Good morning I traded up my Insanity class for Asylum 1's Strength class today, just felt like pumping some iron..

That was quite a storm last night, a few tornado sightings but we dodged the bullet..It stopped storming just as the sun was coming up but with the temps being so warm, the forecasters are predicting we will get another round later.. I guess this will be a perfect day to watch some movies, I could clean a bit but that's no fun, LOL..

RYC: I did buy the book last night, and finished my first "homework" assignment last night. I really really like it so far, it points out how I need to take a different approach to weight loss and just my life in general. I really appreciate the recommendation, and I'm definitely excited to get through the book. As for my parents...yes they've been snow birds for wow... I'd say about ten years now! Crazy! I don't normally go down (since I've been broke haha) but this year I think we're going to try and fly down in March...it all depends on the job front...but yes if we head down I'd love to stop by!

I love thunderstorms! Sounds like you have a great day planned!!

Yep, the boys are in school so it's easier to get my stuff done. J is in the office today too haha - peace and quiet! RE the dip, my friend's hubby is a hunter and she was pretty sure it was homemade pheasant sausage, or possibly venison. Her hubby actually made the dip, it's sort of like a southern biscuit gravy but thicker - it was so good! Not lowfat haha, but I was careful not to eat much and I ate it with a fork instead of crackers. Her hubby is a hunter and a gourmet, great combination!

Good Morning Had a really good day off yesterday..Even mustered up the patience to sit is line for 25 minutes to get my car washed..Not complaining but we have had an almost 3 month dry spell and the line for most of the washes here are insane(at least 40 minutes) wouldn't you know it, after my car is nice a clean, the rain chances for the next few days are really high..LOL It never fails..

 I just completed Max Cardio Conditioning class and  I am probably going to add an ab class later..My usual chores await and I also want to get started packing for my trip..6 more days til vacay, YIPPEE!  I really don't have much in the way of true winter clothes here(I still have alot of clothes at my parents) so I shouldn't have a problem with overdoing it..LOL

Hoping that you all have a happy healthy start to your week

Back from a really productive day, it is amazing how quickly you can get it done when you don't procrastinate..LOL Before laundry, I picked up a nice pair of boots on the cheap(25 bucks)..Not really aiming for warmth since I don't have a need for heavy boots, just something stylish that I could wear here as well.. As I mentioned earlier, I have a few pair at my folks and I share the same shoe size with my BFF who is a shoe fanatic just in case I need a more durable waterproof boot.. After laundry, I got all my packing done and I did really well with not overstuffing my suitcase..I put a post it on it just to remind myself that other than my tolietries, nothing else goes in the bag..LOL

All the food prep for the week was completed pretty early  so I had the rest of the afternoon to chill, chatted it up with my Mom before my Ab Shredder class.. It is now raining like crazy here, quite an electrical storm and a little startling to hear the roars of thunder..

Oh, V, my car is dirty too!! I thought about washing it yesterday, but it was so hot and I didn't want to do it in my biking clothes and after the shower I didn't want to get sweaty again! Rain is coming today and they promise cooler temps. Where are you going on your vacation? Hope you have a great time!

Thank you so much for your comments on Friday... it really means a lot. I know that I have this problem, that I want so badly to get back to the way I used to look but I struggle with the motivation and dedication because of all the other things going on in my life. But I also hate saying that because I feel like it's a cop-out sometimes. I know I should be doing this for my health, not my looks...unfortunately though it's always been about how I look in things rather than the benefits it'll have for me in the future. The number doesn't necessarily matter all that much to me... it's always been how I look in my clothes. So I think your way of measuring is a really good idea. It would be great to stop obsessing! My cardiologist said he thinks everything is fine, and continues to stress that he thinks all my issues are stress related. So ... moral of the story is, I NEED TO STOP STRESSIN OUT! haha.

I just looked up the book you mentioned...Push, I can get a "sample" on iBooks through my phone (where I seem to read the most) so I'm definitely going to look into it. Thank you. I need someone who can inspire me and give good advice ...hopefully help me get my life back on track.

I didn't realize FL is having such a dry spell! My parents are down in the Sarasota/Venice area for the winter, they said the weather has been beautiful! You can have some of our rain... we're supposed to get 2 inches...hopefully the temp doesn't drop (we're in the high 30's) cause then we'll end up with 2 FEET! Yikes!!

Vacation?? Where are you headed!! That's very exciting!

I started reading the book...Push... So far I really like it. I bought the sample... 85 pages (on my phone...not sure what that would be in the actual book) and I finished them in my lunch hour... it ended with setting life priorities.

Yay for a car wash, and of course you're gonna get rain now haha! You know when I had my back window replaced after the garage door fiasco that they apparently put my back wiper blade on upside down? I didn't notice for a couple of weeks and then when I went to use it I heard a weird noise - it had cleaned a nice spot on the back of my car LOL. I'm hoping John can fix it so I don't have to travel back to have it done :P

Unfortunately the entire blade assembly is on upside down. I'm pretty sure John can fix it though. And we've had quite a bit of rain so far this winter (very little snow) but I guess I'm not in the habit of using the back wiper that much. I'll need it for the snow so we better get this taken care of haha!

Workout was good. About 40 mins not including stretching. Here we have the best whisky - Scottish! I don't drink it often and usually it's with a lot of water. Gets me drunk too fast!

Good Morning Started the day out with Max Interval Circuit, great workout, I'm still sweating..LOL The fog that was really thick earlier is finally diminishing now that the sun is up..Well I better keep it moving and prep for work.Happy Friday all

Day was slow to start and picked up later in the aftenoon.. It was so so but at this point nothing will affect me since my brain is already in vacation mode(9 days and counting)  Truly burned out from work and I didn't even think twice when I stopped for a glass of wine at my fav after work spot without regrets.. Got home a little later than the norm so I have to get some fuel in me..Good Night!!!!

RYC: My bf has a decent job working for a state department, great benefits, good pay, good hours, great time off, but he doesn't find the work he does to be fullfilling in the slightest... he always says that he can't see himself sticking it out for another 20 years to retirement. So we're hoping to make a change for both of us. He has been looking into cooking, and I've always been in the industry and for the most part enjoy it... so I told him we should think about moving to some small town and open a restaurant! We'll see where that goes... just an idea.

Yes, Tony's a rather funny guy! I've started out with the "lean" version...which is only one workout a day, and I'm alternating it with my boxing class...but what did you think of it? Do you feel like after a month you were seeing results?

I did some research on your weather there in February and it looks like it's a complete unknown! So I guess we'll be packing for anything from high to low temps. Thankfully all the pools are heated and you know us northerners will be going in no matter what :P Hope you have a good one!

RE the za'atar - "is a generic name for a family of related Middle Eastern herbs from the genera Origanum (Oregano), Calamintha (Basil thyme), Thymus (typically Thymus vulgaris, i.e., Thyme), and Satureja (Savory).It is also the name for a condiment made from the dried herb(s), mixed with sesame seeds, dried sumac, and often salt, as well as other spices." J ordered a box of it online after we had a meal cooked with it in a restaurant. It's good stuff!

Thanks, V! Skinny does sound like scrawny and no muscles doesn't it? Thin is okay, but fit is the best! As I told Biscotti: RYC the neighbour is someone I hardly see but have only seen her often recently as she's involved with the fight against those wind turbines. I usually wear leggings and a big fleece top in which I look very thin and that's when she knocks on the door. But she could have kept that comment to herself. She's normally thin but is complaining that she's gaining weight (she's about 65).

Good Morning So I discovered that this morning's Max Recovery  was the class I always swapped out for a traditional yoga class..Realized this 15 minutes in but kept going to see if I felt the same and I did..LOL The exercises were really good but the pace was way too fast to get a decent stretch in so next week I am subbing it out with "Power Yoga"

It is a bit cloudy here today but the temps are going to be decent so I hope it will be a good shift..Have a wonderful day all

Hey back from my day..It was a little busier than yesterday so I am thankful for that.. Feeling like i still needed more of a stretch, I did a 30 minute class after work and it def helped with the soreness..  Good evening!!

RYC: Yes I was excited that they worked! I did my first one last night...it was a good workout, I couldn't do everything (which I expected) but I didn't find myself getting all sweaty like I do with cardio at the gym. I'm going to keep going though, alternating between p90x, kickboxing at my boxing gym, and regular cardio and my regular gym. I have WAY too many gym memberships haha.

Good Morning  I had a late start to my workout(techincal difficulties with the laptop) I was up early but since my computer skills are lackluster, it took me a while to figure out what the issue was..LOL

I got in a Max Cardio Conditioning class, it's been at least 3 months since I did this class but man what a great workout.. Well I have to keep it short since I wil probably need lots of time to rearrange my bar so I will catch up with you all later..Have a wonderful day all

Good Morning Just completed Max Plyo Interval class..Good start to the day and I am determined not to procrastinate the laundry today.. I guess the first step woud be to get off the computer and get to it...LOL  Hane a wonderful day all, catch up with you later

I was really good with setting out fairly early and got laundry duty out the way..I should start going early more often since it wasn't crowded, not to mention that the rest of the day and afternoon was all mine.. I called my bff in Chicago to chat it up as well as get the name of that gym/dojo down the street from her house so I could check out the class options online for my upcoming trip..We ended up talking for hours..LOL I really miss her and can't wait to see her!  Ended the day with a Relief class, a good day indeed..  Good Evening!

Warmer weather?! Here? Well, when we are blessed with a warm day I like to sit on one of our wooden benches up on the hill behind the house. Our porch is small but I do like to sit on it sometimes.

Good Morning Nice day off yesterday, I didn't do much after shopping for groceries since the "Toys for Tots" motorcycle run was in full effect..It was the biggest one by far this time and lots of road closures and detours so I didn't dare venture out anywhere else since the roads were a bit like a giant parking lot..LOL

Stayed up pretty late watching movies got in a good night's sleep and this morning I was supposed to do Max Cardio condition but put in the wrong disc..It was one of the bonus ones from Insanity(Max Sports Conditioning) I never done this one so I rolled with it..Nice class, it was alot like "Game and Championship Day" minus the agility ladder..Hour long mix of Boxing, Basketball, Football, Gymnastics and Track.. I really enjoyed it, especially the boxing..

Well I better get a move on with the chores so I will chat with you all later..Have a happy, healthy start to your week

So I blew off the doing the laundry and I am sure I will regret it tomorrow but I just wasn't feeling it..LOL  The plus side is I got my meals for the week prepped/ cooked early so I had the opportunity to enjoy the day..I added an Ab Shredder class this evening..

Nate does not show interest in home improvement stuff at all - but he will help with small chores. We've been at a turning point lately - he's desperately trying to hold onto some of his baby habits and at the same time he's trying to do "big kid" stuff like big bro to prepare for kindergarten. They're also fiercely competing for our attention so it's important I spend enough time with him when it's just the 2 of us!

In our area of Scotland we don't normally get big snows, but there can be blizzards in other areas of Scotland. We are on the sea and the water is always 50F+ so that makes the snow melt when we do get it. Our normal winter weather is rain and high winds. I took the bus to the gym, won't drive on a snowy road as there's nothing to stop me from sliding right into the water!!

That sounds like a really interesting work out... I've been debating on whether to get back into my P90X workout or not...my biggest problem is, it's not just do I want to start doing the P90X, it's do I want to clean and organize the basement so I have enough room in front of the TV to do P90X haha... that's been holding me back a bit I think. But every time I read your post I'm a bit more inspired to clean up so I can start the class. :)

Thanks! That kid is awesome. Loved how he handled his guitar. My normal grocery day is Thursday after spin class. Can't remember the last time I shopped on a weekend.

Good Morning I could barely keep my eyes open last night at 10pm so I went to bed instead of passing out in front of the tv which I was bound to do.. It's okay because I am sure I can catch that new episode some time in the next few days..LOL

Completed an Ab Shredder class this morning to mix things up a bit. I am sure I will do a stretch class later, feeling it in the obliques..

In other news today is the last day of hurricane season..I am so thankful that this area was clear of any of the major storms.. Temps today are supposed to get in the 80's so it looks like beach conditions will be perfect.. Off to get prepped for work, hope you all have a lovely day, happy Friday

Hey all back from my day..It was a busy busy one and a little stressful due to my co worker being over medicated(prescription mind you) but none the less she doesn't seem to have a care in the world nor sense of urgency for anything except for that one task..Don't get me wrong, the people that she chooses to dote her attention on are well taken care of but the rest not so much..I have attention issues as well but I choose not to take meds for it.. I still walked with decent sum so thankful of that!

Anyhoo after I left work, needing to blow off some steam and shake the edgy feeling off before I went home(didn't want to bring any of the negative energy in my house if this makes sense) I stopped off at my neighborhood Bistro with all intentions of just chilling and eating dinner there, do a few of today's crossword puzzles and gab it up with my friend/bartender there.. I order a drink and "Debbie Downer" (ironically enough her name is Debby, the entire staff calls her that as well, LOL) sits right next to me(I am the only person at the bar at this point) and starts to dump all of her issues on me and after the day I had, I just wasn't feeling it   I took a couple of sips of my drink, ordered my salad to go and excused myself to the healthfood store next door.. I really didn't need anything from the store but I just didn't want to be a megabiatch to this broad so I stepped away from the situation..

Happy to be home and now I am going to eat my dinner in peace, totally wasn't planning on having vino tonight but in this case it is "medicinal purpose" only..LOL

Good Night all!

B- Almond Breeze shake with whey protein, 1/2 banana, natural pb and strawberries

L- Chicken Breast and Crab salad on ww low carb bun with ff cheddar pepper jack, lettuce, tomato.. 6 Tortilla chips

S- Kicking Crab Soup

S-   a few sips of Van Gogh Blueberrry Vodka and Soda

D- Grilled Salmon atop spring mix, sprouts, tomato, cucumber, black olives, 1/2 boiled egg, blue cheese crumbles, red wine vin, lemon wedge..2 glasses of Panul(red blend)

Progress as of today: 93 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!

I didn't think you were glued to that game last night! Poor Drew. I guess everyone has a bad game once in awhile, but his streak of throwing a touchdown pass for 54 straight games has ended. I hope he can hold on to his record! Enjoy the nice weather and I am glad to be back!! Parents update is on my entry!
