A belated congratulations on being on here for a year! This past November was actually 10 years for me - wow, how did that happen? Some of us old timers come and go but this place has been a major help in keeping me on track for the past 10 years, so I always come back.

yay for the treadmill walk is right! you know, in my opinion, it takes some getting used to when walking on a treadmill. and honestly, that may have been one of the contributing factors to me getting shin splints. my advice is to walk as you would outside, not really trying to push your speed or incline right away! always be gradual. also, make sure to stretch! even with your runs in the warehouse. where is the treadmill...in your house/apt? cool if it is...when my legs improve, down the road, i think i may buy a piece of equipment to use to exercise in my place, too. but that won't be for awhile, maybe a year or more. :-D

hi ohio! happy new year! fake chicken - was awesome bc they seasoned it and cooked it just right - it tasted awesome. i am sure i could never replicate it! it reminded me of a little tougher piece of tofu, seasoned and cooked just right...

Today is the day. It will be one year since I've joined this Diet Diary group. I've posted everyday for a year without fail. On the days that the website was down I went to the Facebook group, and I posted there for that day. 
I don't think I can keep the weight off without posting every day, being accountable for myself and being conscience of what I eat every day, every hour, every minute.
God help us. You're probably stuck with me for another year. But I'm pretty sure there are worse places to be. I've made and lost a lot of friends on here, though I am still one of the new kids on the block. Some have been here for years and stop in to say hello from time to time and it's easy to understand why. I know it's hard to post on here every day. At least it is for me. Sometimes we need a break in our very busy lives, to fight some of the other battles we face every day. 
I want to thank all my Coaches and Friends here. I want to thank the WebMasters that keep this site going. 
We are for the most part faceless entities with nick-names, suggestions and experiences. We are scattered all over the World, and at the same time, together.

It doesn't seem Like too bad of a day now that I've written it down. I don't want to say I hate the holidays, it's just that I wish they weren't about food a lot of the time. I've heard it said on this site that the toughest battles you will fight is the one between your ears. Well, for me and a lot of other folks...this means war !

awww thanks for taking my advice...it's good advice, I'd say! ;) So...yeah...cranberries have got to be, in my GREAT opinion, the best berry! so much less sugar than the rest!...or it seems to be, to me...because you can cook them to be like jelly, but they aren't! so, intead of 30 cal per tablespoon of jelly, you can have 30 cal per half cup of the raw, but you know....cooked cranberries. so good. so much more compared to a tablespoon of jelly! and I love the jogging in the warehouse...seriously, I'd love to write that someday! haha

I think it takes a couple of days after the holidays to get back on track. At least for me I'm always so hungry after a day when I ate too much, it hardly seems worth the splurge.
