(Low Carb)
Weight: 160.2

Good afternoon lovelies I am reporting from Starbucks with that I lost 1.8 lbs. Although I was a expecting the number to be slightly higher because I really amped up my cardio last week. But alas TOM destroyer of dreams threw a monkey wrench in my program I am not going to let this get me down Well I will read and respond to my girl's posts and probably get a refill on my yummy fix and I will chat with you girls later this evening! Much love to you

B-1 nectarine, 1/4 cup ff cottage  cheese

L- Starbucks, 3 oz extra lean turkey burger 1/2 slice ff cheddar, 1 slice extra lean turkey bacon

D- 5 oz chicken breast(unbreaded) ff buffalo,, 1 cup raw spinach, raw broccoli, 1/2 cucumber, red wine vin, lemon wedge

1 gallon water

Progress as of today: 66.8 lbs lost so far, only 10.2 lbs to go!

panda22 on 09/21/2010:
AWESOME news about your loss! Gotta hate TOM but just think next week when it's over you should have a very nice loss when the extra water weight is gone =) Great menu for the day! GOod to see you enjoy your treats and still stay on track the rest of the day...way to go!!

panda22 on 09/21/2010:
PS - my celebrity crush would have to be Brad Pitt....Mr. and Mrs. Smith is one of my favorite movies because of the chemistry....even though I absolutely love Jennifer Aniston and hate what she went through =(. Also I must admit I'm a sucker for Robert Pattinson of Twilight...don't tell anyone =P! Most people I know think he's not attractive, but I loved the movie "Remember Me" that he did. That is all hahaha

sweetpea1977 on 09/21/2010:
Congrats on the loss!! You will see a bigger loss next week after TOM has left. So keep up the good work!

BTW, what kind of exercise routine do you follow? Im always curious to see what others do for exercise. As for me, I like to run, walk, hike, swim, use my elliptical, lift weights, and do Jillian Michaels dvd workouts. Since the day I've found out about my pregnancy, I've stopped running, the heavy weights, and Jilian since those activities are unsafe for someone in my physical shape. If was was more fit before the baby came into the picture, I probably would have continued the running and weights.

Umpqua on 09/21/2010:
Yay for a loss, and I agree you'll see an even bigger one next week when AF leaves town!

KathyBlue on 09/21/2010:
LOL, that's why I don't weigh in right before/during/right after TOM. :) I am extra nervous on those days, I don't want to be pissed off even more because of not losing enough/gaining weight :) My celebrity crush is CHRISTOPHER WALKEN. Period. :)

loveray on 09/21/2010:
congrats on the loss!! lots of love to you. xo

breakaway on 09/21/2010:
Tom threw a damper on my dreams this week too! But almost done and already showing a lose...just hope it's a real one :D Anyway, great job on the lose! Just think, next week will show a larger one since TOM will be history ;) That's what I'm hoping anyhow! You always have great menus :D Hope you have a wonderful day today and thanks SOO much for always being there for me and commenting when I need it most. Your awesome!

getmebackto150 on 09/21/2010:
congrats on the loss... I ALWAYS gain weight for TOM so consider it a success!!! Hope you have a great day!!

skinnygrlwithin on 09/21/2010:
Im actually not sure what the job is for... it's through a temp agency and she said she had a few things she thought would be good for me...some in law firms...so we'll see what it is!! She said I should be hearing back from her in about a week or so! Lets keep our fingers crossed!

skinnygrlwithin on 09/21/2010:
Seriously congrats on the loss and like you said don't get the number get you down... TOM is always a problem that likes to interfere with our weight loss!!!

moogy on 09/21/2010:
Well I say that that is a great loss, and plus if it is TOM that has caused you to hang onto water it will dissapear in a few days, so next week should be reeeeealy good. Have a wonderful day V.:)

hopingforhealth on 09/21/2010:
Ha ha. I have to say, I read this post and about half of the comments before I realized what TOM was. :P I'm not down with the DD lingo yet! I think losing any of it during that is a success because your holding on to so much water.

How was Hedwig? It's on my "I want to get around to watching that sometime" list.

Umpqua on 09/21/2010:
Home grown citrus fruits in December would be the ultimate holiday gift!

Maria7 on 09/21/2010:
You're almost in the 150's! Congratulations to you! Yayyyyyy! :-D

Maria7 on 09/21/2010:
So 3 years ago you were at 150...wow...sounds like an interesting story that I will be looking forward to reading. You're very close to getting there again! :-)

just42day on 09/22/2010:
I saw on your post on another's site that you've made low fat mac and cheese. Could you share the recipe? I love mac & cheese and haven't had any since April. It's absolultely one of my favorite comfort foods.

Sofia on 09/22/2010:
Good job on the loss, keep it up! My TOM is almost over, so I know how you feel. Just aim for a bit og light exercise and stretching, it really helps. Have a nice day!

selina on 09/22/2010:
Terrific job on the loss! Keep it up and have a great day!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 09/22/2010:

Good morning Beauties Well I must get a start to my day!  Time to do laundry, shop, workout, you know my usual Monday routine. It's my long weekend no work til Thursday I will post my meals later! Much love to my girlies

So laundry, groceries and workout done done and done I even made all my meals for the week! Guess what's it is???? Chicken and Turkey Burgers  AGAIN!!! LOL... I really did try to come up with something different but I couldn't pass up the deal on them. Monday is a great day to get deals here, I shop at Sweetbay for most items and if any meats are a week or less from their expiration, they mark them down anywhere from $1- $5 off!

So what am I doing for the next 2 days you ask???? Well tomorrow it's the dreaded weigh in. i am sure my usual trip to Starbucks where I report to my girls. Usually I head over to my "Florida Mom's" to hang out with her she always demands "Stories Please" I guess there are alot of people who depend on my antics and shennanagins as a form of entertainment, LOL...Mary Sue is an avid coffee drinker as well so I am usually more than jacked up on java when I leave.

Weds I am not sure exactly what I am doing but I did promise to trim my friend's hair for her. I am a licensed stylist among my many other occupations that I have tried and it wasn't for me. It's funny that you mentioned a Spa day Sweetpea, I was pondering just that I am really trying to stow away a little money, but you never know! Danimal also mentioned heading over to the other coast to surf so that is a possibility as well. Tonight i will attempt to watch Hedwig tonight, Danimal showed up last night and wouldn't stop talking so I didn't watch it through it's entirety Girls wish me luck tomorrow!  Much love to you beauties!

B- Starbucks

L- 2 cups raw spinach, 2.4 oz wild caught salmon , 1 hard boiled egg white, 1/2 cucumber, 2 tbsp ff cheddar, 2 lemon wedges, red wine vin, 2 wedges apple

D- 6 oz pan fried chicken breast (unbreaded) in Pam, topped with ff buffalo sauce, 1 cup ff low sodium chicken breast, 1 cup sauteed collards

S- try not to but if so Sugarfree jello??

1 gallon water, 1 can celsius

Progress as of today: 64.2 lbs lost so far, only 12.8 lbs to go!

selina on 09/20/2010:
Have a great day V!

getmebackto150 on 09/20/2010:

biscottibody59 on 09/20/2010:
Enjoy your week!

moogy on 09/20/2010:
Now if I am right, you are not working for a few days. (Goes back and reads what was written - yes I am right) What are you planning on doing with yourself, I don't what you flopping around the house being bored. I want activities, focus and a plan. Plus I am nosey and I want to know what vicarious activities I am going to be up to for four days. Do tell!! Love You.

sweetpea1977 on 09/20/2010:
Im nosey too. If I had that many consecutive days off, I'd be planning a mini-vacation. Spend two nights at a fancy hotel, treat myself to a spa day and a day of shopping, or visit out of town friends. :)

Maria7 on 09/20/2010:
Always good to have a few days to get things done and try to rest some, too. Have fun shopping...

hopingforhealth on 09/20/2010:
Have a great long weekend! Four days off sure is a treat!

Maria7 on 09/20/2010:
Thanks. Your dinner sounded REALLY good. :-D

moogy on 09/20/2010:
A hair stylist as well!!!! What a talented woman you are. It is so true, you are the party animal of our team and we are depending on you for our excitment. However, the spa sounds wonderful, can I come? Might not be a good idea, we would just laugh our way through the treatment - no relaxation at all!!

Umpqua on 09/20/2010:
Your foods sound awesome! Is that chicken broth your using with the buffalo chicken and collard greens? I watched Hedwig last night, such a great and funny flick!

moogy on 09/20/2010:
Maybe some laughter therapy should be part of the day - after all, it is the best medicine!!!!

just42day on 09/20/2010:
Hey cutie -- I noticed you like buffalo sauce. You might like the Zesty Chicken recipe that's posted in the recipe section. I increase the amount of hot sauce to the recipe and chicken comes out quite zesty! :)

nita51 on 09/20/2010:
Smart girl,,,,and pretty too? You go girl! It certainly sounds like you know how and where to shop for great deals. Love the way you prepared your meals ahead of time. I'm taking notes, maybe I will learn a thing or two. xoxo & Thanks for your encouraging words.

KathyBlue on 09/21/2010:
ahhh, that Danimal is really into something :D ... So you're a stylist, that's great! An other reason I'd like to be neighbor with you, LOL... I have a terrible hair style, it's short and even then I cannot get anything good out of it, stupid bird nest.... :)

Umpqua on 09/21/2010:
OK, I actually dreamed about collard greens last night after reading your recipe before going to sleep. I'll be making that dish soon - love buffalo chicken too!

just42day on 09/21/2010:
Don't you love it when what we want is on sale? A few weeks ago, a store had ground turkey on sale for $.99/lb! I bought eight pounds worth! I know it's silly, but I actually get high when I get a great deal. Guess it's a good thing that I'm easily amused. :)

sweetpea1977 on 09/21/2010:
Sounds like you have a busy and fun time off planned. Enjoy!

Good luck on your weigh in! :)

Third attempt to post my entry???? Anyone else having a problem?

Good afternoon My posts have all vanished,I made sure to hit submit and nothing i have had a long day of shopping for a 4 year olds birthday party...I managed to weasel my way out of chaperoning the afternoon field trip by voulunteering to pick up the cake and a few items for the house party at 5 pm. Steven's (birthday boy) mom called this morning bumming that she could not find the batman Costume he has been asking for weeks prior so she opted for transformers instead.

While completely dazed and confused at Toys R Us as to what to get for him it dawned on me that I PARTY was next door To my suprise i got the last costume in his size and i even managed to get it on sale for $19.99, originally $30! Yay Auntie Nessa!!!!! LOl  I went back to T RU and got a few Toy Story 3 items, got the cake and now i must go prepare a few pitchers of Sangrias and Crab Traps (my signature drink) These are potent but fruity tropical drinks that can have you walking sideways like a crab if consuming too many, LOL

Easy to make you just combine all 4 Captain morgan's flavored Rums as followed;

Pineapple Rum, Coconut Rum, Passionfruit Rum, Mango Rum,equal parts, Mix with Orange Juice, Pineapple Juice, and Cranberry Juice....For less calories use all diet or sugar free juices! Talk to you when I get home! Much love to you

I 'm am back!!!! Out of there just in the nick of time just as the birthday boy was having himself quite the temper tantrum I am sure he was overly tired with the trip to the Aquarium and the pool party and the fact that he is spoiled rotten added to this as well,LOL.

I have to say it was a great party  and I am sure it will go on well into the evening. They have a huge family, 7 in all and they are my adopted Florida family and my Sangria's and Crab Traps are a MUST HAVE at all the family functions as well as Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, well let's just say they are a fun family just like mine in Chicago  Now Moogy  there is definetly a method to my madness and I was able to sneak out of there like a NINJA and  they probably still haven't figured out I snuck away, LOL..Next Sunday is Tracy's ( another sister)  son's 4th b day so we are doing it all over again!

SO  now for a little Me time! I am going to read and respond to all my girls and then watch  Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Umpqua was kind enough to burn it for me Thank You!! It is rare to find people that share the same passion for this movie Good night girls I will chat with you all later! Much love to you

B- Starbucks, 1 mini plum

L- 4 egg whites orange pepper ff cheddar scramble, 3  strips extra lean turkey bacon

D- 6 oz skinless baked chicken with 2 oz  homemade spinach artichoke dip ontop

1 gallon water, 1 can of cesius, 2 cups coffee at my friend's house

Progress as of today: 64.2 lbs lost so far, only 12.8 lbs to go!

just42day on 09/19/2010:
Recipe for beer batter onion rings incredibly easy; a bit time consuming but easy and I just figured it out as I went along. Slice large onions (I use vidalia or spanish). 1 onion makes lots! Break into rings and soak in milk w/2-4tbs lemon juice (or buttermilk).Rings should soak for at least 15 minutes. In resealable bag: add 1-1.5 C flour, 1TB salt and 1-2 TB cayenne pepper (which is optional) In bowl: mix @ 1-1.5 C flour; add enough beer to mix into pancake like batter - not thick! Beer batter needs to sit for @ 15 minutes which gives you enough time to do next step.

Place rings in resealable bag w/flour mixture. Shake to coat and place on baking pan. Heat oil (vegetable, canola or corn) over med to high heat. Temp should be @ 375 degrees but I just guess by dropping one ring dipped in batter in oil. Oil is ready when ring floats to top and turns golden brown in 2-3 minutes. Once oil is ready, dip floured rings in batter and place in hot oil (depending upon size of pan - 4-5 rings/time. Turn once and remove when golden brown placing on paper towel lined pan. Salt to taste.) The beauty of this these can be frozen and reheated and they taste like they were just made. To reheat, preheat oven to 475. Place FROZEN rings on foil lined pan. Heat for 12 minutes. Because oven temps vary, you may want to do 10 minutes just to see how your oven heats. I usually make a huge batch; store is plastic ice cream type bucket. That way you can take out and use as many or as few as you'd like. They've been a huge hit w/my family. I give "buckets of rings" as Xmas presents and people love them.

KathyBlue on 09/19/2010:
Toy Story 3 is a big hit over here, too... LOL... but most of the girls in the family are fans of Hanna Montana and High School Musical... we're sooo old...

Maria7 on 09/19/2010:
No, haven't had any problems posting. I don't know if others have today or not. :-)

moogy on 09/19/2010:
So, I am a little confused are those drinks for the children's party so that you can cope with the little people!!!!! What a good auntie, so sneaky, they will probably never know what lurks beneath that slightly crazed mind of yours. Of course, I would have offered to do anything rather than look after other peoples children. I wasn't that keen on mine - I have realized that it is only worth the effort so that you get grandchildren!!! Have a great day - try not to fall down in front of the children.!!!!:)

Umpqua on 09/19/2010:
What a good auntie you are organizing all that for the party! I'll have to remember that concoction for my older son's 4-year party in December. It will be a little touch of the tropics in our chill Northeast winter! Hope you are having fun with John Cameron Mitchell et friends :)

hopingforhealth on 09/19/2010:
Congrats on the last minute costume save! That party sounds sure to be a success.

Also, your signature drink sounds delicious! Rum may be my booze of choice so I will have to try it sometime (in moderation, because I think it would knock me flat, ha ha).

moogy on 09/19/2010:
I can just see you flattened against a wall arms out, head turning from side to side, crabbing your way out of the festivities!!LOL Well done, I have been to a few family gatherings when I could have done with some ninja style.

moogy on 09/19/2010:
Thanks for your kind words and the warning. I have tried hard all week to get it all off but I think there will still be a couple of pounds left for tomorrow's weigh in. I can only do what I can do!! I appreciate the love!!:D

tangalyn on 09/18/2010:
hope u have a great day at work :)

sweetpea1977 on 09/18/2010:
Amen! Eating too few calories will result in storing fat and burning muscles which is the exact opposite of proper weightloss!! Yes, it may appear you're losing weight and inches but you're losing body mass that isnt healthy to lose.

Consuming too few calories can lead to starvation. Starvation can create a number of negative effects such as a sluggish metabolism and/or a slower fat-burning process. When the body is starved of energy, it begins storing everything that is consumed. If your goal is to lose weight, you may experience a serious plateau as your body begins holding onto every calorie consumed. You may find that increasing your calorie intake will boost your weight loss.

Starvation leads to malnutrition. Signs of malnutrition include fatigue, depression, a weakened immune system, anemia, muscle weakness, digestive problems, lung and heart problems, and poor skin.

Other side effects of consuming too few calories include cold hands and feet, constipation, vomiting, dizziness, headaches, irritability, hypothermia, edema, decreased muscle mass and hypoglycemia. If an individual continues this type of eating pattern for an extended period of time, serious health problems can occur, including renal failure, anemia, bowel obstruction and nerve compression. Other serious conditions may arise depending on your current health.

Umpqua on 09/18/2010:
I absolutely agree, undereating only leads to problems. Our bodies need fuel to operate efficiently. I hope you have an excellent day!

hopingforhealth on 09/18/2010:
Good call on not skipping... I have to work not to do that when I am busy too! Have a great Saturday!

Maria7 on 09/18/2010:
No...undereating serves NO PURPOSE! It slows down metabolism...can make you feel hypoglycemic (not a good feeling, btw)...yes...I learned. :-D

nita51 on 09/18/2010:
Have a good day at work. Sounds like you are right on the mark, regarding eating well and not skipping meals. You'll get to 150 before you know it. Hugs! OK, no more cheese puffs. :)

moogy on 09/18/2010:
I hope you have a productive and fruitful day at work, maybe you can earn enough to put away holiday money!!! I come from the school of thought that says never miss a meal or snack. I just don't deprive myself, why should I, I might lose weigh slower but I will stay with it longer. Have a wonderful day my friend.

moogy on 09/19/2010:
Of course, you realise that that coffee is going to keep you up until all hours don't you? Funny girl! The only thing under my belt at the moment is a tummy that gets in the way of me looking fabulous in clothes. It will be gone by - lets say March. Have a good night's sleep sweetheart. Fingers crossed!!!!XXXXX

I am totally usless at technology. My son bought me a digital camera in 2009 for my birthday. It is still in it's box, I can't understand the instructions!!!!!! I will post a picture, I will get my daughter to do it for me - but not until I am happy with the way I look. I need to loose about 10k/22lb before that will happen. It might be a Christmas present for you.!!! That sounds like a good goal - what do you think??

moogy on 09/17/2010:
Love you food for today. You certainly don't need to get any extra exercise in, you worked your tail off. I am glad you got well rewarded for your efforts. Get a good night's sleep and I will catch up with you tomorrow. Love Ya.

Thank you so much for the sweet photo comments!!

What busy day you had! Sounds like your business needs a couple more blenders!! But hey, thats awesome about the amount of money you made in ONE day! Thats incredible!!

Your foods sound fantastic. I especially love your lunch and dinner. As for the ff no cal buffalo sauce - did you buy that at a store? Hubby loves buffalo wings and I would love to be able to make a more calorie friendly wing plate for him to enjoy every now and then during college football season.

Good luck with today's double!!

I spend WAY more time here now and very little time on FB. This place just makes me feel warm. Glad to see you here so often :D I'm always loving your comments :D Thanks!

Umpqua on 09/16/2010:
Let me know how you do the zucchini fries when you get a chance. I baked mine with Pam and they came out mushy. Have a good one!

skinnygrlwithin on 09/16/2010:
I spend so much time on this site it's ridiculous!!! Haha ... we're just a good support team that's all!

selina on 09/16/2010:
Hi V! The colors in Northern VA still have the green shades of lushness of late summer, but I know for a fact that they will change soon!

Thanks for asking about my daughter! She is doing wonderfully in her new school: she loves riding the public school bus for the first time in her life (she is an International School kid), is delighted at the size of her locker which she reports it is 3 times as large as her locker at her previous school in Switzerland, has made a few good friends, loves her new teachers and doesn't complain too much about the amount of homework she gets (huge amount, at least 2 hours of homework every day!) Last night was back-to-school parents' night at her school, and of course my husband and I went there to meet everyone and to check the place out. We met all her teachers and we were both very impressed by the teachers and their qualifications. They all seem to be very enthusiastic about their work, they are young, yet experienced, they all have amazing credentials and they all seem to be passionate about their work! I came back home feeling really good about her new school. Best of all, it's free, it's public and I can hardly believe it!

biscottibody59 on 09/16/2010:
Congrats on your loss--keep up the good work!

The celebrity crushes that come to mind are either dead or have seen their better days.

Two dead ones: William Holden--check out "Network" if you've never seen it. Steve McQueen--check out "Bullitt" or "The Thomas Crown Affair."

Oh and on the commercial for your dr--yeah, I think he should pay you. Of course I think the likes "Old Navy" and Nike should pay people to wear their damn logos as well!

It seems like you've probably gotten as much out of that deal anyway.

loveray on 09/16/2010:
have a great day!!! i do love some matthew mccaugnahey and joaquin phoenix

hollybelle on 09/16/2010:
I had to laugth at biscotti's comments about celebrity crushes being dead or better days - I guess mine would have to have been the same - I liked Steve McQueen, but as for me - wierd as his personal life has sometimes been - Clint Eastwood is my favorite. Can't resist Dirty Harry! Of the younger men in the media today I like the guy on the TV show "White Collar" the one that plays "Neil". He's a cutie and I am a sucker for the retro clothes he wears so well. SIGH - you know you are OLD when you are talking about how nice the guy looks in his clothes instead of wondering what he looks like out of them! (OOOPS, did I say that?) :o)

moogy on 09/16/2010:
Hi there sweetie, what a lovely thing to do, we generally don't tip anyone in Australia, we have a high minimum wage so people can actually work one job and survive, but anyway, I thought that that was lovely. I bet it warmed the cockles of your heart (now, there's an on English saying)Have a great day V.

moogy on 09/16/2010:
I mentioned to someone else, but I will repeat myself on the official site, it's Richard Gere and Jeff Bridges for me. I would, I definitely would!!!!!!!

moogy on 09/16/2010:
I just read your post on my diary. I think we all have to do what makes us happy, as long as it is not at the expense of others. As for your qualifications - you never know what is going to happen in the future and you may need them then. I think that at the moment you are doing what makes you and obviously your friends and patrons happy. It is a great skill to make people feel good about themselves, and you have the skill. Otherwise you would not be able to make a living out of your work. Living on tips is tough (and I think unreasonable - but Australia is called 'the lucky country' for good reasons - our minimum wage is around 13 or 14 dollars an hour) but you have made it work for you. I say good on you.

hopingforhealth on 09/16/2010:
Hey V! I just finished posting. I got back from work on time but exercised and ate before posting. I'm still laughing about our man claiming last night. Thanks for checking on me today! What are the zucchini fries? do you put something on it before you bake it or just seasonings? Sounds yummy.

Maria7 on 09/16/2010:
When you were talking about the heat, I checked and see that you are in Florida....so, no wonder. Have you ever been through a hurricane there??? (Just asking, since Igor is out there...but not supposed to be coming our way...) Thanks for the Crystal Gayle compliment. :-D

sweetpea1977 on 09/16/2010:
lol, yes mama! :)

Glad you had a good day...minus the Floridian heat!

sweetpea1977 on 09/16/2010:
haha. Ok, I'm game.

I like Zach Braff (Scrubs and several independent films he has written/directed) for his quirky sense of humor and Jonathan Rhys Meyers whom I discovered on The Tudors series - super delicious!! I sometimes like George Clooney, but only for the goofy off-beat characters he plays (O Brother, Where art Thou, Men Who Stare at Goats, etc). I dont like him in serious/ladies man roles. I sometimes like Brad Pitt, but only for his quirky roles (Burn After Reading, Inglorious Basterds). However, I do remember drooling over him in A River Runs Through It. Oh, I think the Jason Segel (Marshall on How I Met Your Mother) is adorable. He also starred in that movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Oh, and even though they're long dead I drool over black and white tv shows and movie stars like Desi Arnaz, James Dean, Cary Grant, Gregory Peck and Jimmy Stewart (when they were young and wrinkle free, of course!). :)

Hows that list for ya? :)

Maria7 on 09/16/2010:
The Lord gets the credit for helping Mom. He is our Healer. :-D It wasn't any talk I had with the nurse, it was definitely only the Lord. :-D

Yes, I KNOW you KNOW how much I LOVE candy...especially chocolate-covered almonds...but...I'm glad I resisted them! :-D Even resisted ice cream today, too! Had a little 'talk' with myself about the calories and told myself the cals were too high for that, also! :-D

Sofia on 09/16/2010:
I'm betting that we in FL will not get cool weather until mid-late October. Great job on the exercise, it can be hard to sneak it in during the day.

Umpqua on 09/16/2010:
Good on you for getting in the stairs and an ab workout. Oh and RE sweetpea's celeb crush comment, have you seen Velvet Goldmine? Another musical that I actually like since I'm not a huge fan of musicals. I will take the 3 leads - Jonathan Rhys Meyers (sweetpea will have to share), Ewan McGregor AND Christian Bale. If you haven't checked out the movie, it's glamtastic ;P

moogy on 09/16/2010:
Don't worry, I am not a great cheesecake lover, only very rich chocolate cheesecake that I make for my daughter. The lemon one I can take or leave, but I will enjoy a little something sweet. I am totally in control of myself - and I like it!!

moogy on 09/16/2010:
LOL I appreciate your watchfullness (is that a word?) anyway, keeping an eye on me.

just42day on 09/16/2010:
You're doing so well! I didn't end up buying a blazer today. Just couldn't find anything I liked. Plus I remembered I probably do have another one I can wear now that weather's changing a bit. I did, however, pop for 4 other tops -- all in one size smaller than I have been wearing so that was gratifying....A size is a size. :)

nita51 on 09/16/2010:
Hey lady, Hope you had a good day today. You'll probably be reading this comment 2mrrw, I am a night owl. I joined DD's about a year ago. It was the best thing I could have done. I love my DD family. They've helped me through many of rough times. There are times I've chilled out temporarily, but don't like the way I feel when I'm not in touch. Truth is, each and every one of you, touch my life in ways you never could imagine. DD's gives me hope and courage, to carry on, especially when it seems like this mountain to too enormous to climb. So glad you are a part of this family, and girl, you are full of sunshine,,,, Keep on keeping on. xoxo

(Low Carb)
Weight: 162.8

Good morning Divas I am trying to leave early so I can go to the Post Office and you never know how long the line is so I will read all but might not be able respond til after work! Just wanted to say whatever you are doing today girls try to have a little fun Much love to you all

So  glad to be home in some AC!!!!! Sweltering again today  Well my trip to the post office was delayed til after work, It worked out great because there was NO LINE!!! Imagine that!!!

My day started out with a pleasant surprise, My as I walked through the door my GM jokingly ask if I was planning on moving in because he had a letter addressed to me. Well it was a letter from a customer who had apparently forgot to tip me because they were a little "over served" by me Imagine that,LOL enclosed was a money order for $30 If it is the same ladies i am thinking of well that was very generous seeing as though their check couldn't have been more than $50  That truly made my day!

Workout done and now I can relax!  Nita has started a little theme here with the celebrity "boyfriends" Just in case you girls didn't know Leonardo and Justin Timberlake  are both spoken for, although they are both a little annoyed that i can't make a decision between the two of them, they have leaned to deal with it and they don't even mind that I have a slight girl crush on Megan Fox And on that note I wish you much love Have a good night girls!!!!

B- Starbucks, 1 nectarine, 1/4 cup cottage cheese

L- 3 1/2 oz extra lean ground turkey patty no bun 1 strip extra lean turkey bacon 1/2 slice ff cheddar cheese  2 celery stalks

D- 6 oz baked chicken breast 1 cup ff lo sod chix broth, 1 cup baked brussel sprouts

1 gallon water   1 can Celcius(addicting but so good)

Progress as of today: 64.2 lbs lost so far, only 12.8 lbs to go!

loveray on 09/15/2010:
sending lots of love your way!

KathyBlue on 09/15/2010:
post offices are like that all over the world... You have to send me your address, too!!! Gonna get a very cool postcard this weekend for u :)

KathyBlue on 09/15/2010:
Starbucks addicted!!!!! :D I went there once, and I really disliked their product, but you make me want to give it a second try...

getmebackto150 on 09/15/2010:
what is the celcius? I feel like I would like it... LOL!

skinnygrlwithin on 09/15/2010:
Enjoy your day!! And by the way I hate the post office too lol

nita51 on 09/15/2010:
Hi There, Queen Diva. OK, I will steer clear of Leonardo,,, if you PROMISE you'll never come near my Denzel or Brad Pitt. ( Their my chocolate and vanilla cutie pies ) :) :) :) I love them both. Have a good day today. I hate long postal lines as well. They need a new system. Take Care

nita51 on 09/15/2010:
Oh yes,,,love you too. You and Starbucks,,,we need to talk. Just kidding I love my morning Joe too. My favorite is Yuban De cafe. In fact... I'm about to indulge right now. Later,,, girl friend!

Umpqua on 09/15/2010:
Hope you have an excellent day!

hollybelle on 09/15/2010:
Hey I saw your question about the O. Slaw, and meant to respond.....I'll post recipe later. There are several ways to make it healthier or not so much healthy. I love it. It makes alot, too. It's mostly cabbage.

sweetpea1977 on 09/15/2010:
Ugh, the post office! I hope you made it out of there quickly!

I love how everyone gives you a hard time about Starbucks. You're just drinking their plain coffee which has 5 calories, right? Big deal! As for me, I drink their lattes, mochas, etc which are loaded with calories, lol. But hey, I dont drink it every day and when I do order some, I always get the smallest size with FF milk and no whip cream! Anyway, as long as you get all your water (which you do) and are able to sleep at night then enjoy that caffeine fix!

moogy on 09/15/2010:
Post offices here must be different, I don't think I have ever had to wait longer than a couple of minutes. I received another post card yesterday, nice suprise, it was the one with the cut out heart in the corner. I wonder where that one has been sitting all this time!!! I hope you have a wonderful day V. I am so impressed with your ability to stay low carb, do you crave bread, pasta etc or are you so used to it now that you don't consider them? Love and Hugs.

moogy on 09/15/2010:
You are fortunate that you don't crave those carbs, I would love it if I didn't like ice cream and chocolate, a loaf of bread lasts me for at least a couple of weeks, I don't eat pasta very often but love rice, and only have that on rare occassions. But chocolate - lady you are seriously weird!!!! LOL I don't drink alchohol or coffee, so you probably think I am weird!! - and yet we still love each other. XXXX

Maria7 on 09/15/2010:
Congratuations to you on your BIG PROGRESS you are making! :-D Didn't see your photo...not a member of facebook. Happy for you on your much lower number! :-)

breakaway on 09/15/2010:
I have to ask...what is Celcius? I feel dumb asking that LOL but I have NO clue and you talk about it often so it must be good. I was laughing at your entry today...your too funny. Great job today on the menu :D You may not believe this but I have never tried starbucks but really should. The prices have always scared me away. That was so nice of those women to send you that tip...you must have really deserved it ;) Have a great day today :D

Umpqua on 09/15/2010:
James McAvoy! Have a good nite ;-D

hopingforhealth on 09/15/2010:
That is a sweet surprise tip! And the post office too! It's always a nightmare where I live too. The celebrity boyfriend thing is too fun! I call dibs on John Hamm! Have a nice night!

hopingforhealth on 09/15/2010:
I had a mini frittata recipe bookmarked that I had been meaning to try. It was perfect for me when trying to plan ahead to eating better and for eating breakfast, because I don't usually have much time in the morning and could make it ahead http://www.parade.com/food/recipes/parade/muffin-frittatas.html (I don't actually know how to post a link, so you'll have to copy and paste). I tweaked it a smidge by using 3 regular eggs + 3 egg whites, skim milk, low fat cheese, and more of all of the veggies, so I my version is healthier! I think they're pretty delicious, and this is coming from a girl who would normally say a frittata just isn't happening without potato! I just stuck them in the fridge wrapped in serving sizes, grab it on the way out the door and then put it in the toaster oven and eat them my desk at work. I hate to fight so soon after meeting, but I'm gonna have to stick to my fantasy relationship with the Hamm. C'mon, you already have two boyfriends and a girlfriend! ;)

nita51 on 09/16/2010:
Have a fantastic Thursday. Love Ya

(Low Carb)
Weight: 162.8

Good afternoon lovely girls I just came from my appointment and sitting at Starbucks having my Crank, LOL!!! Boy was I shocked to hear I lost 5.5 lbs!!!!!! Yes! Jess the nurse asked me if cared if they posted me on the biggest loser board for the week and I said no I didn't mind. They also asked if I wanted to be featured as their new spokesperson/poster girl when I reach my goal. Well here lies my dilema.......Although my giant ego would love to be the face plastered on his billboards and be on a commercial, I am not so sure if I  can represent someone that i am not too sure of.. Although he has made efforts to make a few changes like the biggest loser board, he still hasn't made any attempts to follow up on my suggestions like the cookbook or newsletters, I think that he assumed that I was going to do all of the leg work and if that is the case, he should be paying me(am I right) And he still avoids me like the plauge!!!!! I feel that if the only thing he provides me with is a scale and vitamins and the encouragement from his staff, his girls are truly amazing! My strength comes from all of you girls here and this I honestly mean that from the bottom of my heart

So enough about me, it's on to the my favorite girls lives and although I might not be at my goal weight just yet I am going to post my 227 before picture, sorry Moogy I have my sunglasses on again I would like to do this so a few of you that are out there struggling can see it CAN be done.... Back with the pic in a moment, Much love to you

UPDATE!!!!   As I sat reading and responding today at Starbucks, Val, Hottie Scottie and Amber comes over with much excitement. They were headed to the beach and stopped by my house to see if I wanted to go to the beach and since I wasn't there they figured only other place I could be was there! LOL I gotta find a new hangout, I mean if a hitman was looking for me it would be quite obvious where to find me

So I thought about it for a mili sec and said yes! I already had my workout today so what the heck, I always keep a suit, towels, sunscreen and all of the other necessities for the beach in my car so off we went. It was a scorcher today 92 degrees and by three I had my fair share of sun, Definitely got bronzed  My decision to leave was actually perfect timing as they were in search of Frosty Frozen Beverages! Exit stage left!!!!

I just finished chopping, measuring and bagging my veggies for the week, this weeks meals are in the oven being cooked so I will take this time out to finish catching up with everyone! Have a good evening all and thank you all for your love support and encouragement

B- Starbucks, 4 strips of extra lean turkey bacon, 1/4 cup ff cottage cheese 1/2 apple

L- 3 1/2 oz extra lean turkey patty, 1/2 slice ff cheese  1/2 apple

D-6 oz baked skinless chicken breast,1 cup ff lo sod chix broth,1 cup sauteed collards

1 gallon water, 1 can celsius

So after several attempts I was able to post this even if you are not on fb you can still view the pic

sweetpea1977 on 09/14/2010:
Congrats on the weightloss. You are so awesome!!

Umpqua on 09/14/2010:
Yay!! Well done and you should be proud to be on the biggest loser board. As for acting as a "face" for this doctor, if you don't agree with the way he handles his practice then you're right not to want to endorse him. Besides, your success story is right here as an inspiration to all of us. Bravo!! I'm going to get your disc done tonight and hopefully mail it out tomorrow :)

moogy on 09/14/2010:
That doctor sounds like a total dork!! You are right, if he wants to use you - he should pay you. He obviously hasn't got IT!!! The fact that he avoids you is indicative of his ego/resentment/embarrassment, not very mature or professional - what an idiot!! Anyway, you are doing brilliantly, what a shining star - I am sooo proud of you. I could just give you a huge squeeeeeze. OOOOOOO

moogy on 09/14/2010:
Chilli Calamari with Bok Choy and Oyster Sauce recipe now posted. It is very yummy and has quite a kick, hope you try it and enjoy!!

Thanks for the welcome last night! I appreciate it, being a new kid and all. Seriously, congrats! That's definitely an exciting surprise at a doctor's apointment!

AWESOME loss! The part about Starbucks had me laughing out loud haha I have a friend who is SUCH an addict...she even had a countdown on facebook til the Pumpkin Spice Latte was to come out for the season...to the minute LOL. You are doing great! KEep it up!

Progress as of today: 59 lbs lost so far, only 18 lbs to go!

sweetpea1977 on 09/13/2010:
lol, I know, I sound obsessive with my weight dont I? I just dont want to blow up like I did last time. 40 lbs gained during pregnancy is way too much and I certainly dont want to do that again. I mean, if I do, I will be over 200lbs and past my highest recorded weight (208lbs)! Yikes!

Anyway, the photo link worked. You and Val are cute besties!

moogy on 09/13/2010:
Thank you for being my wingwoman. I cannot tell you how bloated and yucky I feel, so I am glad that you will be there cheering me on!! I love you!! Hey! are you always incognito wearing your sunnies, I would love to see a close up of those eyes!!! I am hoping that you have been good enought to have lost some weight this week, notwithstanding the late start back to real life!!:)

yup... just carrot cake and a can of diet gingerale... They are really pretty good... Husband and I don't care for frosting too much so we just left them plain... Can't really beat it for 80 calories a pop!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 09/14/2010:
which one is you? are you in the red shirt? or are you the white girl!? lol. either way, both the girls in that picture are VERY pretty, and i'm not kidding! you are BOTH BEAUTIFUL!

hmmm, you say you had collard greens, so i'm gonna guess you are on the left in the picture!?...I love collard greens, too! once i made them with not enough seasoning/oil tho, and i ate the entire huge bag of them, felt so sick after!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 09/14/2010:
oh, so my type of guy: i do like a more serious guy. someone who is fit, but not hugely muscular. lean and toned is nice. not too much muscle though, at all. I like brown haired, light skinned guys.

guys that seem very motivated, smart, hard working. energetic, focussed...persistant. that's what this guy is, that's why i like him. i can tell just by the way that he works out that he's awesome...

Horn_Of_Plenty on 09/14/2010:
oh wait, you went tanning, so you are DEFINITELY the girl on the RIGHT! :-)

Horn_Of_Plenty on 09/14/2010:
later, you must clarify that last comment you made to me, the one line about the professional flirt, just walk away...i am a bit confused!!!!

...oh, and were you serious to not talk about his fitness/routine? lol. talk later.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 09/14/2010:
one last thing, i was reading through all your comments, i love the "backflips in the middle of the room!"

Thank you so much for your words the other day... it really made me feel like I made the right decision after I read what you said... someone who has only read a few words about the situation and already knows my exact true feelings... it showed I wasn't very good at hiding what I was really thinking, and therefore not the right choice for me at all.

Good morning lovely ladies Are you ready for some football????? I sure am So I am sure that this will come as no surprise to you that I did NOT get sleep last night because of the copious amounts of coffee i ingested last night ( I bet you girls thought i was gonna say booze right well HA!)  I have a little time to nap before the first games and then it's on and poppin! Much love to you

I managed to get up just before Fox NFL Sunday! I love to watch the former players all amped up especially Bradshaw  All the boys are calling me to meet them at JB's oasis for the games. Val works there too, as much as I really want to go I just can't the temptation of having a cocktail or two is too much to bear! And I def don't want the wrath of Moogy coming down on me!!!! LOL Love ya Moogs So this is the first time in the history I am staying home on week 1. My friends are so over my diet and although they fully support me they want their social director back ASAP!

I am more than a little pissed that because of the Succaneer's (Tampa bay Buccaneers) black out (they are trying to fill seats at the stadium) the only 1 pm game is Dolphins at Bills, GO FINS!  I wish I had the NFL ticket so I can see my Bears kick some Lions arses! LOL!  Have a good one ladies i will chat with you soon!  much love to you

Have a good Sunday. LoL I never understood the USs fascination with football around this time of year.

I am indeed still planning a Mickey cake. I've found a few designs I like and am going to do a test drive of one this week to make sure I have the "artistic icing skills" to pull it off =P Great menu!! Yay for football! Have a fun Sunday!

moogy on 09/12/2010:
OK, so I didn't understand most of your post!!LOL It is 4 am here and I can't sleep, so it could be that, but no, I just don't understand a word you said except wrath of Mooggy - too right. Sorry you have to miss the socializing, but if you can't resist the alcohol you have to stay at home!! Not far to go before you are at goal and then you will be able to have a couple with your games. Yay!! Love you.

I used to watch football every Sunday.. Kinda miss it. I was a KC Chiefs Fan, I am doing body paint for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader later this year, I will have to post the pic. and of course I do the routine : ) lol my gym has a "show dance" class which is basically like strip aerobics...

KathyBlue on 09/12/2010:

I'm so not into sports. Funny, since hubby works at ESPN! I can see how this would be a challenging season for you. Oh and that sucks that you lost Hedwig. I can burn you a copy of mine if you'd like and mail it out to you. I think John Cameron Mitchell is amazing and Tommy Gnosis' voice was kind of annoying. But I like the character and realize he was supposed to be annoying. Love the car wash scene and the trail of "goommy bears!"

If you can't email through this site (don't know if that works anymore) I'm on Facebook so we can message that way.
