John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Merry Christmas to you! Remember the reason for the season! God loves you so much He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to take your place on the cross and give His life for yours, so that when you repent (or repented) of your sins and ask His forgiveness and believe in and live for Him, you have eternal life. This is God's gift to you...salvation through His precious Son, Jesus Christ.

I hope you and yours have a very happy, safe, blessed Christmas. There's no greater blessing than to be a Christian, knowing that you belong to Jesus Christ.

If you are not a Christian, I hope you become one today.

Love, Maria (smile!) Remember...Jesus loves ya and so do I!

Hello everybody!!! Long time, no write...but I come here occassionally (sp?) and read. Hope you're all doing okay.

I've gained a little from where I was, but I'm doing well. I'm not focused on a certain number or size. Just focused on the Lord! (Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour.)

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas!

Love, Maria...remember....Jesus loves ya and so do I! (smile!)

Hi Maria, it's nice to hear from you, even if only on occasion. There are so many others from this board who have disappeared and I always wonder how things are going for them. You sound happy and that's what is most important. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well! It is warm here in S.C....about 98 degrees fahrenheit and it is a sunny, humid day.

Today is my birthday. (Shu-u-u-u-u!) I thank the Lord for another day, and another year. I thank the Lord that I am a born-again Christian. The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ...there is no other way! Some people may think they can make it on their own merits, their own good works, but it isn't so! We all need the Lord in our lives. Without Him, there is no life. He is our Creator.

So, how have you all been doing? I still come here from time to time and read.

How's your weather where you're at?

Well, have a great day (and if you are saved, if you have Jesus for your Lord and Saviour, it is!) and remember....Jesus loves ya and so do I!

Love, Maria (smile!)

Hi Maria, I haven't seen you around here in a while, welcome back. And Happy Birthday! I'm in the Northeast and it's been HOT and humid up here for weeks now. Today it was in the low 90s, but I guess that's mild for you folks down south ;) I hope you're enjoying your special day!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Hello to you! I know, long time, no write... Hope you're all doing well! I've been focusing more on good health and less on scale numbers.

I'm up a little in weight and size but I'm feeling much better.

We've been having gorgeous weather here in the south...mostly sunny and warm with the exception of today which was rainy but still warm. We are averaging in the 80's now. I love to get up and hear the birds happily singing their beautiful melodic songs outside in the trees. I'm glad there are lots of trees around here...elsewise, where would they perch as they sing their lovely tunes each morning?

We have lots of squirrels that love to run and play. They sometimes come up on the front porch or the back deck and just sit staring at you until you get them a piece of bread or something to eat but we don't feed them often so they'll stay independant and keep up their foraging (digging and hunting for their foods).

I've been keeping up with exercise, going to the gym regularly (I earned and won a special tee shirt for walking 50 miles in 3 months) and working out with weights.

Hubby and I haven't been grilling outside much as we used to do but I like to lay in the lougechair on the back deck and soak up sunshine some afternoons when it's not hot but just nice and warm and sunny.

Hubby and I are still teaching an adult Sunday School class together at our church and I'm still playing the piano and singing in church also.

Well, think I'll go read some entries...take care and remember...Jesus loves ya and so do I!

Love, Maria (smile!)

It sounds like you're doing well. Hard to believe it, but we have birds here in the desert too. Every morning I wake up to the sounds of quail, thrashers, and doves, some woodpeckers too. We have 3 kinds of doves here-- white wings, which are only here through the summer, inca doves, only sometimes, and I think the others are turtle doves or maybe mourning doves, I don't know for sure. And the roadrunners are fun to see. We also have regular squirrels but only see them once in a great while. We have desert squirrels which are smaller than regular ones and have a cute little bushy tail that stands straight up when they run. We have these other animals called round tails that are kind of like a chipmunk, only smaller. I'll tell you, there's always something going on in our front yard. We have 2 bird baths there so they come around for that and the seed block we always have out there. I'm planning on starting back to church this Sunday and I know you will be happy to hear that. I really always enjoyed it and we have a good pastor there. Thanks for all your inspiration and take care.

Hello to you! Hope you're having a beautiful day and every day with the Lord IS beautiful!

It has been a sunny, warm (70's) day today.

I walked two miles this morning after doing some house cleaning and then took my Mother to the eye doctor.

Tonight, my Daughter taught me how to play computer Solitaire.

I wanted to write something philosophical tonight, but now that I'm keying...it's like...????

Well, since I've been putting on some weight, I've changed my mode of dress from size 8 levi jeans to elastic-waisted capri sets...mostly palm-tree prints. Sure are comfortable. I don't know what size I am in levi jeans at the moment and really don't care. I'm focused on working out and eating properly when it comes to weight/size. Our society is so fountain-of-youth-oriented...you look on tv and see people getting face-lifts (some do not turn out well), extreme make-overs (some do turn out well), etc....that's them and I guess it helps their self-esteem...but why put yourself through unnatural beauty treatments or severe diets just to conform to what 'society' thinks beauty is?????? Why not just be the healthiest you can be and look the nicest you can look naturally without going to extremes to try to compete with what magazines, etc. try to dictate as beauty???? (They're probably air-brushed, anyway!) Please don't think that I condemn anyone who has sought beauty through artificial means, because I don't (I sometimes wear a little makeup)....but I think the most beautiful people are those who first are comfortable with their inner selves...because this gives them an outer glow...and a smile is worth more than any expensive clothes a person puts on...I guess I'm just saying this...Strive to be your best but don't expect perfection! Be flexible! Some exercise is better than no exercise, but too much exercise is worse than none. Eating properly is good, but starvation and overeating are both not good at all. Also...a LOT can be said for CLEANLINESS! Staying fresh and showered each day and teeth cleaned and mouthwash and some smell-good and clean clothes on go a long way in a person's appearance! (Hehehe!) And don't forget to SMILE!!! Okay...enough!

Have a good night and remember...Jesus loves ya and so do I!

Love, Maria (smile!)

Hello to you! Hope you are doing well!

It's been a beautiful day today. We had a short little thunder shower that watered the flowers. We've been having temps in the 70's.

I've been eating more and feeling better. It's not about a number or a size...it's about being your healthiest at whatever weight/size works best for your health. I used to focus on numbers...being a certain weight, a certain size, thinking I'd be 'happy' when I acheived those certain numbers...but you know what? I wasn't. I was happiest when I was heavier and not focused on my weight or size. It has taken me a long time to learn this, but good health to enjoy the life God has given to us means so much more than a certain weight or size number...even if for some (or all) of us, this may mean being heavier and larger than our (largely society/peer-based) ideals.

I don't know if this rings a bell for anyone but me, but I just wanted to share the above. My dear Hubby has been trying to get this through to me for a long time. Sooooo now I'm eating more and getting stronger and feeling better...guess this sounds redundant but oh, well.

Hope you all have a blessed night. Remember...Jesus loves ya and so do I!

Love, Maria (smile!)

Hello to you! I read the book of Jonah today, it is a short book in the Bible, only 4 chapters. Excellent reading. It tells about God's mercy toward sinners who repent of their sins and ask His forgiveness. I hope you have repented of your sins and have eternal life through Jesus Christ. He is the ONLY way to be saved. We can't be saved through our good works that we do. Jesus is the only way to be saved. So, if you don't know Him as your personal Lord and Saviour, why not ask Him into your life today? Today is the day of salvation. Don't waste it by putting off what you need to do today. Jesus is coming back to earth and it may be today! He's coming back for those who belong to Him, but WOE to those who don't!!!! I'm praying for you....remember...Jesus loves ya and so do I!

Love, Maria

Hello to you!

Hope you are doing well!

My focus is on being healthy...not a certain size or weight. Today I walked 2 miles at the gym and I tried not to overeat. I know I ate too many snacks, though. Gotta work on that! Have a good night!

Remember Jesus loves ya and so do I! Love, Maria (smile!)
