Grapefruit

I went foraging yesterday, got more dandelions, wild onions, miners lettuce and some wild ginger. Bought a coffee grinder to grind up my dried dandelion roots and ginger for tea. Also seeking the elusive stinging nettle for its roots and my next soup.

Doing great, Ohio! I drink a lot of fennel & nettle tea...out of a box though. No shortage of stinging nettles here. I've run into a few. Ouch.

I'm glad to see that you haven't regressed to wild eating after making it to your goal. I think maintaining a sensible weight is actually harder for me than losing.

Raven just thought I would share my BIL is really not doing well - not eating - on ensure supplements and just sleeping a lot. The Dr. does not think he will make it to the birth of his grandchild. Yesterday was their 40th wedding anniversary yesterday. I was going to see my son in a few weeks but I am going to wait because I will probably just get back from Ottawa and will have to go back down to that area. Thank you for listening.

I think stinging nettle is very young in your (our) neck of the woods right now and I believe it is harder to ID beacause it looks so different than the middle-aged or mature plants. Do you forage on undeveloped land, I must have missed that. You may be a veteran plant hunter so excuse my comments if they seem elementary. I think plants are facinating - especially their potential for medicinal use. :-)

McSalad, minipopcorn

Frisch's = Graindart Salad (all the fixin's) , 1c veg. Soup, 4 slices of pickled beets.

No exercise, some more gardening. Put more tomatoes in. Celebrity, superbeefsreak. Still waiting for my SweetPotato slips to arrive. Can't start the flower garden untill these propellers stop falling from all the maple trees in my yard.

Water was Low, green and dandelion tea, decaf coffee.

Gardening counts as exercise! I watch my hubby garden and he works hard.

Never tried dandelion tea. Got about a zillion different teas in my cupboard but not that one.

Good morning Raven. I will have to be good since I had pizza last night. Just could not bring myself to cook. I also did not take time to eat all day. It was just one of those days where you work work work and food is not even on your mind but you realize that you should eat something or just go to bed. But I knew I would be up in the middle of night if I went to bed and would probably everything and anything that was in the house. So today I take it easy on myself - on my knee and make sure I do not stress my lower back too much. Anyway. I hope you have a great day. Enough venting thank you for listening.

We take loratadine (generic antihistimine) for allergy symptoms - it's OTC. Hope you feel better - glad you liked the ballgame. Good going on your food.

Church Salad Lunch = 1/2c of each ; potato, taco, greenbean, broccoli, and fruit salad, 2Deviled egg halves.

1/2 SweetPotato, 1c soup.

Pickle.

Almost no water. Coffee and tea only.

Prayers (oh yeah !)

Lost another pound just eating right I guess. Stopped coughing but able to sleep through the night. Did some more tilling, putting last year's leaves in the soil. Going to The Cincinnati Red's game tonight against the Cubs. It's a Vendors Skybox, catered affair. Gotta watch my eats there. Picked a few handfuls of dandelions. Drying roots for tea and putting leaves in my salad.

Hope you are on the mend now. Have a good time at the game. You are a regular Father Earth on that dandelion drying and salad picking! I am impressed. Like I've said before - I wish I had ground to grow things in! I think it would be neat to share with local food banks if there was excess!

Not to be an alarmist, but please read about the side effects of the (I assume dosepak) Medrol. It's a corticosteroid preparation and will pretty much make anyone with any affliction feel healed. Coming down from it after you take the last dose may be problematic. Two people I know would never take it ever again.

I got 5 prescriptions . Cough syrup, Zpak, an inhaler, Singulair, and something called Medrol. Hope to get back to "Normal" again soon. Thanks for your concern
