Good morning

Yesterday all was good food and water.

Today need to go out again forgot a few things and I have also decided to go up to the cottage on Thrusday and return on Saturday because I am having my company over on Synday only.  All will be good that way will have time to do everything I need to do.

Apart from that the scale is not moving this plateau is really long but that is ok it will eventually move and I am comfortable with where I am right now anyway.

You might be able to get off the plateau by juggling calories or exercise. Any kind of change often helps. It's worked for me. Good luck!

Good morning

Yesterday was good day food and water on track.

Got most of my stuff done yesterday but will continue today.

The kids and my brother and s-i-l coming over for dinner on Sunday we are celebrating Thanksgiving.  It will be another great get together.  No cottage this weekend but the following weekend will be going again at least a few more times before Winter.  We have to take advantage of it all. 

I do not have much to say about much today.

Good morning

All is good yesterday food was on track and water also.

Going out for breakfast with brother and s-i-l my regular Monday of catching up on the week. 

I have quite a few things on my to do list this week.  I have been slacking off on my house duties and spending too much time at the cottage plus all the other activities I have been taking in lately. 

I also need to do some errands today like groceries for the week.  A lot of great specials this week so will stock up a little bit more then usual.  Freezer will be filled up.  I don't usually do that because I have a little bit more waste I find when I buy too much stuff because by the time I get to it I do not feel like having it anymore.  I will have to work on that waste problem.  My cupboard are so empty it is unreal.

Better a Waste problem than a Waist problem. I know what you mean about cupboards being bare. I really don't need more than a shelf these days. The refrigerator is the same way. Have a good day, Puddy.

I do a lot of bulk shopping through our co-op and I probably have enough food to survive the apocalypse in my basement :) But it's all staples that we go through with four people. I understand though, I get nervous when my cupboards don't have the essentials!

Sometimes I have that waste problem too! But it's usually Bc I buy too many already cooked things from local places and they spoil by the time I get to them! But I am also getting better and not wasting Bc is do not like throwing food away and wasting my money like that!

I know about the waste problem & then feel guilty. I'm almost better off shopping daily but that gets tiring. Nice to make good use of grocery specials though.

Just thought I would check in I am back from the cottage and all went really well.  Food on track.  Nice to be with people that are all watching their weight and it was a great exchange of ideas and plans and trick they have found that works for them. 

I will post tomorrow morning since I am back to my routine at least till my next getaway.

Good morning guys

Yesterday was so so food and water was very good.

I was slightly off on my food but that is not a big crazy off but for me when I go out of my regular routine I consider that off.  My water was very good and seem to be getting better at it.

Today I leave for the cottage and that part is good because of who is at the cottage -  we are all on a plan and will basically combine our routines and come up with a healthy meals for the next 3 days that works for all of us.  It is just so great to spend time with people that understand and of course are very health conscious.  They have some diabetis concerns and are also in full diet mode to loose more weight in order to get off the medication.  It is also interesting to see how others do it.  They have to watch some stuff that I do not but still makes it interesting and makes me more aware of the problem possibilities if I decide to go off this healthy path I am on.

I will sign off quite a few things to get done early well after I finish my coffee time.... lol..  Wishing you all a great day and a great weekend.  I will be back late Sunday so I will not post till Monday morning.

Good morning to all

Yesterday was a perfect day food and water.

I have pondered changing and not changing my number and decided that dealing with the reality of the number I want is the way I want to go so I changed my number to 180 for the next step/challenge for my second year of this journey.  Oct 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016 my challenge is to try to get to or as close as I can like the last challenge to 180.  It is 26 lbs a far cry from how much I lost in my previous year of challenge.  My pace will be slower and I am quite happy with that.  I am encouraged to start because I know that all I need is willingness to continue on my path.

Today is a grocery day plus a few extra errands because tomorrow I am going off to the cottage for the weekend Friday to Sunday.  We have planned our meals for the weekend and it is all healthy and since we never feel like going out after we get there there will be no options but to eat what we brought with us.  No junk at the cottage definitely a safe zone.

Oh, that is wonderful that you have decided to GO FOR IT (the 180)! And I think it is a very good decision that in lieu of your having done such a SUPERB JOB this year for getting down to as low a weight as you are, to give yourself a little more time (room) so to lose the 26...no pressure, just enjoyment in getting healthier and healthier! HAPPY FOR YOU! :-D

Good morning

Yesterday was good a little high on food but water was perfect.

I cooked a roast yesterday so my protein was a little high but I will have leftovers for the week.  I enjoy leftovers they always seem to taste better the second time around.  I just have to come up with a little imagination to create interesting different meals now.  

It is almost the end of the month can you guys believe October is almost here.  It has gone real fast but it has been a good end of Summer. 

I will have to reassess my goal in October - not sure if I want to change my number at the top and reset the goal to 180.  What do you guys think would you change it or let it go into negative.  I know that Raven did that last time.

October is my favorite month! I am SO EXCITED about it changing over tomorrow from September to October! I love the COOL weather...'jacket and sweater and capes and warm pullovers' wearing weather! JEANS-wearing weather! I love when the leaves turn gold, red, and all shades in between!..(Although we have to wait to November or very close to it, here)...Also...you mentioned cooking a roast...I love roast beef! YES...GO FOR IT, the 180! Don't settle for less! You CAN DO IT! You are truly a BIG INSPIRATION to all of us here! :-D

I'm not a person to respond to your question. I chose not to post my weight or my goal and that works for me as the numbers would just drive me crazy.

I wanted to post my numbers because I want to see it every day to remind me that it is not an acceptable weight for many reason but mostly health wise. It reinforce for me the reason to keep on going.

Puddy, I wouldn't be hung up on the numbers anymore. I think all of our goals should read "Healthy". You have been So Happy, So Healthy, So Consistent with your Diet. Just keep doing what you're doing. I want to see you posting on here for a long, long time. Have a Healthy (And Happy) Day !

As far as changing your goal weight to a lower one, I'd suggest keeping it the same for a week or two so you can be happy and realize you've achieved it and feel good that you reached it. Then after a week or two, i'd lower it. Even if just a little bit, like 5 lbs lower and continuing to do that in small increments so it's easier to achieve small goals. That's what I do, that's why I suggest it :)

Leftovers always taste great if they tasted good originally :) Also, leftovers are great because it gives you a break from cooking hahaha!

I do believe that changing the number is a mental thing...so don't change it until you feel comfortable that you've reached your current goal, if that's your worry - that's my opinion on it. I also agree very much with OR. Health is so important & definitely more than just a #. I have a lot of growing still to do in learning this important fact.

Good morning

Yesterday was a good day food and water.

I am having a longer then normal plateau this time.  I will just wait it out. 

Yesterday I deciced to take a look at my clothes in the closet and dug out my old jeans and I was surprised to find that they fit.  I put them on and went to breakfast in one of the jean I use to wear that really felt good.  It seems I am not loosing but some clothes I could not wear I am now getting into.  I might one of those body shifters.... lol... my body is definitely doing something readjusting, taking a break - to bad it cannot speak because I would love to be let in on the news and what it  is doing.

My month of September I will probably not have lost anything at all.  Now that will be a first for me but totally ok since the scale did not go up either.

maybe you've gained some muscle. And muscle takes up much less room than fat. For the same weight, muscle is much smaller and therefore that may be why your smaller clothes fit! That would be awesome. The more muscle you have, also the more calories you burn...so that's nice too...helps you to lose weight as well :)

Yes, definitely wait the plateau out. Never give up or give in !

Good morning

The weekend was great because we all ate very healthy because other people where being careful with their food.  NIce to be around people that are like me.  This could be another healthy beginning for me. 

No change on the scale but I was expecting any because I could not feel it.  That is ok at least it did not go up.

Going out for breakfast with brother you guys know my regular monday routine.  I think I am going back to the cottage for the weekend probably Thursday to Sunday again.  Very few weekends left before that cottage will be closed.

Maintenance is soooo much better than going up in weight! Today I stepped on the scale before breakfast and actually expected the scale to be up a bit....but when it showed the same weight I was thrilled!

I hope you enjoy the cottage this weekend. Sounds so peaceful and like such a nice change of pace :)

Not much going on here.   I am finally settling down and getting some rest.  I have done my routine but that is about it.  I am going to the cottage for a two days at end of week Fri and Sat will see if I stay til Sun.

It is really great sleeping weather :) lately I find myself sleeping at least 8 hours if not closer to 9! I guess my body is really reveling in the fact that I can rest more - rest helps us in countless ways :)

Enjoy the cottage. Are you going with family? Seems like great weather for the outdoors as well..
