Good Morning Divas!!! Time to get my day started, it was a no go for the A.M. workout

I went to bed super early and still found myself unable to sleep...After finally drifting off around 1ish and that alarm going off at 5, I got up hoping to have lots of energy...I want to make sure when I do the workouts, I am giving it my all and more so I decided to wait til I get home this evening

Well lovelies it is off to another fun filled day at the beach, much love to you

Good evening ladies!!!  Just completed day 3 of Turbo Fire and I stand before you Turbo Charged!!! LOL @ Hollybelle's comment YES I did drink the Kool Aid and the nectar is sooo sweet!! Today's class was a 30 minute "fire class" and 10 minute stretch...I feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins!!! wooohooo!!

Thank you Biscotti, Sweetpea and Umpqua for all of your helpful comments and suggestions, you all have very valid points as to the reason I can't sleep....The workouts reall do make you feel like you could go run a marathon afterwards so I am certain that is a major factor due to the "after burn effect"

I haven't had a cup of coffee past the morning(it has been a week) so I am wondering is it possible for the java to have the opposite effect on me??? You know I could put away a pot of the stuff and fall fast asleep in no time flat....I think my biggest battle is shutting my brain off when i am in bed as well...It is a bit REDONKULOUS how my mind is all over the place and it winds me up something fierce!  If I listen to music it is even worse, which is also why I have a strict no TV in the  bedroom policy..

Sorry for such a wordy post, i just wanted to give you a little more info on my inability to fall fast asleep...

Work was really busy and Annette(from the healthfood store) stopped by with fresh baked "vegan"(dairy/sugar/flourless) carrot cupcakes LOl!!! I know I know,1 won't hurt BUT but if i want to define/sculpt/fine tune my muscles i can't eat things like that on a regular basis....So I took a few bites and it sure was yummy....After she left the bar, saved the remainder of the treat and the others were given to my fellow co workers...My plan of attack is to decrease my dinner portion so that will be a part of my meal tonight... Well girls time to read some diaries...I hope everyone has a wonderful evening

B- Starbucks, banana oat date ball, 1 pink lady apple

L- lean turkey patty, 1 slc ff cheddar, 1 slc extra lean turkey bacon, lettuce wrap spicy mustard

D- lean turkey veggie loaf, romaine cucumbers, red onions, orange peppers, sunflower kernels, ff feta, red wine vin,

1 gallon water 2 celsius

OH Biscotti, i forgot to tell you that with this program I have 1 day  of rest (no workouts)

Progress as of today: 92.9 lbs lost so far, only -0.9 lbs to go!

KathyBlue on 03/03/2011:
TurboFire, I guess! :))) How is it? I don't have it yet.

loveray on 03/03/2011:
have a fun day and a sunny one for me!! excited to hear how you like the new workouts:)

sweetpea1977 on 03/03/2011:
I wonder if the combination of your nighttime workouts and Starbucks are the culprits of keeping you up so late at night? Do you find that you fall asleep quicker on your days off from exercise? Just curious!

Have a wonderful day at work!!

Umpqua on 03/03/2011:
Yeah, I was wondering if you were a little too fired up from the Turbofire :) One of the wonderful benefits of low carb for me has been sleep, I drop off as soon as I turn off the light and sleep really deeply. I hope that continues when I add them back. Have a good one!

biscottibody59 on 03/03/2011:
http://www.caffeineaholic.net/2010/05/celsius-orange.html

Don't know if this is the same formula as you're drinking, perhaps push back your consumption (if you're drinking them in the evening) or cut back a little. Just to see if it makes a difference in your sleep.

Also, since you're changing up your exercise, more rest days may be needed 'til your body catches up.

Have a lovely day!

geevee on 03/03/2011:
Psychic Mom did make an appearance, tho it was brief but memorable. Her face looked more monstruous. I swear, it's totally immobile! Her daughter I'm going to nickname "hot Lips" did a wonderful impression of her in the following show w/lAlndy Cohen. She did own up to having botox treatments.

I think Lea Black has had everything possible done!

hollybelle on 03/03/2011:
Oh, my gosh V - you "drank teh koolaid"! All I hear from my daughter is Beachbody, P90X, Turbofire, Insanity, Brazillian Butt Lift, Shakeology, you name it. It's a GOOD thing, though. She is going to Ohio next month to get certified and try to start some classes around here. I'm excited for her. You can see her profile through my FB friends and it will take you to her BeachBody Coach website. Her Success Story is on there, too. She's 19 and full of energy - and it sounds like you could give her a run for her $$!! Chalene Johnson (TurboFire) has a 30 day Organization Challenge that daughter did in January - it really seems to have helped her focus on school.....I hope. It's all good. Now Mom (me)just needs to get kicking with it! Seriously these are great programs.

Runforfun on 03/03/2011:
Have a great day, V!!

lifestylechange on 03/03/2011:
<3 you!

Runforfun on 03/03/2011:
Oh man. Cupcakes are my weekness! They are so cute and little! They seem so harmless! haha.

getmebackto150 on 03/03/2011:
my back feels much better today!!

emmy'smom-mom on 03/04/2011:
Wow V, you sure are on a mission! What about a relaxing bath before bed to help you sleep? Have you every tried lavender. If you get the oil, rub it on your feet or use the spray on your pillow and bedding. It knocks me out and I sleep like a baby! Have a great day my dear xxx

KathyBlue on 03/04/2011:
Noo I didn't order it, but I'm going to get it sooner or later :o) Don't worry :-)

sweetpea1977 on 03/04/2011:
I have the same problem of not being able to shut off my brain. It doesnt happen every night, but when it does, I find it super-frustrating!!

I like emmy's suggestion. I will be doing that A LOT after the baby arrives. Oh, and epsom salt baths are great too, especially after a kick-ass workout. :)

Sorry about your owl nightmare--I find them fascinating myself! But then again I've never been attacked by one in my dreams:-)

legcramps on 03/02/2011:
So glad to hear that Turbo Fire is going well for you! Sounds like you're getting some extra energy from it - always good :)

moogy on 03/02/2011:
You go and sort things out the way you want them!! I will catch you later!

Umpqua on 03/02/2011:
OK so, all this low carbing is leading up to Saturday. We're going to the other house and putting in several hours of labor cleaning, painting, doing minor repairs and getting it ready for the new tenant. Then hubby and I are going out to our old favorite Mexican joint, where we'll have nachos and margaritas! Agh, way to take a huge detour into carbland. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm scared LOL. Here's my plan: have a little wine Friday night with my steak because it will be oh so good ;) Then Saturday during the day revert to my regular eating - a green fruit smoothie for breakfast, packed lunch of maybe tuna in a lavash wrap and fruit and Kashi bar for snack. So I'll get more carbs than I have been during the day, but all good stuff. Then the dinner.

What do you think? I'm afraid I'll have a few sips of margarita and a few chips and be passed out at the table in a carb coma! Hubby thinks I'm going to eat like five chips and be stuffed. That would be nice, but I doubt it after a hard day of working at the apartment. Any advice on doing this transition gently is appreciated! Oh and Sunday and next week I was planning to just go back to my regular eating, but keeping an eye on my carbs. I'm thinking I may try to keep it in the 20-30 range.

Umpqua on 03/02/2011:
Good advice, many thanks! The Kashi bar is probably loaded with carbs, nice catch. I had gotten into a habit with snacking on those too, I'll need to eat less of them moving forward. I can bring veggies and seeds and some fruit, but I guess I shouldn't overdo it with the fruit either. Maybe some cheese.

I can't say no to the margarita mix at this place. It is my favorite margarita mix! It's not even anything special, but they do make their own mix and I love the taste. I've had yummy boutique margaritas with 1,000 year old Gran Marnier, blah blah blah, but these are just regulation and they're so good. I'll go slow and definitely drink water (no way can I eat that salty food without loads of water) and try not to overdo it with the chips. I don't want to get ill from this meal!

Another good thing is I want to walk to the restaurant, and it's around 10 blocks each way. So I'm hoping fresh air and a brisk walk afterwards will ward off any evil LOL.

moogy on 03/02/2011:
I am lying around not doing much - just stopped by to say :) in case you were worrried!! My tongue is still pretty painful so I am sticking with soft food! Love you!

Umpqua on 03/02/2011:
Thanks, I checked it out - her stuff looks yummy. She's pricey to ship but I think I can make stuff like that at home. My low-carb book has some pretty good recipes but there aren't calorie counts. Next time I make something I'll calculate those too and maybe make some lowfat tweaks to bring down the cal count. Heh, now I'm excited to bake up some snacks!

biscottibody59 on 03/02/2011:
Okay, I used to use this website (http://www.healthcentral.com/cholesterol/home-body-fat-test-2774-143.html) and I just now plugged in my numbers (just for grins) from yesterday's body measurements and it was 34.2%.

That website breaks down the lean/fat along with giving the BF percentage.

So what I've been using lately is an Omron handheld BF monitor that I got about a year ago and it measured close to that from the above website.

fat in pounds = body wt X fat% (press the % key if using a calculator), so the LEAN is body wt minus fat in pounds

Does that make any sense?

Runforfun on 03/02/2011:
I'm glad you like your new dvd! ha.. sounds like you are really enjoying it! :)

biscottibody59 on 03/02/2011:
Oh and I just wanted to say--besides my goal of 25ish% BF--this is all something to go by--it's better than nothing in my opinion. Just one more tool--along with, "How do I feel?" etc.

For my age I shouldn't go below the low 20s%. For now let me just MAKE it to the 20s--haha--then sustain it.

lifestylechange on 03/03/2011:
Hey V-- I was just checking out the link to that oxygen magazine on the DD fb site...Thanks for sharing, I'm going to have to pick up that issue for sure:) HUGS

Good Evening Divas!!!! I just finished my first TURBO FIRE!!!! WoooHOOO!! 2 thumbs up! I think this should do the trick with getting "maxed out" lean definition..I am already looking forward to tomorrow's workout!!Along with the 10 workouts, and an intro DVD, I received an additional Bonus workout!!!

Today's class was the 30 minute Fire, 10 minute stretch, my favorite part were the 4 "fire drills" where you take your workout to the next level by giving it all you got non stop H I I T for a minute...There is lots of moves/choreography that takes a little time to get down to a science, but if you are up to the challenge and you want to go hard, well this is the workout for you I was head to toe covered in sweat and loving it!!!! Hurrahhhh! Well off to read some diaries and update my menu on my previous post from this morning....I feel super charged, what a rush!!! LOL

Progress as of today: 92.9 lbs lost so far, only -0.9 lbs to go!

moogy on 03/01/2011:
Excellent, I am so glad that it was everything that you wanted, and a little bit more. You sound really pumped! It sounds exciting, exteeme and unfortunately sweaty, which you would love!!! So perfect!!

moogy on 03/01/2011:
I just slept for a couple of hours and am still very tired. It is hard to eat because my tongue is so swollen from chewing on it!!!! Yuk!! my calves feel like I have run a couple of miles. I wonder how many calories you burn when you have a seizure???? My daughter goes to the doc's next week and he is our family doc, when I go he asks about her and vice versa, so if he thinks I will have actually caused some damage to my brain (so the neurologist can see something - he couldn't last time)he will give me a refererral letter and I will go through the whole machines, lead and general pass in the ass tests that I did last time.

moogy on 03/01/2011:
Yes, on reading that back, I would have to say my brain is not working correctly. 1. leads 2. pain

Runforfun on 03/01/2011:
Ah! Sounds exciting!! Glad you like it!

shell2418 on 03/01/2011:
I was just looking for Turbo Fire today - hello expensive!!! But I really need/want some seriously intense cardio. So I am assuming it is worth the money - (based on your reaction).

Sounds like a fun workout!! Thanks for all your well wishes.. I need em..lol

Good Morning Beautiful Girls Although showers are expected NOTHING will rain on my parade, I am on Turbo Fire watch and Starbucks awaits me so life couldn't be much sweeter unless I had the entire Gucci's fall collection....For those of you who didn't know it was fashion week in Milan (last week) So far I have watched the live stream fashion show 20 times Gucci's show was all about every shade of greens browns and deep red...I just watched it a few hours ago after having a really bad dream that I sat up in my bed heart pounding and in a cold sweat....

As many of you know I have alot of fears and theories about alot of animals and insects that most of you would deem harmless(as well as my issues with clowns but there is never enough time to adress this one so you would have to read my thesis on them, LOL ) Not getting off track here just catching you newer girls up to speed....

Before this nightmare I've never had issues with owls, but after my dream, it is added to my seemingly evergrowing list...This Evil Spawn of Satan had my brother(#2) and I trapped not letting us leave the house and everywhere we found an escape route there he was with his bulging angry eyes and he had a mustache too??? I think he was attempting to steal our souls!!! It was truly frightening...

I don't know about you ladies but you can't trust anything that it's head can do a complete 360, case in point the chick in "The Exorcist" she certainly destroyed a few lives, There is a painter by the name of Remedios Varos,  an Irrelist who has a reccuring white owl theme in several of his paintings...The owl represents Old Nick himself(Satan) So before you all sit on your thrones of judgment let us ponder this for a bit! LOL  Sorry I got a little carried away, but dramatics(but very factual) were necessary to prove my point....Ladies I rest my case and I shall chat with you all after you let this all simmer, thanks for your time have a wonderful day girles

Update**** The wait continues for my beloved workout that FedEx guaranteed delivery on or before 7pm...sigh LOL!!!! In the meantime I leave you with Old Siggy Freud's interpretation of my dream

Owl
To see an owl in your dream, symbolizes wisdom, insight, magic, expanded awareness and virtue. You are highly connected to your intuitive senses and psychic power. The owl is also synonymous with death, darkness and the unconscious. The appearance of an owl may be telling you to let go of the past or certain negative behaviors.

To hear the hoot of an owl in your dream, denotes disappointments and death. Your unconscious mind may be trying to get your attention.

To see a dead owl in your dream, signifies some illness or death.?Death in this sense may be a symbolic death, as in an important transition in life or the end of a negative habit.

To dream that an owl is trying to peck your eyes out, means lacking insight. There is an issue that you are trying desperately to avoid.

Umpqua on 03/01/2011:
Sounds like a creepy dream! I saw an owl (I was inside the house and it was outside, thankfully) when we first moved to the sticks. It was HUGE. Beautiful creature, but definitely creepy with the way it moved its head. Oh and not to add to your creepy crawlies, but also had a live baby stoat sneak in the house in the basement and that thing was on the loose for a couple of days. It looked like a small weasel and was actually cute, but I didn't want it running around the house. Our friend caught it and released it into the wild. I could tell you more stories about things the cats have brought in, but I won't :)

I love those Gucci colors, especially the reds. I can't wait to do some shopping later this week!

loveray on 03/01/2011:
hahah - i saw an owl recently as well. i think they are creepy, esp with the 360 heads, but apparently they are a sign that something or someone is trying to protect you and that you have great wisdom. google owl symbolism and you might like them better:) i hate clowns too!!!

getmebackto150 on 03/01/2011:
very creepy dream... can't wait to hear about turbo fire! Have a good one!

KathyBlue on 03/01/2011:
Turbo Fire :))) OMG, stupid nightmares. That can happen because of hunger, overeating, etc... sleeping is very affected by stomach issues.

"Those who think they have not time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness." ~Edward Stanley

Good Morning Lovely Girls Gonna keep it short and sweet, time to play catchup with my chores since I was a bad girl yesterday, it is such a lovely day, I can't wait to get a good walk in and sit on the Starbucks patio...Don't forget to e-mail your weekly challenges to me! Time  to get my GTL in plus groceries

Hey girlies!!! Wow did the day go by fast or what?? Well I managed to get it all in and had one pitstop to TJ Maxx to get some workout gear that actually fits..I only spent 22 bucks for 2 pair of pants, so not much damage done there After my shopping adventures I made it to Starbucks just as the lunch crowd were all heading back to work/class so it was nice to enjoy when it is not so packed...I did forget to bring the employees books that I have promised them for weeks now, but I put them by my door so I won't forget them tomorrow!!
I was slightly disappointed that my DVD's haven't arrived yet, I am so amped to get my Turbo on!!! I am sure I will be able to give my review on the workout tomorrow!!! Well it is off to read some diaries, unwind from the gym(Tattoo Face was all roided out and fired up,LOL) and have some grub...I hope everyone had a stellar day!!

It's hard to determine a goal because I know my body has changed a bit over the past few years. Then again, maybe it hasn't changed that much! I figure if I have a 10-pound healthy range in mind that covers all the bases and gives me room to settle in somewhere that feels right. I'm just going to have to wait and see what works, just like you did.

Thanks for the heads up on Marshalls. Ours is a bit of a hike but I was thinking of going to T.J. Maxx. Similar bargains and it's 15 minutes away. Have a good one!

Perfect timing for Starbucks V, that would have made you happy!! No chatty people to distract you! Fingers crossed that your Turbo discs arrrive tomorrow. It sounds like you are getting antsy. Hey! I noticed that you had a sandwich, I don't know if you have had one before and I haven't noticed, but, anyway, good for you!! Hugs:)

lifestylechange on 02/28/2011:
Glad you were able to get so much accomplished today...Just curious, what's your gym routine? MMMM, that dinner of yours always makes my belly growl -- it sounds soooo delish!! Love to you!

moogy on 02/28/2011:
I would never dream of buying baked goods. So yes, apparently I make the best muffins in the world. Although my audience may be biased, I have to say they are delicious. The one I had was by itself in the freezer, all cold and alone. It had been calling lonesomely for days, all through my struggles. I figured that as I wasn't struggling I was safe to rescue it!! Today I made a Chocolate Refrigerator Cake, that is yummy as well. The boys and hopefully the princess (she has never had it!) should eat half and the rest will be condemned to the deep freeze until next week. I tell you I have more will power than I give myself credit for. There is always something delicious hanging around here for my little babies!! I am a pretty good cook but I don't think I can come up with a decent recipe that doesn't include either flour or dairy - but you can live in hope!

sweetpea1977 on 02/28/2011:
I hope so! :)

Good Afternoon Beauties It's sunny here but I am wearing my shades cause I am a wee bit hungover I had a really good run with not drinking my calories, I think the last libations were consumed 2 weeks ago...I think Umpqua is right about my lower weight  playing a major factor with my tolerence to booze...Crazy that at my highest weight 3 cocktails would not do a thing for me and today I am still hurting as I am attempting to quietly type LOL!!! I also suspect that the Goose Portions were poured with a heavy hand......

Last night I had all intentions of going home until my crazy Georgia boys who have stopped in every day on their Boys golf vacation to make it rain on V comes in as I was closing and said they would be insulted if I didn't come out to have a drink with them and since their generosity alone paid for my Turbo Fire and a few other bills I didn't see the harm in obliging.....Well after nursing my 1 drink (well it was actually water) and talking to the guys for a bit I decided that I really did want a real drink so I wanted to get off the beach and closer to home so I went to PBG my local fav dive bar...I was surprised to walk in to an empty establishment, usually the place is packed with "industry people" with funny tales of drunken tourists....I asked Johnny what gives with the emptiness of the joint and he says "Well I guess the lady that had a heartattack and died right there( at PBG) cleared the place out around 6ish" Wow

Well ladies I am updating my menu from yesterday and I am hoping that after eating I will be back at 100% Right now I am about 54% LOL I don't want to eat dinner too early because of my drinking shennanagins, I didn't do groceries today so supplies are rationed!! LOL Talk to you all later

B-ZZZZZZZ Water Advil

L-banana oat date ball water Advil Urban Dextox

S- ZZZZZZZZZ Water detox tea

D- lean pork ribs, sauteed collards, the usual salad(running out of gas here) LOL

So far1 gallon water

UPDATE!!!!!  Homeostasis is at 100% now The minitaure gaggle of grey goose tap dancing in my head with 5 in Jimmy Choos have ceased and life is good!!!! LOL

Anyone else here watched the Red Carpet show of the Oscars on E WOW on the amazing fashions! Cate Blanchette rocking Givenchy, Hillaty Swank in Gucci, Gweneth Paltrow killed it in Calvin Klein, Helen Mirren with that amazing body in her late 60's and I slept through most of the show and I am sure I missed many other beautiful gowns but Halle Berry shuts it down in Marchesa...I am a little disappointed that Helen Bohnam Carter was unusually demure in a tame outfit, I really love that she doesn't care what other people say about her attire and always wears a design from an unknown costume designer and shoots them into the limelight! I am guessing the designers of each of the women's owns listed, so i could be wrong about a few but I always have fun guessing...

The awards show itself is usually very long, drawn out and kinda boring so I have been flipping to" Mildred Pierce" showing on Turner Classic Movie station...Joan Crawford is one of my fav actresses from back then, she won the Oscar for that role..."What ever happened to Baby Jane" by far is my fav film that co stars the best emoter ever, Betty Davis! Well girls I will play catchup in the morning

Progress as of today: 92.9 lbs lost so far, only -0.9 lbs to go!

moogy on 02/27/2011:
I am glad to see you arrived home safely and hope that your head sorts itself out soon. I am still trying to figure out how you got yourself in this position, did you stay with the lone barman and keep him company??? I may have to come over and keep an eye on you!!! Hope you feel better soon!! Love you.

loveray on 02/27/2011:
i feel ya on the 3 drink thing - in college i used to be able to drink 5-6 drinks and not feel a thing but these days even 1-2 drinks starts to make me tipsy. hope you are feeling better today! xo

Umpqua on 02/27/2011:
Ugh, I was right on the cause of death. I'm sure he was still creeped out about that so you had to stay and keep him company ;) I am loving the seeds on salad thing, don't know why I wasn't putting them on there before low carb. Hope you're doing better!

Supercheese on 02/27/2011:
Miss V, I have a question for ya :) When I went home I tried to do the push up thing on my brothers bedroom door bar - ha, it was funny. We video taped my attempt, but I really want to get up to 25 push ups...Right now 0. Any tips?

chidogs on 02/27/2011:
Yeah, that would clear a bar out pretty quick I would think. And I think that as one gets older the capacity gets less too. I know I could party hearty with the rest of them in my 20s and 30s, and now a couple glasses of wine give me a buzz. :) Take care and hope you feel better.

Runforfun on 02/27/2011:
I find this REALLY funny :) haha.. I was wondering where you were!

moogy on 02/27/2011:
Love Baby Jane, Betty Davis rocks!! it those eyes!! emm! I think there was a pretty good song about them!! LOL, I recently watched Mommy Dearest, she may have been a fabulous actress but I wouldn't have wanted her for my mommy!! Glad to read that you are back up in full running order. Those geese get you every time don't they???? LOOK OUT low flying geese!!

biscottibody59 on 02/27/2011:
Sorry to alarm you, but I was messing around with projections to see if I could make my bars on the side look better (vanity ya' know) and this sh*tty thing wouldn't let me dammit--you used to be able to make future entries--not any more apparently:-) Sucks. I fixed it!

So my weight hasn't changed--yet!

And the rolls really are prominent. You and moogy will just have to take my word for it.

moogy on 02/27/2011:
Yes, actually, you really forget that it is Faye and not Joan, really good actress!!

moogy on 02/27/2011:
Hey!! I am still awaiting the sordid juicy details, don't be thinking I am letting you slide by on that one. I was info on how you got yourself in that sort of shape. Details!! Now!!

moogy on 02/27/2011:
Oh! I like Ray Liotta and his younger brother would be more than acceptable!!!!

moogy on 02/27/2011:
No, I haven't received any mail, let alone picture of good looking men!!

biscottibody59 on 02/27/2011:
Thanks--gives me a little more incentive to keep going!

(Goal weight maintenance)
Weight: 134.1

Good Morning Lovelies Sunny and 70 already with highs expected in the 80's, Yippie!!!  Another long double ahead so I must get going soon!! Gotta get ready for the day! I am hoping not to have to deal with many drunks(although it is not hopeful) I had to politely cut off quite a few people yesterday and suprisingly enough it is the more mature ones that we have these type of issues with... I am all for very eager vacationers having a good time, but it is not my intention to serve them to the point that they can't walk, talk or worse case scenario get arrested.....I am just lucky enough to have the knack of cutting most off with out makin a bad situation worse and still getting a generous donation to my funds

I can't wait for my for Sunday Funday!!! I have plenty of crosswords to catch up on, courtesy  of my regulars that has a home here as well as Westford Ma.. This nice couple visits at least once a month and they are kind enough to bring me puzzles from the New York Times, LA Times and Usa Today everytime they come down!!!!  Oh and this same couple has invited me to attend a baseball game at Fenway Park anytime I want this year....I know this probably means NOTHING to most of you lovelies here, but they have season tickets and their seats are first row very close to the dugout!!!!! Although I am an avid Cubs fan, Fenway is a park that I have never had the privlege of going to so this is really exciting...I am sure Geevee, although a Yankees fan surely would appreciate this... Well girls it is getting late, gotta go, back much later, much love you you all

B- Starbuck, banana oat date ball 1 pear

L- Lean turkey veggie loaf

D- bacon burger with jack cheese, "granola cookie"

S- 3 goose and sodas

S- turkey bacon lettuce wrap, sugar, dairy, flourless  oat raisin cookie

1 gallon  water 2 celsius

Progress as of today: 92.9 lbs lost so far, only -0.9 lbs to go!

panda22 on 02/26/2011:
Yay for gorgeous weather! I can imagine how difficult some people can be when it comes to getting cut off from their drinks when they don't realize how much they've really had lol. Glad you are able to "take care of business" and make that money at the same time! I am not really a baseball fan, but Fenway sounds like an awesome experience! Can't wait for when you do go and to see pics of it =). Have a great one lady V!

biscottibody59 on 02/26/2011:
Thanks for your comments!

Hope your day and weekend turn out just like you wanted!

I've wondered how well those over-the-door thingies worked for pullups--something for me to explore in the future--definitely!

legcramps on 02/26/2011:
A ballgame at Fenway Park; how lucky are you? This couple sounds absolutely lovely - what a couple of treasures ;)

Hope you're having a great day today - and have mucho fun tomorrow checking out those crosswords!

KathyBlue on 02/26/2011:
hehe I like the honesty. I mean some people, bartenders, waiters, take advantage of drunks. :-o Then, on the next sober day they realize they've been "robbed". I know they (the drunk) could avoid these situations but well, some people - and I believe we all know this very well - cannot stop when it's enough.

chidogs on 02/26/2011:
Sounds like a nice sunny and busy day. That is quite a gift to have, the ability to say no nicely! hugs

getmebackto150 on 02/26/2011:

sweetpea1977 on 02/26/2011:
Your Sunday sounds nice!! Im hoping to make a trip to the park tomorrow. Its 10 minutes from our house, so we wont be too far from home if the baby decides he is ready to show up. I just cant stand spending such a gorgeous day stuck inside.

BTW, yay for turbofire!! I know you'll probably write a whole review on your first workout, so be sure to leave me a note somewhere telling me when you wrote you review. That way, I wont miss if if I happen to be in the hospital! :)

moogy on 02/26/2011:
Shame about cutting off the drunks. I think we could all do with some more hilarious falling down lascivious drunk women stories. You are killing all our fun V. Especially me whom you know lives vicariously through you. Speaking of which I am soooo looking forward to my TurboFire workouts, I am going to be pumped!!!!!! LOL

(Goal weight maintenance)
Weight: 134.1

Good Morning Ladies It is 66 degrees and I am getting a jump on the day attempting to set myself up for success for my upcoming doubles today and tommorrow...I am stacked with healthy veggies to munch on during the day just in case we are too busy to have a proper meal, I came home super hungry last week and it was so late I didn't want to eat anything so I am sure this will do the trick, alon with the celery and cucumbers I made a ff dip out of cream cheese, smoked salmon, dill and onions(yes I have sugar free mints too, LOL) I hope everyone has a wonderful healthy weekend, I will post when I return, not sure if the weather will cooperate after sunset, as long as it is not too breezy it should be all systems go!

Oh for those inquiring about the pullups, you can purchase a detachable bar that you can hang from any door frame, I purchased mine from Marshall's for $12...My goal was to work myself up to doing one and this does take a little time and patience but if you are up for a challenge I highly reccomend trying

Hey girlies!!! It is about 1:10 am and I am unwinding from my very long day!! I wish I was the type of person who could fall fast asleep but unfortunately my adrenaline is still surging....

SO I just ordered my Turbo Fire!!!!!! Woooohooo!! Yes! Yes!!! I am so eager to start that I paid the extra shipping costs so I can take my workouts to the next level and shut it down!!!!  Look out world the "Terminator" is coming!!!

My plan of eating healthy was a success and I have stacked some more yummy healthy treats for my double later....Well I shall talk to all in a few

This is my planned menu for today

D- Starbucks, banana oat date ball 1 pear

L- lean hot italian turkey sausage grilled onions lettuce wrap,1 "granola cookie"

D- Meatballs in boom sauce, cucumbers and celery and salmon spread 4 crackers,1"granola cookie"(very healthy, filling no sugar added btw and only 49 cals, 3 grams carbs)

1 gallon of water 2  Celsius

Progress as of today: 92.9 lbs lost so far, only -0.9 lbs to go!

nicolette on 02/25/2011:
Pull-ups... That seems soo intimidating! In gym class in highschool, for part of our fitness test we had to do a pull-up and stay there for like a minute or longer if you could and I'd be shaking at the end and it's so hard to unclench my hands after! haha. That's impressive, good job ;) PS banana oat date ball sounds really appealing....

Umpqua on 02/25/2011:
That dip sounds awesome! Don't eat too many sugar-free mints LOL, have a good one!

moogy on 02/25/2011:
I will stick to pulling myself up of the settee thank you very much. I sort of hope you get to work your doubles, as long as you have good shifts. It is 1.30 am on Saturday morning as I type this, can't sleep, bad dreams and then pondering on the dream whilst await is not a good way to get back to sleep. I hope to watch something boring and fall back to sleep on the settee. Have a good day V.

KathyBlue on 02/25/2011:
working on a Saturday sounds like fun to you? You're a masochist :)

thisisit on 02/25/2011:
I would love to get my hands on one of those bars. But I'm not allowed to destroy my parents' renovations. Is it something that needs to be installed?

What a wonderful menu! And good idea to get healthy snacks around you. It's difficult enough to lose and maintain a loss, not to add hunger to that.

Have a great weekend!!!

legcramps on 02/25/2011:
haha, just read your story from yesterday - how entertaining is that?!!

the dip you made sounds delicious :-)

liza36 on 02/25/2011:
What a story from yesterday! As amusing as it may be, sadly I'm sure you see a lot of that kind of thing.

Mention of your cream cheese dip reminded me of an ad I heard on the radio yesterday from Trader Joes. They now have a peanut butter cream cheese. Not sure if it would be disgusting, or a little slice of heaven. Your dip sounds delish!

chidogs on 02/25/2011:
That dip sounds realllllly good! Pull ups? Well, not at this stage for me. I'd pull the door down. :) Take care and have a great day!

Umpqua on 02/26/2011:
Yay for Turbo Fire!

shadetree on 02/26/2011:
My son was looking at one of those bars at the store last week and opted not to get it right now. Later that night we were watching Funniest Videos and there was a guy using the same thing (kind of hooks over the door frame/trim?) and down it all came - the guy, the bar, the trim...So make sure that your framing is secure! Hope you have a great weekend!

Good Morning Lovely Ladies I am heading out soon but I just wanted to check in with you all!!! A little fog to start out the day but I am sure it will burn off in the afternoon! Well I better get a few pullups and pushups done to get a little more hyped! LOL I will talk to you after my shift, much love to you all Have a happy healthy day!!!!

Hello my loves!!! I hope everyone's day was as stellar as mine!!!! Another awesome day under the belt and I come to you with a very funny, sad, amusing and very embarassing story about our first Drunken Arrest Shennanagins courteously of an EXTREMELY OVERSERVED Lady(and I do use this term very loosely)

I take you back in time to last night where Chris( fellow co-worker bartender) served an already boozy couple about 6 Rumrunners a piece  in an hour's span These evil 16 ozs of pretty much all booze with an extra shot of 151 down the straw is not only potent, but I have seen MANY people go down after having more than their fair share, BTW... So back to boozy couple  well they started to get very loud, very inapproriately lewd and lacivious and was escorted out the door....At some point the chick falls and cracks her cranium! She bounces back up meanwhile the manager on duty goes out to find Stumblina bleeding profusely and calls the ambulance, she insists she is fine but when somethin like this happens it is required to call the Paramedics.... Ambulance arrives and at this point Stumblina was dazed, confused and not cooperating so they had to call St. Pete Beach Finest to intervene....

At this point drunk lady thinks that she is about to be arrested ...Her hubby, our manager as well as the officers were all trying to assure her that she was not in trouble and they only wanted her to let the EMT's check her out....She still wasn't buying none of what they were saying to her......She then proceeded to tell the male officer that she would preform an "oral favor" if he turned a blind eye to her non existent discressions As drunk lady goes for the officer's zipper, his female partner attempts to stop her and Stumblina tell female officer"go get your own guy, this one's mine" She swings on female officer and of course didn't connect, Female officer yolked her up, put her in cuff and away she went to spend the rest of her vacation in jail...... This is only week 2 of season and unfortunately I will have a few more stories similar to this one... We have a saying here that goes "Come to Florida on vacation, leave on probation!" LOL Sad but true

Sorry if this was TMI but this one was too good to keep to myself! LOL  Off to read some diaries

B- Starbucks, banana oat date ball, 1 cameo apple

L- lean turke patty 1 slc lean turkey bacon, ff cheddar, rilled onions, mushroom lettuce wrap

D- lean boneless pork ribs, 1/4 baked sweet potato, romaine, cucumbers, red onions red peppers, mushroom, ff feta sunflower kernels, red wine vin, lemon wedge

1 gallon water 2 celsius

moogy on 02/24/2011:
Oh!! V, so funny, I really was laughing out loud, of course I was in the mood because I had just read Donna's last batch of Autocorrect Fails. Sounds like there was entertainment and excitment enough for everyone. Sooooo glad I don't drink!! At least she was amusing, she will be sorry in the morning, not to mention have a huge headache - doubled!! Bartending beats accounting hands down!

moogy on 02/24/2011:
Do you think we could be twins, or knew each other in a previous life, some sort of strange genetic mix up, I don't know but something is definietly going on. Yes, I remember the Jolly Ranchers, I mean what a ridiculous name for a sweet. Love you too!!

Umpqua on 02/24/2011:
WOW on that story, way to mess up your vacation lady! We actually watched a kid being taken out by ambulance after the P-Funk show. The club is on a narrow side street and we got stuck behind the ambulance for like 15 minutes. So we got to watch this poor kid get wheeled in on a stretcher and get poked and prodded before they finally moved him and his stressed out girlfriend/date to the hospital. The kid was semi-conscious, ouch.

Runforfun on 02/24/2011:
Haha! That's so funny. I bet your jobs never boring!! Have a great weekend!

getmebackto150 on 02/24/2011:
crazy story!!! I've done some crazy things on vacation, but luckily no arrests under my belt:) Glad you had a good day!

Umpqua on 02/24/2011:
That's an ambitious prediction on my loss, I hope you're right! I'm pretty sure I'm in ketosis so I'm probably going to keep at this until I reach goal. I'm a little worried about transitioning back to the other way of eating at that point, but I'll just have to be extra careful. The thought of being at goal is also a little overwhelming - it's been LONG time baby!

chidogs on 02/24/2011:
Now that is a very interesting and funny story! Honestly, you must see what strange things alcohol does to people I'm afraid I just get sleepy. :)

waydesmommy on 02/24/2011:

Good Morning Divas!!! Gotta run  we have a mandatory meeting to attend and my option is this morning's meeting or the one at 10:30 pm this evening?? Ummm coming back out in the middle of the night to hear the SSDD does NOT sound appealing so off I go! LOl Well I will have to read and respond to all later....Well the city can rest a little easier now that the cop killer has turned himself in, well actually his parents turned him in, the suspect just turned 16yo last week??? Makes you wonder how a kid from a household with both parents around how this could happen....

I will check in with you guys after my shift, much love to you all

Hey Beauties!!! Back form my very long day, seeing as though there were only 3 of us in the am meeting, I am sure there will be alot of employees hating life around 10:30 especially the ones that didn't have to work! LOL It was quick and painless though, I might have to pick up a few extra days though(I am hoping only 1) Don't get me wrong, I welcome the extra cash but I really don't want to burn myself out either, so we shall see...

It was a very foggy day on the beach but the Northerners didn't seem to mind so all in all it was a pretty good day I have dinner in the oven and so it is off to read some diaries!!! I hope everyone had a happy healthy day

B- Starbucks 1 small peach, banana oat date ball

L-lean turkey patty w ff cheddar grilled mushrooms onions and lettuce wrap

D- lean turkey vegie loaf with mushroom gravy, sauteed collards, romaine cucumbers red peppers red onions, ff feta sunflower kernels, red wine vin, lemon wedge

Sad, sad, sad news! Some people are just born antisocial and without any conscience. It's so sad. No matter how well they were raised some people just don't care. :( I see it at work all the time (at my 2nd job). Hope the meeting goes well. LOVES

Hope you have enough time to grab Starbucks on your way to the meeting :)))

newme24 on 02/23/2011:
Hey V!! It's been a while, I've missed you!... I'm glad to see you're doing well. Hope the meeting goes well, going in the morning definitely sounds more appealing than going that late. Wow a 16 year old, that's crazy! At least his parents turned him in, but it does make you wonder what was going on in that household... Hope you have a wonderful day!!

moogy on 02/23/2011:
I am so glad that we are not allowed to own guns. I think it is one of the banes of American society. It makes it hard to feel as angry as one should when the killer turns out to be a child. I am so grateful that if we here an occassional siren it is usually the fire engines rescuing someone. You be careful out there!!

biscottibody59 on 02/23/2011:
Hope you're having a good day there!

moogy on 02/23/2011:
I am glad you had a short meeting and I am sure you are right some short term thinkers are going to be sorry tonight. I would be nice to have a good work/life balance, though of course for you it is work/gym balance!!!!! LOL

Umpqua on 02/23/2011:
Gridlock alert :P I feel like it's worse this time than in the past, maybe because my body is so used to fruit. Atkins says no fruit during induction, but I'm not following his rules specifically. But really, small amounts of pumpkin are the only things I can afford in my carb count if I want to stay at 20 grams or less and get into ketosis. I figured wheat bran, nuts and veggies would help but nope. If this continues tomorrow I will get some of that tea! Oh and I feel completely wiped out and in a brain fog today. Apparently it's normal and they call it the Atkin's flu. I forced myself to exercise but it didn't help much (and it always gives me a boost). Remind me why I'm doing this to myself again? ;)

sweetpea1977 on 02/23/2011:
No package today, unless you sent me formula samples. :)

Yes, it would be soooo nice to have you as a workout partner! I would be at goal in no time if you were literally by my side during my weightloss journey!!

Umpqua on 02/23/2011:
It would be wonderful if I'm in ketosis. The scale hadn't budged this morning, but I think this problem may be part of the reason. I took a Colace (softener) this morning and it has done nothing so far - same as after both pregnancies and my surgery LOL. I do have "woman's laxatives" up there, ugh. Maybe I'll just suck it up and take one. This stinks! (sorry, couldn't help it. And I know you know what I'm going through :P)

Supercheese on 02/23/2011:
OH! I love NC! Its just the moving and finding an apartment and job there by myself is kinda scary and stressful for me. I guess thats being grown up......I'm looking at New Bern? Its a cute place and its great for young couples, but kinda expensive when we both make crap money - The military will give us about 1,100 for a month with rent...but most nice places are around 1,400.....Oh yeah, I'm kinda thinking of it as a "Well, at least ill have a rocken bod when he comes back" so its super time for healthiness and school. I hope you had a great day now that mines coming to an end. Heres to tomorrow. Much love!!!

moogy on 02/23/2011:
Yes, walking in the park with the girls would be lovely - unless I had a seizure and fell unconscious. Yet another thing I can't do anymore!! My daughter couldn't even join us, with her dodgy heart, asthma etc. What a pair of useless wally's we are!!!! LOL

sweetpea1977 on 02/23/2011:

Glad you did your meeting early. Much as I hate meetings, I would still go for the early one rather than the late one! Wonder how many people slept through it. I would have to commend those parents who turned their own kid in. How heartbreaking that must have been . But they knew he would only get worse. Wow. Take care.

Hey V! I was just looking up the news stories about that kid you mentioned cause it hadn't been reported over here. So untypical isn't it? It sounds like it was the peers he surrounded himself with rather than his family that were the bad influence. I feel so bad for his parents. On a brighter note, thanks for the encouragement yesterday! After your message about weights, and Umpqua gave me a bit of info too, I've decided to get some small hand weights for home and I figure I can do leg stuff with squats etc. I have some ankle weights in a cupboard somewhere I think I'll dig out for leg lifts etc. I guess it's just reps and sets I need to figure out now :) Have a great day lovely one!
