Greak weekend of working out and eating right! So much so that I literally had to wake up twice last night because I guess my body was super hungry. Meh, it happens sometimes.

Weigh in results? No change in the scale, but im pretty sure ive lost some inches. Which is good, since that means I'm gaining muscle. BUT im not too worried since I sent zach a photo of my progress in a dress I found for an upcoming wedding and his reaction: 

"haha, so a lot of people are looking at me right now. i saw your picture and apparently let out a pretty loud, "wow" haha...whoops lol. you look great kid, honestly." < Who would care about the scale after that 

Speaking about the boy, the marine corps found out he has heart disease....which really scares the crap out of me, since he never told me he "lied" to the marine corps about it (A "OOPS...I thought I told you back when I applied that I kept it hush hush...OOOPS :D").... When he comes home we are doing the whole works for his heart business (he had a minor heart attack when he was 17 and they STILL let him into the marine corps, i do not know how....). Anyway, I need to start reading about heart conditions and healthy foods to make him....Athletic wise, he's perfect. Has 10% bf and all that...just his heart gives me trouble :/ Poor kid.

I slept terribly last night. SO i have a feeling tonight is gonna be an early one. ALSO! RESTARTING INSANITY! Yes.....might as well right? Lets see if I can actually stick to it....Did day 1/60 whoo hoo haha. I really want that shirt.

We are also saying goodbye to lunchtime yoga and stuff that requires extra $$ to be spent. One of my closet friends lost her job and her husband is like Zach, just go out of the Marine Corps. SO they are both jobless. We promised to help them out since they helped us out and thats what friends are for. SO for the meantime, its gonna be yoga videos on youtube at home...which is fine by me

*Insanity, Fit test day

B (7) - Fiber 1 cereal (1 cup), 2 tsp peanut butter, 4 strawberries, 1/4 cup blueberries, 1 cup almond milk, 1/4 cup oats

S (10) - Apple and almonds

L (1) - Vanilla greek yogurt, 1/2 cup bluberries, 1stp peanut butter, cinnamon, and some honey, w/ some oats

S (330) - String cheese and some carrots sticks

*Gym = Hour of cardio and arms and abs 

D (7) - Tuna, black beans, mushrooms, spinach, hot sauce, tomatos, and a whole wheat tortilla w/ some lactose free cheddar cheese (meh, doesnt taste the same sadly as the real deal) 

*nighttime yoga and then bed! 

 

Progress as of today - 33.2 lbs lost so far, only 11.8 lbs to go!

Waking up hungry stinks, but... It usually means your body is ready for a loss! Good luck on sticking with the insanity! I know you can do it!!!!

Not sure what kind of lactose free cheese you got, but when I was eating vegan last year, I found this vegan cheese called Daiya... It comes shredded and in blocks and it is the closest to the real thing I have ever experienced... Maybe its a little better? I hear you though, nothing like the real thing!!

That is very scary about Zach!! I think the fact that he is in great shape athletically definitley is a good thing in terms of heart health... Also, if he can adopt your diet when he comes home it will be helpful as well!

You are kicking butt, and what a nice reaction from Zach! :) That is definitely scary about hear disease. Mine has high cholesterol and he's agreed to try my new diet with me. I think even cutting back on the animal proteins and fats can make a difference with heart disease, so you could start out small and see if there's any improvement. It definitely helps to do this with someone else - I would have done it alone anyway, but I'm glad to have the hubby's support. Your foods look amazing today!

Hey so you know Shaun T and his "Shauntourage" started Insanity today as well..If you are not on his fb fan page well you should do it today..That will def keep you motivated in a big support group like that, in fact Friday he asked everyone to post their before shots on his page :) Man I so wish I was doing it with you and the rest of the Insaniacs but I am on week 4 of the 8 week Asylum 1 and 2 program..I am with YOU guys but a different program..LOL Have you seen Shaun T with hair yet? He is still hella sexy but I like him better with a shaved head ;) Anyhoo I want you to have that shirt, it is a badge of honor <3

LOL I am glad you feel the same way..I a, so hoping he shaves it after his Bday(which is why he is doing the Insanity program cause he says he wants to look hot for his day :) Hahahaha I guess he doesn't realize how hot he is right NOW!

You are doing good. Keep at it. Sorry to hear about BF he will have to be careful and make sure he takes care of himself. He is very young for heart attacks but the good thing is that he is aware of it and he can do something about it. Take care have a good day.

Yeah, with a reaction like that from Mr handsome I would not worry a bit about the silly scale!The heart issue is scary, hopefully it is all manageable and won't cause any problems. Good job exercising!

TGIF! Ah, i needed this day for so long. This week mentally drained me!

As suggested by V, Im gonna cut all carbs after 3 out of my diet...so adios popcorn and bread at dinner. Maybe this will switch things up. Took my measurements today - nothing really changed :/ SO, this month will be taking all that I learned this past month and adjusting the diet. Also, switching up the breakfast too (since its usually my biggest meal). Gonna try to eat something small when I wake up and then breakfast here at the office.

Other than that, not much else is going on. Mr. handsome got switched to a new shift, so his work schedule is 2am-1030 am....which means that if I wanna talk to him through email at that time, its gonna be to me "Ok Sara, get up and do morning cardio!". Early bed, early up. Which is fine by me since I can sneak in 2 workouts :)

Im gonna try to stick to the every 3 hour rule, but ive brought extra snacks in case I do get hungry.

(Self note: Buy this weekend greek yogurt, peanut butter, fresh produce, beer bread ingredients (for zach))

OH! and monthly accountability photo! It looks like its working? idk ahah but i feel good! Thats what counts :)

B (7) - Oatmeal, cinnamon, banana, and 1 egg white

S (10) - Apple and nuts

L (1230) - Frozen veggies, spinach, and baked salmon and celery sticks

S (3) - Cucumbers and carrots w/ hummas + 2 cheese sticks (100 cal)

*Gym - Hour of cardio and some strength training

D (7) - TBD

Now wait I said starches..LOL Even some of your veggies and protein has carbs in them but I get what you are saying, hahahaha ;) Hopefully this will give your metabolism a shove but i have to say that you are looking really healthy and fit at your current weigh IMO..I LOVE the boots too!! Hey if you still have your Insanity nutrition guide you should peruse it for meal ideas..There are alot of good recipes in there..Have a great weekend <3

Hello and happy Thursday(soon to be Friday!! ) I experiment all the time with switching up times for certain foods, in fact Asylum's nutrition plan suggests not to eat starches after 3 pm..I would love to try this however it is impossible to eat 6 meals a day with my hectic work schedule..Anyhoo I am sure that you will find a happy medium..Have a great evening!

Yay got my wish for snow....However, i still have to go to work.....bummer....Unless I get to work and no one is there. I'll bring my gym clothing just in case. 

Slept a mediocre 6 hours last night. Still kinda tired this morning, but Ill make sure I get enough water in today. Could help a little. 

Didn't end up doing weights last night due to the fact that I wa tired. Got some good cardio in, but today strength training is a must........Even with all this snow! Im sure the gym is open

Also, how is it almost March already????

Welll crap...forgot my protein at home. Looks like a very veggie day. Try to find protein somewhere (and not the bad kind either ;) ) im sure the menu will change

B (7) - Oatmeal, some pb, cinnamon, banana

S (10) - Apple + homemade popcorn

L (12) - Veggies and hummas and some carrots

S (2) - Left over carrots + hummas + String cheese (YAY! Lactose free and YAY for finding protein!)

S (4) - Homade popcorn + string cheese

* Gym - Cardio and legs, abs, and butt 

D (7) - Ezekiel bread (2 slices), chicken burger w/ 1 egg on top and some bean sprouts w/ a little honey mustard. (Weird combo but kinda worked!)

Lots of protein in hummus, and good for you for finding some cheese to add to it! Too bad you still had to go in to work today even though it snowed. I would love it if we got a snow day during the winter here, but we're too... acclimated to heading out in freezing weather and snow storms ;)

I love love LOVE the fact that the more I work out, the more I can eat. OMGosh I love food. Hahahah. I seriously think Ive never eaten more in my entire life than I do at this point...which is great since Im maintaining/losing weight slowly.

Got Zach's homecoming date! I cant tell you the exact date but heres a clue: Take Independence day, add a month and 4 days. LOL. Thats my deadline to sexiness :D Though he already thinks im all that and a bag of chips - rolls eyes -

I did some plyometrics last night with Shaun T and I didn't wear sneakers while doing the dvd....that was a mistake so no Insanity tonight, just good ol' elliptical and bike.

Its "suppose" to snow here today...but so far weve been missing the good stuff. I hope this is NOT the case....since I like in an apartment, have a garage, and could potentially get off work hahaha. I guess Mother Nature will let us know.

By the way (sorry gents that read this), Mother Nature has decided to not come this month again. The trend is every other month. July, Sept, Nov, Jan, March?I just hope it doesnt screw me over when I do wanna get pregnant :/

My sister just called me and asked me "how do I lose weight....without changing my diet". She eats very poorly...and she was this tiny little thing growing up and I ALWAYS weighed at least 50 lbsmore than here (when we were 14, she weighed 85 and I weighed 180...yeahhh...100 lbs difference!) Now that were older, she loves bagels and chips and calorie dense food...and I dont lol. So convincing her to change her diet will be tough! BUT im up for the challenge :) 

Thats it for now, will update later! OH! and my body "requires" me to eat every 2 hours now...or else I get dizzy and lightheaded. Anyone else?

Glad you have a date to shoot for Zach's return! Why is sweet potato a no no for you? Baked sweet potato is the only safe "potato" I can have on sugar busters. It does not affect the glycemic index like the white starchy version. And supposedly its sweetness is not a bad effect either. I bake them and top them with butter or now, I just eat them as is - skin and all! Have a great day and take care of your feet!

Yay lost 0.2 lbs this week! lol. Like i said before, Im okay with taking this extremely slow since I began lifting whatnot. As long as the trend keeps up, ill be happy.

Anyone else watch the oscars? Oh their dresses....So glamourous, so beautiful, and probably so expensive hahah. To act well though is a great talent and some of the oscar winners really deserve it! 

Anywho, today is monday which means fresh start this week. Its gonna snow massively tomorrow so I hope I can still get to the gym (hopefully a snow day too? NAH were grown ups...snow days dont actually happen lol)

B (7) - Banana, oatmeal, almond milk, peanut butter

S (10) - Apple and almonds

L (12) - Bell pepper and hummas

S (2) - Edamame + 4 cups homemade popcorn

Your menu looks great! I never understood why the kids got a snow day and no one else did! It doesn't snow here but once every 10 or so years and when it does EVERYONE gets off. That could be because we don't know how to drive in snow which makes it really dangerous. Be careful and keep up the good work!

RYC - Ha! You watched Forks Over Knives too? It was pretty eye-opening for me, and I have to think to myself - why wouldn't I give it a try if it means i'll decrease my chances of cancer and heart disease? Worth it to me!!!

Congrats on the loss and kicking butt in general! I forgot to mention in my entry that I watched Forks Over Knives over the weekend. Certainly gives us a lot to think about and I already told hubby when I'm on my feet we'll be eating even less meat and dairy and way more plants and grains :)

Same thing, new day! Gonna push myself really hard this weekend to see If I can get out of this 127-129 plateau....which means really really clean eating. I can elimate peanuts from the "no" list which is good! I definitely think though its mainly the gluten and dairy, but so far so good!

S (10) - Carrots and hummus

* Maybe lunchtime gym? Its a possibility....(1130-1230?)...ended up being 15 min cardio? id say burned about 100? Not enough for a full workout! Decided that i cant do lunchtime full workout...not enough time sadly...

L (1245-1) - Veggies and veggie burger w/ hummus 

S (230) - Homemade popcorn

D/S (430) - Edamame

*Gym = Hour of cardio, legs, abs, butt, anythign I can think of since its friday and my usual kill it day at the gym! Flex Friday!

Happy thursday all!

I havent been sticking to my doctor's request and I can feel the ickiness coming back. Guess Im gonna have to work on it....gonna try to be clean today....Also, tonight...bed by 10 pm...Yep.

Were suppose to get a couple of inches of snow and a little birdy told me we MAY even get off tomorrow and leave early, which i wouldnt mind at all!! HA

ALSOOOO yesterday this random girl came up to me and said that shes been watching me and that Ive been making major progress on my strength training. Gave me a little bit of an ego boost

L (1) - Chicken Veggie burger and carrots and cucumber

That's awesome that someone noticed your progress! I remember a guy came up to me one day in the gym and was pretty impressed with how hard I was working out; that was a long time ago when I actually lifted for about a month or two as part of a running program. I sure felt good about being noticed for my strength! Good on you! Have a good one today :)

Update: THIS IS IT. THE LAST ONE EVER (ok....maybe not ever) but Im gonna try! It is a real life obsession. No joke. If I could I probably could drink 12 a day no problem. Its terrible. Gotta kick it to the curb! 

SO! Since my pretty big eating last night and pretty big eating this morning, the rest of the day will be light (hopefully).....and gonna work on that water! 

B (7) - Oatmeal, chocolate protein powder, honey, banana...and then some left over turkey wrap...(oh i know...but i guess I was hungry?)  

S (10) - Lara Bar PB

L (12) - Apple, carrots and salmon So far, water is on point....Had some diet pop but not as much as my usual....Really wish i just wasnt always hungry!

S (230) - Orange

*Gym - Intense cardio, legs, abs, and butt

D (7) - Some chicken, brocolli, and sweet potato (OOPS...wasnt suppose to have it but did LOL)

S (10) - Banana, almond milk, chocolate protein powder, cinnamon

Yep we all have our hungry days which is normal.. You knoe it is not like you had a binge and breakfast is the most important meal of the day o no worries :) Hope you had a stellar day and evening <3

Good luck on kicking the diet soda. I gave them up a couple months ago...or I should say, I only have one maybe once a month now. Hard to do, let me tell you!!

Good morning all! Thanks for the comforting comments about the jerko! Yall know im not someone you wanna mess with ahahahah! I mean come on....Ive got baby guns attached to my shoulders - kisses biceps - LOL . I have a feeling my future kids are gonna be a handful....

Last night someone told me that Im funny enough to be on TV....No way in heck would I be able to be on TV.....Im more of a behind the scenes kinda girl...my hair is too funky to manage for lots of people to see...BUT if justin timberlake or brad pitt were my co-stars, then maybe id be okay with it LOL

Busy day ahead of me! Update later! 

B (530) - Oatmeal, cinnamon, honey, chocolate protein powder

S ( 830) - Lara Bar PB

S (1030) - Apple

*Lunch time yoga Had to miss it for work meeting :( 

L (1) - Whole wheat wrap w/ turkey and spinach w/ honey mustard and carrots

S (330) - Orange and grapefruit

*Gym - 45 mins cardio...

D (7) - Ha went to buffalo wild wings and probably ate too much. Oh well we all need a day to just kick back and eat!  Some fries, side salad and grilled chicken wrap

S (10) - Banana 

*Night time yoga...

You go girl! I am so proud of you, these jerks need a lesson and you delivered. Here is a quote for Handsome Zach: "Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength". I try to stay in the now which is a huge challenge since I am a worrier too.

V gave the best advice below. Don't NOT go to the bars if you need/want to get out, just be a little more vigilant next time.

Bravo for quick thinking--on the other hand! The fact you were completely not under the influence probably helped a lot!

lol, the weight won't go down right away, but weightlifting sure does help. my cardio is less these days as i'm trying to help my sore leg recover...

thanks for your kind words. i move out early March...pretty darn soon!

your dinner sounds delicious. i even had salmon for breakfast today.

i am planning to turn my breakfasts into more substantial meals,and less cereals.

Oh my goodness!! I just read your previous post and NO...you aren't someone to mess with!! That was scary and I've been in situations like that too where the men are waiting for you but luckily, I had the bouncers take me out to my car.
