Your entries are so positive :) I kike how u think about life - one day at a time, and maybe reaching for the apple that you can get to - and not always reaching for the stars which many times are out of reach. Not a way I used to think about life, but a good way especially now.

Good morning

Yesterday my food and water was good.

I am having anotther good day.  The weather is cooperating sun and clouds - as long as the snow stays away.  I can't believe next week we are into December.  I will weigh-in on Sunday for the end of the month in order to see my monthly wieght loss it will not be a big month of loss but at least it will not be a monthly gain.  The plateau I seem to think is holding on.  I have not weighed myself but I do not feel as if I have lost anything.  I have had plateaus last over a month so it will end when it ends.

Hi Fran :) I think with the busy holiday season, members are posting less. Thanks for your support. I have struggled with patience during several periods of my life and u are right this is going to be a big test for me. I know I can pass with flying colors if I make the effort to think more positively that this is not a lifelong chronic situation but a simple bump in the road!

Congrats with having these good days and not gaining! It can be hard to do during this season but can be achieved when you follow thru with your goals.

Good morning all

Yesterday was good food on track and water excellent.

Got all my stuff done and that is one less thing to do.  We are having one more nice day no snow a little cool but that is OK.  Any day I don't have to clean off my car is good. 

I was hopping to get to 255 by the end of November and now I am thinking that if I can get to 255 by the end of December and get over this plateau that would also be quite satisfactory.  My journey is a long one and I have given myself till next September to attain my goal which I think is reasonable.  I don't believe in putting the stress and pressure on this journey.  It is a process and it will take whatever it will take as long as I keep doing my part the rest will take care of itself. 

I am in a very relax mode today and expect to have a total vegy day and I dont mean vegetable well partly couch potato day if you want to qualify that as a vegetable.  LOL LOL

Good morning

Yesterday food and water was good.

I did not go for the oil change yesterday just got a little bit lazy.  I will attempt to do that today.  The weather has been so nice that it is pleasant to go do my errands.  I am also started making my list for the things I need to get done for xmas.  I know I am early but I am a list kind of person.  I have a few things going on and if I make my list I dont forget things.  I also enjoy knocking things off the list when they are done I guest a certain sense of accomplishment. 

I hope that all the people celebrating their Thanksgiving will have a nice and safe drive if you have to be on the roads.

Good morning guys

Yesterday food was good but water was low.


I got all my stuff done that I had to get done yesterday.  Yesterday was a nice day 19C a record for this time of the year that is about 68F.  Today will be not has warm but nice also.  I need to go and get the oil change in my car today and then my list will look more in control.

Planning to have a good day and staying on track.

The weather has been really warm here too! While it's beautiful and I'm enjoying it I would like mother nature to make up her mind haha. Do I break out the winter coat and turn on the heat or not yet? haha.

Good morning all

Yesterday was good food and water.

This is the second week that I stay the same on the scale and that is ok because for 14 weeks I had losses every week.  I probably have hit a small plateau and I will just ride it out.  I am not going to change my routine because I know that plateaus  happen and when my body is ready to start loosing again it will. 

Today I need to do some banking for my trip this Winter.  I so rarely go the actual bank it seems weird not to be able to do everyting on line.  Then I have to go the post office and mail some stuff off and since I did not go to the grocery store yesterday I will have to swing by that store.  It will be a week that is packed with quite a few to settle before my departure.  I only have one month left before I leave and in that there is Xmas and we all know how fast xmas comes once we hit the month of December.

So I just keep on doing what I am doing as far as my food plan and do what I have to do for my Winter getaway.

Hi Fran :) thanks for all your kind words. I have always gone against the grain lol so maybe that's why going with the flow is so hard for me! I wish to exercise again but just can't seem to break the cycle of pain in my legs. They probably just need more rest.

Good Morning All

Yesterday food was good and water was excellent.

It is a wonderful sunny day.  I am looking forward to the warm up this weekend and the rain which will melt the little bit of snow we have on the ground. 

Not much else going on here.  I need to do some stuff but the motivation is just not there.  I am so looking forward to just leaving that the time is dragging along.  It seems nothing else is important and it drains my motivation of doing the things I should be doing.  I know everything could wait til I got back and that is probably what is rolling inside my head instead of getting it done.

Good morning

Yesterday was not as good with food but water was excellent 10 glasses.

I am trying out new things and dicovering a few new things about myself.  I will work through these and see if I can turn some to my advantage.  The regimentation of my food is getting slightly boring.  I am just playing with it slightly and experiementing.  This journey is a long one and I do not wish to get bored so early on.  

Apart from that all the rest is good.  Nothing to get too excited about or worried about.  I still have another year ahead of me and as they say just keep on trucking.  LOL  I have decided that my journey has to be enjoyable and a period of learning.

If you're in need of some good places for healthy recipes let me know... I'm not sure what kind of diet you're trying to stick to but I feel like I've tried a bunch!

I am really not even calling it a diet. I am just eating healthy because after this period of adjustment it has to last. I had maintained for 11 years prior to my knee injury and then packed on the 80 pounds so I am just getting back to my normal. It is not as much in loosing but learning to eat healthy again and maintaining with the limitations in my exercising because of my knee injury. Thank you.

Well I think each person has a different idea of what healthy eating is... I recently read The Science of Skinny and The Omnivore's Dilemma and both have inspired me to support the real food movement. Basically no processed sugars, flours or oils. Some people though don't find it' healthy because I do eat full fat dairy products and cook with butter...they think all fat is bad, but I found these books to be very compelling. So with that said I get some really good recipes from mynewroots.org and 100daysofrealfood.com They're all about cooking with what's fresh and in season and not using anything that has an ingredient that you can't pronounce or don't know what it is. It makes sense to me!
