for making it seem it is a problem. - This doesn't even sound like something she would write, but who amd I? I cannot deal with all this drama that comes from her mom's house. I am going to dread this weekend! And then, there is something wrong with my ice maker!! OMG.

Had a crazy Wednesday. I have rosacea and sometimes it creeps into my eyes causing awful irritation in my eyes. So VA doctor wouldn't renew my perscription she told me to go to the eye doctor because she didn't think it was rosacea. OK Dr. Know it all!  It's not like I was asking for narcotics or opiates or anything.

So I request an appointment with the eye doctor and just so happens he could see me in the afternoon due to a cancellation. THank goodness.

Anyway, had a lunch meeting that I had to run out of to make it to my appointment, which is good especially when chips and salsa is involved.

Got to my appointment and gues what...it is rosacea in my eyes. So I have a new perscription and some drops and salve. I even asked so, who is supposed to give me the medication....the eye doctor....the dermatologist, cause Y'all be acting like I need gold or something! He kinda of chuckled and said he would give me the medication.

After the appointment I sat home withSteve for an hour before I went to pick up the girl who has missed the last two days of school because of an illness. Anyway, she went to her counselor appointment, I spoke to her briefly and left the girl to do her business. She said she wants to go back, so this is always a good thing.

DH made some crazy burrito bake thing that was just ok.

L: chicken quesadilla, refried beans, salad, some chips and salsa - was very frugal with this

S: laughing cow cheese

D: burrito, refried beans, corn, cheese bake

Ending the day with 1311 calories

I'm an disgusted with the scale and have an attitude today. I did not get up to do Zumba, but I will do it tomorrow.

I'm throwing that idiot thing out of my house for now!

Thursday was filled with conference calls - webinars and lots of people talking...talking...more talking

i have never heard of rosacea in the eyes. i hope you feel better. oh do you mean on your eyelids?

no it's in my eyes. I get ulcerations on my cornea that sting, itch, burn, scratchy, painful. It is awful. It flairs up once or twice a year. The doctor explained it like - a scraped knee on your eye.

Happy Valentine's Day. I'm not to keen on it. DH gives me a note in my lunch everyday, so everyday is special for me, except it is my Mom's BD so that in itself is very special.

Just home last night. I walked my dog, slowly he is getting back to normal, but he is still kinda skittish.  For dinner I had two of the quinoa crunch patties, salad, avocado and 2TBSPS of ranch dressing. I ending the day with 1514 calories.

Sunday when I was rearranging the cabinets, because I couldn't find anything I got a charley horse in my right calf, it hurt so bad, it is still sore today. Anyway, I did get up to exercise but the minute I walked down the stairs I knew it wouldn't be pleasant so i went back upstairs and tried to go back to sleep. I couldn't - So I just laid there with my dog, DH was still asleep.

B: Special K breakfast sandwich, iced vanilla latte

S: apple

L: ham, cream cheese, avocado on tomato basil wrap, orange

S: balanced breaks

D: supposedly rotissierie chicken, could change

no plans for anything tonight...everyone enjoy your Valentine's Day!

I am glad that everyday is a happy, loving day for you. I had no idea that DH spoils you with lunch notes! how sweet!!

Dinner sounds tasty...good, healthy fats of avocado. I think i need more healthy fats in my diet, for sure!!

I don't know if I told you but I did find the quinoa patties at Aldi's. I have yet to prepare one for lunch though. Other foods keep getting in the way, LOL, but now that I'm out of the veggie burgers from Morningstar Farms, the next time I'm out of lunch options, I'll be making a quinoa patty

I hope you like them. I enjoy them with alvacado and ranch dressing. No bread. I've only had them in the air fryer so I'm not sure how they would taste in the over or toaster over. About the same I supposed. HAve a good day.

Friday night -

DH and I decided to drive to Sandusky. We had Subway for dinner. I only ate 1/2 my foot long - this is such a victory to me. In other days I would have stuffed myself to finish the sandwich. Get to Sandusky and this store doesn't have my yogurt, what the what? I find something I like and then no one carries it. I have on more store to check and then I will politely give up. Ended Friday with 1349 calories.

Saturday

I woke up with a headache but decided to get up and move around because I did have errands to run.

I started out taking my dog to get his nails slipped - he hates this so much. Then I went had got my new car registered and picked up the tags, then I headed off to Pat Catan's to get some things I wanted to make treats for work and ended at the uniform store to get DH some more shirts to stain up at his work. I had wanted some stew but when I was out at other stores, I found a huge bargain on ribeye steaks so I bought them for DH to grill for dinner. All in all it was a good day and I stayed busy and for once i wasn't thinking of food!

B: yogurt

L: bacon jerkey

D: ribeye steak, cauliflower tots and salad

After dinner I made a cake to make the cake pops with and made a cookie brownie. Normally DH and I would have had this devoured in one night, but we only had a 2" piece. (230 calories). I ended Saturday with 1345 calories.

Sunday

I was up and doing laundry, again there were things I wanted to get done and instead of just 'changing my mind' and not doing them...I actually got them accomplished.

Swept and mopped the kichen, three loads of laundry, made the cake balls (this is my first time trying and getting them dipped in chocolate was the wost experienc ever in my life) I made 24 cake pops. I dipped 48 pretzel rods in vanilla, chocolate, salted carmel and peanut butter melting candy and packaged it all up nicely and then I made the cherry chip cupcakes and decorated them. All of this was for work and there are still six pieces of the cookie brownie I made Saturday night left!

I was in a hurry to get all my stuff done because I needed my fill of the Walking Dead and was happy to watch it again.

B: Kings Hawaiian Toast, iced vanilla latte

L: quinoa crunch patty, ranch dressing

D: pork loin, salad, brocolli and cheese

bites, licks and tastes were all counted and I finished Sunday with 1412 calories.

Needless to say all those treats are in the breakroom and all the staff is eating them instead of me or DH!

Slept pretty good all weekend except for waking up with the headache. My face is stupid and breaking out again. This rosecea is terrible and it has crept into my left eye. I will have to call my PCP and renew the prescription, that I shouldn't have let run out.

Was up at 4:30 and did the entire 55 minutes of the zumba workout - so happy I finished the DVD.

B: Special K Bacon, egg and cheese flatbread sandwich

S: apple

L: ham and cream cheese wrap, gold fish, cake pop

S: orange

D: quiona crunch burger, avocado, ranch dressing

No drama this weekend and was very happy. Have a great night!

Which brand / type is your yogurt! that stinks they didn't have it but maybe there is something just as good! i know what you mean, i went to buy ground turkey on Friday and the store only had Ground chicken! ouch! so i got the chicken, but totally wanted the turkey!

I made mashed cauli last night...should be tasty as i added one small piece of butter, garlic, pepper, salt.

i know what you mean - it feels good not to be lazy and to get a lot done...

gotta say - lately i'm doing more too. as my legs have gotten stronger, i am not wanting to be so lazy. i think part of my problem with never wanting to cook was the fact that my legs hurt all the time and now that they don't....its easier to get stuff done.

kings Hawaiian toast sounds...i wonder what it is!

It is a brand - Usually Kings Hawaiian roles but I found some sliced bread. Funny thing - DH burned six pieces in the toaster before he turned the toaster down. I guess this cooks quicker than wheat bread. It is very sweet.

DH and I picked up the girl and got home. They showered and I made the goulash. It turned out pretty well, but I think I added too many noodles. I ended the day with 1373 calories. I'm ok with this. DH and the girl went to pick up a presecription and I washed the dishes. DH told me the girl told him she can no longer go to her grandma's house because apparently the grandma said something bad about her step-dad. Poor girl.

Went to bed about 10:00 but my dog wanted me up at midnight. I was up for about 45 minutes and then went back to bed. Was up again at 4:40 to get the zumba in. I did about 45 minutes of zumba and drank some iced tea.

I had an appointment to get blood work at the VA but I forgot all about it until after I ate breakfast. I will reschedule it for another day.

B: yogurt, iced vanilla latte

S: apple

L: left over goulash, orange, balanced breaks

S: sting cheese

D: probably Subway

DH and I are going to Sandusky to the Meijers grocery store and he said something about Ryan's but I don't think I will be eating there, no self control some times. We will just eat at subway before we go.

Progress as of today: 15.6 lbs lost so far, only 96 lbs to go!

I might to subway tonight also...this would be a really salty day for me then...since breakfast and lunch were salty too...but...at least they weren't sugary also!? right!?

i thought goulash was like a veggie dish? i am thinking of a sorta stew / sorta side dish of mainly squash cooked with eggplant also and tomato in a light sauce...i want to make that !!

Sounds like you're doing very well! One of my co-workers loves Zumba too. This is something that I cannot do because of lower back problems, and I'm not much of a dancer either, but she says she has a LOT of fun :-)
