Good morming

Water a little low 6 glasses but food was very good again.

Finally having a sunny day. 

I did a part of my two videos yesterday the walking one and the arm exercise one not much but it is better than not doing any at all.

I have some errands to run today of course the grocery store etc etc etc..... 

Not much to report today.  All is good. Tired watch the hockey game and all the overtime periods brought me to bed real late.

Talk to you guys later or tomorrow.

Good morning

Very good day yesterday water a little low 6 glasses and food again totally on track actually was a little bit too low even for me.

I really don't understand why I really am not hungry since I got back.  I am not really complaining - it is just unfamiliar behavior.

I am up early - just could not stay in bed anymore.  I don't do the toss and turn very well - no patience for that stuff.  I don't find I get any rest just lying there I just get more frustrated that I can't sleep.  Will just have a nap this pm and all will be good.  

We are having another rain day today - two days now looking forward to getting out for some fresh air.  

My favorite soup is  french onion soup with the bread and cheese and I worked out a recipe yesterday that allows me to make it with low calories - to me that is definitely a treat.    I also have to make a batch of my cabbage recipe and then I will be set for a few days and I wont have to wonder what to eat.  I like  it when I dont have to wonder what is for lunch and dinner - having my meal prepared ahead of time makes a big difference.

I'm always amazed when I eat pizza or takeout food or anything high in sugar and carbs how it doesn't fill me up. And also how hungry I am just a few hours after eating. It's possible now that you've gone back to healthy foods that your body is just feeling full and satisfied - as it should. It's good news in any case, and fantastic that you've come up with a low-cal version of the french onion soup!

i was just talking about when i eat takeout food, pizza, bad snacks, etc i never really feel satisfied and i literally crave sugar/carb foods one hour later! when i'm eating the right foods that doesn't happen.

RYC: I think that's great--anytime you can get some activity it's a good thing! Do what you can and try to build. If you just don't feel like it one day for whatever reason, try to start again the next day.

I keep my progress for exercise in a little notebook these days. (I did the same with food for years too.) I used to track everything on fitday.com (like fitnesspal). I quit counting calories like that religiously a few years ago, but it's good to see what's going on from time to time. It's still a good thing for me to write my food, though I haven't been very diligent lately with that.

good morning

Water right on 8 glasses and yes another great food day.

The fact that I have been able to keep my food in tack really makes me feel great.  I am not going to make a big deal about it because I will be disappointed if I fall off.  I have a God given period of grace and I am grateful. 

I have been using the calculator and I find it is a wonderful tool for keeping track of the food.  It has even made me reconsider eating or not eating certain things.  I find that when it is right in your face the calories, fats and carbs you tend to think is it worth all of those calories or could I find something else that I would be as happy with and feel that I am not depriving myself.   I do not use the blog on that site I strictly use it to count calories and enter my weight.  I also use it to see how much my recipes contain in calories and how many days I can use it for.  You do not have to register the food and if you do you can take it off - but it tell me exactly how many calories in some of my made up recipes.

Everybody on this site has such a busy life - I am starting to think that my life is way too quiet.  I would never be able to keep up with you guys but sure wish I could find a way of plugging into your energy levels.  LOL

I love using MyFitnessPal for that reason. I can plot out my calories for the day and make choices based on what I can and can't afford. I've had several occasions in the past week where I've stopped myself from going off course because of the calculator. I hope you have a great day!

Good morning all

Yesterday was real good again.  Water 7 Glasses and Food excellent.


Thank God I have been good in the last week that I am back because the scale tell me that I still have 5 more pounds to take off from my holiday.  I told you guys it was a really good holiday and I had been a very bad girl. LOL  See I dont lie the scale backs up my statement. LOL 

Its ok it was a wonderful two weeks away.  These kids do not cook most of the time.  Soccer night twice a week so they have to be on the field by 6:15 pm so it is a take out night.  Friday night is celebrate the week is over and that is a take out night.  My brother comes over and they say we will just order in.  It sure is nice to make the bucks and be able to order in 3 to 4 time a week.  Kids you got to love them.  I wonder if their savings account is as well funded as the take out places.  LOL 

Ok so I have my work cut out for me.  I am amazed at how not hungry I am lately.  Well lets not question that lets just be grateful.

Good morning

Water low 7 glasses but food was perfect again.

Will probably eat my Puddy cabbage today.  I made it yesterday and have enough for two more days.  I am definitely having a moment of grace from food.  That I am grateful for.

Did anybody look at the hockey game yesterday.  It will be fun to watch the Stanley Cup with two teams from the original 6 from many many many years ago. 

I really have nothing to say today - had a hard time falling asleep last night after the game so I am a little sluggish this morning.

Good morning all

Water right on track 8 glasses and food excellent again.

I dont know what it is but it seems to be going real good since I have come back.  Nothing like being a bad girl on food for two weeks to put you back on track.  I dont even get hungry.  Miracle.


      2 coffees with cream

B - cereal and 2% milk

L -  Romain lettuce, cheese shredded, chicken 5 oz, Italien dressing low cal

D - 2oz of chicken with cheese and beets

snack before bed cereal and milk


We are having a wonderful sunny day again.  No real plans for the day except pick up some stuff I ordered from Sears.  I also have to go to the store and buy a new pair of slippers mine have just had it.  It is like wearing open toe sandles so used but still comfy but look like hell. LOL  

Would love to get some kind of exercise in today's schedule.  Maybe do the walking and the arm exercise today from the video.  Of course doubt I can do it all but anything is better than nothing.  So I get a few minutes of the 7 min. arm exercise and 15 minutes of the 43 min. walking video.  I would definitely be happy with that.

I love the arm video, did it for months before I added the wrist weights and that makes it REALLY hard.

Enjoy your sunny day. Maybe you can walk outdoors for your exercise?

I hope you get in your exercise--sometimes hard to start, but once you get into it there's very little downside!

RYC: Haha--I haven't been constipated in years. If I miss one day without a BM--I can just go sign up for a room at the Loony Bin. Seriously, that book changed my life--I had been on a tetracycline and ended up with chronic constipation (I was in my early 20s). Ever since then bran has been my lifesaver.

Beautiful day today Sunny and Warm

I have really enjoyed being back on the DD site.  I missed not being able to post every day.

Yesterday's food

Salad with chicken and Low cal dressing

popcorn for snack

Rice/chicken/cheese and Beets

popcorn for snack

Hopefully my efforts will show up on Monday.  All I am hoping for is not to be too far off from my previous weight.  I would not mind a small increase because I know that I am totally decided to continue eating better. 

I have another little getaway to my friends place coming up around middle of next week.  I promised that I would go paint his outside and garage doors for him.  Believe me far safer to let me paint then him. LOL  I probably would put more paint on the doors than he would.  He wears most of the paint. LOL

Good morning

Another good day yesterday water was 7 glasses and food was perfect again. 


salad with chicken and shredded cheese with low cal salad dressing

snack bowl of cereal/milk

I did have a hard time falling asleep last night - might just be because I watched the hockey game Boston/Phil and it ended up with two extra perioda of overtime.  I went to bed real late.  Tossed and turned - up at 4:00 a.m. then back to bed at 6:30 and back up at 8:30.  It will definitely be a day where I will need a nap later in the afternoon.

We are having a nice bright sunny day  - rain forecast for later this week and weekend.  

Apart from all this all is good.  Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Had a wonderful day yesterday 7 glasses of water and food was perfect.  I was not hungry I ate because I knew I had to eat.  I sure wish that was the case all the time. 

Today is a cloudy day and have to get out and do some errands - back to my routine.  I had emptied the house of everything before I left.  Time to stock up.

Good morning guys

It is good to be back.  I am back to my routine.  Yes I have been a bad girl while I was away.  Hard to eat well when other people plan the meals.  So I am home and back to doing things in a better way.  I will be weighing in next Monday. 

I went to see my brother in law while I was in Ottawa and it was certainly a hard thing to do.  It is fine going in but was really hard to leave knowing that I will never see him again.  He is definitely a great man and is doing it in a very graceful way and leaving us with lots of fun memories.  We have had soo much fun together and I mean real fun.  That is what I will remember most about him.  The joy of living.  Enough about the sad part about my trip.

My grandkids are certainly active and tire me out just watching them run back and forth - I guess once you have been out of that environment for as long as I have you wonder how you ever coped with all the noise. LOL LOL.  They certainly have their own little characters.  Some good some bad LOL .

Sorry to hear about your Brother-in-Law. He sounds like one of the Good Guys, and is going out with a great amount of dignity. I'm sure he is a Great example for the people that know him.

RYC: I'm not sure how detailed/faithful my entries were to what's in the book. As soon as I can, I'll put up what's in the book. I was able to stick to it for that period of time fairly well.

It has a unique "cheat list"--don't know if I included that at some point.
