Were gonna try to break the plateua. Really really hard! Did a 45 minute workout this morning and gonna do another hour cardio this evening with some weights. ALSO gonna eat realllly clean today. Very low carb too. Hopefully it works! Any advice is welcome!!

ALSO! I got the job! I don't know when I move to Illinois.....but I'm DEFINITELY gonna write a blog about my living around the country (From NY - to PA - to WY - to DC - to NC - and now to IL). I guess my new title is Geographer (Emergency Prepardness).....so I do mapping for natural disasters. Should be interesting! Also! Its with the Army, so zach can transfer to the Marine detach unit after he goes to afghan :D :D :D :D Yay for less time apart!!

B (530) - Fiber 1 bar

S (9) - Carrot sticks

L (12) - Subway sandwich (Turkey, whole wheat, pepper jack, spinach, tomatoe, black olives, pickles, yellow mustard)

D (6) - Stir fry rice, peppers, onions, chicken and kale (130.8 at this moment after eating)

G (730-930) Exercise = 45 min cardio (morning), hour cardio (maybe mostly running?), weight training....

CONGRATS!!! Sounds like a great plan to incorporate Zach into the work plan! What part of Chicago will you be? I lived in Lake Zurich and worked in Palatine (Northwest suburbs) for 7 months after Katrina. I still like to visit, but the winters are WAY too cold for this southern girl!

As for the Arck trainer... I'm sure you don't look as silly as you think! But I'm very similar when it comes to the elipitical...I just don't have the coordination to pull it off. But, I really to love this thing!

Today shall be some clean eating since I realllly need to break this plateua. The closer I get to my goal weight, the harder it gets :/ SO, no more pb after today :( , no more pretzels or tortilla chips...and no more sugary stuff....Well see how this goes!

B = Toast, PB (wah, finished the last of it), greek vanilla yogurt

S = Carrots + yogurt pretzels ( :( )

L = Slice of homemade pizza (turned out to be a good light lunch!)

S = Fiber 1 bar

D = Grilled Chicken and kale chips

Exercise = Hour of Cardio, Arms (didnt do yesterday)...Gonna bring it!!

Good morning all!

I really do appreciate all of your comments about zach. Its hard, but we'll coming out swinging :) I only have 2 weeks left till he comes home from arizona and I am beyond excited. Lets see if I can put a two good weeks of exercise in!

Today I hopefully find out about the army corps job. Ill let yall know what happens!

Heres to a good monday! I've got work, homework, gym, and clean eating on my list!

B (6) - Slice toast, pb, half apple (100+110+200 = 420)

S (9) - Greek Yogurt + pretzels (maybe 200) 

L (12) - Carrot sticks, celery, other half apple veggie soup (120 + 100 = 220)

S (3) - 5 yogurt pretzels (19 x 5 = 95) 

G (6-7) - Hour of cardio, arms and abs

D (730) - Talapia w/ kale chips = 400

Total = 420 + 200 + 300 + 100 + 400 + 100 = 1500. good!

You know those days where you don't eat enough for dinner and then you wake up starving? Oh yeah, my body just turned on because of it. I guess I have an hour less of sleep but thats okay cause I can write to all of you about the stuff that has been going on! 

First, the interview is with the Army Corps of Engineers. The location is right outside of Chicago (LOL, yes V - Chicago) and I would be doing oh so lovely skills of Cartography for their Emergency Management department....basically in the interview they told me I would be head of tornado mapping in the mississipi valley region. Needless to say, I will be so excited if I get the job because.....well...I've always wanted to do that lol. We find out on monday if I get the job or not.....

Now, my dear dear hubby. My one and only honey bunch zach lol. Based on the photos I show there is nothing wrong...and there IS nothing wrong with us. But he has a somewhat strong PTSD. He gets a lot of nightmares, lashes out in anger for no reason, and blames himself for a lot of little mistakes. He usually asks me between 5-6 times a day if he a good person, if he will be a good dad one day, that hes sorry for being a bad husband, he's sorry he can't take care of me....etc. I've become really good at knowing when he gets in his depression slumps, but since he is in arizona and can't be with me all the time....its been a real struggle for him.  He doesn't want his command to know, because for some....odd....reason....he still wants to go to afghanistan in January. Why?  I don't know. Maybe its that call of duty/ their passion and feel that they are only doing their job there. If it was up to me, he wouldn't go because a year in afghan totally frightens me about what he will be like in January 2014. Anyway, he has been a bit suicidal over there and I had to tell his unit sgts that he wanted to do some bad things.  They have him on a watch and he needs to speak to a doctor everyday that he is in arizona. They also want to put him on some antidepressents, but knowing him, he will just spit them out. We'll be okay. I just feel for my poor knight sometimes :(

I have some soul searching that needs to be done. I haven't lost the weight fast, but my mind still thinks I'm at 170. Even after all this time, I still see the same person in the mirror and it worries that when I do reach my goal...I will still see a larger version and want to keep going. We will see.

B (530) - PB, Toast (2), and full bananna

S (830) - Pretzels? Yogurt? = Yogurt pretzels yum :)

L (1230) - Mini chic fil a sandwiches (2) + fruit salad + small bowl of padtai

S (330) - Pretzels

D (??) - TBD

Exercise = Catching up on some sleep and possibly a small run

Oh my goodness Sara, you've been going through some major stuff. I think you made the right call in telling Zach's unit sergeants about the situation and I hope they will treat it appropriately. Hugs to you, it must be difficult being on the other side of the country with this going on. The job sounds great for you, I hope you get it!

First let me thank you for the vote of condfidence, especially when I read all the troubles that you are currently facing. It is so selfless of you to be able to be there for others in what really seems like a time of need for you. So thank you.

I wish you the best of luck on the job front, I so very much know how you feel when you're searching for the right job that you feel passionate about. With regards to your husband, I am so so sorry to hear what a hard time he is going through. I can only imagine how difficult it is to have him on the other side of the country, when you need him hear to put a smile on his face. I think you did the right thing reaching out to those around him since you cannot be there yourself. I hope they see that Afghanistan is not the place for him right now, no matter how much he feels he should or needs to be there.

Sara, you did the right thing by alerting Zach's unit about his PTSD. That disorder is very deep and he needs to be with people who understand. And sometimes medication is necessary to keep him on an even keel. He has done a very selfless act by protecting his country and laying his life out there to help others. He truly is a knight in shining armor. I hope you get the Chicago job. One of my best friends works for the Army Corp of Engineers here in New Orleans. And congrats on your loss again. Don't worry about the Sara in the mirror - know that you are healthier than you were at 170. Mirrors and minds play tricks. At 177 I did not see a fat me, but in pictures I saw it. I should have done something earlier but I think I had a reverse mind game going. I used to watch these shows where these young girls who were anorexic looked in the mirror and really thought they were fat. I don't know how they saw that, because they were just a bag of bones. Not toned and muscle bones, just untoned skin and bones. I looked in the mirror (around 150 pounds) and thought I looked healthy. Well every 2 pounds a year that I gained, I didn't see it. My long point is don't get caught up on the mirror image, enjoy eating healthy and fueling that beautiful body and exercising to keep it running well. I hope Zach comes home instead of Afghanistan and you can start your young married life with a plan! Know that you have many friends keeping y'all in their prayers! There is no doubt that I have body dysmorphia. At 128 pounds (and I'm a tall girl) I still thought I was fat until a boss called me in and told me he was worried about me. I never saw the skinny girl with the ribs protruding and concaved stomach. Then what happens?? I gain loads and loads of weight and I don't see the fat girl until I see a photo of myself. So weird.

Good Morning all! 

All I have is this short part of my assignment due (I think I can totally get it done by 10pm) and I can relax!!

The interview went great!!! I find out on Monday if I get the job and then......I guess its off to Illinois! My life is turning out to be one big adventure.....I think Ill end up writing a blog about it LOL. It shall be called something like  "The Cowboy Boot Convert".....I think the title explains it all ahahahah

I have to take a sleep test today and I have no idea what that means.......but ill update about it later. I'll also update about zach.............not good update on him :(

 My anxiety is at an alltime high today! URG lots of stress....My proctor for my exam still hasnt emailed me when I need to take the midterm and its due tomorrow! I need to get my car registered and I have a job interview on wednesday that Im not ready for AND I have an assignment due thursday night.....Lord have mercy Friday can't come soon enough but it also can wait!

Awesome Sara!!!! Keep up the good work! I get nervous about ordering clothes - I like to try things on. In fact, I hate to take the time to try things on which is why I never have any clothes!!! I pulled out my jeans from last year and had to seriously belt them!! And my girls made fun of me for wearing them like that. But I needed them for work. I will have to buy some new jeans. Maybe that will be this weekend's project. Have a great day!
