(THE FUN DIET (Have your cake and eat it, too!))
Weight: 158.0

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Hello to you! Hope you've had a wonderful day thus far!

Today's Menu:

Breakfast: None, still full from yesterday's goodies.

Lunch: McD's quarter-pounder minus the cheese, 440 (if I'd only KNOWN the bun was 180 by itself!) Oh, well.

Snack: Snackpack potato chips, 150.

Later snack: 3 Musketeer candy bar, 260.

Supper: None.

Today's Cals: 850 Calories. (I know, I know, a little low, but I think the birthday cake I had yesterday had hydrogenated oil for most of the icing and may have been 100 cals/tbsp...and if so, that means my total cals for yesterday were a lot more than I thought they were. I haven't found the calories for Bilo birthday cake though I have looked online. Besides, goal day is April 19th, only 2 more days! Do y'all think I can do it?)

Exercise: Hours of walking.

Remember...Jesus loves ya and so do I!

Love, Maria (smile!)

Progress as of today: 11.5 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Hello to you! Hope you're having a nice day!

Did some more shopping today for Mom's birthday and birthday party...we'll be having cake, ice cream, chips, cheetos, orange candy (her favorite), chocolate-covered peanuts, and a variety of soft drinks. (But I'll be drinking water as I don't drink soft drinks.) Also I found her some gorgeous bedroom slippers today to go with her red housecoat that I hope will fit her. They are black with red trim. After this, I went to a Good Friday service at a church in town where we all sang songs about Jesus and heard the Word of God preached. It was WONDERFUL!!! I sang to Jesus and raised my hand toward the ceiling, too. I think it is a good thing to praise the Lord and while you may not raise your hand to Him publicly, you may praise Him another way and that is good! Everyone is different! That's the way He created us! Then I went and visited my Mom, who had cooked some boiled eggs and baked some sweet potatoes in her oven and had lunch with her. She also had some peas and pork cooking in her crockpot but I didn't have any of that. She is SO excited about her party...it's the first time she's had a party given to her. I told her about the cake and the colors of it and you should have seen the happiness in her face!

Today's Menu:

Breakfast: 1 scrambled egg, no oil, 80, 1 multi-grain bread, 70.

Snack: 1 raisin cake, 300?, 1 peppermint candy, 20.

Lunch: 1 small baked sweet potato, plain, 140, and 1 boiled egg, 80.

Snack: 1 cup microwaved plain okra, 50.

Supper: Part of a small pizza, 350, 1 apple, 80, 3/4 cup rice with a little beef stew, 180.

Today's Total: 1350 calories (or close to it).

Exercise: Vacumned 5 rooms, wash clothes, raked in the yard, swept back deck and front porch, watered flowers, did a lot of extra cleaning of the house.

Today is Good Friday. It is the day we observe of the day our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ gave His Life to save you and me. Because of Him, we who believe in Him have the gift of eternal life in Him...we have a home waiting for us when we leave this world where we will never suffer again...a home of pure love, peace, joy, and beauty. There is NOTHING in this world that can compare with this. We, who belong to Him (Jesus) have that gift of eternal life NOW...we don't have to wait til we leave this world to have this precious gift, we have it now. We can know peace, joy, love now because we belong to Him. One day, Jesus is going to come back...He is going to return to earth...if you are not ready and waiting and watching for His return, guess what? You will have missed out on the most important thing life has to offer! So, if you are not saved, now is the time to repent of your sins, ask His forgiveness, and believe on Him...Jesus shed His blood and gave His life for your forgiveness....He took YOUR place on the cross because He LOVES YOU! Won't you ask Him to be your Lord and Saviour today?

Remember...Jesus loves ya and so do I!

All the goodies you brought for you mom's Birthday sounds really nice, you guys must have a great time, njoy every minute!

That birthday party sounds great, and you did well with the food considering all the temptations. It sounds like you had an amazing Good Friday! Good for you for not drinking soft drinks too. I've never been big on them, but since finding out my *news* I've been avoiding them entirely except for a little ginger ale when absolutely necessary for nausea. The sugary ones will rot your teeth, and the diet ones have their own set of complications - better to avoid them entirely!

Hello to you! Hope you're having a nice day!

Did some more shopping today...Mom will be getting a new telephone and some nice, supportive 'unmentionables' (hehe!) for her birthday instead of the blow dryer. Also, got her a very pretty cake, has a lot of orange icing borders around the white cake, some matching flowers, some colorful sprinkles, I think she will like it! Also picked up a gallon of ice cream, neapolitan, among some other things for the party Sunday afternoon we're giving her.

Today's Menu:

Note: Sometimes I try to guess as closely as I can on calories and measurements if I'm not sure of EXACT calories and measurements, but I do use restaurant calorie guides as well as food calorie guides online.

Breakfast: 1/2 sandwich consisting of 1 multi-grain bread, 70, and 1 fatfree cheese, 30.

Snack: 1 peppermint candy, 20.

Lunch: 1 McD's small cheeseburger, 310, 1 McD's apple pie, 250.

Snack: 1 large apple, 100.

Supper: Grilled turkey burger with a little ketchup and mustard minus the bread, 250, small salad consisting of 1 cup lettuce, 15, 1 tbs. fatfree thousand island dressing, 20, 3/4 baked sweet potato, 135.

Today's Total: 1200 calories (or close to it).

Hello to you! Hope you've had a real nice day today! It's been sunny and warm again today in South Carolina, USA! (80's fahrenheit).

I did a little shopping for my Mother's Sunday afternoon birthday party today...BTW, my Mother, Lord willing, will be 75 Sunday (Easter). I still have some more shopping to do, however... I asked her how she felt about blow dryers, since I got her one, and she absolutely does NOT!!!! ever want one...doesn't like them! Guess I'll be taking that back. I picked her up this afternoon and brought her over here and she and I had a barbequed chicken grill-out on the back deck. We each had a lounge chair that we were in while the chicken was grilling on the rotissiere and we talked and enjoyed hearing the birds singing and the sunny, nice, warm weather!

Breakfast: 1 grilled cheese sandwich made with 2 multi-grain bread, 140, 2 fatfree cheese, 60, and 2 tbs low-cal margerine,100.

Hello to you! Hope you're having a real nice day today! It's sunny and warm again here in South Carolina, USA!

Went shopping at the second-hand store again today and found 3 nice shirts for $1.99 each and got them....Probably would have been $20.00 each or so if I'd bought them new.

Then I went and visited my Mom a little while and asked her if it would be okay if I give her a little birthday party on her birthday Sunday afternoon? She said yes and was delighted!!! (Hope she feels the same Sunday.)

Anywayyyyy....planning, Lord willing, on Hubby and I having a steak grill-out on the back deck after he gets home from work. That 'should' be in about an hour or so....I'm hungry and I just ate some okra...so that should hold me til steak-time!!! (And 'Taters' time!!! Hehehe!)

Today's Menu:

Breakfast: 1 banana, 110 and 1/2 sandwich made of 1 multi-grain bread, 70, and 1 fatfree cheese, 30.

Snack: 1 snack-size raisin cake, 150, and 1/2 apple, 45.

Lunch: 1 Krispy Kreme glazed donut, 200.

Snack: 1 cup microwaved okra, 50.

Supper: 1 medium-sized grilled chuck steak, 300, a few homefried potatoes, 165, other half apple, 45, small lettuce salad with 1 cup lettuce, 15, 1 tbsp. fatfree thousand island dressing, 20.

Praise the Lord for healing your mom :O).. and wow 75.. thats awesome !!... good for her.. :O)..

as for playing with the kids.. we do that often.. more Chris (DH) then me.. only because they play this card game.. and I know nothing about it.. doesnt interst me..lol.. and he plays video games with them.. I dont play those either.. but we do play regular cards with them and board games.. the kiddos are number 1 if you ask me.. and if we can be their for them.. they wont get into all the trouble most other kids get into..thats the reason I work part time.. only 3 days a week.. and right next door.. I know where my kids are at all times.. I know sometimes it is hard for some parents to know these things.. because they are working full time jobs... I am sure that if I were to work full time somewhere else and made better money.. we would have more.. material things.. so to speak.. but.. my kids are more important to me.. not saying theirs arent.. expecially single parents.. but this is what we have chose.. and when the kids are grown.. then we can worry about other things.. but for now... me being here for my kids is number one..anywho.. I could go on and on..lol.. but I shall hush... I hope I dont offend anyone here if they read this.. just my opinions here.. :O)..

Maria.. you have a great evening.. hugs sweetie.. God Bless.. :O)

Hi Maria!

I read a bit about Myrtle Beach and it looks totally gorgeous! Hubby and me would have to include that in our trip after next trip to America! I think they play gholf also there sometimes, realy beautiful.

If i may ask, how old is your mother? It sometimes bothers me that my mother gets older, she is 60 this year and sometimes i just think how on earth i will manage to take care of her etc when she gets older, as she is/was the one that took care of me all these years. Oh well, i guess i just feel guilty and because of that i will never live overseas permanently or emigrate because i would always feel this huge responsibility towards my parents, which is quite natural i presume but oh well. Just wanted to share a thought.

Have a great day!

Welna

Hello to you! Hope you're having a real nice day today! It's sunny and warm here in South Carolina, USA!

I just got back from exercising at the gym and visiting with my Mother. Her birthday is Easter and I got her a blow dryer for her hair, which she curls herself but she doesn't have a blow dryer...so she'll have one now, come Easter. I don't know what else I'm going to get her yet. I thought about giving her a birthday party, only thing is, she feels different on different days and if I arrange one and she's not up to it I'll have to call it off....hum....

Today's Menu:

Brunch: 1 steak biscuit, 400, 1/2 apple, 45.

Snack: 1 snack-size raisin cake, 150.

Another snack: 1 small cheese pizza, 410.

Supper: 1 cup microwaved okra, 50, other half apple, 45, 1/2 ear corn, 100.

Snack: 1 small popcorn, 100.

Today's Total: 1200 calories.

Exercise: 21 laps around basketball court and weights work-out.

Btw, I usually go back and adjust entries according to whether I have the popcorn snack or not.

It's weird but I seem to be getting full easier than I used to....hum....

Oh, good news....(hehehe, here comes vanity)...I am now wearing my FAVORITE size 12 jeans....my oldie-goldie size 12 black levi 550's non-stretch. Even wore them to church last nite for the kids program. This was one of my goals! My other goal is to be 155 and fit into 'all' my old size 12 levi jeans comfortably and not snugly (only lack 2 of them) by April 19th, as Hubby and I, Lord willing will be leaving for our l-o-n-g weekend beach vacation the 20th!!!!

Have a good afternoon and remember...Jesus loves ya and so do I!

Hello to you on this Palm Sunday.

This will be a short entry, cause I'm fixing to be going back to church to practice with the kids for their Easter Miracle program tonite...(I play the piano).

Breakfast: Most of a poached egg, 70, and 1 multi-grain plain toast, 70.

Snack at church: 1 butterscotch hard candy, 20.

Lunch at Golden Corral Buffet: 1 & 1/2 yeast rolls, 285, 2/3 small pack honey butter, 40, sweet potato, 140, 2/3 piece of cheese pizza, 140, 2/3 fried chicken leg, 160, 1 small corn on the cob, 100, 1/2 cup vanilla soft-serve ice cream, 50, 1/2 cup orange sherbert soft-serve ice cream, 50, a few peanuts and 1 tsp chocolate syrup, 25, and 1 cup watermelon, 50.

No supper, no snack, just lots of water.

Today's Total: 1200 calories.

I'm up one today, to be expected from the sodium in the hotdog...so not really up. I wore another suit to church this morning that I haven't been able to wear for a long time!

Today is Palm Sunday...the day Jesus entered Jerusalem, knowing He was about to give His life for yours and mine on the cross so that we, by believing in and living for Him, can have ETERNAL LIFE.

If you're not a Christian, but want to have this free gift of eternal life, all you have to do is confess your sins to Jesus and ask Him to forgive you, acknowledging that He gave His Life and shed His Blood on the cross for your forgiveness, and believe in and live for Him. Then you will be a Christian and have eternal life through Jesus! (BIG, BIG SMILE!!!)

Hope you have a good evening....remember...Jesus loves ya and so do I!

Good afternoon to you!!!

Hope you've been having a wonderful day today!

New number is 157.0!!!

I went back over to the flea market again this morning...lots of people there...but I didn't get anything....at least not there...(hehehhe!!!) Then I left and went 'SHOPPING' and tried on a pair of size 12 levi jeans and THEY FIT!!!!! (hehehehe!) and got them. I also wore an old pair of size 12 levi jeans today...weird, but 3 other size 12 old levi jeans I've had a long time are still a little too small to wear.....hum.....

Anyway, I came back home and had a call from my Mom wanting me to run an errand for her, which I did and visited her a little while.

Came home and fixed supper for Hubby...hotdogs and french fried potatoes. (He's a meat and potatoes man when it comes to food.)

I haven't eaten much today...although I did stop at a store in between the flea market and going shopping and did get a little raisin cake, 240 calories and gobbled that up, hehehehe! (Sure could have been more....they had fried chicken at that store that I walked out and left! It smelled SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD!!!

Anyway, here is today's menu thus far:

Breakfast: 1 poached well-done egg, 80, 2 multi-grain bread, 140.

Snack: 1 small raisin cake, 240.

Lunch: 1 banana, 105, 1/2 small box boston baked beans, 70, and part of an apple, 65.

Supper: 1 hotdog (that Hubby left on his plate and it was NOT fatfree, thus adding 80 more calories, but oh, well,...sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!), 250, a few french fried potatoes, 150.

Snack: 1 small 100 calories bag of 94% fatfree lite butter popcorn, 100.

Today's Total: 1200 calories.

Tomorrow is Palm Sunday...the day Jesus entered Jerusalem, knowing He was about to give His life for yours and mine on the cross so that we, by believing in and living for Him, can have ETERNAL LIFE.

Love, Maria (smile!)

Progress as of today: 12.5 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!

Hello again hun.. :O).. thanks for the comments.. yeah.. most days I dont even feel hungry.. low carbing does that to ya.. makes your sugar level out and eliminate the cravings.. thats why I love this diet.. I have so much more control.. I know what I can and cant eat.. its pretty cut and dry.. I am in the low carb group and they have all the yummy recipes I have been finding ehehe.. so there is lots of great subsitutes for alot of things.. today , I found something I can have beside a taco shell.. its just heated shredded chedder cheese.. then while still hot.. lay it over a rolling pin to get the effect.. ot in a bowl to make a taco shell for salads.. I even know how to make spaghetti pasta.. you take a squash.. cut it into.. bake it and take out the strings.. use that as your pasta.. add sauce and there ya go.. I just love this.. and my cauliflowwr mashed "taters".. they taste just like the real thing.. I dont feel like I am missing anything.. :).. ok enough about my low carbing.. hehehe.. I just do love it and seem to be loosing good.. :O)..
