Good Sunday Morning

All is good water on track and food on track.

I will be soo happy once all my cleaning is done from these repairs.  I cannot believe how much dust travels.  My legs are just driving me crazy (in pain).  It must be done.  I have till next Tuesday to get it done because the guy comes back and we start working on the kitchen cabinets.  Another mess for another week. LOL  

Enough complaining - thank you for letting me vent. 

I am quite happy with my food.  It might just have something to do with the work I am doing.  Working more eating less LOL LOL .  Keeping busy always seems to help in that respect.  

Tomorrow is weigh-in day -  I am hoping that I will touch the 240ish something.   That would be really nice but if not that is ok also.  I have 1/3 of the way done not the time to get discouraged.  Things are working out all right.

Good morning all

All is good water 9 glasses and food on track.

I made up a new recipe yesterday.  Of course it has cabbage because I just love cabbage.

2 cups of cooked rice (cooked rice with curry powder - 1tsp and  1 echalotte-onions) (340 cal - 0 fats - 72 carbs)

3 cups of shredded cabbage pre-steamed nice and tender (120 cal - 0 fats - 12 carbs)

2 chicken breast no skin all lean  broiled ( 220 cal - 4 fats - 0 carbs) Sliced it for my stir fry

Put all ingredients into a pan with 1/4 cup of broth and let simmer for a little while with lid - really just to warm it all up.

This is good for two meal - 680 cal divided by two 340 per meal and only 2 fats and 42 crbs per meal.  Really filling and it leave a lot of cal left for other meals in the day. 

Anyway thought I would share for those who love curry and cabbage.

Having a good day.  I have to finish clean the mess today of the repair - slowly getting it back together.  Spring cleaning.  Having another bright sunny day and it will be 2 today which is about  low 30s.  Great improvement.

The receipe sounds good. I do love cabbage, too. I have been getting a coarse slaw mix to make salad, but I have been thinking about cooking it with some spices and things and eating it warm, that way. Lots of ideas now.

Good morning all

I am finally up.  It is 11:00 am here.  I slept in.  Amazing.

My water is really on track 12 glasses and food is also on track.  Sound like a promising week.

Did too much yesterday.  I hate it when I keep everything to be done and then I decide today is the day - then there is no stopping me.  The result of a day like that is usually two days down after lol lol. 

Just starting on my coffee late in the day.  Breakfast will be at about 2:PM  so I guess will skip Lunch and go directly to dinner after that early evening.  Well what can I say day started off weird will end up weird. LOL  

We are having a nice sunny day and I think it is a little bit milder because the people I see out there don't seem to be all bundled up in their parkas and look quite happy to take their time.    I do need to go out and do some errands but I will put it off to tomorrow I have enough stuff to get me through to tomorrow.

Good morning all

I had 14 glasses of water yesterday.  I must have eaten something that was extremely salty but this is very unusual for me to want to drink so much - especially if I have not been golfing and looking forward to the 19th hole.  LOL.  My food is good and am on track.

It is nice to see we are getting some new members.  All I have to say about that is the more we are the more advice and ideas we get.   Before blogging I read all the entries and fround Raven's welcome to "soitgoes" soo right on mark.  It is exactly how I felt after I joined this group.  

I can't believe we are still getting snow today.  Man I have just about had it.  Tomorrow I have to get out to go to the grocery store.  I have been managing but today is the last day of surviving with what I have in the house. 

I have had the sniffles for the past few days and have not really felt like overeating.  The guys that was fixing my bathroom hurt his back with the darn snow cleaning at his house and as called off the repair for this week.  My house will be a mess for another week. 

On the positive side of all my stories - I am happy to be here with all of you.  Like Joyce Meyers says I am not where I want to be  but thank God I am not where I was a few months ago and for that I am grateful today.

Definitely hydrated. At one point my stomach sounded like a barrel of water. LOL It must have been the cold cuts that were so salty. I usually do not use salt except what is already in the food. Today will be not as much water I am sure.

I found that making myself drink extra water makes me crave water a lot. So I don't even go anywhere without a bottle of water. Have an amazing day and hope your snow disappears soon.

Yesterday was a good day.  All is good.

I got up early because I wanted to watch the inauguration mass of Pope Francis.  He is such a simple man. 

Today we are getting 20cm of snow which is about 8 inches.  When is it going to stop.  Maybe this will be our last storm.  I certainly hope so.  We have mountains of snow in our parking lot from the clean of the lot.

Needless to say it will be another stay in day.  I do have to go out and get some food soon because I am getting low on everything.  We all know when things get low and the options are narrowed we start thinking what can I invent  and sometimes - well at least for me - that is not always healthy stuff all the time.

Well that is about all that is new in this part of the world.  I wish you all a good day.

I also agree with OhioRaven; great choice for Pope. I like the lifestyle he's been leading up to this point and I really like the name that was chosen for him. It will be interesting to see what direction he takes the Vatican in the future.

Good morning

A wonderful day down 1.8 lbs.  Water good  and food on track.

My hope was to have lost something after the week that started off so bad.  I am quite proud about getting back on track.  This is not easy. 

My next challenge is to hit the 240s.  It is nice when we leave a number behind. 

Thank you for all your help.  I am starting week 10 of my journey and would not want to take this journey with anybody else then you guys.  You are all wonderful.

Good morning all

Yesterday was perfect water and food right on track.  I feel much better than earlier this week. 

Tomorrow is weigh-in day and I feel confident that I will have a positive result - might not be as big if I had been good all week.

I have to admit it has been a very hard week.  I have learned a lot from this binge.  It far more affect me mentally then physically.

We are having a beautiful sunny day.  It is quite cool outside and Spring does not seem to be coming fast enough.  We did get a little bit of snow during the night but today is sunny and that is a bonus.

Today I have to clean out my washroom because the repair man is coming to fix the ceiling due to the leak from the condo above me.  It will be a mess for a few days then the sanding dust will be the other mess I will have to clean up.  That fine dust gets into everything even if you try to contain it.   Next week will be busy.  That is good it will give me projects and take my mind off food.

I hope you all have a great day and for those who have a weigh-in tomorrow and there are a few of us I wish you all the best.  We will touch base tomorrow.

Good for you getting back on track. Hope your weigh in is encouraging. I know what you mean about house in a mess with workmen. Ours are coming back tomorrow to finish up the new heating system.

Good for you realizing the mental price you pay. First step - take the guilt and shame out of any food choice. I have found that this makes healthier choices a lot easier-not the other way around, surprisingly - think about it and let me know what you think. Also - regarding the dry wall dust from the bathroom repair - we made them tape a plastic sheet around the door to keep the amount of dut down in the rest of the house and it helped tremendously.

Thank your for the tip. That is exactly what I have planned for around the bathroom door. I agree about the guilt and shame. It really plays the worst trick on us.

it was sorta mandatory - my boss asked, so you feel bad when you say no. most people don't say no. i have changed my mind on this...and i am going to change some of my actions at work completely. i cannot work those hours again. it was horrible!

Good Morning

I had a wonderful day my water on track 9 glasses and my food definitely totally back on track.

It took 3 full days to detox my body from the foods that I had cheated with.  Amazing how long sucres and white stuff stay and make you crave  more of it.  Yesterday was the first day that I had no cravings and that I did not have any of the "stinking thinking" during my day.  I am so happy that i stuck it out and held on.  Thank you guys you got me through another hard time.  I have to admit I feel better about my weigh-in on Monday.  I do not know what it will be but it will definitely not be as bad as it would have been had not gotten this under control. 

I so have to walk the line and think twice before I do anything that is destructive.  I get into such a fog when my cravings come that I see or hear nothing else and it is just such a crazy time.  The out of control feeling is the worst.  The disappointment follows.

Ah, I get that fog thing. Part of the "trick" is mindfulness. I do the same thing, but I call it not paying attention" but it is the same "foggy feeling" you are talking about, I think. Let the fog lift and it's not telling what we can do!

Good morning

I am back on track water 8 glasses have to trying to up that.  My last glass was definitely forced intake.  My food is back on tract and the struggle is much better.  I feel my body is detoxing from all the stuff I put into it.

I also feel a little bit sluggish like Raven today.  It will definitely be a relax day for me.  I think it is because of the stress of this week - RE THE FOOD.  I have noticed that slipping back into my bad habits is easy but getting back on track is much harder every time I screw up.  I have to get it into my head that if I keep on doing this there will be a time where I will screw up and might not be able to recover from the slip.  Is it worth taking these chances.

We are getting snow again today.  I wonder when this Winter is going to end eventhough they say Spring will soon be here.  Spring might be coming in somewhere but certainly not here.  It has been a very long Winter.  I need to be able to get out of this house soon without having to think about the weather.

We've had an extremely mild Winter here in Montana. I think I've only had to shovel twice and even then they weren't bad.

Today is going to be a down day for me also. I'm feeling a little sore and worn out. Thought about skipping the gym last night and start the rest a day early, but forced myself to go anyway.

Hey, Puddy. I got a BIG water bottle I keep at my desk. When its done, I've had enough. Some days I can finish before I go home. Sometimes not. I struggle on the weekends though, cause its not in front of me. Hope you get some warmer weather and get out of the house soon. Take care, Puddy :v)

Yes, that is my cycle, isn't it - hard to get started and then a period where it feels good and then slipping back into the old habits. Then all over again. I wish I could just skip the slipping back part! I know it can be done. I don't understand why I don't do it, though.

It's so very easy to backslide and so frustrating. Just keep getting back on track and reminding yourself what the benefits are when you get to your goal. Can be hard to stay motivated, but we just have to. Enjoy your weekend.
