Good Morning Ladies I had great success with the snooze button this morning and started my Max Plyo class at 6:45.. It wasn't nearly as evil as I expected it to be..There is ALOT of pushups in this one, ALOT of new ones to boot..I really liked the squat pushups, just like it sounds you are in a squat position, go down to a pushup, knees parallel to the floor and you propel back up to squat postiton..There was also the crazy twist on the"Plyo Pushup" where you get airborne to standing position..Overall a stellar workout for the shoulders, arms and core(my obliques are screaming) LOL

Well now that I have stopped sweating profusely, I am going to get cleaned up..It is sunny right now but there is a huge batch of rain South of here in the gulf that is slowly creeping this way..Still have to prep just in case.. Hope you all have a happy healthy day

Hey back from my day..The rain actually held out during my shift, which was a hot one, 92 degrees, very muggy and no breeze.. We had a few brave souls that withstood the heat so it was okay but far from stellar.. When the opportunity to leave arose, I  took it because I knew that it would eventually rain..Sure enough it did around 5ish..

Well I am off to catch up with my girls and get some fuel, the Quiche came out amazing! It was so good, I am having a slice for dinner as well! 

During/post workout- L-Glutamine

B- Almond Breeze shake with whey protein, 1/3 banana and strawberries

L- Spinach, Portabella and Lean Smoked Turkey Sausage Quiche, 1 plum

S- Smoked Fish Spread, SP Fries

D- Spinach, Portabella and  Lean Smoked Turkey Sausage Quiche, small piece of Lean Turkey Loaf..Steamed Cauliflower..2 glasses of Primal Roots(Red Blend)

1 1/2 gallons of water.. lf Cottage Cheese(pre bedtime)

Squat push up sounds like contortions to me :o) I am just now able to do a couple of full body PUs, but it's a start! You certainly are extra perky this morning-love being around that enthusasim!

Good Morning  Okay Max Interval Circuit  ROCKSLots of punching and plank work involved..Loved the pedal sprints/lunge(Mary Katherine) and I even got through the deadly full body drill at the end, had to go to my knees for a minute with the plank punches, that one move had everyone including Shaun T on the floor speechless..LOL It def was a full body attack..My obliques are really sore(burn baby burn) and I finally stopped sweating 35 minutes after class.. The classes in this month are an hour long so I am going to have to stop hitting that snooze button so many times in the morning so I will have proper cool down time before work..

I am super excited about tomorrow's class Max Plyo which was described as "a Demon from the Apocalypse" LOL.. Time to get the day started, I have laundry and trying out a new recipe I snagged from Muscle and Fitness..It is a Spinach,Mushroom and LF Swiss Quiche..I am tweaking the recipe slightly by using eggwhites and adding some smoked turkey sausage in there for extra protein as well as using a whole wheat pie crust.. Have a Happy Healthy Monday Ladies

Back from my day! meals for the week made, weighed, bagged and tagged..Got a late start to making the quiche but it looks and smells fantabulous! If I wasn't craving wings so bad, I would have had a slice for dinner.. This is going to be a great filler packed with protein as far as lunch goes..I am supposed to eat 6 small meals a day but it is next to impossible when I am working.. I completed a Cardio Abs class this evening and going to see how your day went, get some fuel and get ready for "American Ninja Warrior". The finals are tonight, Mt. Midoriamo baby!! STOKED!! Hahahaha have a great evening!

During/Post workout- L- Glutamine Powder

B- Almond breeze shake with whey protein, 1/3 banana, blueberries and strawberries

S- 1 Plum

L- Grill Cheese with lf cheddar and Turkey Pastrami on  2 slices of whole wheat very thin.. Deviled Egg Potato Salad with Chipotle Tabasco Sauce

S- Smoked Turkey Sausage with Fontina cheese

D- Chicken Wings Mole..Steamed Broccoli and Cauliflower..Glass of Pinot Grigio, Glass of Red Blend

hey there! I see you are still having shakes...I feel like I'm always reaching for something "easier" like my fave plain nonfat greek or icelandic yogurts with tons of pumpkin, cinnamon, chocolate stevia added in (no blender required!)...but I love shakes! as soon as I move out, I sense a huge increase in my protein shake intake :-)

the classes you take, are they on video or at a studio? they sound awesome! I work best around people though...I would probably FAIL with videos at home, which is why I do NOT do them!

Good Evening Ladies I had a nice relaxing day off.. I did my usual grocery trip, I chilled, watched movies and did a little prep work for my meals for the week.. Good Morning Just finished my CCB class and I am sure that I will add an abs class later to work on "project ab mayhem"  It is going to be another hot one today..It is already 80 and temps are expected to be in the 90's..I am off to prep for work so I will chat with you all later, have a good day

Good Evening Ladies  I had internet issues this morning but I am up and running again..Well my neighbor's party went on till the wee hours of the morning along with a loud explosion and a small fire in their yard..That is when the po po came to shut them down.. I manage to get a decent night's rest in spite of the noise..I did my Cardio Core and Balance class this morning and getting pretty antsy  for "Recovery Week" to be over.. I have lots of ya yas to release dangit, but I will have to wait til Monday..LOL

Work was decent despite the intense heat as well as an afternoon rainshower that lasted 30 minutes. It wasn't enough to send customers scrambling for refuge indoors, but afterwards it heated up even more....Well I am off to see how goes it with you all..I hope your day was a good one

B- Almond Breeze shake with whey protein, 1/3 banana, blueberries and strawberries

Good Morning!  Happy Independence Day Started the day off with Cardio Core and Balance and I am sure I will add an abs class in later..I have to work today just as all of my friends so it is no biggie and at least I get the patrons that are starting their day instead of latter evening where I am sure there will be lots of "wobbly people" LOL  I am hoping for a smooth shift and get off the beach before the heavy traffic of people wanting to see the fireworks show.. Well I better keep it moving, chat with you all later..Have a Stellar day

Hey all! Back from my day..It wasn't bad at all but then again, I did exit stage left as all of the drunkards(including a few of the staff members) started to trickle in.. Getting off the beach was a breeze since everyone was there, kind of a ghost town inland, that is except for my next door neighbor who is having a party..It has been going strong since I left for work this morning and hopefully they will be kind enough to turn down the music later tonight..Don't get me wrong, they are playing some really good tunes but it is really loud(right now it is Eminem)

Anyhoo I got a Cardio Abs class done and off to see how your holiday is shaping up and get some fuel...

Will you go to the fireworks show? We have been traveling on the 4th some years and have been them in Brevard, NC, New York City on the Hudson, Madison WI and Harrodsburg, KY on Lake Cumberland. I don't know if we will go downtown to see them tonight or not. We'll see - hope to take in a movie with Mark - Dark Shadows matinee.....his choice. :o) Stay cool and enjoy your evening!

Very late response to your comment on the polenta - yes, I pan fry it with nonstick cooking spray. I've been buying the loose bags of it and I boil it up and stick it in a loaf pan in the fridge. Then I cut into slices and pan fry. I made a ton of it this time and pre sliced and froze it and that's been working out great - I can fry it up frozen for a quick and filling side dish!

Thats interesting info on getting optimal sleep, especially about the hot bath. I never thought about a hot bath before bedtime disrupting my sleep. I love hot baths at the end of a long day, so Im curious on how early you would have to take this bath so it wont interrupt your sleep later. Before kids, I used to be a stomach sleeper. Once I became pregnant with Ethan, I was forced to become a side sleeper (mostly left side). Occasionally, I will wake up on my back, so I guess Im a back sleeper too.

Good Morning I just finished up my Cardo Core and Balance class..I actually tried sleeping on my back last night and it was a bit comical because I started overthinking it..LOL I am a def stomach sleeper but as someone who has acid reflux stomach sleeping is the worse postiton.. The article made alot of sense that stomach sleeping makes it difficult to keep the spine in a neutral postion and can cause neck and joint pain as well as tense muscles..Anyhoo I woke up on my side, LOL The article did say that side sleepers are generally safe... Okay enough of my ramblings, I gotta get ready for work..I will chat with you all later, Have a Happy Healthy Day

Hey ladies! Thanks for all of your comments about your sleeping postions..I attempted to see if i could find the article online so I could post it  but it was a no go..It is def worth reading if you have the opportunity..It is in Muscle and Fitness Hers July/August issue, titled" Get Stronger while you sleep"

It was brutally hot today and slow to boot, I am sure it is due to the fact that the holiday is smack dab in the middle of the week..We got a few early arrivals at work today and because my GM is so money hungry,oops cost efficient(BTW we call him Mr. Crabs, as in Spongebob Square Pant's boss. LOL)  he let them in early(30 minutes to be exact)  Needless to say I didn't get enough fuel this afternoon, I picked when I could and the rest I had to toss out..Well I am off to see what you all are up to and get a decent meal in..Gotta fuel the machine

B- Almond Breeze shake with whey protein, 1/3 banana, blueberries and strawberries

I used to have acid reflux but it's settled down now. Not fun! I can't sleep on my back because I'm guaranteed to snore if I do. I sleep on my side.

Interesting, I was a stomach sleeper for most of my life and I can't stay that way through the night anymore, it hurts my back. I tend to change positions a lot but now I often end up on my back since that feels best. Can't fall asleep that way though :P

I used to sleep on my stomach with my hands placed under my hipbones - that was my preferred sleeping position for the longest time. I can't do that anymore, I don't know why. Happy Healthy day to you, too!

Funny talking about everyone's different sleeping position! I hope you cure your acid reflux though, that's no fun. I start out flat on my back and then wind up on my stomach with my knee all the way up to my chest. That's how I knew I had gotten too heavy - my knee could not get to my chest - there was a belly in the way!!! Belly is gone and knee is back in my chest!!! Maybe if you prop up with several pillows you could sleep on your back but have enough of an incline to keep that acid down. My MIL started sleeping in her recliner because it helped her. I wouldn't want to be in a chair all night, but I little incline could be helpful. Hope you have a great day at the beach bar! Do you have to work tomorrow?

I always sleep on my stomach or my right side but I know it is bad for me. I also have acid reflux and it sucks. I have tried prilosec and it doesn't help whatsoever my doc just thinks she knows everything.

I have heard that you can elevate the actualy headboard of your bed 3-4 inches and that helps with acid reflux and sleeping on your back. We used to do that for baby Rachel when she was an infant/toddler and had earaches so often. It seemsed to help that, too. Flat on my back is not comforatble, so I do prop up with a "wedge" foam pillow. That's pretty good.

Love it that you call your boss Mr Crabs, of course I heard it in Spongebob's voice!! He He I am a side sleeper but sometime end up with one arm under my pillow and one leg and arm in foetal position and the other straight!!! It's actaully quite comfy:) I am not envying you your weather and it is making me really enjoy my chilly 60's days:) Hope you have a good day today:) You are fast asleep at the moment, ah! lovely! Good Morning Ladies  This is my Recovery Week for Insanity, meaning Cardio Core and Balance class every day this week.. I completed the class earlier and although the intensity isn't as high, I still sweated like crazy! LOL This time I am def taking it easy and probably throw in a few ab classes and a yoga class..Other than that no hard core extras. Other than the usual laundry, cleaning and prepping this week's meals, not much else slated for today.. Well time to tackle this so I can enjoy the rest of my day.. Hey back from my day..I got my usual chores done, and slacked off on the rest after mopping my floor..LOL  Hey at least the important stuff was done..Hahahaha I read an interesting article that was in July/August issue of "Muscle and Fitness Hers" as I did laundry today..It is titled "Get stronger while you sleep" It lists 11 tips for a deeper more restful sleep..A couple of tips stood out to me like the one that suggests to sleep on your back to minimize aches, pains and acid reflux.. also the tip that suggests taking hot baths early since a lower body temp will allow a deeper sleep will help maximize hormonal production and recover from the previous day's workout..

Anyhoo I added a Cardio Abs class this evening and I am off to catch up with you ladies, get some fuel and unwind..I hope your day was a stellar one!!

B- Almond Breeze shake with whey protein, 1/3 banana, blueberries and strawberries

S- 1 Plum

L- Neptune Salad(Crab meat, onions, green and red peppers,in sf italian dressing) ww baked crackers, lf cottage cheese

D- Lean Ground Turkey meat taco on low carb Whole Wheat Tortilla with Whole grain Brown Rice, rf cheddar and jack, spinach and Tapitito...Glass of Chenin Blanc, Glass of Gnarly Head(red blend)

1 gallon of water..Casein Shake(pre bedtime)

Even a recovery week is still a pretty active one. Will you miss the hard core extras though? Sometimes it's hard not to push oneself, but I guess you just listen to your body. Enjoy the day of all your prep work.

Awwwww, Happy birthday Tony! Interesting tips for sleep. I do notice that sleeping on my back helps with the hip and shoulder aches. Thanks for sharing. I was taking the alteril every night, but I keep forgeting lately. I am sleeping better in that I wake up in the middle of the night for a shorter period of time, but it would so much better if I didn't wake up at all - til morning, of course!! Have a nice night. Has your weather gone back to the usual hot hot hot temps of summer in FL??

Good Evening Beauties Pretty chill day off..Although I forgot to turn my alarm off last night, I immediately went back to sleep after I shut it down at 5:30 this morning.. After getting up the second time around still feeling pretty cashed from my work week, heat and Insanity, I went about my shopping trip for groceries.. Made a quick pit stop to OBistro to take my friend Marty a sandwich..They have awesome sammies there but I get how you can get burned out on the food where you work.. Had a complimentary Bloody Mary there and came home and chillaxed the rest of the day..I did a Stretch class..Well I better get going so I can catch up with you all, and get some fuel before American Ninja Warrior marathon! Have a good evening

OK, so I posted already on the previous post and missed you! Nice to have a sleep in, I never seem to manage to stay in bed even though there is no reason to get up. Mind you I am in bed by 9am most nights. Def a morning person:) Enjoy your marathon:)
