I have been on vacation the last few days. They were NOT healthy days. 2eggsBeans1bread1cSoup, sausageEggBiscuit, jello, bananna, apple, applesauce, popcorn, salad, 2 more jellos, another bananna, orange, jello, big pickle, applesauce, soup, rice, beans, tortilla chips, salsa, CottageCheesePineapple, popcorn. Water was 85 oz. I hit a bump in the road and fell off the wagon. I'm gonna post here as usual, but my comments will probably be short cheerleading and very little advice. I really didn't like the way I felt the last few days. But I'm feeling better now. Starting over again.

I just ordered broccoli chicken), (Hungry an hour later.) More popcorn, applesauce, apple, salad, leftover sauerkraut, more...1/2 bag microwave popcorn, sweet potato, yogurt, 2c soup, a handful of those cheese flavored Styrofoam disc thingys, 2 sugarfree jellos, CottageCheesePineapple. H20 was 93oz. Scored more Peppers, Turnips, Apple's and SweetPotatoes last night from the guy who runs a produce stand. He brought them in to give away "Free". Gonna try to make some kinda vegetable medley with olive oil and baked in foil. It's good to see more people reporting in here at DD. Maybe we should have a reunion.

I love veggies with olive oil in foil. We do them on the grill sometimes or in the oven. I add chunks of garlic - delicious when it gets crispy! Wish I could score some free veggies! Have a great day.

(whole wheat bread, turkey burger, 2% cheese ), jello, CottageCheesePineapple water was average. I don't know why I am always so hungry on sundays. 209 lbs. again this Monday morning. when I am not at work and have access to food all day, I find it hard to eat moderately also...and Monday I am always so hungry after eating more during the weekend.

you asked about my veggies. I do admit I do not always cook them myself, but, I do not only steam. I almost always add at least oil into the mix. the tastiest veggies I've had lately are ones I buy - it's a healthy slaw salad made with some herbs and a light maybe even only vinegar (and maybe a little oil) - anyways, the store tends to take leftovers and sautee them! The sautee the slaw salad and it's the best tasting thing I've ever had as far as veggies go. They sometimes add black beans and even craisins into it...sometimes even some rice and chick peas and all sorts of exatras making it a really nice, fulfilling, tasty dish.

anyways, when I order thai food, the veggies are cooked either in a curry or a sauce that may be either garlic, basil, or ginger. I live in a busy metro area, so for me, it's easy to get prepared food. Even the supermarkets now have sautéed veggies (even if it's string beans or something more basic) most days. However, when cooking myself, it's generally olive oil or similar, garlic or onion cooked in, and some stir fry or Asian sauce also. the options are really endless and as long as you are not coating your veggies in bread crumbs and literally frying them, a stir fry and sauce isn't a bad thing. if you need to watch salt, now this is my opinion, you can still cook them this way, and put them on a salad (so some of the meal is not in sauce!). I do this, I sometimes will eat the cooked veggies with lettuce (on top of a salad) for added volume. I have definitely experimented a lot on a how to eat a huge volume of food for little calories. sometimes it still adds up though, as I really do go overboard sometimes :)

and actually, I do also steam (sometimes I do add a lil salt even though it's not the healthiest) but usually I then eat those steamed veggies with veggies that were cooked with a little more flavor / sauce. I do not try to drink up the sauce though - I eat whatever is on the veggies ;)
