Wow I am having issues! BIGGEST I have ever been. My body hurts. I can't tie my shoes, I can't clip my toe nails. So depressing. If there was a day I didn't wake up and think about losing weight it would be a glorious day! I think I'm homesick. I miss my mom and Oklahoma. I'm happy I got to see my son over Christmas, not sure if I like his wife or not, I guess all mothers feel that way about daughters-in-law at first.

cybermom4 on 12/30/2015:
Stay strong!! soon it will be a new day !

Horn_Of_Plenty on 12/30/2015:
Welcome! You are going to be ok. Actually, welcome back!

This is not an easy time of year with the holidays and everyone rushing around and still sometimes going to work like me without any days off. It's not easy for many. So if you are feeling extra run-down or upset, it could be because of everything going on. Maybe you are very busy, way busier than you'd like to be.

but soon it'll be January, and you can get into a new mindset even now. Now that the major holiday of Christmas (if you celebrate) is over. I actually don't celebrate Christmas, but all my coworkers who do seem very run-down right now. Many are sick. Basically the whole area of folks that I work with. I think it may have passed by me this time around, thankfully. I hope to get a little extra rest this weekend so I can stay healthy...

...but this is about you. try to think in the positive. Why don't you like his wife?

Innerpeace on 01/01/2016:
I like my son's wife ok, she's a loner. She spent a lot of time up in the bedroom by herself. She took pictures of everything, even the food. That kind of bothered me. She is a nice girl, smart, pretty, she is fine. I'm just too picky I guess.

One step forward - two steps back. Things happen, so you sometimes just have to go with it! The end of June I had my yearly mammogram scheduled and that just turned into ugly things. After tests and more tests and two biopies over a months time, I DO NOT have cancer. It was so nice of those three doctors to keep looking. During this time motivation to do any physical activity and/or eat healthy went by the wayside.

DH, the little girl and I did finish the walking stick program and picked up our walking sticks last weekend. So we did accomplish that! Our C25K was halted at week six, so we will have to start all over - what a sucky deal, I lost over $50 on the registration for our race that happened as scheduled without us. Because, just because....we are lazy. If you know something is helping and good for you, how could it still be so easy to quit? After all the breast drama I didn't even want to wear a bra for a while, must less run.

DH accepted another position at the beginning of July as a supervisor and he brings all kind of work/drama crap home because he/they can't find employees who want to work. He has no vacation now, but they still let him go on a planned vacation we had the last week of July...with  no pay though. He has to finish probation before he will accrue any vacation, about 80 days to go now.

I also accepted a different position and am just waiting on my background check to get a start date. I will be going back to The National Weather Service. I worked there in Norman, Oklahoma before moving to Ohio. I was very lucky to get on hre in Cleveland. It will be a very emotional day whenever I tell my boss, I have come to really like her. I like this job too, but they do not count my military time...the NWS does and I will accrue more vacation time, more pay, more benefits and it is half the distance from the house.

We had the little girl four weeks this summer, she went to camp here at school for three weeks and was with us for our vacation to West Virginia. We fought lice for the last two weeks she was with us...so now they are saying there is 'super lice' I'm sure this girl has it. Yesterday she started school, without lice, I'm wondering how long it will be before she gets it?

So...I start again tomorrow! A word of advice, no matter how tough life is never, never stop journaling. Still I search for Inner Peace!

Progress as of today: 10.7 lbs lost so far, only 7.2 lbs to go!

Wow! Lots of going on. But you're not giving up and that's all you can do. Good luck.

You have had a lot to deal with! Hope that life smooths out for you.

Umpqua on 08/20/2015:
Welcome back IP and I'm glad things worked out well for you on the health front. Congratulations on the new jobs, very exciting!

Been absent for a couple of days, also behind two runs on my c25k program, just because life sometimes sucks!

Weekend failures

Friday: we had pizza for dinner

Saturday: The little girl and I tried to do our hike, but it was rained out ergo we have McDonalds for breakfast! We hit bunches of garage sales until DH got off work. We then went to a Strawberry festival and no strawberries were had, I opted for a gyro instead, not the healthiest choice. That evening our boat didn't show up for the scheduled sunset cruise, so we went to the movie Jurassic World and pigged out on popcorn.

Sunday it was raining all day so DH and I didn't go on the run. It wasn't raining at 10 so we did go for a hike and then it rained on us half way through it, the mosquitos were sure out in droves. After the hike DH said he wanted to eat breakfast out, so I had two eggs, bacon and two pancakes. So, not thinking about losing weight this weekend. In the afternoon we drove to Akron to watch Shrek the Musical. Loved the musical, loved Akron. We ate at a bicycle bar called Gasoline Alley and I had a crab salad sanwich with alvocado and cream cheese, it was OK and I felt guilty afterwards.

Not to go without drame. The little girl's mother is pissed because DH didn't tell her we were bringing the little girl home late on Sunday so now our hiking stick program is in jeopardy because to make up the hike we missed on Saturday we will have to keep her longer on another day. She said, you are always messing up our plans, you aren't going to do this anymore...she is just a mean, mean woman. I emailed her and told her i wasn't aware of her plans and we weren't being late to be vindictive it was for the benefit of Kayla. I also told her I thought both her and my DH should think about being more flexible if its for the benefit of the little girl. She didn't answer back, so not sure what will happen with our last hike...awful heifer!

Then someone broke into my DH's truck and rifled through everything, took cell phone charger and tom tom. They used the garage door opener (and took it) but took the keys out of my car before the next door neighbor yelled at them and they ran out, taking the remote and keys. DH spent most of the night changing door locks.

Work is crazy, June is the end of our FY and we are trying to spend moeny before we lose it and I had to work late the last two evenings...ergo pissed Tuesday run...and my CAVS lost.

Here's to a new and better days.

B: bagel with cream cheese

L: turker burger, watermelon

S: 1/2 peanut butter sanwich

I have no clue what's for dinner. I am going to the thrift store to look for costumes for little girl's camp next week. YAY Fun!

Progress as of today: 10.7 lbs lost so far, only 7.2 lbs to go!

ohioraven on 06/17/2015:
Sorry bout the Cavs. Brownies will be putting on pads soon.

Umpqua on 06/18/2015:
My husband works for ESPN and had to work at 3:30 a.m. yesterday on something because the Cavs lost. I feel your pain! Sorry to hear about the break-in and all the drama, I hope the week is going better for you now.

hollybelle on 06/19/2015:
A lot going on with you! I say stay calm and breathe.....otherwise I overeat - LOL! Life happens. Hang in there.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 06/22/2015:
I also had a bagel with cream cheese yesterday for out father's day lunch. It was a late lunch, with salad, bagels, lox, whitefish, and sable. (typical types of food you will find in NYC!)

I didn't come to work yesterday, I was sick! OK so I wasn't really sick, brain tired i guess. I mowed the grass and for that good deed received four blisters on my hands, even wearing gloves!

DH had another job interview and was home later than usual. We had sandwiches from Jimmy Johns.

DH and I were up at the butt crack of dawn doing week 6 day 1 of the c25k, suprisingly I didn't have too much trouble. 10 run 5 walk 10 run, it was very sticky this morning though. I do believe that the 5 minute walk time really makes it hard to get started again. This is the last week for walk rests I know I will miss them once they are gone.

We have a crazy schedule this weekend, lots to see and do.

2 Hikes, strawberry festival, boat ride and Shrek the musical, and somewhere in there I'm to find time for laundry.

GO CAVS!

Have a great weekend!

DH grilled the black bean burgers, I sliced up the avocados, pretty tasty dinner.

What is it that when you get home you just want to stay there? Did not leave the house again. BLAH

DH received the text from the exwife, she said the doctor's office was closed. WTF? I knew she wouldn't get the little girl to the doctor's office. The appointment was rescheduled for tomorrow at 3:15, maybe this time.

DH has a job interview after work so he will be late getting the little girl. We had a bead craft tonight at the library but I canceled not knowing what time they will be getting home.

B: blueberry muffin

S: 1 oz of cheese, 15 almonds

L: left over black bean burger

I have no idea what I will tackle for dinner.

Tommorw we Run!!

I'm glad the CAVs are winning, but OMG, it makes for a late night, so sleepy today + the rain YAWN!

Have a great evening! IP

C25K week 5 day 3....DID IT!! Felt really good  this morning, I must face the fact, we run slow!! We are old and fat, we don't quit though. We run like a pack of turtles. DH still says he runs better in the evening. I just can't see how, again I know it is all mental, but I worked all day, running is the last thing I want to do after work. Watercize was scheduled for this evening, but...it is too cold to get in an outdoor pool, I think summer has completely forgotten about NE Ohio.

After my craft class which was repurposing tape rolls into cool bangles/bracelets we ate out. I had a chicken, ranch wrap and a cup of chicken noodle soup. I did take Steve for a walk, he enjoyed it.

B: nasty strawberry granola (will not eat this again - DH suggested we make it with marshallow (like the rice crispy treat) it would probably taste better. So I drank my last iced coffee. I love it so!

L: turkey bacon sandwich, pinapple

S: 1/2 peanut butter sandwich

D: black bean burger with alvacado

The little girl has a doctor's appointment tonight, the jury is still out on whether or not the little girl's mother actually takes her. DH says she will. I say she will come up with an excuse and will call DH twenty minutes before appointment time and ask him to take her!

I will walk Steve...I will do things! have a great night...<GO CAVS>

weekend completely sucked!

Friday DH and I went to do Week 5 day 2 of c25k, complete bust! I could not breathe this night. I felt rushed and my legs weighed a ton. Not sure if it was because we were not in our usual place or just because I needed an excuse, I can't say. All I know is I couldn't breathe after the first running interval so I walked back. DH finished. I was so proud of him. I did get up Saturday morning and ran in the neighborhood. I was happy to finish, again the last five minute interval kicks my butt. I'm wondering if not stopping would be helpful.

DH and I also went on the 3rd hike in the hiking stick program at Millow Hollow. It was OK, we mainly took a hike in the parking lots, the naturalist said because all the shelters were rented out for graduation and wedding parties so she didn't want to walk through the park...SO? The renters should know other events take place in the park.

Sunday,. DH and I were going to do the week 5 day 3 but got into an argument over the dog, because Steve snapped at him when he went to pick him up. DH said he was gonig to put my dog to sleep, this in turn irriatated me and it just escalated out of hand. I love that dog, well then even more than DH. DH stayed and Steve and I went for a walk to cool off. We never did go on the run.

Plan is to go tonight, if not first thing int he morning. I told him we can't quit now, we're more than half way through.

Friday night we did have grilled vegetables - zuccini, squash and eggplant - very tasty on the grill

S: lfe cereal

Saturday: DH and I went out for breakfast, I had two eggs and bacon and one biscuit with gravy

D: chicken sausage with feta and spinach, chips

Sunday

didn't eat breakfast, after the blow out - iced coffee

L: left over sausage dogs

D: teriaki chicken, kale salad

It has been raining all afternoon and I have a craft class from 5-6:30 - DH and I are supposed to go on the run after the class, weather depending!

B: life cereal

L: teriaki chicken wrap with salad, pineapple

S: 1/2 peanut butter sandwich

working on drinking more water this week

This Monday wasn't so bad, hope the rest of the week is just as not bad! GO CAVS!

Progress as of today: 10.7 lbs lost so far, only 7.2 lbs to go!

liza36 on 06/09/2015:
Week 5 of C25K was where I stopped, and did not get back to it. If I remember, it has long running intervals. Keep it up - I'm so impressed with you!!

thanks!

DH and I got home from the Taylor Swift concert well past midnight. I was making jokes of how we used to drink all night and then go to work like it was nothing. How times have changed. I did get up and go to work, DH did not, he stayed home complaining his head hurt.

I left at lunch time. We did some garage sales and then went to a Chinese food buffett, not sure why, oh yes, because it is delish! I had four kinds of chicken, these are spoonfuls not servings. General Tso, seasame, chicken & broccoli and peanut chicken, I had some low mein with noodles and one bowl of egg drop soup. Not too bad, I could have ate more vegetables...and I had no dessert. Feet swelled up again, no thanks to the salt.

Because we are old and fat we did not get up to do the week 5 day 2 c25k day. This is planned for the evening after work. I do feel so guilty about it, I hate to get behind on my plans. It will be done. We decided to go to the nature reserve where our last night hike was, hopefully it won't be horrible hot.

No little girl this weekend. I have plans to go to good ole Parma and do another volks march, without the dog!! And then DH and I have another hiking stick hike in Vermillion. I am going to wear my fit bit again, I just forget to put it back on after charging! Next Friday I am going to register DH and I for our first 5K -

Smiles for Sophie Forever 8th Annual Birthday Bash & Dash 5K & 1.5 Mile Run/Walk on July 4th in Avon, Ohio.

I am looking forward to this race, I want to see how the hard work for the last weeks have paid off.

B: two pieces of multi grain toast

S: 1 oz cheese, craisins, 15 almonds

L: peanut butter on multi grain bread

S: pineapple

D: scheduled grilled vegetables - eggplant, squash and zuccini, cabbage

On a good note, Steve went into his crate all by himself this morning...so excited about that...I always know he just hates it, but if he went in there on his own, I guess it couldn't be so bad.

Have a good evening, Happy Friday....GO CAVS!!

Night hike was fantastic, I thought it would never end. It ended up being almost 3 miles, but it sure seemed longer. I guess the stopping and going and looking. Two down, four more to go.

D: teriaki chicken, salad

S: yogurt covered raisens.

DH and the little girl have tickets to see Taylor Swift tonight. I wish DH would get the courage to drive downtown, I don't mind dropping them off but I didn't want to wait around for them, it is a 35 minute drive back home. I might sit in my office, or go to the casino. I haven't decided yet. I might just bring the dog and go to a dog park for a while.

B: two pieces of wheat toast.

L: I walked 1.5 miles (round trip) to go to a Walnut Wendesday downtown Cleveland food truck day. It is every Wednesday until fall. I opted for a pulled pork sandwich, just because it was the shortest line. I did see a Korean BBQ I might try in the future. The walk down there kicked my butt for some reason. I was sweating like a rode hard horse, not like my night hike at all!!

No idea what dinner will be, I will choose the lighter side.

Have a great night!

Wow so had a busy weekend. DH was off so we started out with a farmer's market, not so much farmer as it was a market. We went for lunch I guess. DH had a hotdog and we shared a 3 rib sampler. This was the most tender rib I have ever eaten. The weather was not cooperating so we went back home to dodge the thunderstorm rolling through. Luckily it stopped, we had our first hike for our hiking stick program to go on. We drove to the site and there was no one there. A park ranger stopped by and asked if we went on a walk, we said we were waiting for it to begin. We finally deduced we were at the wrong park. We needed to be half mile further down the road. Sure enough when we arrived there was a line of people getting their forms signed off on.

We went on an 1 1/2 hike, through a forest, it was quite pleasnt although very sticky. The little girl did great, not one complaint the entire time. She did get hot, as both DH and I did too. We got back to the car and drank water, which we should have taken with us, We then took off to go back to the Shoe Carnival to get the little girl her new pair of shoes, she missed out on the week prior. We again ate at Chilpoltle, I got a chicken bowl and my calories for the bowl was 582. We headed home to go to our Lake Erie Crusher game, but alas it was rained out so we instead went to see Tomorrowland, which is a spectacular movie. I would recommend this to all.

Sunday, DH and I got up and finished the week 4 day 3 for the second time of the c25k. It was relatively easier. The little girl came along, she didn't run it all, but she did walk it. I stayed home and did the laundry while those two went shopping...big mistake, we forget it was the first/last of the month. We do have a weekness for fast food breakfast, DH went and got us a biscuit from McDonald's...biscuit with egg - no cheese or bacon.

Monday -

B: granola cereal with strawberries - 1% milk

S: raisens

L: turkey bacon wrap with salad

S: honey mustard pretzels

D: black bean burger (in a wrap) salad

Tuesday

DH and I finally did week 5 day 1 of the c25k - I finished - I made it through the first 5 minutes and did the next 6 minute, it is the last 5 minutes that kicked by butt! But am so happy we finally made it past week 4, which we did twice.

Tonight we have our second hike scheduled it is a night hike which I am really looking forward too, we even have the little girl who we will take home after. I think the hike is from 8:30-10:00.

B: life cereal with 1% milk

S: raisens

L: black bean burger wrap with salad

No idea what is for dinner.

Have a great evening! IP

Good calories on the bowl. I definitely have Tomorrow land on my radar. I like the time travel stuff.
