I would like to know if it is better to starve myself and skip meals BEFORE thanksgiving, or workout extra hard and skip meals AFTER the big meal. Any comments ?

I'm planning to just eat normally the week before and week after but with no extra treats and then up the exercise a bit. Haven't been doing this very long so I'm not sure if it is a good idea or not. We do not have a big social life right now so I hope to enjoy the company and celebration of Thanksgiving guilt free. If I gain a little I now know how to get it back off.

starve yourself? skip meals? i wouldn't do either of these things. maybe you could limit your desserts and extra servings prior to AND after thanksgiving to make up for the extra indulgence? i think you should work out the same as you are now. have your indulgent meals but remember how far you've come and how it's a daily choice and a daily struggle and a daily victory.

Definitely don't skip or starve. Increase the exercise, decrease the "extras" like desserts or junk a few days before and after, and just eat in moderation on Thanksgiving. Good luck!!

It's just one day and if you're confident that Thanksgiving food isn't going to start you on the path to habits you'd rather not renew, then just enjoy. Eat well, but don't be surprised if some of the food doesn't take a bit of "revenge" on you afterward. Try not to overdo it at any rate!

Keep doing what you can exercise-wise and you'll probably see a loss soon!
