Hope you've had a good day today!

Mine has been busy...paying bills, buying groceries....shopping at the second-hand store...I found Hubby and me 2 shirts each...all for less than $7.00! Something to maybe take with us on our l-o-n-g weekend beach vacation coming up in 2 weeks, Lord willing.

Hubby and I grilled out steaks on the back deck after he came home from work, then after we ate, we decided to work on our new patio set, and put together a large rectangular glass-top table which has 6 chairs and an umbrella that came with it. So, we're glad we've got that completed. Next is yard work...load and haul off limbs that fell during a little wind the other day and haul off an old swing.

Today's Menu:

Brunch: 2 sweet little peanut butter cookies (Nekot), 80, 2 lowfat peanut butter/cheese crackers, 60, 2 bananas, 210.

Lunch: Krispy Kreme honey-glazed donut, 200.

Snack: Dairy Queen 2/3 of a small cone of chocolate ice cream, 100.

Supper: Small piece of grilled-out steak, 250, 1 cup lettuce, 15, 1 tsp. fatfree thousand island dressing, 10, 1/2 cup baked okra, 25, 1/2 cup baked squash, 50.

Today's total: 1000 calories.

Lots of water.

Exercise was a lot of walking.

I need to find me some of this okra.. where do you get it ni the grocey store? Veggie area?.. Maria,

You are doing a great job of exercising and staying at a good calorie count each day. Good for you. The other day you talked about wanting to snack at 11 PM but resisted. That's a great victory. I have the same problem in the evenings. It's where I can do some serious damage if I let myself. You showed some great restraint, good for you!

Hope you are having a TERRIFIC day!

I picked up a friend this morning and she and I went and got some breakfast, then went walking, then grocery shopping. She got us a small honey bun each and I sure couldn't resist mine!!!

Today's Menu:

Brunch: Steak biscuit, app. 400, small honey bun, yummy, 360.

Snack: 1 banana, 105

Supper: 1 large corn on the cob, microwaved and 1 cup baked okra and squash medley, 335 cals.

Today's Total: 1200 calories.

Exercise: 23 laps around a large basketball court and workout with weights.

No, I didn't give in to snacking last nite at 11 pm...but I SURE WANTED TO!!!!

I think I would have been down a little more today had I not had a very high-sodium diet again yesterday, as I did Monday...but, oh well.

I'm going to read entries...remember...Jesus loves ya and so do I!

I'm up one, but I should have expected it...I usually am after I eat a high-sodium hotdog the day before.

Today's menu:

Breakfast: 1 scrambled egg, no oil, 80, 1 multi-grain plain toast, 70.

Lunch: 1 small cheese pizza, 410, and 1 snack-pack of Lance nekot (sweet/peanutbutter) cookies, 240.

Snack: 1 fatfree cheese, 30, 1 multigrain bread, 70. (Sandwich)

Snack: 1 small bag of 100 cal 94% fatfree popcorn, 100.

Supper: Turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, and green peas (tv dinner), 230.

Today's Total: 1230 calories.

11 p.m....I just want to say I AM HUNGRY...but not giving in. If I go into the kitchen and get started, I'll probably eat 1000 calories!!! NOT!

Exercise: Walked 10 laps around basketball court and ran some errands for my Mom.

Congrats to you for not giving in to the HUNGER! Its getting winter here as you might know and its getting more and more difficult to fight the hunger pangs off.

Your food choices sounds so delicious and you seem to keep it under 1500 which is really good, keep it up!

Supper: 1 hotdog (very filling) made with 1 Oscar-Meyer Fatfree weiner, 40, hotdog bun, 100, ketchup, mustard and a little onion, 15. Also, 1 cup baked squash, 50.

Total calories for today: 1100.

You must have been posting when I was here..lol.. anywho.. ok I put my goal weight in.. wow.. can you believe I have gained 200 pounds in 20 years? wow.. It still amazes me how mush I need to loose.. kind of depressing.. when you see it and its not just in your head.. but.. I will get there.. it didnt come over night and it wont go away over night.. I am giving myself at least 2 years to get most of it gone.. I thinks thats ok.. how about you?.. I need dh to take a picture of me now.. before I loose any more.. that way I can post it and then more as I go along.. your hot dog sounds yummy.. hehe..

Today was sunny, very warm, in the 80's (fahrenheit) here in S.C. Woke up early this morning hearing the birds in the trees outside singing sweetly.

I felt good this morning when I decided to see if I could get on a red size 8 pantsuit to wear to church that had been hanging in the closet a long time and it fit well! Even got compliments wearing it at church, hehehe!

Today has been a stress-eat day. Began with a phone call around 2:30am this morning...I won't go into details...just very stressful...followed by another one a few hours later from a different person...who had been stressed out from the same one that had called here, that had called after calling here...Well, I did okay with breakfast...and so-so with buffet dinner...but then this afternoon there was a mandatory meeting (not connected to the phone calls)...and at first I held my resolve to NOT give in to the nuts, chips, and candy at the meeting....but before the meeting was over (about 2 hours), I'd given in to about 300 calories...then tonight....more stress...and I gave in to 'comfort foods'... 680 calories over today's calorie budget of 1700...

Today's Menu:

Breakfast: 1 scrambled egg, 100, 1 plain toast, 70, 1 banana, 105.

Lunch (Golden Corral Buffet): 2 yeast rolls, 380, 3/4 packet honey butter, 45, sweet potato, 140, small corn on cob, 100, most of a piece of cheese pizza, 200, most of a piece of a fried chicken leg, 200, 1 tbs. chocolate icing, 100.

Snack at a Meeting: Chips, nuts, candy: 300.

Supper: Grilled cheese sandwich, 230, 1 banana, 105, 4 mini-snickers candy, 160, and 1& 1/2 cups purple globe grapes, 135.

Today's Total: 2380 calories. Yes, I really did eat all of this...looks like a lot, doesn't it????

Exercise: About an hour or so of playing the piano and about 30 to 45 minutes of walking.

Well...hope you've had a wonderful day today. I had to do an 'update' to my entry for yesterday...I overate by about 500 cals, I think. So, today, I tried to make up for it.

Today's Menu:

Breakfast: 1 banana, 105.

Snack: Small snackpack of Lance peanut butter/cheese crackers, 220.

Lunch (Chick Filet) 8 chicken nuggets, 260, 2/3 packet barbeque sauce, 40, part of a side salad with about 1/3 teaspoon dressing, 60.

Snack: 1 banana, 105, and 1/2 cup purple globe grapes, 45.

Supper: 1 egg sandwich, 240.

Late snack: Small snack-size 94% fatfree lite butter popcorn, 100.

Total calories: 1175

Exercise...Walking at the Farmers Market where I bought some fresh summer squash at 79 cents/pound...Also walking in stores.

Hope you have a good night's rest and wake up and go to the Lord's house tomorrow and worship Him....

Breakfast: 1 scrambled egg, 100, 1 plain toast, 70.

Lunch: 2/3 of a grilled cheese sandwich (fatfree cheese and a little margerine), 175, and 1 pack of peanut M&M's, 250 (Really had that chocolate-crunchy craving, but at least I didn't give in to what I REALLY wanted...a $1.00 box of Whoppers malted milk balls at 665 cals for only about 1 cupful!!!).

Snack: 1 cup watermelon, 50, and 1/2 cup purple globe grapes, 45.

Supper: Buffet Restaurant: Have left 1010 cals for supper tonite.

Update: Think I did 1155 for supper...just had to have a little piece of coconut pie minus the crust.

Late Night Snack: 4 mini Snickers, 160, 1 banana, 105, 1 cup purple globe grapes, 90.

Today's Total: 2300 calories

Exercise: I walked 32 laps about a basketball court. (Whew!) Also, yard work.

and I doo0o0o0o sing in church.. well, should I say I did.. wehavent been in a few months :O(.. but I am tryikng to get dh to go again.. pray for me will ya :O).. I have many religious karaoke cd's// :O).. and my son continues to go every week.. he loves it.. and I am so proud of him :O).. its hubby who isnt into going.. Its because he only has one day a week off and its Sunday.. so0o0o.. help us by keeping this in your prayers ok.. I would love that :O)...

I hope you are having a great day. It is wonderful weather here in South Carolina, USA! Supposed to get into the 70's (fahrenheit) again today and already (10:27am EST) is 65, sunny, and birds happily singing again.

Today's Menu:

Breakfast #1: 1 scrambled egg, 100 cals, 1 plain toast, 70 cals, 1 banana, 105 cals.

Breakfast #2: 1 Grilled cheese sandwich with fatfree cheese fried in low cal margerine, 235 cals.

Lunch: 1 banana, 105 cals, roasted chicken, 150 cals, 1 cup red grapes, 90 cals, 1 cookie (tollhouse choc-chip/pecan), 190 cals.

Supper: Roasted chicken, 150 cals, 1 microwaved corn on the cob, only salt added, 100 cals, 1 banana, 105 cals, 2 bread, 140 cals, 6 french-fried potatoes, 50 cals.

Today's Total: 1590 calories. Exercise: Yard work.

It was really nice here today.. Hope you're all having a wonderful day!

My Mom and I traveled upstate today and we visited some kinfolks. It was a real sweet visit. We hadn't seen them in a good while!

It is sunny and warm, here in S.C. (70's fahrenheit), the birds are singing harmoniously in the trees, and I am sitting on the lounge chair on the back deck keying this, contemplating grilling out some chicken for supper.

Tonight, we also have church, after suppertime.

Today's menu:

Breakfast: 2 bananas, 210, 1 scrambled egg, 100, 1 plain toast, 70.

Lunch: Bag of potato chips, 200.

Snack: Hardee's Apple Turnover, 270, 1 cup red grapes, 90, a very few (8 or 9?) boiled peanuts, 60.

Supper: 1 cup okra, 50, and one small roasted chicken leg, 150.

Lots of water and not as much exercise today.

Total calories for today: 1200 calories.

I almost gave in to some chocolate malted milk balls at the grocery store...it was a small bag and only looked like maybe a cup-full...but according to the calories on the back of the bag, it was 540 calories! So I put them back and came home and had grapes instead.

hey I have something for you to try.. the gal who toldme about this didnt give any measurments..lol.. but..she said to take whipping cream.. cocoa... vanille extract and some splenda.. mix it up and she says it taste like chocoloate icecream.. Hya,

It sounds really peaceful, sitting on a lounge chair on your back deck......where are you from again, is sit Southern California or Sacramento? We lived in Newport Beach/Irvine when we were there and i loved it, also great weather....

About the cheese, it was good old fashioned mozarella. Yea, i know cheese is sometimes the forbidden apple, but its soooo nice to treat oneself to a nice grilled cheese sandwich once in a while, it does good for the soul, if you know what i mean.

Lunch at Chick Filet: 8 chicken nuggets, 260 cals, 1 small slaw, 260 cals, 1/2 honey barbeque dressing cup, 30 cals.

Snack at TCBY: One cone of 94% fatfree chocolate yogurt (tastes like ice cream), 130 cals

Supper: 1 cup baked okra, 50 cals and 1 cup baked squash, 50 cals, 1 tbsp ketchup, 20 cals, and 3 baked fish sticks, 105 cals.

Snack: 1 lowfat small bag of buttered popcorn, 100 cals, and 1 cup canteloupe, 45 cals.

Total calories for today: 1200 calories.

Hours of walking and LOTS of water!

Let me know what you think of the name of the diet at the top, hehehe!

food choices look good hun.. :O).. Oh I dont get to ghet on here till at least after 6:30 most days.. after dinner is all over.. some nights even later.. depending on school activities.. or home work.. or if I just go shopping.. but I will always try to get here before my days over.. :O)..

oh and that chocolate yogert.. yummy.. I have had that before.. and it DOES taste like icecream.. :O)..

I like that title! I try to eat, lose, and maintain weight according to that concept of having cake and eating it too, also. I got the popcorn bug that's infecting quite a few people on the DD's as well. good luck!

Hya there Maria!

Yes i certainly did not mean to offend you in ANY what whatsoever! There is absolutely nothing wrong with being an Admin Assistant, the only reason why i feel this way about it personally, is that i have a HR Management Degree and cannot seem to get anything else than an Admin job here in SA. And so does a lot of other people i know as well, except if you went into the Technical or Medical fields. I guess im just frustrated, i mean i am furthering my studies to a Honors in Industrial and Org Psychology, but what if i can get nothing else when i finish it! What is the use of studying then in the first place, oh well, guess im just having a kind of quarter life crises!

Bottom line, no offense given to you:) Its almost the same as the other day, i think it was Geevee that mentioned: " Who on earth can have sardines for dinner" when her overseas visitor brought it home. And guess what, i have sardines for dinner every Monday hehehhehe. I didnt say anything, felt a bit offended, but then realized people are different and have different likes, dislikes and opinions, so that makes life so much more interesting and uniqie of an experience!
