Umpqua on 12/10/2010:
Yay for a heatwave! Your trip is coming up soon, so exciting!

Thanks for the Joe Strummer recommendation, John and I both like The Clash so we will check it out. I did read about Natalie and Mila losing weight for the movie, which is just incredible. I think they're both pretty but Mila is just gorgeous and such a funny girl. Hubby is bummed that he's not getting to go to this movie :P

Hope you have a great day!

selina on 12/10/2010:
I can't wait for warmer weather around here, too! Enjoy your day!

panda22 on 12/10/2010:
Man I would give anything to be able to do ONE pullup! =P

You and I have the same amount of days left in our countdowns to exciting things ;) Hope the time goes by quick for us both!

Have a fantastic day and enjoy the nice weather!!!

KathyBlue on 12/10/2010:
WOW, 9 more days! It's not that much!!! I want pictures!!!!! :-))) Chicago must be a fun city! Once a man told me, who was from Chicago and worked for the railways, that Chicago was dangerous... he told me sg like this: "You walk on the streets where everybody has guns..., bc one can never know, you can cross a 8-year old and he can shoot you first or you can shoot him first, it's your choice but you have to think w/ cold blood." He was telling me this bc he was running around with a gun and I questioned him, bc it's something not at all "normal" in Europe.

moogy on 12/10/2010:
I am so glad that it is warmer and you will get to work for most of the day, locals may even venture out!! I know you are looking forward to spending Christmas with your family, just a bit!!!! Are you taking presents up with you or having a shop when you get there? You know in the real cold and snow!! I was reminising yesterday about snowy Christmases, the princess is getting so excited, (I don't believe it - here come the cockatoo's - on your diary again!!), her little faced is bright with excitement. My daughter has to take the girls outside at night so that they can see the houses lit up with Chirstmas lights. Wouldn't it be lovely if we felt that innocent excitement again?

tangalyn on 12/10/2010:
glad it warmed up for ya.. hope u enjoy ur night :))

hopingforhealth on 12/10/2010:
Ha ha. You are so sweet to all those boys you work with! They're lucky to have such a great coworker and buddy. I'm glad it was warm so you could work and be social too. :)

Apparently they found that girl in California today, fine. The guy is being held in connection with it. Such a sketchy situation; I'm glad they found her.

moogy on 12/10/2010:
I find it the roster is always a little light by this time of the week. Friday night through to Monday morning, those slackers!!!!! It is only die hards that posted regularly through the whole weekend. They must have lives or somesthing!!!!! Glad you had a good shift. Yes, I am doing quite well increasing the solidness (that is not a word, I am a bit fanatical about correct grammer and spelling and words, English was one of the few subjects that I got an A in), I am hoping that my hunger will lessen as the solidness increases. I am so nervous that I will start throwing up again like last time, but so far so good, going slower is working for me. hugs my wingwoman:) OOOOOOOOO

hopingforhealth on 12/10/2010:
Ha ha. I'm normally like that too; I do all my other workouts alone and prefer it that way. In fact, I hate seeing people I know at the gym, because I don't like talking there either! So I totally understand. But the classes have so many people that they freak me out, so I feel better showing up with a friend, like a safety net, ha ha. I am shy-er than you, I suspect!

I'm so sad that Rich is leaving soon. I know you love your workouts (and everything else) with him. Hopefully you guys can visit!

moogy on 12/10/2010:
That's a handy sister you have there. I am only hitting the shops very early on the 22nd for last minute food top ups and then I am out of there, it will be like a little ninja attack, only with a short round little slightly colourful ninja, but just as deadly. It will be hot even though it will be early due to humidity and every lunatic and their dog tries to shop before nine. Yuk!!!! The underground carpark feels like a sauna...........can I please come to Chicago with you!! Your sister could do my shopping as well!!LOL

moogy on 12/10/2010:
Wouldn't that be wonderful? I am sad that I don't think I will every be able to travel anywhere. Too much chance of me having a seizure!! Stupid brain, I think it is just to hard coping with it's own brilliance!! LOL

Maria7 on 12/10/2010:
Shared your lunch??? What did you share? A collard leaf and 1/2 turkey patty? Did you allow yourself to have a larger supper when you got home...like a real large supper, by adding maybe an extra stalk of celery??? (hehehe!) I laughed about the cake being safe...I LOL! I thought if you only knew...cause usually when I bake a cake, I bake Hubby a big muffin-sized cupcake of the cake, so that he has his own miniature cake with frosting and I bake myself a regular cupcake of the cake (with a little frosting), so that I get a 'taste' of the cake, hehehe! Sounds like you are getting more and more excited about going back home. Your 68 sounds REAL WARM! :-D

Maria7 on 12/10/2010:
Yes, my cupcake will be very small, like a small cupcake (if I allow myself one) and Hubby's will be about twice that size. I have been trying to 'get in the mood' to bake the cake tonite but it is looking more and more (as I sit here by the fireplace with the warmth coming from the fire and getting sleepy) that cake baking will be planned, Lord willing, for tomorrow...zzzzzzzzzzzzz......

Maria7 on 12/10/2010:
Decision is made...I'm going beddy-bye...:-) No cake baking tonite. Nitey-nite!

nita51 on 12/10/2010:
I checked out 12/9 post. Girl you know you're not that crazy,,,I was just having fun. You are sweeter than sweet,,,but you can lay it on the line when you want to. You give good therapy for the soul. Girl,,, RUN quick, from that quack. Is that the same Dr. that lost all the weight? if so, that's probably the reason, he'd never tell you what he was doing to lose weight. I want to sincerely lose weight, but not enough to become a pill junkie. That's trading one bad habit for another. Worried that my gift wouldn't work out for you, being in Florida,,, but in Chicago, it will work out just fine. I grew up in Gary Ind,,,,( 20 minutes from Chi town ). Take Care xoxo.

loveray on 12/11/2010:
so nice that we are having some heat over on the east coast! not as warm as you, but at least we are going up to 52 today after a week of highs in the 30's. ugh, im not cut out for this weather. i miss the beach and the sun so much! how are you doing today? what are your plans for this weekend? xo

Good morning ladies!!!!!!! Another chilly day so no work again LOL...Now if I were independently, filthy wealthy, I would hop on my G6 and go to Lisbon for lunch...Yes and of course anyone who wanted to come with is more than welcomed to Well since i am but a mere pauper, I must not entertain these fancies too long But  really wonderful thought!!!! I am sure I will find something to do just as fulfilling....NOT LOL

Okay girls so remember how I constantly gripe about how super creepy/weird/strange my Dr. is???? Well one of my friends out of the blue asks"hey what's your Psycho Dr's name??" WHen I told her she became pale as a ghost and said "No (explitives) Way"   "He used to date my mom in fact he lived with us for a few years til she had to kick him out because he was a raging pill popper" LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!That not only confirms and co sign my suspicions about him, it def explains the lack of eye contact and his zombie like walk That explains it all now....I am in the process of looking for another Dr. anyways but this time I am doing my homework, THOUROUGHLY!!!!! LOL SO for now it is off to study up on potential candidates and I am going to go up to Nature's Finest at some point to meet Annette(nutritionist/consulter at the store I hope you all have a wonderful day, much love to you

UPDATE*** Just got called in to work Yayyyy!!! I know I am a weirdo!!!

Hi Divas I'm home Well although it was quite brisk out Dan and I were just happy to see each other and being able to mingle a bit did us both a world of good!! The few customers that were willing to brave the weather were of course out of towners from the north and they were very generous!!!

I didn't eat much today, my tummy still was still in knots this morning from last night's alien item ...I think I might heat up dinner a little earlier than usual I am super hungry..

Funny story and i am off to warm dinner and rea diaries...Nita had me in tears this morning, comparing me to Sarge in Full Metal Jacket and I LOL more than a few times today about it...( just hoping no one will blow my brains out like Gomer? at the end ) LOL  The more I think about it I am alot like him but the real question is am I really  that insane??? LOL .. Sorry just thinking out loud again!  Love ya girlies going to catch up with all

B- Starbucks

L- 3 oz lean turkey patty

D- 6 oz skinless broiled chicken breast, 1 cup ff low sod chicken broth, 1 cup sauteed collards, small salad and tummy is all better

1 gallon water 1 can celsius

For you Nita

Progress as of today: 89.8 lbs lost so far, only 2.2 lbs to go!

KathyBlue on 12/09/2010:
LOLOLOL :)))) You'd be more than welcome to do that! :-o But Lisbon, unfortunately, is not a vegetarian-friendly city! Too many pigs along the way, lol... :) LOL, zombie doctor doesn't sound too great, in fact :D .. Ask around - maybe someone knows a better one. I like the expression "raging pill popper", it's sad but funny at the same time, LOL... I'm so crazy today, already thinking about my upcoming badminton pleasures tomorrow !!!! :D

Maria7 on 12/09/2010:
Addiction is a BIG PROBLEM in this country and not just with patients, it can be with those who take care of patients, as well. Lots of people get addicted to the meds prescribed to them. I hope you find someone who will be sober and alert and a good help to you when you need to go to a doctor.

KathyBlue on 12/09/2010:
Boredom??? Get your ass out of the flat then and look around! :-))) A Leo doesn't have the luxury of being bored :P

Umpqua on 12/09/2010:
I left my 2 cents about Dr. Pill on your last entry ;) Sad....And I'm sorry your getting frozen out down there. It's butt numbingly cold up here in CT, if that makes you feel better! Sounds like you have a nice day planned, have a good one!

Bikiniwax85 on 12/09/2010:
Lolz... Babe! Why no Shenanigans?? Hahahah... Your a weirdo? Wow.. you made it sound and look cool! :P Take care babe! Have a great day a head!

hollybelle on 12/09/2010:
Yep Butt Mumbing cold (as Umpqua said above) here in KY, too. Stay WARM as you can.......:o)

getmebackto150 on 12/09/2010:
That is CRAZY about your Dr... You are defnitely right to get a new one!!! Have a great day and have fun at work... Crazy girl... LOL

biscottibody59 on 12/09/2010:
Please keep in mind that these people are selling stuff for the most part--they know what they know just like you or I do:-)

Just saying, "Buyer beware!"

biscottibody59 on 12/09/2010:
To your comment on MKills--I've only been through the book a couple times and I think you have the right idea. Immersion in a subject like this will increase your chance to do well. You're a very disciplined person anyway, it seems, so the only thing you might need to guard against is boredom.

Cheers!

loveray on 12/09/2010:
yikes on the doctor situation!! i hope you are doing ok today and wish i could hop on a plane to lisbon as well xo

sweetpea1977 on 12/09/2010:
Wow, thats scary news on your doc. Glad you'll be getting a new one soon!

Enjoy your day at work (and no, you're not weird-you love your job!).

panda22 on 12/09/2010:
Crazy stuff you found out about your doctor, that's no good and very sad for him that he is an addict. Just proves you have very good intuition and can sense when something isn't right...hope you find a new one soon!

Glad you get to go into work like you wanted, maybe you can talk them into closing the office tomorrow like they should!

Enjoy your day! =)

moogy on 12/09/2010:
Ewwww!! Creep, it is no wonder he was useless and couldn't understand what you were saying or couldn't give you info. Men ....... OK, another appointment with your nutrionist, I know you will be looking forward to that. It wouldn't suprise me if you have written a list of questions!!!!!! Catch you later angel:)

moogy on 12/09/2010:
I tried something different, can you see them now?

skinnygrlwithin on 12/09/2010:
That's COMPLETELY Crazy about your doctor... that would totally freak me out!!!! The game is on the NFL Network so it won't be on regular TV.... you'd have to go out for it... which I might no longer be doing since I'm feeling rather under the weather and Ross has a final tomorrow and I told him it was more important to study for that... and he's not my boyfriend... YET lol... slug pace remember??? lol In like a year maybe we'll have reached that status lol

moogy on 12/09/2010:
Good to make some bucks!! Does this mean that you didn't get to see the nutritionist? I gave up on the photo's - why is all this stuff so hard??? Hope your tummy settles down soon.:)

moogy on 12/09/2010:
I had porridge for breakfast about 8.30 and it's 10.30 now and I am a bit hungry, so I am thinking that it should have stayed with me for longer. I am having something a little solid for lunch, so I will see how that goes. Anyone who says this is the easy way to go doesn't know what they are talking about. I was I liquids for two weeks before and after and then pureed food for another two weeks when I had my surgery.

sweetpea1977 on 12/09/2010:
My appt is tomorrow AM. Keep your fingers crossed that I dont have gestational diabetes. Im super-nervous!

I hope your tummy feels better soon!

hopingforhealth on 12/09/2010:
Whoa, lady. Definitely do some more research for the next doctor so you can kick this one to the curb. Sorry your tummy is bugging you; I seem to have been feeling your pain lately. :P I'm glad you got to work a bit and make some dollars. Did you still meet with the nutritionist?

hopingforhealth on 12/09/2010:
Totally worth missing her then! Yep, I am going home for Christmas. I am excited even though I just saw them. I bet you are pumped for Chicago! I've never been, but I'd love to go sometime. It's a big architecture city, as I'm sure you know. :)

Maria7 on 12/09/2010:
Will you soon be leaving for vacation and will you be online while away?

hopingforhealth on 12/09/2010:
Deal! I am thinking about relocating to a bigger city if the economy even gets good again, and it is totally on my list. I bet I'd have a blast with you guys! :)

chidogs on 12/09/2010:
It is always fun to hear your stories, even though they aren't always that funny. A pill popping Dr. is no joke. Run, don't walk to the nearest new one. That is just scary. Sorry it is so cold. We are in So. Calif. and it is a bit chilly here too, but expecting mid 70's this weekend. Take care.

Maria7 on 12/09/2010:
Oh...10 days...that's not long at all... :-)

V - Wednesday Dec 08, 2010
(Low Carb)
Weight: 137.2

Good morning Beauties!!! And Gentleman I hope all is well with you all!!! It is not likely that I will be working today with temps only expected to be in the mid 50's today...This happens every time this year and I am lucky to have a solid plan in place til the weather cooperates with us I am still planning to go to work for a few and show my GM some love(nothing says love more than Starbucks) he really is having a tough go at it...He took it the hardest, as for me I am doing really well..An unexpected calmness swept through me last night, perhaps even a sign that my recently departed friend is in some really good company..Well girls I am going to see what's up with you all and I wish you much loveOOOPs and Devine

Hey Divas I'm baaaack!!! I had a pretty good visit with my GM, I left him in stiches(no I didn't beat him up) and good spirits so mission accomplished i stopped off at the Nature's Finest although i probably shouldn't have since I am trying not to spend money but I needed more lettuce and since Weds. is their 10% off days I figured what the hay...I am so glad i did because I met an awesome lady who happens to be the store's nutritionist, after having a very interesting chat with her, she invited me to come back with my book whenever I had a chance to sit down with her and she would help me with my grocery list for my transition..So I left the store and of course I forgot the lettuce! LOL Only in my world...Well the good  news I only spent 1.50 on a can of celsius

Well tonight it's a workout and then a "gathering" of friends and loved ones of Aaron...Although I am sure they will be a few more to come because his official memorial is held on Fri at 11:30 am Yes i have to work and it is going to take a miracle to find someone who isn't going...It pisses me off ever so much that the owners wouldn't shut down for the afternoon so we all can attend, and for that i have lost quite a bit of respect for them!!!

Well girls i must get going soon, planning to read some diaries and work on my arms, I am totally planning on selling tickets to "The Gun Show" real soon LOL and since I will probably have a cocktail or two i gonna try to get a nice sweaty one in!!!

Back for the third time and I had a wonderful time with everyone, especially friends I haven't seen in a while..Everyone seemed to be at ease and although a tear or two(which I expected as much) were shed the room was filled with love My food selections were limited and i did request thee usual, no oil so season no salt, there was def something I ate that didn't agree with me..The food portions were gigantic and my salad  leftovers can feed 4 people! It astonished me that at Cody's it was  BOGOF fajitas and they even let you take home the second one(the 1st was enough for 5 people)  Sweet potato was really yummers though...Off once again to read diaries! Talk to most of you in the A.M.

B-4 egg white omlete with 4 slices of extra lean turkey bacon

L- 1 pear, 1 banana raisin  rolled oat ball

D- 1 sweet baked potato*first one in 7 months and it was delish However my tummy hates me** 1/2 cup lettuce mix 4 strips fajita style chicken, cucumbers, cheese, red wine vin, lemon wedge

1 gallon water 3 Goose and celsius

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos

I think I might have to stop lifting heavy weights my arms are getting massive!

Progress as of today: 89.8 lbs lost so far, only 2.2 lbs to go!

panda22 on 12/08/2010:
How nice of you to think of your GM, Im sure he will greatly appreciate it! I am glad you are feeling better today and hope the rest of your day goes well =)

tangalyn on 12/08/2010:
have a great day V :)

just42day on 12/08/2010:
Glad you're feeling good as I know yesterday was a rough one for you. Isn't the sense of calmness wonderful? Glad you have it. Hope your day is as sunny as you are. :)

Maria7 on 12/08/2010:
Sorry to hear you've lost your friend. Hang in there, V.

selina on 12/08/2010:
You are such a wonderfully strong woman! Hugs to you!

just42day on 12/08/2010:
Thanks for your support and, of course, never ending f-ing questions (LOL). Yes, my brother tends to be on the negative side but the reality is mom's health has been failing for quite some time. I'm leaving my brother to talk w/the doctors - no need for me to take up more of their time. Hope to speak w/either my brother or mother later this morning. Not sure when I'm going up there; just playing it by ear but will probably put some clothes, etc in bag today so I can run on the fly.

selina on 12/08/2010:
Haha! not a superhero, just an ageing mom, ha! Yes, I'm pretty sure he'd be supportive. He actually is very supportive and says he needs to go on a diet of his own. The fact is, he is so busy and when he comes home I feel he needs to relax and the last thing I want to do is to talk about my diet, ha! I talk about it enough here, with you guys on DD and get it out of my system that way...

hollybelle on 12/08/2010:
So sorry to hear of the loss of your boss/friend! How wonderful to have fond memories. Without them someone's passing is so much more sad. I think you would be "right" to see his wife anytime. Especially after awhile has passed. So many times there is a rush of friends around the time of passing, and then no one shows up and the loved ones are all alone. I say keep in touch with her.

hollybelle on 12/08/2010:
P.S. When someone passes I handle it by providing food - usually after the fact when the crowd dies down around the family-like 2 -3 weeks later. Usually a casserole....it's what I do.

just42day on 12/08/2010:
Tourettes my #ss..... :)

moogy on 12/08/2010:
Funny, I just got to your page (it's 6 am ) and the raucous cockatoo's are starting their morning barrage of sound. I am glad that you felt that peaceful energy - that's always welcome after feeling so down after someone you love has died. I always worry about you when you have days off, I will just remind you that you will be going home soon and can have a blow out then. In the meantime it is coffee and books with the occasional workout session. I hope you got enough sleep after waiting up for me, that was so sweet of you, hey! you could always have a nap today!! LOL

skinnygrlwithin on 12/08/2010:
I was just updating myself on your posts and I'm so sorry to hear about your manager... it is amazing how moments like this in life remind us of how precious every moment we have on this earth truly is...I'm sending you all my love and warm wishes... and no I don't think it's too early to go pay his wife a visit... there is never a right time, or a good time, nor is there ever anything you can really say to someone in that situation... but sometimes your newfound calm energy and vibes can and will influence her and allow her to feel a sense of calm, even if just for a moment.

nita51 on 12/08/2010:
So thoughtful of you to include our guy, in your greeting, but you don't have to change your greetings, We're not here to complicate things. We want you to stay in your comfort zone. You can still say Diva or ladies. We'll know your addressing everybody. So please keep doing YOU. He will just have to be our Diva Guy. ( LoL ) He doesn't join us, until the weekends anyway. So weekdays, it's us ladies, all the way! Love You.

Umpqua on 12/08/2010:
That's cool that you found someone to talk to about your new eating plan. Very nice! Yes, I know what I'm in for with the boys as they get older :P But Mama needs her sleep at night or she gets grouchy! And I'm spoiled because these guys are great sleepers so I've gotten consistently good sleep since Nate was around 1 year old.

Hope you have a fun and peaceful time at the gathering tonight!

loveray on 12/08/2010:
aww ill be thinking of you at your gathering tonight. i hope you are holding up ok. what is a raisin oat ball?! haha that sounds funny. xo

panda22 on 12/08/2010:
LOL @ your massive superhero arms! Dont hurt anyone lol. As for the gathering, I hope it goes well and you all have a nice time reminiscing good memories in rememberance of him! I think it's ridiculous that you have to work during the service, that really is so bad of the managers not to have shut it down or at least brough in replacements so everyone who knew him could attend. I am so sorry! Have a nice evening, love your entries =)

moogy on 12/08/2010:
I am with loveray, I want to know what is in the raisin oat ball, you are going to have to post that one. Love the photo, looks like she got her hands full, I was looking at how long and elegant your fingers are and how big your eyes are when you open them right up. Mind you if someone was grabbing my tush I would open my eyes up wide as well!! LOL

Sofia on 12/08/2010:
I'm sorry about your loss and hope you feel better soon. And on the pic, I agree with panda22, you look super strong!

hopingforhealth on 12/08/2010:
Ha ha. Check out that gun show!

How lucky is it that you ran into the store's nutritionist. That's must be all your good kharma paying off :) I'm glad you were able to help your general manager cope. Seriously V, all your friends are so lucky to have you!

moogy on 12/08/2010:
Glad you are back safe and sound. It sounds like it was a bit of a celebration of his life, which is lovely, he would probably have preferred that than lots of wailing if your description of him was anything to go by. I was starting to worry about where you were. I suppose it is only fair, as you were worrying about me yesterday!! Have a good night's sleep angel. I'll catch up with you in the morning. Hugs.

moogy on 12/08/2010:
I just read hopingforhealth comment and I have to say I agree with her, it's karma baby!! What are the chances of just bumping in to someone like that, just random, oh! now I remember the random sympathy cryer in the store!! It must be you then!! My daughter says karma's a b***ch, it sneeks up when you least expect it and it bites you on the rear. Of course, she spreads a lot of bad karma so she would say that!!!!LOL

Funny girl, go to bed and get some sleep!!

Umpqua on 12/08/2010:
I'm up way past my bedtime since my friend and I have been gabbing all night. Time for bed but I'm anxious to see your update about Crazy Doctor tomorrow! I have to say, the fact that he's a pill popper doesn't really surprise me, I suspect lots of them are. They have access to so many pharmaceuticals and think of all the free samples they get. Kind of scary. I'm glad you had a nice time at the gather, sorry that sweet potato didn't agree with you. I absolutely love em....I guess it's going to be a slow process getting your body used to carbs again. G'nite!

nita51 on 12/08/2010:
I seriously except ALL that you are saying. I truly receive your message, and I got you. I realize that you are speaking out of love and I'm in tears right now. I'm crying because you shook something up, deep inside of me. Maybe it's the mixture of hearing the truth coming from someone I admire and hold in the highest esteem, while listening to some old Jodeci, ( my favorite group ) The combination of this is speaking to my inner soul right now. TIME TO STOP THE MADNESS, AND TRY TO HOLD ON TO LIFE. I am so unhealthy right now, all due to morbid obesity. Everything aches! Enough tears, Time to go to work. Thank you V

May the good earth be soft under you
when you rest upon it,
and may it rest easy over you when,
at the last, you lay out under it,
And may it rest so lightly over you

from under it quickly,
and up, and off,
And be on its way to God.

Good Morning Beauties yet another sunny day here with temps at 37 degrees....Once again I have not much to do other than my weigh in...I got a bit of bad news that one of our managers passed away yesterday and I am numb, I just got the call as i am typing in my entry...I am not sure what to do, his wife is all alone here, their children all live elsewhere and I am not sure if it is too soon to stop by to make sure she is holding up ...He went in for a minor procedure and all went well surgically but non responsive once he was in recovery room...Life is precious girls live it to the healthiest, fullest way possible....Rest in peace Aaron Sansic

Well girls i didn't get around to weigh in today, I am okay with that because this really doesn't matter to me today...No worries I am not much of an eater when I am feeling down and no I will not starve either...Maxine is doing the better than I expected, I took your suggestions and she wanted the word spread to all who loved him so that is my task although I have to be the bearer of bad news and relive the sorrow all over with each phone call...My facebook page serves as an unofficial memorial, and a few others saw fit to do the same..He was a father to many of us and loved by allHe has been with the company 30 plus years or so and has seen many come and go,At the Christmas parties every year his alter ego St. Dick graced our presence with quite the outfit and mini bottles of jager for all There was no such thing as a stranger to him.. He and his wife were always there with  loving hearts, open ears and sometimes a place to rest your head if you were down on your luck...He was many things to many people and we all have our special stories about him but for me he was  not only my boss, he was a friend, father, comic, musician who happens to remind me alot of Jerry Garcia(well a sober version of him lol)...I can go on and on for days about him so I will bid you Adieu for now .......Out out brief candle.....

Hey girlies!!! Thanks for all of your support today it means alot...I am soooo over talking on the phone...Well after dealing with grievers some in hysterics I am relieved this day is coming to a close..I am going to take a long break and check out what's going on with the rest of you girls  I am hoping that everyone had a wonderful day despite the chilly temps that have taken over most of the US!!!!! Stay warm everyone, off to read some diariesMuch Love

Good morning, V! Have a great day!

I'm so sorry to hear about your manager. If she's alone there I say just go over. If she wants to be alone she will let you know. Chances are she's still in shock and doesn't know what she wants, so a friendly face around to even just make coffee or whatever might be just what she needs.

Oh and I don't run :P My knees just can't handle it. If I'm out in this weather though I will probably trot LOL. Have a good one.

liza36 on 12/07/2010:
I'm so sorry to hear about your manager. That's tragic. It's never too soon to reach out to someone to see how they are holding up. I'm sure his wife would really appreciate that. Hang in there!

just42day on 12/07/2010:
Oh, so very sorry to hear about your manager. I think that's wonderfully sweet (and just like you) to think of his wife. Maybe you could stop by and drop off some food that she could either reheat or put in the freezer for when she doesn't feel like cooking. Something I think makes a difference, is not forgetting about her in a month or 2 when she'll still be alone and most others have paid their respects and think life just goes on. Or just offering to run errands? Maybe you could take her to Starbucks in a few weeks to make sure she's getting out and being thought of? Thanks, too, for your positive vibes for my mom. Really appreciate it.

I am SO sorry to hear about your manager... I agree, his wife is probably in shock right now. It is definitely a good reminder that life is short so live to the fullest. I will be thinking of her and you today!

KathyBlue on 12/07/2010:
Very sorry about your manager! I'm sure their children are already on their way to assist their mother. If you knew him well, and if you know her, maybe you should stop by and see how she's doing, if she needs some help of any kind... I haven't received anything yet, and you???? I posted two envelopes at the same time, one for you and one for moogy and she has received hers already :)

My sympathies on the loss of your manager. Sudden losses take your breath away. I agree, see the wife, she may want to be alone, but just knowing someone cares might be enough. Sweet of you to think of her. Take care.

so sorry to hear about ur manager V =( -hugs-

moogy on 12/07/2010:
He sounds like a really special loving man. We don't have to worry about where he is going. I am sure that if he had that many people who loved him, his wife will feel all that love now. It is usually a few weeks after the funeral and all that when the lonliness really sets in, maybe you could make sure she is doing OK not just for now but for later as well. Most people sort of just move on with their lives and the grieving person is really in a bad place. It is six thirty in the morning (Wed) as I type, four and half hours to go, have to have a bath and shave my legs. I only have to expose my tummy, but you never know do you????? LOL

V, what a tragedy. I am so sorry for you (and your whole workplace's) loss. He sounds like a really wonderful man, who will be missed be many people. I'm sure his wife will appreciate knowing how much you care, even if she isn't ready for company. I'll keep everyone in my prayers.

Umpqua on 12/07/2010:
You are amazing V. I'm sure you know you are at goal today or pretty darn close to it. But of course your weigh-in didn't even factor in with what you had to deal with today. You are doing a great job honoring your friend and manager and you should be proud. And when you do have your weigh in we will all celebrate and party with you over your amazing success. Your priorities are so clear, I think you are in such a healthy place to maintain this weightloss and healthy lifestyle! I'm so proud to have gotten to know you, you are a truly special person :)

panda22 on 12/07/2010:
Thanks for the comment =)....I'm so sorry to hear about your loss..that must be devastating for you =(. I'm glad you are thinking of all the good memories and are reaching out to others who knew him, although I know how hard it is to have to tell those people what happened as I had the same role when my mother-in-law passed of making those calls. Hang in there! Take some time for yourself to grieve and take care of yourself. We are all thinking of you!

Umpqua on 12/07/2010:
Haha, yeah please send me pics, that sounds like a riot. I'm glad you seem to be in decent spirits today, I think St. Dick would have wanted it that way ;)

"The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don't have any." - Alice Walker

Good morning Divas Yes it's super sunny however a mere 39 degrees..Now ths is far from record breaking however for Florida's standard it is chilly! Not much slated on the agenda today well with the exception of the usual, meals for the week preparation, workout and of course the highlight of the day getting my coffee...Speaking of which I have a newest member of my growing ever list of  fan club/stalkers....Friday as I sat on the patio of Starbucks, doing my crosswords guy rolls up on his bike and asks might he sit with me of course...At a glance he was kinda cute and his bike was a really nice Ferrarri well dressed smelled really good, nice Ferragamo shoes and a pretty showy Rolex to boot! As a fashionista I am just guessing that just what he was wearing alone could feed a small country..However it was kind of a turnoff as he sat there and gawked with a grin and said very little He did manage to utter that he sees me t here alot and that was about it...Shy or just creepy??? Only time will tell...LOL

Well i am off to see what you lovelies are up to...Have a wonderful day, much love to you

Well Patrick Bateman(nameless Ferragamo shoe wearer so we shall call hin that til I find out his name...Thanks Umpqua) didn't show at Starbucks today, but my buddies that work there always said he was asking all sorts of questions about me..Anyways it has warmed up slightly and I am waiting for Rich to show up and I am hoping he doesn't show on the motorcycle, temps are up a bit but still a brisk 50 degrees...Turkey patties are made and I have everything prepared to pop in the oven when i get back from my workout....What's on the menu this week??? Lean finger ribs marinated in spicy mustard and balsamic vinegar, and chicken breast...I hope everyone's Monday went well...

Oh btw Skinnygirl sends her love to all I talked to her today and she shall return to DD soon but she told me to tell everyone HELLO talk to you when I return!

She's back!!!! As suspected Rich shows up on his crotch rocket and going to the gym wasn't so bad but the ride home was a frozen tundra!!!! LOl  It is off to see whatsa happening with you lovely ladies this evening

B- Starbucks, 1 pear, 1 wedge lc light, 2 celery stalks, 1 tbsp hummus

L- 3 oz lean turkey patty, 1 slice ff cheddar, 2 slices extra lean turkey bacon

D- 6 oz lean finger ribs marinated in spicy mustard and balsamic vin, 1/2 cup sauteed collards, 1/4 cup romaine, 1 tbsp taboule, 1 tbsp chickpea, 1 tbsp edamame salad, 1 oz ff feta,1 oz sunflower kernels, red wine vin

1 gallon water, 2 celsius

Progress as of today: 89.8 lbs lost so far, only 2.2 lbs to go!

just42day on 12/06/2010:
hmm; creepy w/money? Lethal combo. Time will tell. :)

Umpqua on 12/06/2010:
I hope just shy but be careful (I know you are). Hope you have a great Monday!

hollybelle on 12/06/2010:
Love the quote. Alice Walker is/was a marvolous writer! Heard FL is having REALLY chilly weather - sorry! OK what does it say that we actually judge a man by his shoes? I do. They don't have to really expensisve - just good looking and stylish for me! I think his comment was the opening to conversation...Did you talk back?

hollybelle on 12/06/2010:
P.S. I know someone who met their husband at Starbucks. The pastor or the church I sometimes attend - he was sitting in SB's reading (you guessed it - his BIBLE) and she just commented "It's so nice to see a man reading a bible". The rest is history! They are a lovely couple. Married about a year ago.

LOLOLOL, make sure the Rolex is not one from the spam e-mails :-o Well, let's wait for the next move... see, I would have reacted all bad for sure... I am such a lost case! Now that I think about this, if I wouldn't have met my man online, I dunno if I would have anyone now...

selina on 12/06/2010:
I'd find someone like you describe pretty creepy, myself. You seem to be so self confident - good for you!!! Stay safe!

Umpqua on 12/06/2010:
It was horseradish hummus last night, guacamole a couple of nights ago. I got a few things at Trader Joe's and thought I could handle it, apparently not! And I have more in the house so that's why I'm declaring no more snacking. We'll see if I can stick to it :)

Oh and I love Patrick Bateman, one of my favorite movies. If your bike guy looks anything like Christian Bale, you are in big trouble!

KathyBlue on 12/06/2010:
LOL ... good talent :D

Maria7 on 12/06/2010:
I really like the above quote at the top of your entry. :-)

selina on 12/06/2010:
Thank you V, you are so sweet!!!

getmebackto150 on 12/06/2010:
I'm hoping shy, b/c otherwise, that would defintely be creep. 39 is DEFINITELY cold for florida standards... Its 25 here in upstate NY and feels like 0! This is definitely the coldest its been this year... Have a great day!

Bikiniwax85 on 12/06/2010:
uhhh... Weird... I think if that happen to me i'll just move away. Lol.. I am not good with small talk. Lol.. Specially with people that shows up from Marz with flashy, nice ferragamo shoe! :P But, if he is cute ill stay a lil longer and wait the next day the same spot for him. Ah, desparado me! lolz.. Anyways Hope your day will be as awesome as you! take care!

OpenMyWings on 12/06/2010:
I'd say creepy... if he sat and gawked and didn't have much to say. Definitely creepy. Stay warm today :)

liza36 on 12/06/2010:
I think the guy situation is borderline creepy, but we do have to acknowledge that it takes a lot of courage to approach someone like he did, and sit down. You have to keep us posted! I always live vicariously through others, my life is SO boring!

liza36 on 12/06/2010:
Great suggestions and thanks for the encouragement RE: eating out. I think I really need to get into the habit of cooking, and avoid eating out at the moment. I know I have a few events coming up where I will be eating out, and I'll deal with those. I must conquer the cooking at home, eating healthier, and using what's in my freezer, pantry, fridge - because I have tons of food, it just needs preparing somehow into something!

moogy on 12/06/2010:
A little bit creepy if you as me. Maybe you could bottle your pheromones and sell them to lovelorn women - you seem to attract them like flies. Boys on bikes however, yum!!! That does it for me, a few years ago, well about ten I think, I was parked at the traffic lights behind a boy on a big black bike, he was wearing blue jeans, white t-shirt, boots, sooooo hot and I proceeded to follow behind him for about 30 minutes before I came to my senses and went home. I remember it fondly!!

Umpqua on 12/06/2010:
If he shows up with a chainsaw, run the other way! For you my dear: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_q514fFpQvPk/TLLVVDcd4cI/AAAAAAAAA9M/bH3pDvSchaQ/s400/bateman1.jpg

Ah, motorcycle riding weather, lucky you. Hubby and I gave up our bikes when I got pregnant. He took it up again briefly a couple of years ago and decided to quit again until the boys are older. Just too risky. That said, it's all he ever talks about and we have all kinds of plans to tour the country (and hopefully other countries) in our retirement. I have to say I can't wait to ride again, it's so much fun!

loveray on 12/06/2010:
love to hear about your fun escapades and hope that he turns out cute and not creepy!! when are you to begin your vegetable-friendly-diet? xo

moogy on 12/06/2010:
Now the creepy guy sounds even creepier, asking questions about you!!! Hope that you are keeping warm, the Floridians must think hell is freezing over!! LOL I remember you telling me once that it rarely drops below 50 degrees. This really is a cold spell!!:)

moogy on 12/06/2010:
V, all they do is find the 'port' that sits at the top of my stomach and push a needle through to it, doesn't really hurt, just like getting a needle. The doctor who does it is lovely. It is a specialty clinic attatched to the private hospital and all they do is bariatric surgery and they are really good at it. It will only take a few minutes and then the hour and half drive home, it is a bit of a drive to get there. Thank you for all your support and love, it touches my heart.:)

Umpqua on 12/06/2010:
Happy to make you laugh! And it's probably a good thing I don't live near you cuz I'd be coming over your house for shots from that machine you have. And that would be dangerous!

Yep, I did have my own bike. A tiny little 250cc Suzuki but my very own. I was getting ready to upgrade to a Ninja and then I had to go and get pregnant. What the hell was I thinking? My Dad was a motorcycle rider and I have great memories of riding on the back of his as a kid. My MIL was always petrified of us riding though. They tell you in motorcycle education that you are invisible on a bike and you should operate as such. And it's true, seems like the larger the vehicle, the more careless people are about cutting you off and stuff. As for practical, it's the cheapest way to get around, bikes get insane gas mileage. But yeah, there's that element of danger that comes from OTHER drivers on the road. I still miss it.....some day :)

moogy on 12/06/2010:
I was thinking that maybe you look lonely/mysterious/sexy/available/unavailable/ and of the listed. My daughter and I have 'it' that mysterious thing that attracts men. Her best friend doesn't have 'it' and is always asking how to get it. My mother always taught me how to walk chest out, shoulders back, one foot in front of the other so that the hips swing. I am sure I taught my daughter the same thing, but I don't think that is how you get 'it', I think some women have 'it' and some don't. Even now men check me out, 55, short, overweight, but I still have 'it', admittedly the men are usually much older, but hey!! I will take what I can get. Does wonders for the confidence. On the bike front, my husband had a bike when he was 16, man, he was hot on that bike, that was what did the trick, plus he was really good looking, hence the fabulous looking grandchildren. LOL

moogy on 12/06/2010:
Yes, and it isn't as if we are trying, it just comes naturally, my daughter and I were walking through an underground car park a few weeks ago, obviously mother and daughter, we are both well endowded in the breast department. A father and son walked toward us and as they past us we overheard the father say, wow, did you see those two (we presumed it was both of us and not one set of breasts)!!!! Cracked us both up - we could have pulled!!!! Funny that your mom taught you to use what she gave you as well!!

lifestylechange on 12/06/2010:
LOVE your quote! Thanks so much for the positive energy, I really need and appreciate it right now...I am physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted...my busy, crazy, hectic life is catching up with me and today I just needed to lay low and reflect I guess...Hopefully I'll be cheery and back to my usual self tomorrow!! Again, I SO appreciate YOU for being YOU!!!

Yikes, too cold for the motorcycle! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Spaghetti squash is so easy and awesome! I actually made it for the first time last week. You can roast it or nuke it, but I have been nuking it, to save calories from olive oil, and b/c I am lazy. I followed the directions here: http://startcooking.com/blog/523/Spaghetti-Squash ...I am a fan, because it's a great carrier food (like you could put sauce or whatever with it for a one bowl meal) and you can have a big hot bowl of it, but it's veggie instead of carbs! Delicious!

chidogs on 12/06/2010:
V, thanks for the encouraging words. It is a tough time of year, and my security blanket has always been the worst foods around! I'm going to hand on to every word you say and try to overcome this! Thanks so much. Love you back.

(Low Carb)
Weight: 137.2

Good morning ladies! I almost forgot to post here having a little too much fun with today's fb challenge...Well I kinda slept in til 7 but not a big deal since I am off today...I am  planning to get moving soon my grocery store is having a pretty good sale today so I hope to get there before getting too packed...i also have to get my lashes touched up but i will be back to update my fun fun evening out with my BFF Well off to read and respond...Love ya girlies

Back from my adventures today!!! I even managed NOT to go inside the stores around the spa as I waited for Heidi....I came prepared with my Harpers Bazaar that was waiting in the mail last night..I patiently waited as I drooled over the wonderful designer goodies in the magazine especially the Vince Camuto shoes and Gucci's new fragrance "Guilty"..

I am really glad I didn't give in to my urge to shop because our 2 days of really warm weather will come to a close this evening and so far it looks like I will be missing a day or two of work again this week, a cold front approches..

Last night Val and I got a chance to spend some time together, I only worked lunch because as i suspected temps dipped as soon as sunset..We went to Abbey Road  an we chatted up a storm caught up on gossip about our latest Yummykins and was slightly over served.. For some reason everywhere we go the drinks are hella strong!!! I told Cheryl (the bartender) she wasn't doing us a favor by pouring such "generous portions" 1 drink lasted us an HOUR!! LOL I had to continuously dilute my drink with celsius...

Well girls it is off to watch some football!!! Yaaaayyyyyyy catch ya in a bit!!!

B- Starbucks, 1 pink lady apple, 1/4 cup lf cottage cheese

L- 1 cup romaine,1 tbsp edanme salad, 1 tbsp chickpea salad, 1 tsp hummus, 4 slices extra lean turkey bacon, 1 oz ff feta, 1 oz sunflower kernels, red wine vin

D- 6 oz lean turkey patties,1 slice ff cheddar, 1/2 cup romaine,1 tbsp edamame, 1 tbsp chickpea salad, red onions, red wine vin

1 gallon water, 1 celsius

Great football played today ladies *Crickets* LOL I know I was hoping someone watched a game or two today

Progress as of today: 89.8 lbs lost so far, only 2.2 lbs to go!

ooo fun times! love days with the bff - what kind of treatment do you get on your lashes? did you have them dyed/tinted? i have always wanted to wear falsies but have never tried before. xo

OpenMyWings on 12/05/2010:
Having been a stylist for 16 years, dying/tinting/painting eyelashes is a BIG no-no. There are too many risks of the dye getting into the eyes and causing serious problems. Be careful!

moogy on 12/05/2010:
I hope you had a good time with your shopping and pampering. Love you girlie.

Hello there... :-)

Well, if it does, fine, if not, fine. I'm about the size I'm happy being and have resigned myself that my goalweight doesn't have to be an exact 140.0. (Just stay close to it!). Btw, you have really done well in acheiving your goalweight! :-D

moogy on 12/05/2010:
I am glad that you survived your generous drink servings in one piece and that you are home safe and sound.

KathyBlue on 12/05/2010:
in addition now I'm receiving messages from strangers on FB saying that I'm cute... ARGH...

KathyBlue on 12/05/2010:
thanks for the compliments, babe :) It means a lot to me! I knew you'd approve my new looks... :-)))

Umpqua on 12/05/2010:
Good job not doing any additional shopping today! I have no desire to go in any store this time of year. Even Trader Joe's was packed with people stocking on huge tins of popcorn for the holiday, it was insane! I think we may, for the first time ever, "adopt a family" as our holiday gift for the extended family. With 9 grandchildren the gift giving gets out of control and meaningless. I would love to help out a family in need instead, that would actually make me feel good instead of buying pounds of useless plastic....Sorry for venting on your entry. I've already been called a Scrooge by certain friends but I do not understand the consumerism of this season and it kinda gets to me!

Umpqua on 12/05/2010:
I really want to teach my kids that giving is so much more meaningful than receiving. They are so impressionable and this is the age to do it at IMO. Hubby is trying to put this together through a program at his job (ESPN). His human resources department has some sort of program, I'll find out more about it this week and will gladly pass on the info. I'll probably write about it in an entry since I can't seem to stop myself from pontificating about this shizzle this time of year ;) It's just the complete saturation of it everywhere and the BUY BUY BUY that gets to me....Don't even get me started on Santa Claus. We are confronting that beast now since older son understands it for the first time.

biscottibody59 on 12/05/2010:
To your question, if it's veg oil then I guess it's still vegan. A vegan to my understanding doesn't wear anything made of animals as well as not eating animal products.

Also I keep seeing gtmebkto150 writing "natural," and just wanted to let you know it's actually a marketing term here in the US, whereas if something's labeled organic--that's a regulated term.

Cheers!

just42day on 12/05/2010:
hmmm - I'll email you my address.

just42day on 12/05/2010:
Curious - did you address it to Just42day or use my alias? Mansion? Gated community? The closest I'll get to a gated community is a padded cell. No mail box # - just the street address as given. Sure wish all my bills would be returned...

just42day on 12/05/2010:
Curious -- what are you going to do to celebrate when you reach the 90 lb loss mark -- which you'll hit this week?

Umpqua on 12/05/2010:
Aw thanks ;) I was just talking to my girlfriend about this today b/c her niece (around 9) was diagnosed with high cholesterol. My own niece has been too. This generation of kids is in for some serious health problems unless things start to change.

This is the first year Jake (turning 4 in a week) "gets" the concept of Santa. He told me tonight, Santa is bringing me presents! Hubby and I had decided not to do the list of fictitious gift bearers - Santa, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy for a number of reasons. This is something we've debated and given a lot of thought to over the years. We've skated by the last 2 years since Jake didn't understand Santa. He doesn't even remember last Christmas. So this is a turning point on whether we make good on our convictions about this.

I should be writing about this on my own diary, but it's way too controversial so instead I'm leaving it in your comments. "L" is for lame ;P I don't want to drone on and on about it, but it's a challenge the hubby and I are facing anyways.

sweetpea1977 on 12/05/2010:
lol sorry! I know how you feel though. If I weren't pregnant I would have joined in on the fun. I just had to make sure I didnt lose track of him in the huge building. :)

Wishlists are great. I come up with a small one for my M-I-L each year since she insists on having one (and refuses our multiple requests of gift cards). She also asks for a wishlist for Ethan, which I find funny since he is at at age where almost anything would be fun as long as its boy oriented. She doesnt know how to make decisions, I guess. Anyway, I eventually gave in and came up with a big list on Target's website, just so I dont have to hear her constantly beg me for a list. The funny thing is that she has no clue how the internet works so she goes to the store to buy everything....the shocker is that the store doesnt carry every single item on the list, lol. She doesnt even think to check other stores for the same toys. At some point during the process, her husband ends up taking over with the purchases since he is internet savvy and is tired of her constant nagging about not being able to find anything on the list. lol

Im doing ok. Still sick and am feeling super-exhausted. I think I will be going to bed early!

sweetpea1977 on 12/05/2010:
PS. We watched the Falcons game today. Very exciting game!!

sweetpea1977 on 12/05/2010:
No you didnt!! Yay! My mom was born in Illinois, so she was a Bears fan. I also support the Ravens since I lived in Maryland for the years. Before I moved to Atlanta, the Redskins were my main team since I was born in their city. :) I think the main team I can't stand is New Orleans. I am SO sick of hearing "WHO DAT!" Ugh!!

hopingforhealth on 12/05/2010:
I'm glad you had such a nice time with Val! A cocktail every now and then is allowed (at least I think so). :) And way to resist the shopping... I am struggling with cutting myself off buying presents for myself, so I can afford presents for others. I think I am cut off till Christmas, at least!

Have a great evening!

hopingforhealth on 12/05/2010:
Not yet. I think I might wear one from an old year. I don't want to spend the money on it! It's next week though, so I better decide soon!

hopingforhealth on 12/05/2010:
ha ha. We'll see. I might feel scandalous here on dd. I'll email one at least :)

Umpqua on 12/04/2010:
Good news on working today. In my defense, I was busy socializing at my bridal shower, which happened to be at my own house. So I had no idea veggie cousin was devouring the bacon dip! My friend took me aside in the kitchen and mentioned it after the fact, so it was too late to alert her at that point. She probably did get sick, poor girl :(

My ex BF used to use that "off like a prom dress" expression all the time. But I won't hold it against you ;)

just42day on 12/04/2010:
Hope you have a great weekend and stay out of serious trouble (some trouble is expected with you, just don't make it serious trouble).

hollybelle on 12/04/2010:
I miss the long hours of sunshine in the Summer! O

Sounds like a nice warm day there...we are to get up around 50 or so, I think for our highs today. :-)

OpenMyWings on 12/04/2010:
Can we trade? It's only 28 degrees here...

moogy on 12/04/2010:
I am glad that you get to work today, I get a bit worried about you meandering around with nothing in particular to do. It leaves a girl like you with all sort of temptations available. I hope you had a good shift with lots of generous people around.:))

loveray on 12/04/2010:
her site looks awesome, i will have to check her out. if you are ever up this way we should definitely get on the plant-eating train and go to some of the good places:) xo

I think I told you this already, but my ex-fiance used the "prom dress" saying too. Drove me nuts. Though, I find it funny whenever a woman says it. ;)

V - Friday Dec 03, 2010
(Low Carb)
Weight: 137.2

Good morning ladies I am sure some of you are a bit shocked as to my news yesteday, I guess because i always have lots to say the words all sound the same...I am pretty sure i posted on Tuesday that I would be starting a plant based diet, now I will have to check, LOl...Now this is definetly something I didn't come up with overnight, i have been picking Loveray's and Biscotti's brain for months now....Like i said i am 100% committed to my health and well being and what better tribute to my body than to treat it in the best way possible....I have spent oodles of money buying books, going on line and as i said yesterday this makes more sense to me than anything i have read thusfar....Now that I am almost to my goal weight why not take it a step further and address my internal health as well......Let's put it this way why spend lots of money getting a paint job on your car if you don't pop the hood and get a tune-up, change spark plugs and such...Makes sense??? It does to me So I know this is completely off the wall to some but you I have to serve my temple the best way possible.**** And since my mom is totally against my wishes to be cremated(she has a family plot obsession) I want to be the best looking corpse Ever!!! I really would love a proper Viking cremation at sea but that is not an option anymore! LOl ****

Well girls much love to you, have a wonderful day

Okay i checked I did post it on Tuesday's entry but that where i posted the before and after..makes sense..LOl

Well it is another day off for me  That sums it up for me in a nutshell!!! Now before I add Rumble Fish (another cast of hotties) as a bonus to the sock puppet masterpiece theater,  I must go out into the world(Starbucks) for some inspiration!!!! Check back in with you!!!!

Hey ladies!!! Well it seems that by all of your responses here, this is a hot topic...My current MD is the reason behind all of my reasearch and actually stumbling upon DD....I had so many unanswered questions and this moron could never look me in the eye let alone give me a clear cut answer to any of my questions I had...My mother always told me to go out and seek the truth and never take what someone tells you to be the truth until you yourself(me) does a little digging on your own.....I find it astouding that he takes my questions as an insult instead of a patient that wants to learn everything she should know about her  health (I could go on and on about Dr. clueless but you get my meaning)

Today i went out and done a little reasearch and got alot more than expected, including a tummy ache LOl ....As I stood at the counter of the deli of this "health food " store , the very eager clerk had lots of suggestions, imput and lots of samples...Now although this girl was super friendly, super helpful, she was clueless!!! LOl  I am pretty sure that between the canola oils(I haven't had in 7 months or so) or the veganaise(I never liked real mayo either) my tummy is feeling a little topsy turvy Moral of story, always read the fine print...LOL..Now I must invest in a decent  food processor so i can make my own versions of some of the things i sampled and just modify the recipe...Well girls I hope everyone had a good day...Time to catch up with you guys...It is so weird being home on a Friday night!!!

B- Starbucks 1 pear, 2 wedges lc lght

L- Harvest loaf, Perfect Protien Salad, Wheatberry Waldorf Salad, Grilled tofu. black bean salad

D- 6 oz lean firecracker turkey patty 1 cup sauteed collards

1 gallon water

Progress as of today: 89.8 lbs lost so far, only 2.2 lbs to go!

just42day on 12/03/2010:
fyi: been busy girl this a.m.; addressed lots of xmas cards, did dishes, drank too much coffee but scale graciously took 1 lb away from me already. Yeah! Have a fabulous day! Looking forward to the sock puppet premiere...

loveray on 12/03/2010:
awesome - i am focusing on plant based again - i go in cycles where i feel that i need more protein, but it's just unreliable in our society today with all of the added toxins. oy vey!! love to you.

just42day on 12/03/2010:
hmm, plant based, huh? Look forward to seeing your meal plans and, of course, I wish you the best with it! Give me a day or two and I'll come up with new nickname for you. Young grasshopper just doesn't seem to fit anymore. :)

selina on 12/03/2010:
I like the idea of going vegetarian! There are so many ways to be a vegetarian and have a well balanced diet. Have a great day!

sweetpea1977 on 12/03/2010:
I dont see myself ever going vegetarian much less vegan unless I was given strict orders by my doctor. But, in the last couple of years, I have tried to cut way back on meat, especially the red stuff. I think I eat steak like 3-4 times a year and high quality beef burgers a little more often. I treat red meat as a special occasion food, much like dessert. Most of my meat consumption is lean cuts of poultry and pork.

You know, I think it would be cool know what your current cholesterol levels and body fat percentages are. Then once you've been a vegan for a year, get them re-checked. I bet the change in results would be astonishing and a real motivator to keep you on this path. :)

Anyway, I fully support your decision and wish you the best of luck with it!!

sweetpea1977 on 12/03/2010:
As for my stuff, most of it is stuff that we never unpacked from our move in May 2009. Other stuff includes the furniture (coffee tables, lamps, two really big fish tanks and their stands, tv and tv stand, bookcase, barware, as well as a brand new breakfast table we bought for our old house's breakfast nook) we had in our old finished basement but is going unused since our current basement is unfinished (and turned into a storage unit, lol). Also, my sis lived with me for a bit at the old house so I still have some of her stuff. Then there is the ever-growing pile of Ethan's baby stuff that I plan on re-using on baby boy. Then there is holiday/birthday decorations and accessories and a huge pile of gift-wrap supplies. Ugh, so much stuff!!!

Umpqua on 12/03/2010:
I'm pretty much aiming for what Sweetpea does. My problem is with the quality of most of the food on the market. Everything from meat to boxed products is just stuffed with corn and soy fillers - nasty! It's too bad Trader Joe's isn't closer to you. Whole Foods is pretty expensive, but TJ's is reasonable so it's worth a 45-minute drive for me. Maybe you can start getting some of your basic stuff online? That might be a cheaper alternative than the sometimes pricey health food stores.

I think you've made a wonderful decision and you have such a great holistic attitude toward your health. Woot woot!!

KathyBlue on 12/03/2010:
I wouldn't be able to go vegetarian.... I really need some meat/fish from time to time. But would you give up on fish also?

biscottibody59 on 12/03/2010:
I so appreciate swtp77's comments above. The short story on drs is that they're not going to tell you how to eat unless there's $$$ in it for them. Especially if they've completely given up "fixing" their own health because they're too busy or don't think they're worth it.

For me this has been a process really since I picked up the books called the "The Save Your Life Diet" and "Sugar Blues" in the 1970s. For me time will tell.

The dirty little secret is that doctors want your business and in order for them to stay in business you CANNOT be pursuing GOOD HEALTH. Cynical as hell, yes, but in our system prevention is just not feasible. Insurance companies don't pay for it for crying out loud!

Off my soapbox in your entry for now!

Yes I'll be here--it looks like you've got kindred spirits with you in your own family--you can't buy that kind of support! And you seem determined, so I can see no downside. It's just a matter of seeing if it works for you. If it doesn't, no harm done. And if you go with the full plan and then change it up to suit you--it still can't be bad.

Have a good one!

ps I like the tune-up analogy--for heart disease the drs tune-up involves at the extreme, surgery!

sweetpea1977 on 12/03/2010:
I think if you slowly transitioned yourself to consuming less animal proteins is the way to go (which I think you had said you were doing). Even if you don't ever make the 100% transition to a vegan diet, you'll still be doing your body a huge favor. :)

tangalyn on 12/03/2010:
ur diet plans sound awesome V, good luck with everything, hope u have a great day

KathyBlue on 12/03/2010:
ahh ok, I'm with you :) You'll be a complete herbivore :) psst... meanwhile, the pants arrived :)

Umpqua on 12/03/2010:
Aww thanks! It's only 0.2 pounds, but it puts me in the "lower 130s" and that much closer to the 120s....Yes, McD's is good for the playground and bathrooms while traveling. That's it!

getmebackto150 on 12/03/2010:
I switched to a vegetarian diet in April of this year and I NEVER thought that I would do this, NEVER... It drove me a little crazy, so I made a compromise and incorportated fish back into my diet, but no other meat and I LOVE it... I'm so happy that I made the transition!!!!! I can't wait to see/hear about the next phase of your journey!

KathyBlue on 12/03/2010:
dang, no time to wash them bc I don't have a machine to dry clothes... I use the extending method and it takes long days to get the clothes dry in these weather conditions...

Umpqua on 12/03/2010:
Oh and I haven't had the cajones to bring a packed lunch to McD's - yet. I figure they might kick me out for bringing in outside food! I'll have to try it though since picnic tables aren't an option with temps in the 20s F.

RE biscotti's comment, I tend to agree about doctors. I have had wonderful success with my GP and the boys' pediatrician. Both are MDs AND osteopaths (D.O.), and take a very different approach to health than most of the MDs I've dealt with. Much more emphasis on healthy lifestyle and prevention and less on prescriptions and treating symptoms. They also take time to sit and chat with us and are never trying to rush us through. It might be worth seeking one out as you get further along in your journey.

OK, now I'm really leaving to go outside. Turning...off....computer....

Sofia on 12/03/2010:
Is plant-based completely vegan? if so, you may want to see a nutritionist to get input on how to do it without sacrificing any any important nutrients. It may be hard at first to stay on the diet, but you know you have a huge support grout behind you!

selina on 12/03/2010:
Merci, V!

I agree so completely with Biscotti concerning doctors. In my experience, they actually don't care if you get well or not as long as they can push the medicine and/or surgical procedures on us and make their money. Argh, don't get me started on this....

sweetpea1977 on 12/03/2010:
No, I think Publix has awesome deals, its just that they have a really small selection of natural or organic foods when compared to TJ and WF. Trader Joes is all natural and organic (as far as I can tell) and prenty inexpensive. I wish we had Sweetbay's around here. I hear those places are awesome!

moogy on 12/03/2010:
How did you know that I love handbags, I have a huge blanket drawer full of them, but there is still room for more and these ones are really pretty. You are such a sweetheart and your sentiments are returned to you. It was a lovely suprise, like a little bit of love through the mail. You seem to have got everyone talking and thinking about healthy stuff - I wonder where alcohol will fit in to this temple food program?????????????LOL

liza36 on 12/03/2010:
Sounds like you've done tons of research and reading, and that's always wise. I'll be so interested how it turns out for you. I fully support whatever decision is best for you!

hollybelle on 12/03/2010:
What??? No ribs???

moogy on 12/03/2010:
I make my own mayo V, remember make a small batch of whatever you do, because it doesn't last long, even in the fridge. Handy hint!!

moogy on 12/03/2010:
He is here at the moment, he stayed over after the carols, and had taken the big boys to help look for a place to rent. I hear his voice and I just feel sick in the stomach, it isn't him it is just that it brings back memories. I think that whacking him might make matter's worse. I went down to take out some rubbish earlier when he was not here and my daughter just look so sad. It is heartbreaking.

just42day on 12/03/2010:
Young grasshopper is very wise to investigate on her own. There's no excuse for that doctor's behavior. Two years ago (when I had the little brain tumor incident), I had the absolute best dr in the world. I took in 2 pages of questions to my pre-surgical appt. After completing the first page of questions, I said, "I'm sorry but I have more questions." He just gently smiled and said "It's your brain. You can ask as many questions as you like". This dr's a saint in my book and you deserve someone similar. .... I mailed a card to FL this morning.....Let me know if you happen to receive it :)

Maria7 on 12/03/2010:
Hello there!

just42day on 12/03/2010:
Boy, I'd love to be a fly on the wall when you give your dr your farwell speech. Maybe you could incorporate that into sock puppet masterpiece theatre?

just42day on 12/03/2010:
As you can tell, I'm quite taken with your sock puppet masterpiece theatre concept. I really want to see your production.

Umpqua on 12/03/2010:
Yes, I think that counts as cross contamination - bizarre! I worked at a health food store for a couple of years and they have their own little unique culture. My boss (the owner of the store) was a piece of work. He was a salesman first and foremost, and I think he took advantage of a lot of the customers.

My food processor is Krups, I love it. I also have their coffee grinder and espresso machine and I've had all of these small appliances for 10+ years, so I can attest to their longevity and awesomeness. Not terribly expensive, probably mid-range for price.

I knew you had issues with your doctor, so I'm not surprised by what you wrote. Typical. Are you planning to do Esselstyn in terms of no nuts, no oils? That's going to present an added challenge. Is that part of the vegan definition or is that his thing? I have no clue where the lines are drawn on all this stuff. Your lunch sounds interesting :)

hopingforhealth on 12/03/2010:
It's funny, when I am eating bad, I have a problem with not eating enough meat sometimes! Once in college, I even got turned away from giving blood for being anemic, which happened for me because I wasn't getting enough protein. So part of my healthy changes is making sure I get more meat, and protein. But I think going vegetarian is great and very healthy too. I have had (and have) a decent number of veggie friends. I think that there are a couple things people do wrong when going veggie: 1) thinking if something is vegetarian, it's healthy (so so so wrong, but I know you wouldn't make that mistake!) and 2) not getting enough (non meat based) proteins in their diets. So I think as long as you are careful about that you'll do great. Oh, and one other thing: soy is high in estrogen, which is no big deal, but if you have a strong history of breast cancer in your family (I'm lucky not to) you need to be careful not to have too much, because there can be a correlation there. Now you know practically everything I know about it, and knowing you, you probably already knew all that already!

hopingforhealth on 12/03/2010:
Oh, and one more thing in my epic posts tonight: I did Zumba tonight, and I decided "I bet if V taught a fitness class, she'd be like this zumba instructor!" She is funny and enthusiastic and encouraging, and damn does she have moves :)

Umpqua on 12/03/2010:
That reminds me of my bridal shower. My good friend made a bacon dip and she watched in horror as my vegetarian cousin scarfed it up. She didn't have the heart to tell her it was full of bacon - I don't understand how my cousin couldn't tell!

I haven't read the Esselstyn book, I plan to pick it up after the holidays. I watched Food, Inc. earlier in the week, which pretty much confirmed everything that's been lurking in the back of my mind about our food supply chain in this country. My father-in-law is also a former farmer (has a degree in agriculture, comes from a farming family, the real deal). And he has long talked about the horrors of farming in this country, even if he's not really into nutrition and healthy eating. He's just mortified at the farming practices used today and where the subsidies are allocated.

Are you planning to consult a nutritionist or seek out a different doc? Just curious. I'm sure you've done your research in terms of how much protein you should be getting, etc. And you are already in good shape so I bet you'll be able to follow your body's cues to a large extent.

hopingforhealth on 12/03/2010:
I know right? The half I ate hasn't made me sick, but I just wasn't willing to risk it. Eating at home really is a safer bet! ha.

hopingforhealth on 12/03/2010:
Have a great night; I'm reading up a storm tonight too!

nita51 on 12/04/2010:
Love you too V, Did you get your Christmas card yet?

sweetpea1977 on 12/04/2010:
Ethan did GREAT with Santa. They had a good conversation and we got lots of great photos! I think big secret of success was the very short wait in line. We only had 3-4 families in front of us before it was our turn. We'll definitely be visiting him on a non-weekend from here on out! :)

V - Thursday Dec 02, 2010
(Low Carb)
Weight: 137.2

Good Morning ladies!!! i have a feeling I will be back shortly with you but I still must prepare for work just in case...Temps are a mere 41degrees and very windy it is likely that they wont get out of the 50's by sunset so it might be an extra day off this week, dare I say It is fine because I am pretty much set with my bills, rent til Feb. and such and the "rainy day/cold weather fund" hasn't been used much this year so no worries for this girl....And I will not fall for my GM's little tricks this time either...Perhaps if he is a really good boy I might still stop by to bring him some Starbucks So I am going to shower and give it a few before I call to see if I am working or not...i will keep you posted....Have a wonderful day ladies!!!! Much love to you

She's baaaaack!!! Well that didn't take long!!!! Now what to do with my day?????Hummm??? To be continued......Off to read a few diaries while I decide

Back again girlies....I was so dazed and confused with what to do with my extra day...I know most would be happy to chill at home but you all know how antsy/hyper I am...LOL I did get a chance to spend a little time with Kathy Blue today had ourselves quite the gabfest...Our schedule differences doesn't allow us to chat very often so that was nice...After logging off I found myself a little bored and was going to put on my sock puppet show rendition of "The Outsiders" (amazing cast of hotness, Matt Dillon, Patrick Swazye, C Thomas Howell,Rob Lowe,Emillio Estevez,Ralph Macchio and Tom Cruise) but since I did laudry i didn't have enough dirty socks for the greasers, not to mention the gang fight scene!!! LOL ( I know a little bizzare right??)

I did manage to avoid shopping and cocktails, although it was $5 Martini afternoon at my friend Chrissy's bar ( My favorite Dirty Martini with Peppar or Chipolte Vodka super filthy dirty with blue cheese stuffed olives) Yummy!!!! I opted for an afternoon with Rich instead..He is super funny as we were working out, he stops and says "I'm gonna miss ya Dog" LOL....Growing up with a house full of boys and constantly surrounded by men, I am used to being called Bro, Dude, Man et al ...But this is hysterical!

I am hoping that it will be warm enough for work tomorrow I don't think I could stand 2 unexpected days off in a row, I would surely die of boredom or OD on Starbucks...Since shopping is out what else is there???LOL

Love you so much V Thanks for accepting him. He was afraid to let you all know, he was a guy, for fear of rejection. Bunches of Hugs. Your card & little package is on it's way. :)

sweetpea1977 on 12/02/2010:
Wow, thats pretty chilly for Florida! I hope you are able to enjoy a day off today!

KathyBlue on 12/02/2010:
Second helping on the dessert, I had grilled chicken breast for dinner and it added up... :-) I had dessert too but a very slow amount. I don't have the craving for it, not like before when I could eat a whole cake without hesitation. I have the hesitation now, and I am able to come to terms before any disaster happens...

Umpqua on 12/02/2010:
Yay for an extra day off then! You are right, I just need to listen to my body and it will guide me ;P Have an awesome day!

KathyBlue on 12/02/2010:
Yeah, THAT intensity and vigor... where is it now, I wonder. We went to eat out on Tuesday (sushi), and there was this huge woman in the restaurant, eating all sorts of deep-fried Chinese rolls and cr(é)p(e)s... I had a copy of my diet (asked for it at the Doctor's on Monday) and I wanted to give her a copy and tell her my story sooo much but I chickened out... I know how I would react in her place... not good. She must know it by herself... And then, there was this woman today at the gym's shower... half of the face "fallen" (mean she had an accident or a stroke), and she was telling an other girl how proud and surprised she was, that she could do the exercises well... Life's little stories all around, they teach me lessons.. yet I am ungrateful now and my willpower is down such as my spirit. You know, even then I have noticed my choices now are so much better than they were before! And I don't commit any food-crimes anymore, so I'll get back on track, baby, hell I will!!! :)

sweetpea1977 on 12/02/2010:
Yea, I get grossed out by those shows too. I do not understand hoarding at all, but I guess it is just like any other OCD out there. They just happen to enjoy collecting stuff they'll never use. What weirds me out the most is the stories of hoarders who will buy the house next door just so they have more room to hoard more stuff. So sad.

I promise not to overdo my exercises. I am paranoid about injuring the baby, as I still feel some guilt for going running during my last pregnancy (which resulted in a miscarriage). So after getting pregnant this time, I always listen carefully to my body to insure I am not working out too hard. I rather under-exercise than over-exercise while pregnant!

getmebackto150 on 12/02/2010:
Yay for a day off... Enjoy the cool weather as I'm sure you will be sweating again soon... Have a great day!

KathyBlue on 12/02/2010:
Thanks, my lovely Sis! :) I love you all so much, you're relatives to me, dearer than some real blood-family members...!

BTW:I want to believe that I have never actually quit the game :)

KathyBlue on 12/02/2010:
I have to recover as there will be the company's Mega Christmas Party on Saturday night and I want to look good, but really GOOD again!!!! :-) I ordered some SHORT pants, yayyyyyy.... but they say it'll arrive only tomorrow (1 day before the party, no time to wash it first, yuck!)... I bought some leggings anyway :P

KathyBlue on 12/02/2010:
posted a pic in my diary so you can see the pants! :)

KathyBlue on 12/02/2010:
this pair of pants cost only 24 euros (around 30 dollars?). I certainly hope they are like this and don't reach too low (because these models are normally taller than average) as I really want my leggings to show up well :D

KathyBlue on 12/02/2010:
What's your size now, girl?

liza36 on 12/02/2010:
I haven't put my eating out money in another fund yet, but knowing you are planning a vacation with yours just fuels me to do it. I would love a vacation! Enjoy your day!

KathyBlue on 12/02/2010:
don't say that, some women would kill to have that ass, lolololol! You have this structure by nature, and I think you're lucky to have it! :) I see women here, thin as a rake, don't ever need to worry about bra's (LOL, now this is something to consider as good or bad???! :D), and they desperately try to gain muscles everywhere to become more "curvy, womanly"

KathyBlue on 12/02/2010:
yeeeah, at work :P I'm working!!!! :) Let's see this from this angle: they hired me partly because I speak English... so, each time I write/read here, I'm practicing the language and it should be considered as self-development, and it can easily have positive effects on the company itself, so... :)

KathyBlue on 12/02/2010:
5/6? :) Going to look around..... :)

loveray on 12/02/2010:
hi gorgeous lady!! im happy to hear finances are good. it's always a stress, especially in this economy. love!

just42day on 12/02/2010:
Thanks for the suggestions. Really appreciate them. FYI: still no mail rec'd here from FL..... More later

moogy on 12/02/2010:
This is going to be tricky, with shopping and drinking not allowed. I hope you found something interesting/useful/pleasurable to do with your day V.

moogy on 12/02/2010:
I have thought about it and as much as I would LOVE the swimming pool, I don't want to have to have a swimming pool beacause it is so hot I have to cool down in it. I love you heaps but I am afraid that Sweetpea and I share the same love of Autumn and gently warmth. Sorry angel, hope someone nice moves in next door, but with that many bedrooms, it is probably going to be a big noisy family, or, or, a few footballs players!!!!!!

biscottibody59 on 12/02/2010:
Whoa! You are the Biggest Loser--haha! (Occasional guilty pleasure for me, I hate just about everything about that show--especially the product placements--uuuuurrrrpppppp!)

Good job on your progress--seriously!!!

Hope you're keeping warm!

just42day on 12/02/2010:
I adore the concept of The Outsiders sock puppet theatre. I think you should definitely get on that one. And sell tickets. Do you think tickets would be expensive? Would they cost an arm and a leg, or just a leg?

Umpqua on 12/02/2010:
LMAO at The Outsiders sock puppet show. Love me some SE Hinton! You need to find a tiny turned up collar for James Spader and the rest of the Socs :-)

I just read your comment on MK's diary - I missed the memo on you switching to a completely plant-based diet in January. Holy hell woman, that is going to be a huge change for you! Excited to see how you make the transition. I've cut out red meat a time or 2 but have never gone completely vegetarian, let alone vegan before. It sounds appealing, but I do like my meats and it would be a major sacrifice for me. You never fail to keep me intrigued V :) Have an awesome evening!!

just42day on 12/02/2010:
Ah, while the young grasshopper is growing, she still has much to learn....Just had a thought re: puppet show. For the gang fight scenes, you DON'T need a lot of socks --- just 2 that have the individual toes....

sweetpea1977 on 12/02/2010:
hahaha, an Outsiders sock puppet show. Now that I've got to see!! If you're bored and dont want to spend money, I'd recommend coming up with a sock puppet screen play for another movie. :-)

sweetpea1977 on 12/02/2010:
Oh and our neighbors took their house off the market not long after we bought our house. Darn, I guess I wont be hoarding after all!

moogy on 12/02/2010:
I would probably have to stand on a chair as he is a foot taller than me, but boy, would I whack him one!!!!

moogy on 12/02/2010:
I just read umpqua comment above, I missed that, are you really going Vegan?

sweetpea1977 on 12/02/2010:
Speaking of S.E. Hinton, he has a new book coming out: http://networkedblogs.com/bl0fe

Umpqua on 12/02/2010:
^^Neat sweetpea! I borked it on James Spader, I always want to insert him into that movie, he would have made a great Soc. Leif Garrett was the main one, guess I need to re-watch it!

It's the part about cooking fresh that makes me think it would be so tough to give up meat. It's such a drastically different way of living. If I was living alone I bet I would have attempted it already. I could still do it and serve meat to the rest of the family, but it would be a major challenge. Plus, I like meat, the bring on the bloody steak! I want to start to view it as a rare treat though, something to be savored once a month and then gradually, once or twice a year. Moderation to the extreme :)

moogy on 12/02/2010:
I was just having a bit of a giggle about what both of your families (Florida and Chicago) will have to say about you going Vegan, oh! I can just see the open mouths and unbeleiving comments. You will be the topic of conversation for weeks - centre of attention - you will love it!! They will think that you are going hippy!! Being a teenager in the early seventies, I can tell you it was great!! In fact that could save you a whole lot of explaining, they are never going to go with the healthy food aspect but they will probably go for the hippy angle!!!!! LOL

hopingforhealth on 12/02/2010:
I am laughing out loud at the mental picture of you sitting at a laundry basket, surrounded by socks, putting on a puppet show of the outsiders to yourself. Too funny!

I hope you enjoyed your day off and I will keep my fingers crossed that you don't get one tomorrow too :)

Umpqua on 12/02/2010:
^^Moogy, I'm going to guess that since V has been to her fair share of Grateful Dead concerts, both of her families already probably think she's a hippie. I don't think the Vegan explanation is going to be quite so easy!

hopingforhealth on 12/02/2010:
We all do silly things when we're doing things by ourselves. Personally, I like to sing along with Madonna, or equally silly stuff while I do dishes. I keep it classy. :)

moogy on 12/02/2010:
Well that is great, no problems with the up north lot then. What a healthy family!! That is wonderful. What do you have for Christmas dinner?

moogy on 12/02/2010:
So, my understanding of Vegan, is no animal products at all, including dairy, eggs etc. So only vegetables, legumes, nuts, beans, which are combined so that you get all of the amino acids needed. Is that what you are going to be doing?

just42day on 12/02/2010:
LOL Break a toe....

just42day on 12/02/2010:
I'm afraid you have some competition:

Maria7 on 12/02/2010:
50's...that's COLD!!! It's COLD here! :-)

Maria7 on 12/02/2010:
"...V--------"..... "Where are you????"....

KathyBlue on 12/03/2010:
Unfortunately I've never seen the difference between "NEED" and "WANT". :)

just42day on 12/03/2010:
Yes, my weight gain is very discouraging. Plus I know I've been "sampling" waaaay too much at work, too and that's just pure calories and sodium. I'm not throwing in the towel - trust me! I am committed to this. The extra 5lbs may just be the slap in the face I need to get back on track. Really appreciate your support. I'm mailing something to a friend in FL today. hmmmmmm, I wonder who that could be?

Enjoy those cooler temps and have a great day!!

Maria7 on 12/01/2010:
And here I was lookin' forward to my 'shopping workout' today...

liza36 on 12/01/2010:
I love the pictures from yesterday. You look amazing! You've come a long way, and are truly an inspiration!

Umpqua on 12/01/2010:
Yes you look SLIM :) I personally don't like to use the word skinny since to me it implies a negative. Like Skinny Puppy LOL (good band btw). But I feel like skinny describes someone who could use some meat on their bones, someone gaunt. And I don't think anyone here is going for that look, at least I hope not. You on the other hand, look SLIM and THIN. And you are humble about it too, you are the real deal V. Have a good one!

lifestylechange on 12/01/2010:
HAVE A GREAT DAY hot mama!!!! :)

selina on 12/01/2010:
I love your photos, you made my day! You look so beautiful and proud!

lifestylechange on 12/01/2010:

KathyBlue on 12/01/2010:

Maria7 on 12/01/2010:
I didn't get my shopping workout done today so I got on the treadmill instead for a while.

just42day on 12/01/2010:
I checked yesterday's mail. No card from you (or anyone else). nobody loves me, everybody hates me. I'm going to go eat worms....

hopingforhealth on 12/01/2010:
Hey V! Hope you had a great day at work!

moogy on 12/01/2010:
I am glad that you got your tip quota in, you must be some bartender. My daughter always says she would may a great bar tender, she has magnificent bazoombas (bosoms) and loves to flirt. Sorry about the walking but really, I was knackered after shopping, it def was a workout. Kisses.

moogy on 12/01/2010:
Too old V, I rather like Andy Garcia though, do you have his number? Jeff Bridges, Richard Gere, I have a whole list. Trouble is love is love and it doesn't go away when it's real, come what may. It is not so bad, knowing that he still loves me underneath all his stuff helps. I beleive we will be together forever, I wouldn't be happy in heaven without him. I am planning on you being there as well.

just42day on 12/01/2010:
Kickin crab chowder? Does that mean it fights off being put in your mouth?

just42day on 12/01/2010:
wooooo I'm afraid.......

moogy on 12/01/2010:
Mission accomplished, I just love that girl, she deserves all the praise she gets or more if she is not getting enough!!

moogy on 12/01/2010:
Oh, and I am pretty sure that I will get there first so I will be waiting with open arms!!

just42day on 12/01/2010:
LOL You got me but good w/that one, grasshopper.

sweetpea1977 on 12/01/2010:
Yes, it was very exciting. Im thinking of doing more tomorrow, before E wakes up. :) And yes, go ahead and do those exercises for me. You know, I have a feeling that you and I will be challenging each other to all sorts of things once this baby pops out. BRING IT (with love, of course!).

Anyway, I left J42d a note on the dangers of worm consumption as well as a short love letter. I hope she feels warm and fuzzy now!!

just42day on 12/01/2010:
Ok, ok you can stop with the love just4day campaign. The whole I'm going to eat worms bit was just my apparently unsuccessful attempt to be a wiseacre but now you have me feeling very guilty.

just42day on 12/01/2010:
I suspect you're particular lethal w/chain letters....

moogy on 12/01/2010:
OK, I have thought about it................NO, if I want to sweat every day and go gator hunting, I will move to Northern Queensland, exactly the same weather as Florida and the biggest saltwater crocodiles in the world. Not many people there though,it is mostly wilderness, does that mean we are smarter than Floridians??????? lol

just42day on 12/01/2010:
...and she's thrown out of the game by a technicality

Horn_Of_Plenty on 12/01/2010:
whoa! a whole gallon of agua! good for you and thanks for all your great advice. i will try not to let the current stuff going on to get me down.

very healthy eating and a nice, healthy breakast. and filling.
