PISSED.

I slept over today, I couldn't make it to the tennis class. I woke up at 8 AM, precisely the time when tennis starts.... But I needed it, as it seems. It never happened before!

Today's menu:

08h30 - low-fat milk with cereals

11h30 - a pear

12h45 - a bit of rice with broccoli and mushrooms

17h00 - an apple with a yogurt

21h00 - veggie soup

Progress as of today: 33.6 lbs lost so far, only 62.5 lbs to go!

hollybelle on 03/30/2010:
Darn, I hate it when that happens! Just get out there and walk, if you can't do tennis - you'll get there next time and today won't be a total loss on exercise if you do something. Don't be too hard on yourself!

nosetwitch on 03/30/2010:
I think it's great that you are actually involved in a sport! If I get a 15-minute walk in the day, I am proud of myself. So good for you for getting active! I need to start doing the same.

Hello!

This working week is shorter, as Friday is a holiday... This is good news. Bad news is: rain rain rain. Horrible!

Today's menu: today I'm going to have a water day, to clean up my body. I've been abusing on pomelo, and I shouldn't have. Imagine, 100 grs of pomelo gives 100% of Vitamin C, recommended dose. And lately I've been consuming like 300 grs daily, or more... as I never count them as bad calories. I still agree, I hope you saw the link I shared yesterday - pomelo is a very healthy fruit and has low calorie value...

Anyway, water and tea day today!

Have a nice week to all!

21h00 - veggie soup

Hope you have a nice day of cleansing =)

Good morning!

I have a very cool weekend. My Man's sick so I must not get in the way now, he has  terrible manners... Instead, I watched anime online yesterday all day... and will continue today, hopefully...

Today's menu:

07h00 - low-fat milk with coffee substitute

10h30 - a tangerine

13h00 - 2 slices of grilled meat with cooked vegetables and salad (cabbage, tomatoe, onion and cucumber with some olive oil)

14h30 - pomelo (about this fruit's nutrition facts: http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-pummelo-pomelo-i9295?size=2 )

18h00 - pomelo and 4 cookies

20h00 - 2 slices of meat with cucumber

22h00 - a yogurt

Progress as of today: 33.6 lbs lost so far, only 62.5 lbs to go!

nosetwitch on 03/28/2010:
Haha! Actually, I may be overestimating the hamburger. I'm going over to a friend's place and he's grilling them. I just figure he won't get the low-fat beef, so it might have a lot of fat in it. But yeah...that was a total guess. It could be less (I hope it is). Have a great day! Pomelo sounds good!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/28/2010:
lol, that is pretty funny you took me for a guy! hehe, that kinda makes me think it could be a good thing. yeah, i can definitely see how you thought that could have been. my entries can lack emotion for sure haha.

anyways...i hope you have a great day. looks like you ate nice and healthy today.

11h00 - pomelo

15h30 - veggie soup, 2 toasts and some more pomelo and 2 cookies (whole wheat, no sugar, 16kcal each)

20h00 - 2 slices of grilled chicken breast with cucumber, raw and pomelo

21h00 - a yogurt

Here you have a photo, still Mértola (30 November, 2008), one of my favourite towns in inner Portugal.

Hi all! :) Friday, finally...

Today's menu:

07h00 - pomelo + a yogurt

11h00 - some small, thin slices of toasts (whole wt) with light cream cheese and milk with REAL coffee

13h30 - indian restaurant with colleagues: white rice and chicken breast with curry and unfortunatelly had sauce made of cream - but I tried to avoid sauce. Some indian bread.

 17h30 - same as at 11h

 21h00 - veggie soup (a LOT!)

22h00 - a yogurt

I feel extremely fat (as I am, but I feel more!) today. I believe it's partially because of the clothes I wear, do you believe it? I have one of my favourite pair of trousers on, and I have to use a belt because it doesn't fit me anymore (FUN FUN FUN)... and then, I have an extremely big pullover on, which is old and ugly, and I feel fat in it!!! I have the period as well, so I'm rather unreliable as for feelings... and my Man is very sick, he went to the hospital at 6 AM... and then he went to work, CRAZZZZY!!!!

Question: Anyone's doing Pilates?

Ya, lol on me... 'GREEK GODS' yogurt... I didn't take the time to go to the fridge to read it to make sure I had the name right, as I was in a hurry this morning....She knew what I was talking about anyway.... It was good no matter what it's name is...LOL :-)

KathyBlue - Thursday Mar 25, 2010

No tennis today (the courts were wet because of the rain at night) - so I had fitness.
Besides this, I have the period.. that's why I'm filled with negative thoughts about my life then... All is about my Work and how hard I want to change to a better job, one that gives me more quality in life and where I can make the difference and they make me feel motivated... This is why I chose the thought of the day as below.

Today's menu:

07h00 - a cup of low-fat milk with coffee substitute, cinnamon and cereals

10h00 - an apple

12h45 - veggie soup. This time I made it, I share the recipe, four doses:

Green Pea soup (4 doses, 416 kcal/dose)

800 gr green peas
bunch of parsley
3 TBSP of vegetable oil
3 TBSP of whole weat flour

heat the oil, with the peas, then put the parsley, then water it up to the top - and then put the flour carefully mixing.... THIS IS IT!

16h00 - pomelo... Weeeeell, I introduced the pomelo here at work. Everybody loved it. Now they all want to go tomorrow to buy pomelos... :-)

20h00 - veggie soup again, with some grilled meat...

22h00 - a yogurt

Thought of the day:

"Have you ever thought about the power of having a purpose? Everyone needs something that gets them moving in the morning, keeps them going through the day, and makes them continue to work toward a goal. Take some time to think about the activities you are involved in and how they relate to your personal purpose. For the activities that don't serve your purpose, ask yourself why you continue with them. Perhaps you need to reevaluate your commitments and renew your conviction toward your purpose."

That soup sounds yummy =) Sorry to hear that the courts were all wet, hope they dry up quick! Good for you getting an alternate exercise in! Have a nice day =D

Raining AGAIN! We all had the hope that the rainy winter's over but... it still has its force to strike upon us time to time. Hope the sun wins...

Today's menu:

08h00 - a cup of low-fat milk with coffee substitute and some cinnamon, and cereals

11h00 - pomelo

13h00 - veggie soup (yummmmy)

16h00 - yogurt

21h30 - a bit of codfish, grilled... but I didn't like it so I ate 2 slices of toast (120kcal) with a laughing cow cheese low fat and a slice of ham... :-)

Progress as of today: 33.6 lbs lost so far, only 62.5 lbs to go!

panda22 on 03/24/2010:
Sorry to hear about your rain....we had some yesterday and it was miserable. Sending thoughts of sunshine your way and hope you get some soon!

hollybelle on 03/24/2010:
Sorry about the weather! Re: that Phil McGraw quote yesterday - YES! How true. But, I would settle for solving the problems related to weight! Ha-ha!

nita51 on 03/24/2010:

Having a bad week (yes, already...)

Today's menu:

07h00 - toasts (whole wheat bread) with 1 laughing cow cheese + low-fat milk

11h00 - a pear

12h45 - white rice, prawn curry

17h00 - 250 gr yogurts (120 kcal)

20h30 - veggie soup + pomelo + 2 whole weat cookies for the night (16 kcal each)

Reality check:  you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight.  At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems.  You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life.  Losing weight is not a cure for life.  ~Phillip C. Bad weeks, bad days, are only temporary, they don't last long, because we know how to pick ourselves up and keep on marching to the beat. 33.6 lbs,,off your heart, off your joints and out of your life! Come on Sis, don't worry over a bad week,,,we all have them. Just continue doing your best, and God will do the rest. I Love You - Take Care.
