What a great few days off. Friday I left work and was happy, not because of the three day weekend, but because it was the first time in a very long time that nothing on my body hurt. I left early and just went home, DH was getting the girl. I tried to take a nap, but between the dog barking and DH texting it was little if nothing at all. DH got the girl and of course she is hacking and coughing, said it just started after lunch that day!

D: Moe's SW grill - an imitation of Chipolte or vice versa - Had a burrito bowl and DDP. Afterwards we just go home and everyone does whatever it is they do.

Saturday I couldn't get up and we didn't go on the hike, we did leave around 10 and go to the cheese barn, stopped at a few garage sales on the way and also checked out a camping and lake spot. After the cheese barn we decided to go to an outlet mall, which I haven't been to one in years. I was estatic that I was doing all this walking and I wasn't hurting anywhere. DH was limping and his knee was not the best, and well the girl was moping and stuffy. She couldn't breathe and kept coughing. We did find a buy one get 50% off sale and got the girl two pair of shoes for school. We ended up at wal-mart and bought some clothes for her for this summer.

B: bagel with cream cheese

L: no lunch really but lots of samples of cheese, jerky, salsa, jams, dips, etc. at the cheese barn.

D: open faced Dirty Robert sandwich at the 50's diner down the street - beef patty, with onions, mushrooms and cheese and french fries, which I gave to DH.

Thunder lost! Very sad they tied up the series 3-3.

SUNDAY:

Rearranged the living room, planted some flowers, all kinds of laundry, cleaning and TV - got into marathon of Leverage and we walked the dog

B: bagel with cream cheese, iced vanilla latte

L: asiago bagel

D: chicken ranch wrap, french fries

MONDAY:

B: blue berry bagel with cream cheese, iced vanilla latte

Finished laundry and did a lot of nothing...enjoyed the day.

DH received a text from the ex staying that since we had the girl all weekend and Monday could he just pick her up once this week? What? it's his weekend and his holiday, why? Because....her reply...was to spend time with her? What the hell? She has her 90% of the time. She said they had plans.  Yeah right whatever...school is out and she will be home everyday, all day, doing a big fat nothing! We talked to the girl and said we would just pick her up on Thursday and when we do, we want to hear all about all the things they did especially on the evening when she should have been with her dad. This crap is so exhausting!

L: corn

D: chicken fried steak (a small piece) hamburger patty size, mashed potatoes, gravy and steamed broccoli

After the girl left I started to walk the dog and he shot out of the house like a bullet, chasing after a cat. He then ran over to the neighbors' house having a party in their driveway and started trouble with their dog. The owner of the dog picked up their dog and Steve kept barking like a lunatic, until I finally made it over there and leashed him up. On the way around the block he ran into three rabbits, another dog he about choked itself trying to get away from it's owner and then a rogue dog with a blue bandana on was wondering around and wouldn't leave us alone, so I had to carry Steve back to the house....and then the THUNDER choke and lose the series...dang it. Oh well...NOW... GO CAVS!

And tomorrow June 1st will still be here...bring it!

Got home and DH grilled the chicken. I made a tomato, cuccumber, alvocado salad with honey lime dressing - delish!

DH is finally off on Saturday...first time in almost a year! I told him about that before he accepted the job, but you know men.

We have a hike scheduled for 7:00 tomorrow and then we are taking a trip to Ashland to the cheese barn. It is just something we do - making a day of it. That is all that is really scheduled for the weekend, besides yard work.

I get to leave a few hours early today...cool!

B: toast, iced vanilla latte

S: protein bar

L: bag of cheetos, balanced break, banana

THUNDER UP! should finish tomorrow - hopefully. ;)

I love hearing about all these veggie dishes that you tear up! :) i mean cook up, i'd be tearing them up because they do sound amazing, especially the dressing to this particular salad you talk about!

We got out early from work too - how nice right!? a few extra hours helped me out so much...i got to get ready to go out & have the best time i had in a long time :)

protein bars are a snack of my choice too. mornings :) if you ever want to discuss protein bars or get my faves or new finds that i like, i order some that are really cool from amazon and all over. they are quite pricey though. i have tried practically every bar & brand out there!

sorry to hear about the thunder. we may get that tomorrow, Monday.

We picked up that girl and she had a book bag crammed with stuff and two plastic bags of crap. DH asked her what she had and she said it was her school stuff, that they had to take everything home. Well, why are you bringing it to our house? She said because Marty (the step dad) won't let her have it. WTH is wrong with this person - yes the same one who says the library is stupid! A$$ hat! I told her to tell her mother that we are not a storage facility. I have all kinds of crap at my house, it is frustrating.

After dinner I wrote in the journal and then was surfing around looking on Darebee and found an exercise plan I actually think I could do and was showing DH and he pops off...I think ice cream would be good right this minute. So he had no interest in my work out program. We went to DQ, I had Steve so we were outside under the umbrella and I asked him, didn't he want to get back to his weight from Fort Lewis. He replied yeah, but I also like ice cream and good food. which is the same with me, but I am getting sick of being uncomfortable.

we take the girl home and get back and watch the Cavs destroy the raptors. This team did not even show up! I would prefer the games have a little competition in them. Anyway....THUNDER UP!

B: fruity pebbles, iced vanilla latte

L: 1/2 turkey pastrami sandwhich, banana, freeze dried snap peas

S: balanced breaks

D: something with chicken but that is TBD

Last night, picked up DH and went to eat. I was trying to find a Schlotsky's Deli (we have those in OK) but when I finally found it, it was a Chipolte. We opted for Perkins instead. I had two eggs, bacon and two pieces of French toast. It was delicious. On the way to the Y for the meeting, I get a call from the doctor and she says, the dematology clinic says to keep doing what you are doing. Well, Yeah, I think that is what I told you. And then she wants to recheck my pitiuitary gland. I hate those MRIs. Anyway. meeting was supposed to start at 6:30...but did int? NO.

I have yet to attend anything in this state where it actually gets started on time. This is very frustrating to me. I guess it is from being in the military, but I am always on time and early! And all these other people who are not, it all seem so disrespectful to me. And then when the facilitor/emcee condones it by saying, let's wait another tive minutes or so. WTH? Let's get it started and over with, I have other things to do. I left with an attitude. The camp sounds really fun and inviting and will keep the girl happy and busy, however, the facility leaves much to be desired. The Y closest to my house was big, new, pristine condition and that camp filled out in 2 days....yes I can see why. The camp by my work, well, NO! Just NO! I apologized to the girl al ready because it is a far cry from the past two years she has been attending Cleveland State camp....maybe next year.

Work was crap today! Obnoxious, belligerant people there, with one who doesn't bathe makes for an I -would -rather-be anywhere-but-here-kinda-day!

yeah, i got some weird coworkers too ;)....

so glad that meeting is over for you. i also do not like to get held up. and yes, you are busy. some people have no respect for anything, yes.

do you cook your brussel sprouts so that they are soft? i hate undercooked ones, they are so bitter. there's a place i go when i want them already cooked, but this one place i'm thinking of in paritular always undercooks them...i may tell them next time that they'd be so tasty if they were SOFT, not HARD.

Intentions...well you know!

DH and I got home with plans to finish the lawn, but somehow we didn't. We baked a spaghetti squash, grilled it with garlic and parmasean and tossed some grilled chicken in with it. It turned out very tasty, if a bit too garlicky.

I did take Steve for his nightly walk, back did much better, started hurting on the back stretch instead of the front. Maybe tonight I can make it the entire way before it starts.

Tonight we are going to the camp meeting for the girl. She only goes for 2 1/2 weeks, but still we must attend this meeting. I read the handbook, so besides picked up some extra camp shirts, not sure what benefit it would be. Oh it is at the Y...should have brought some work out clothes...duh.

because of the meeting will decided to eat out somewhere, not sure where yet. I don't even know what I want.

And as always, Tuesday is the longest day of the week.

FRIDAY!

Enchiladas were just oK, they were lacking something. DH warmed them in the oven, but they were still cold so he nuked them and everything was then soggy. He took the rest of them for lunch on Saturday.

SATURDAY!

Came and went, with no bells or whistles.

B: blueberry bagel with cream cheese

D: I threw some tough steak in the crock pot for Korean BBQ. I was going to put the brocolli in there too, but it was bad. So we had carrots, beef and rice. Watched the cavs go down.

SUNDAY.

DH and i went shopping, always and adventure. I hate it and DH wants to go down every aisle. He will walk through Sams and Wal-mart but won't go on a hike with me, sometimes, i don't know about this guy! He said his knee still isn't up to par, yes, I know but somehow we survive the grocery shopping. It was very good without the little girl, sometimes I DO NOT miss her.

I laundered and DH mowed (we are supposed to finish the mowing tonight).

B: Cheese danish

L: nasty wal-mart pizza - that did not agree with my stomach

D: steak, salad, brussel sprouts

Thunder...quite impressive! hope it lasts.

Looking forward to this three-day weekend, just need to get through the week.

Thursday oh Thursday. If I could tell people I work with exactly what I think I would be in big trouble! Stupid lady in Long Island if I had to personally see her yesterday I would have hit her in the mouth...old or not! There is no excuse to talk to people in a patronizing and condescending way no matter who/where you work for. I'll just say, bless your heart! But really if you hate your job that much...think about retiring! Awful old heifer! I was pissed the entire day.

And it just went down hill from there. DH put chicken in the crock pot to make chicken enchiladas for dinner, but that didn't work other either. After we picked up the girl, she informs us she wants to go to a skating party and she needs to be there at 6:15, yeah ok it is 5:45 all ready so we grab McDonald's and taker her to the skating rink. She has been wearing a jacket in all types of weather, I think she is self conscience of her blooming womanhood...however, her mother doesn't make or doesn't buy her a bra. I had gave her three sports bras to wear last summer, but I'm thinking they are too small now. She refuses to talk while DH is around so maybe I will talk to her next weekend.

Anyway, why the girl was skating, DH and I took Steve to the Lakeview Park and peoplewatched and walked the beach until it was time to pick her up. When we picked her up she was red as a beet and dripping with sweat. She also said she needed to be home by 9:00 or she would 'get into trouble' and she is only allowed to take showers every other day at her mom's house - and this wasn't the day, and she wanted to take a shower. No she stank, she needed to take a shower! We drive all the way home to get her showered and then DH takes her home...it was after 9:00. DH did text the mom and told her....The girl stinks, she is taking a shower, will bring her home after. The mom replies...that is fine! What a crock of sh!t this person is, some shouldn't have kids.

Dinner was a quarter pounder with cheese and a hand full of fries - ending the day with 1924 - I did walk for over an hour so I know I burned some of those off.

I am so glad it is Friday, work was ok today and my enchiladas are calling my name. DH put them together last night so all we have to do is heat them up.

L: 1/2 roast beef sandwich, swiss cheese, banana, freeze dried snap peas

No real plans for this weekend, a few hikes are happening we may go. NBA playoffs - definately! THUNDER UP! - and go cavs!

I am from LI. I think that lots of people here do make a big stink about things and are extra RUDE. i can totally imagine the woman on the phone with you!

that's some great walking. I'm trying to walk more & more also! :) not all the time yet, but little by little i'm getting it in. it's so good for you - and def helps burn calories and fat!

Enchiladas sound great! I think i need more mexican in my life! :)...rather, it's not mexican i need more of...its MEAT. I must start making my own meat...cooking it at home...ground turkey comes to mind or even a mix of turkey and meat? i need more meat....! lol, reading this makes me think about meat.

if you hike, enjoy. i'm antsy to start getting more active. last night i wore heals, so i'm taking it easy today. my ankle is still agrivated easily by the heals, but it was fun to wear them...give & take.

Wow! That moment when you realize you want to lose weight and recognize you aren't doing anything to accomplish doing so. That is me right now.

After work Tuesday I picked up the little girl and our initial plans were to eat before going to Cleveland, but after learning both the Cavs and Indians were playing at home we opted to leave early and just find somewhere to eat downtown. I was stressing out, as I hate driving in traffic and I hate scrambling for a parking place.

I fret for no reason. We got downtown with only minor difficulty and this from road construction, not traffic. Found a great place to park and then we opted to eat at a Germany restaurant. We all had some time of schnitzel. It was just ok, I have had better. We lingered at the restaurant and then walked to the theater - or I should say hobbled. DH is still in knee pain and I my back is stupid. The play was terrific! It was long and we didn't get out of there until 10:30. We hobbled back to the car and got the girl  home by 11:15 pm. She had a field day at school on Wednesday, so she wouldn't be too tired to learn.

Wednesday I had scheduled the day off from work, because I didn't want to even try to pretend I wanted to be there after not getting to sleep until almost midnight. I did have to sit in on a conference call and the refrigerator man came to fix the refrigerator again. It works....for now.

L: peanut butter sandwich

D: Jimmy John's turkey sandwich - dessert I had a piece of chocolate/peanut butter creamy pudding pie goodness calories 1840

Stayed up late watching the Thunder, not show up for the second half of their game....oh well.

Tonight after getting the girl she wanted to go to a skate party...I will stay home.

On the way home from the doctor appointment stopped and got gyros for dinner. Ended the day with 1872.

The refrigerator is still not cooling, repairman is supposed to come again tomorrow, I scheduled this day off back in March because tonight we are going into Cleveland to see Matilda the play. Unbeknownst at the time there is also an Indians game and also a Cavalier game, so parking is going to SUCK! I bought the tickets for the little girl so between traffic and parkins I hope she enjoys it. We probably won't get home until close to midnight.

Our original plans were to let her stay the night with us and because I don't have to go to work I would take her to school in the morning, but the mother has a different philosphy. Seems that since the little girl got her period, she needs to stay home where her pads are. What the hell ever lady! No, no, we don't have pads at my house...PULEEEASE! Well while she's there I hope you enforce how to wipe, since she is still working on that! OMG the entire situation really gets me down sometimes.

Last night DH and I went to wal-mart to pick up lunch things and he wants to start a scene...OK I'll play.

DH: Do you want a donut?

Me: when?

DH: I don't know when you want it.

Me. No, I mean when right this minute or for breakfast?

DH: I don't want one, do you?

Me. When?

DH: I don't want one.

Me. Do you not understand what I'm asking you? When do I want a donut right this minute or for breakfast?

DH: I don't know when you want it.

OMG this goes on forever and gets louder and louder, I just walk away. Our communication skills are lacking. No donuts though, so WIN!

Stayed up way to late watching the Thunder, sleep was as good as it could be. I was up at 1:43 because DH was making obscene noises and little Steve was jingling his collar so the dog and I went downstairs. DH came down a little later, we slept on the couch for about an hour and then I went back to bed.

Dinner is out somewhere on the way to Cleveland. Though I really don't care go cavs! I guess.

Well...just so you know...you are going to have to teach little girl EVERYTHING. I wouldn't rely on her mom to teach her how to deal with this growing up stuff. It's important that you do it...and that you make sure she doesn't miss school for it...she needs to be able to learn how to deal with it..how old is she though? if she's not 12, i can understand missing school for the first 1-2x, but after that, she needs to go to school basically...

help this girl out so that she knows what to do. Just be good to her & all will be ok. I'm sure it's a really difficult time for her.

Also, Matilda! i would love to see it myself! :)

Crazy weekend! Two things I have noticed, I do not write in the journal on the weekend, I stopped thinking I needed to concentrate on the fam, but this isn't helping me and they don't appreciate it. And then I quit logging my calories, why...can't say for sure but this will start again.

Friday we pick up the little girl and what? OMG I can't remember.We pick up the chipolte burrito bowls I ordered online and then ate around the table. It was OK, we didn't do anything afterwards, DH sat in his recliner, the little girl sat on the chaise and I sat. We watched the Amazing Race...I think, or I did. We were waiting on Grimm to come on - DH feel asleep and the little girl was watching you tube videos.

Saturday: 

Sleep was good. DH was up at 6:00 to go to work. The weather was awful: cold, rainy. I was up at 7:30, little girl close after. We had bagles and cream cheese. Our first hike at 9:00 was canceled due to the weather. We sat around in our PJs until about 10:30 when we went out to a book sale. Received a text from DH that he couldn't leave to get something to eat so the little girl and I drove over an hour and took him Taco Bell it was about 2:00 when we finally gave him his lunch. We had another hike at 2:30, but again right about 2:00 I receive a text that the hike is canceled due to the rain - but the nature center was open. We just go back home. I noticed the refrigerator is acting up again. The refrigerator part this time, not the freezer. Nothing is cold.

Find out that the chipolte I ordered on line wasn't charged to my card. I asked DH if they charged him when he picked it up...he said NO, they told him it was already paid for....it wasn't. I never paid for it, neither did he. I was going to make spaghetti for dinner but DH picked up subway on his way home from work. Again...no plans it was a chill at home weekend. The little girl was content, sitting around.

Sunday: Was up at 4:30 with my dog and stayed up. DH was up and around at 7:30. We had a hike at 9:00 but it is May and you can always expect SNOW in May. Whaever Ohio! It was wet and cold so we opted not to go, didn't see if it was canceled. Our Pedal and Paddle fest was canceled though and we didn't attempt to go to the car show, because...Cold! so much for plans.

I moved around the house, dusted, cleaned, laundered. DH actually snow it snow for about 10 minutes, looked like sleet to me. He started dinner at 3:00, I helped the little girl with her homework and got her ready to go back to her mothers.We did have a brie, apple ravioli with carmel sauce for dessert. Refrigerator still not keeping anything cold, just a little chill if that. DH called the repairman again.

This morning while getting ready for work, I was in the master bathroom, so DH went to the hallway, he found a pair of panties with blood stains. The little girl used that bathroom all weekend, so we are thinking she started her period. DH texted the exwife this morning and she said the little girl said she didn't, so who knows. Not sure what their relationship is, so I hope she isn't freaking out or scared to talk to someone. I will ask her Tuesday.

Dermatology appointment today - true to form, my face does not betray!

Busy week this week.

B: bagel with butter, iced vanilla latte with 1% (which is gross)

L: left over spaghetti, gold fish

S: nature valley, sweet salty bar

I will calculate these calories after dinner. have a great evening.

so you had a nice, busy weekend keeping you off here....that's ok :)...

busy helps me usually calorie-wise...when i have plans, i'm better at keeping calories down many times than if i were home for the day with temptations around me.

i would die if i had to deal with your little girl's issues lol....i am SO not a mother ;) or parental guardian. i still need one or would like one from time to time hahahaha...or at least i'll take an older guy to date...like 10yrs older is perfecto!
