Biked into work. 10 miles.

We are having a big scare here at work. I work at AK steel and Our Blast Furnace failed and has shut down. I work as a stores clerk. A job I love. I have 18 years of service at the company. The talk is it could take between a month and 4 months to make the repairs. There was immediate layoffs and people being shuffled around to other parts of the plant and made to work swing shifts. I pray for those who are, and I pray that I am not one of them. I've read lately about how routines help others maintain their healthy lifestyles. Well, I am certainly one of those. I don't do well on the night shifts. Hopefully maintenance can fix this in a hurry and everything can get back to normal. My spirit is always high, so I'm not going to let this worry me. I'll just make the best of what comes my way.

Bad news for people being sent away especially with so many people being unemployed right now in the states. A lot of people do not have 1 - 4 months of special funds for these kind of unexpected time off. Hope all will turn out good for you. Take care Raven.

Oh no! I hope they can make the repairs soon so that people can get back to their jobs and routines! I hear you about being thrown off routine and how much harder it is to maintain a healthy lifestyle. You did great today, biking 10 miles! Awesome!

Storms were bad here yesterday, too. Staying in some kind of routine is key for me. This year I have had trouble even getting in a routine, much less staying in one! But it will happen. I am chipping away at it.

RYC, I'm glad you have found the culprit. I wonder what's causing it? Hopefully there are some diet adjustments you can make to get rid of it. Have a good one!

Read yesterday's post. Glad mentioned oottage Cheese. I thought of a sald I make in the summer when the tomatos get good around here with cottage cheese, onions, real bacon bits (only 1- 2 T) and supposed to have chopped green peppers, but I can't eat them, so.....

No need to change my numbers today. My weight is 179Lbs. Right on the nose again this week.

I don't think Beetroot juice has anything to do with my phlemmy throat. But I DO think dairy is responsible. SO, a little less cream in my coffee, less cheese in the salad, and the cottage cheese portions are going to be smaller.

Got off work, parked at the bike path. Rode my bicycle to a county bridge and back. It was a short little jaunt. Found out it was 5miles. This is exactly the same distance if I would have rode into work yesterday morning. So it was a wash. I did sweat a little actually. I couldn't ride today cause I'm working overtime.
