Good afternoon

Yesterday was a great day.

Well again this morning did not get up til 8:30 am  now that is definitely a different routine for me. 

Just got back from doing all my errands and ready for a short nap.

Food for today to be determined more tired then hungry.  I think it is the weather that helps me sleep late.  In the fall I know that I don't really feel like getting out as much as in the Summer so sleeping in does not cut into my day of outside pleasures.

yeah, i feel you with the weather change and change of activity level. In the winter, I definite prefer a bit more rest & sleep in comparison with summer. I would say it's normal. Sleeping in...kinda makes sense as it gets darker in the mornings!

I have no problem with Winter because my Summer starts over again as soon as I leave but it is the few months before my departure that just kills me.

lol....ahhh true! I totally forgot. it's good that you take yourself out of the cold...it's so much easier to operate when it's warm outside!

Good morning

Yesterday was a great relax day I must have been really tired because this morning I got up at 10:30 I have not done that in a dogs age. 

I have to go to store today and get a few things after I check the flyers that are over today because the new sales start tomorrow and I can compare the old flyer to the new flyer.  I have gotten pretty good at taking advantage of all the sales. 

Food for today have not even thought about that it will be determined later on in the day but I do have to finish off the other half of the spaghetti squash and that might just be for dinner tonight before it goes bad.

I went to the grocery Monday with granddaughter and bought a bunch of stuff. Did well on prices and have most dinners planned out this week. We will see how it goes. Sounds like you are working your plan.

I buy so many vegetables that shopping around is necessary. My veg bill is higher then my meat bill.

Good morning

Our Thanksgiving holiday is over and a great time was had.

This week will be getting back to a normal routine.  Holiday long weekends always upsets my routine but not in a bad way just sleep and the in and out of people around.  It will be nice to return to my pm naps and not having anything on my todo list for a while.

Apart from that all is good and hope you guys are all doing good.

Of course I'm glad to hear that you had a good time on your holiday! I also enjoy holidays but also enjoy getting back to my own routine after. I like to have that balance and enjoy personal time too...

Usually us Jews fast today (good weightloss day lol) until the evening, but I'm eating today because i'm taking tests and i just know that trying the other way would probably end in a binge...so....yeah, holidays offer their challenges for sure!

One thing I haven't mastered is PM naps...tend to reach for caffeine!

and by the way, look at your weight chart! what progress! :) you must be proud of yourself!

Good morning

Yesterday was a good day.

Out with friend last night and that was good and no temptations.

Today run errands and clean a little more around the house nothing really much.  We are having another wonderful day 24C/78F I think this is our indian Summer.  We always get a few days that the weather goes back to Summer like weather and that is the weather for the next 3 days.  This will be the end of it and Fall will really start being more accurate as far as temperature is concerned.

Hockey game tonight at 6:30 should be another good game.

Food for today not too sure yet but healthy choices actually I have nothing else in the house but healthy food pretty hard to fall off the wagon when nothing is available around me unless I purposely go out to get something.

Always nice when you aren’t even tempted. I love this & have gotten really good really looking for the veggies and how to get around a menu with a lack of them!

Yes that’s so warm. It’s not even that warm in NY right now – around 70 today. Which is also perfect… Let us know who wins the game – weather is perfect for it!

Yes, I just don't even buy goodies or treats. No temptations in the house and can't go too far off the rails! We have only had like 2 days of Fall-like weather so far. It's in the 80s here. Next week is supposed to be more seasonable weather!

Good Morning

Yesterday was a great day for my food all on track.

On the agenda for today is some cleaning and checking out my closet for my trip as to what I think I should bring.  This year I am going by plane which means the packing as to be limited to fewer things as compared to when I drive.  I have also to be concerned about the weight of the suitcase and I plan to have only one suitcase within the 50lb weight. 

Food for today is still to be determined but I do have several options not quite sure if I will have a higher calorie day or not.  Not hungry right now so will figure it later.  One way or the other it will be vegetable, protein and maybe some carbs as in pasta or rice.  There will be probably a salad later on or for lunch.  

Meeting a friend for coffee tonight.

I have been planning my Thanksgiving dinner with my family.  It was originally going to be Sunday but I have to work around my grandson's hockey schedule and now it will be on Monday.  In Canada our Thanksgiving is in October.  I might have mentioned it before but if not I might be repeating myself but my grandson's choice is a mexican dinner ya that is good for a laugh right - Thanksgiving dinner mexican food.  Every time I have my family over one person gets to pick what is their favorite meal that I make and this time it is my grandson's turn and choice.

Well done, Fran! I always have to watch the weight of my luggage as well and it can get tricky when going somewhere for a long time.

LOL for grandson. What's wrong with Mexican for Thanksgiving?! Haha. My sister is set on traditional meals for holidays, but one year her kids rebelled and said they wanted Mexican for New Years Day. So we had. And margaritas. Yummy!

Don't you just love these grand kids with their unconventional way that make our lives so unpredictable.... lol You have to wonder what my grand daughter will pick for Xmas.... lol its her turn next time unless I do another dinner in November and then that will change the order of things.

Well, my husband's family likes Italian food - lasagna and manicotti, etc. for Christmas - they aren't Italian, either! So Mexican would be a good change. My family is more traditional southern food for holidays. Country ham and biscuits, all the wonderful cakes and pies......to each their own. Have a good one!

Good morning

Yesterday was a real good day.

Great hockey game did not win but definitely they put in 125% effort and you have to give them credit for trying so hard.  The other team was a very strong team.

Going out for a walk with a friend this morning but I will have to bundle up I am already starting to feel the cooler weather. 

Food for today is definitely to be determined but I was thinking in the line of omelette, vegetable and cheese with maybe a bagel for dinner.  Not going out for breakfast with brother so thought I would incorporate it anyway into my day.  I do not have eggs too often once a week and Monday is usually my day for eggs.

Lunch not sure yet but probably something light.

I have been looking into signing up for pickleball similar to playing tennis.

So it's getting cooler there? I really like cool weather. I have added a light jacket to early morning walks, but I usually peel it off half way thru. Pickleball - that sounds interesting!

Pickleball is very similar to tennis and a bit like Paddle ball on the beach the same size of racket but bigger ball and it is on a smaller court. It does have to bounce once just like tennis before return or not. Still a very good exercise for people a little older because the court is smaller. You will build up a sweat.

Good morning

Yesterday was a great day.

Going to my grandson's hockey game today.  Have to dress up like Winter for the arena.  I can really feel the chill in there it just goes right through you.  I always bring my cushion to sit on that helps.

Food for today I am making some spaghetti squash with some spaghetti sauce and melted cheese on top.  Lots of vegetable in my spaghetti sauce I mean lots of vegetable, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and about a quarter cup of motz cheese on top and into the oven.  One of my favorite dinners and quite low in callories.   That will be dinner. 

Lunch will probably be a salad of some kind.   Just something to keep me going till dinner.

When I have to be somewhere chilly, I find using temporary heat packs can be helpful. I have Raynauds so sometimes it's an essential. I'm in the UK and don't know if they're available where you are but there are 2 kinds: 1)Disposable - like tea bags containing activatable charcoal - these get super hot and need insulation rather than going right against your skin 2) Reusable - there are thick, flexible, plastic pouches containing a gel substance and a metal disc - when you flex the disc the liquid warms up and gradually becomes solid. You can boil them so they're ready for re-use

Good afternoon

Yesterday was a very good day.

Lunch with friend excellent.  Did a few groceries at the last store I had not gone to on my way back home with my friend which ended up that he also picked up quite a few things - kill two birds with one stone.  It was unusual shopping with a man.  I usually push my own cart.... lol.  Anyway it was fun I had forgotten how much fun it is even going shopping for groceries with the opposite sex.... lol.  I read all the labels he does not definitely a subject for discussion.

Today I went out I needed desperately to by new bras got some real nice ones. 

Apart from that I will watch the golf today and just relax now.

Grocery shopping with a man - Ha! My husband and I used to do the shopping together - 26 years ago when we first got married, but that stopped soon thereafter. I enjoyed it and it takes some of the guess work out of what to have for dinner, etc. Definitely wouldn't want him to go every time, though LOL!

Good morning

Had a real good day yesterday food and water really back to my easy routine. 

Going out for lunch with friend today that is good I know the restaurant and can keep myself on track at that restaurant and not tempted to go off and do something stupid.

The weather is somewhat cool this morning.  I will not be able to wear my sandals for much longer. 

Food today regular lunch salad.

Dinner to be determined but probably vegetable and protein.

I am amazed at how I no longer snack inbetween meals I don't even know how I stopped doing that or when I stopped doing that.  The only thing I can think of is that I only eat when I am hungry and that could be how it was done but it was not a concious decision.  Who care as along as it works right.

Good afternoon

Yesterday was a great day my food was easy to pick even with my friend around.  No pressure.

Did my groceries this morning all is good the house is full of good stuff vegetables and protein and a bit of starchy stuff for a change.  I am really enjoying cooking up new stuff and trying to improve my old recipes. 

I also got myself a new dress I love dresses for summer and will bring quite a few for this winter actually more dresses then the other stuff.  I like it because one piece of clothes instead of two and you are fully dressed.  Less to pack. 

Time to relax now and take it easy and have a small nap. 

The weather is just perfect.

Going out for lunch with a friend tomorrow.
