Welll...had a very busy few days....computer still not back to perfect but ordered a fan system for it..and hoping to get a few more months from it...also have a very old one that I may be able to reuse...not sure...anyway....back to posting

Yes, if it’s overheating, at least put a fan below it. I did that once, also.

Eating today looks pretty good!...as long as you didn’t eat a whole pint of ice cream…maybe you did! If so, better attempts for tomorrow !

Instead of fries and cheese its, try for some heavy things during the day, but not all heavy things. I like that I read green beans on your entry – good job!!!

I like to mix light foods with heavy foods…like with the braunswager (if you mean a sausage!?) you prob mean a beer…but my example is to mix sausage with cabbage. Heavy and light, but filling.

Branswager was deli meat...no beer for me. Just a little ice cream, fries but no cheese..I did have cheezits crackers later.

I started Weight watchers again...they work for me...so since I lost 55 pounds with them in the past, I;m doing that again.

Computer seems to be working just fine now...I'm happy, I sure didn't want to replace it right now.  Planning on a busy day just doing lots of housework today.  I set up  my old FitDay disc this morning and even with all of the scratches...it still works...actually I LOVE it...it keeps track of carbs, nutrients as well as weight and exercise....that was the best $35 I have ever spent I think......so no more winging it for me...today I start counting....My plan is to keep my calories around 1500.

Breakfast = coffee and apple oatmeal

Lunch = oui French yogurt

Dinner will be sloppy joes, fried potatoes and garden salad

Had a low blood sugar episode so quickly ate some chocolate and it straightened itself out quickly

Cheezits in the evening because there would have been too many hours without eating

ended the day with a little over 1,800 cals

I feel your pain. Every time I start up my laptop, I'm praying that this won't be the time it decides to die, LOL.

I can't wait to hear how the FitDay works for you. The right tool can make all of the difference in the world. So glad the disc still works!

Hi BCGG! I love that you end in GG even though it means Great Grandma, it was supposed to be my hamster’s name if it were a female it was to be Gym Girlie and to be called the nickname GG….I love being able to call SOMEBODY a GG! Even if you are NOT a female hamster! Hahaha

Yep good thing you didn’t have to replace a computer as with all the antivirus and other software they can cost at least approx. 1K!

I agree a fitbit or any real, complete and HONEST tracking method is the best method. That’s why I track calories – otherwise, I’d totally keep eating to the point of no return everyday. I love to eat. But by counting calories, I only try to eat within limits so that I can stay pretty lean but enjoy eating as much as I can without getting heavy ! LOL.

I love your pairing of caffeine and carbs. My favorite way to have caffeine is like that – with sugar or carbs. I used to pair my granola bar or cookie before the gym with caffeine too…but now I stick to sf drinks without caffeine in the afternoon before gym bc it was affecting my sleep too much by drinking caffeine in the afternoons after work….ah well!

I’d love that dinner….nice to have a bit of sloppy joe and fried potato on the fork with a tomato or piece of lettuce! That’s a GOOOOOO DMIXXXX!

I tend to get low blood sugar too…I can tell and also eating some carbs always helps me too.

Excellent calories if they were 1800 you don’t gain weight! And depending on your weight, it might even mean weight loss.

Okay...so far so good....no flames yet...I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this thing is working again.

What I ate today.......

chicken with mushrooms, zucchini, celery, onions and olive oil

high protein bar

cheezits

ice cream

1/2 small bagel with margarine

coffee

Ran errands this morning...took a long nap...did a little reading....cleaned fresh veggies and pkged for fridge and freezer, laundry and running the dishwasher now....now for some TV time 

I'm thinking about starting to count calories tomorrow...I have an old fitday cd that amazingly still works and is super easy to use..so I will use that to keep track...but will still post here.

Well....My computer has been overheating lately and today it started shutting itself off after 5 minutes online...so I guess I had better find someone to repair it.....since at this point I'm afraid it may become a fire hazard...so will be gone until it's fixed.

My computer used to do the same thing. Try taking the cover off and blowing out the dust using the canned stuff for computers. Don't use a regular vacuum to suck it out because if you touch any of the components it may short them out. Unplug everything! I marked the plugs and where they go with a number system so I could easily get everything plugged back in where they came out. You should be able to easily see a couple of screws that hold the outer skin on the computer. It's usually a side panel. Remove the screws then slide the panel sideways. This should give you clear access to the inside. If you have a laptop, you may have to ask around how to do those. Good luck!

House cleaning day around here, trying the new French yogurt OUI...it comes in the cutest little glass jar. Then the rest of the day will be leftovers...they are piling up in the fridge.

Breakfast-coffee and OUI yogurt....IT IS DELICIOUS...light and delicate, today I'm having the vanilla...I love the glass it comes in.  At 170 calories it's higher than what I usually have but soooo worth it.

" whoever you are replying to....i hate missing whatever it was you wanted me to read :)

I've never tried this type of yogurt..is it a thick one like Greek? anything greek i try...or Icelandic Skyr....ever try this one? it's GREAT. lately i do not eat yogurt anymore....i like it though...but never seem to fit it into my day and i was buying and throwing away ....so now i try not to buy often haha....

i also buy a few clothes and tags never come off either, it's pretty funny. not too often anymore, but it used to happen more frequently when i shopped more and had extra money to do so. lol.

Yes, i'm sure it's not Greek...def doesn't sound Greek when you say light and delicate! haha.

Most of the time, you know how YOU say it was worth it? lately, for me most of the time, i find it's not worth it because the food doesn't last in my mouth long...and then the wonderful feeling is good as fast as i thought to eat it...i wonder now how much is worth it and how much is NOT! !?!? i had two chocolate covered strawberries last friday at work bc there was a little party....and they tasted good...for a second! and then the wonderful tastes were gone :-/ so i thought to myself....were both of them worth it!?

Going to hit the road and get some errands done today, looks like a beautiful day out.  Amazon pkg coming today but deliveries are always in the afternoon here so leaving here early'.

Breakfast = coffee

Lunch= ham sandwich and ice cream

Dinner will be a small portion of shepherds pie and a garden salad

Snacks - potato salad and ice cream

yeah, i do keep some skinny clothes but some just goes outta style or the quality falls apart lol, on mine....i tend to not wear them even though i save them...i'm weird. but most are now at my parent's house and not even at my apt.

Starting out this Monday with a bit of rain again...I have some heavy metal lawn furniture that's been needing a fresh coat of paint before it comes up on the back deck....at this rate the summer will be over by the time I get it painted...it's been waiting out by the barn for a long time now....I was looking forward to some outdoor meals....but none yet this summer.  Tomorrow is another day..keeping my fingers crossed.  Scales went down a tad again this morning....I'm dropping by the 10ths of pounds and for me that works best....so I'll take it.

Breakfast =  coffee, cereal and almond milk

It's very quiet here, just the breeze rustling through the trees and an occasional bird (sometimes the birds and I talk to each other..I  mean I whistle at them and they whistle back at me...I have no idea what we are saying though...LOL)...and I took a bath and washed my hair and started thinking about when I gained and when I lost...( gained 2 times and lost 1)...and it suddenly made sense...( I guess I knew all the time but never really internalized it like I did today.  I gained big while dealing with the difficult foster daughter and then after she returned home to her birth mom I lost the weight...then...I was fine until My parents both got sick and I worried about them for 3 years and then cared for one or both of them for 7 and a half years.  And now I am where I am...trying to lose it again...what made me actually visualize it all was because I have a bunch of scrubs that I wore to work that are still hanging in a closet and when I looked at them this morning I realized they went from size small to size x large...that happened in the 3 years my parents were beginning to get seriously ill......and it began the morning I arrived at work and as I entered the door to my office I was bombarded by coworkers telling me my parents were in the urgent care room just a few feet away.......and so it began....they were sicker than any of us knew and things only got worse from there...and apparently while worrying about them, I ate to cope.  I feel like a light bulb just went on and I really finally get it.  Now to fix it!

The other thing is what actually started all this today...and that is...DID YOU KEEP YOUR SKINNY CLOTHES?????  I did....I have sizes small all the way up to size 3x (currently wearing 2x and 3x tops and large pants)....so I have a lot of stuff to wear as I lose this weight and I do not plan to add to it until I reach a weight where I want to stay...then everything that doesn't fit and anything I don't like will go get donated.  I think I will dig out a couple of things that I really like to spur me on.

Mid morning snack=Bai antioxidant infusion mango drink and cheezits

Lunch= small amt baked chicken and potato salad( I load it with celery, peppers, cucumber and onion too)

Evening=apple and pop tarts

A friend down the road just dropped off fresh green beans, green onions and red potatoes from his garden...they still have the dirt on them...can't get any fresher than that...reminds me of when my youngest son was selling his beets at the farmers market...people asked why they were wet and he said he had just picked them and squirted them off so they would be cleaner for people to see...and the people started throwing money in the cab of his truck and grabbing beets faster than he could keep up with...he had sold a truck bed full of beets in 30 minutes.

Basically I kept everything, so there will be a lot of stuff I won't wear again even if it does fit...I love to donate stuff...I keep a donation bag in y car all the time and add things as I find them.

I'm using the unsweetened almond milk but I love all of them too...the cashew milk was good for a minute but then got an aftertaste.....so don't get that anymore...the combo almond and cocnut is good though.

I love it that it's partial where you live and that you are a great grandma! oh, how my own father would love to be a grandfather already! Lol - it's all up to my sister as i'm not the married or dating one! not yet anyways!!

I am sorry so your adopted daughter was a drug baby? so sorry. Yes, you must have learned thru her as you say you learned patience. Kids are not simple...not like a hamster like i have LOL...i'm joking you know...but it's true that raising children is definitely a big project. And especially one that needs extra, like the daughter who is 34 that you speak of. That's how old I am, btw. I'm 34 also.

It rained a bit here, too. But it was worth it as it cooled down a TON after the rain. Tomorrow it will be a cool summer day in the mid 70's...how nice for a change!

In general, I do love the summer. It's SO MUCH EASIER than getting around in full up coats and all those layers in the winter!

fig bars must have been nice...you can always do a low calorie iced tea with them...

what i like to do is this: pair somethign real sugar with something sugar free or very low sugar so I still get in the sugar, but less of it...

you remind me of what i need to buy - almond milk! I finally used up my quart of it that i had for at least one whole month if not more like 2 months! It takes so long for me to drink it bc i only use it in cereal which i only eat on weekends! and not everyday of the weekends either! haha.

Drain got unplugged....hubby called me in to pull all of my long hair out of it...LOL...right now more salads...will use more canned and frozen veggies in the cooler months...I am a carrb lover...no denying that...I could actually live on snack food...well...guess that is what got me here...LOL. Tea and the whole wheat fig bars worked well together tonight.
