My friends...as I sit here at the computer late at night after binging on cereal, I promise myself
- No more pop. Had my last diet coke...forever! (well maybe not forever because burger, fries, and coke go hand and hand)
- No more cereal....I dont like it to begin with because it doesnt fill me up and its just there....so I eat it
- No more hummas....I eat WAY too much...
- No more peanut butter...So far, havent had ANY since november (go me :) )
- No more popcorn.....havent had any since november :)
- No more pretzels....
Snacks will continue to be apples, carrots,and cucumbers.

Yay another 1.5 lb down in day. I think its a lot of water weight but this week is important I stay on track!
Tomorrow begins my deployment countdown. 6-7 months until I see Zach again :( BUT well use that as a timeline! By July I wanna have some sort of abs....hopefully!

I hate that I've gained so much weight these past few weeks. Doesnt help that we had pizza last night......

ALSO! I found out that after my army training here for 2 years, in IL/IA I have a choice of where i wanna move to....Here are some of my choices:
1 - Hanover, NH. I've only been once when I went to visit Dartmouth College for school hunting....beautiful area and really cool research work for the area. PLUS, the fall leaves are AWESOME. Ive always wanted to live in New England (mainly, because of the colonial history). Well see what happens
2 - Alexandria, VA - Very familiar with the area. Right outside of DC. BUT! traffic is the worst thing ever (even coming from a NYer, DC traffic sucks....)
3 - Vicksburg, Miss - Well.....the research they do at the army labs is cool. Can't say I know too much about this area but after living in the south for 2 years I think I have an idea. Humid summers, warm winters, swamps lol

I am back from Colorado.....Haven't gone on the scale yet and BOY am I afraid too......Zach leaves on Sunday to go back to NC :( but once he leaves, its back to working out! He could potentially be gone for 13 months come January to the great big sandbox our there in the east...and while that is a LONG TIME, I'm exctied to use the time apart as a way to workout hardcore and surprise him with an awesome and fit boday ;)
I'm looking back at 2012 and it really really was a great and healthy year!
Here are my new healthy resolutions for 2013!
1 - Get to my goal weight (115)
2 - 26 inch waist
3 - Eliminate the love handles!
4 - Drink more water
5 - Run for an hour straight (this one will be hard since I'm weak on running, but well see...)
6 - Wear itty bitty yellow dot bikini LOL
7 - Cook 50 new meals and document it. Overall educate myself with new and "tastier" healthy food...Theres only so much chicken and spinach I can eat
8 - Get a heart rate monitor watch :)
9 - Try not to eat junk....but give myself free cheat meals
10 - Overall feel confident and not be so self conscious!
YEP! Well see how well that goes!

Hope everyones dreams and wishes come true for 2013. This year is "Year Sara". Since Zach will be gone, I'm gonna focus on me.
Besides the healthy eating and working out, I'm gonna try to make friends here.....Its been a challenge so far, but I'm sure I can make at least 1 friend (so much harder when youre not in school!)
I'm also gonna finish up my online Masters degree and apply to some Phds that the army will pay for in Emergency Planning;)....but I have AWHILE till that happens. I've got two years here in Iowa/Illinois....so well see what happens in Dec 2014 lol.
What else? I'm gonna let my hair grow out again (Those that remember my hair question....I've started to take Biotin. Well see if it works!)
I'm going to try to be a better family member too. I haven't seen my family as much as I would like to....so I'm gonna work on that.
AND lastly, I'm gonna work on being a better person. Theres too much saddness and chaos in our world today, that I'm gonna start volunteering my time to those that need help...
Anyway though, hope everyone has a great start to 2013 :)
