For my activity:
Wed: Part 1 Circ Aer Wkt using Airdyne (13 min/2.8 mi)
Thurs: Part 2 Circ Aer Wkt using Airdyne (32 min/7.5 mi)

Days 94 & 95 were so-so. At least the exercise was pretty good!

Just very wiped out, but must keep on plugging along! Didn't plan to break up the circuit workout, but it's a good way to do it when pressed for time.

Have a lovely day!

I noticed that your fat grams are over the 90 mark on most days but your calories look pretty good. I think that for a 2000 calorie diet, you're only supposed to have 56 grams of fat. I am not trying to be judgmental - just wanted to point out that I think you would do really stellar if you drop your fat grams a bit.

Your water intake is seriously putting me to shame so I need to step up on that! And I agree with you that splitting up your workout is a good idea because they say that it's just as effective in two sessions as in one. But what's an Airdyne?

For my activity: Not much

Day 93 was not good.

I blew off all exercise. The lesson I have to get into my head is to do it earlier or there's no hope.

Plan for today: Circuit workout and walk

Have a lovely day!

How are you able to survive on only 28oz. of water? Ever since I passed out the day of my grand-daughter's christening and ended up in the hospital for a couple of days while all sorts of tests were run I've been REAL careful about water intake.

That day I had had something like 3 beers and no water. I learned my lesson real fast!

I agree. THe earlier the better with exercise. Get it done and out of the way!

Stupidity is an elemental force for which no earthquake is a match. --Karl Kraus

For my activity: Walk 10 min; NordicTrack 21 min/2.2 mi

Day 92 was good. I got in both planned activities. Woo-hoo!

I'm down a half-pound for today's weigh-in.

I ate a couple of cookie bars that I had been wanting to make for a long time. So I made them. I held off for as long as I could! Now I'll have to freeze what's left or I'll gorge myself on them:-)

Plan for today: NTrk and walk; maybe a jog

***Update***
Just noticed this is my lowest in 92 days. I'm down 8.5 pounds in that time. It's very different (I think) because I'm doing the weight workouts much more regularly. Seems the body is a little more forgiving this time around. I don't know what else to give it to! At any rate I'll take it and look forward to the 150s for the first time in just about forever!

Have a lovely day!

Wow! That's awesome! So you lost 8.5 lb in 92 days? That's pretty good, especially over such a long period of time. If only I could do that...

For my activity: Talking on the phone abt 5 hrs

Day 90 was okay.

Since I did just about nothing else I counted the phone call that derailed my other plans. It's amazing the things that Fitday lists in calories burned. Of course if I had done my regular planned stuff I wouldn't have counted it, but I had nothing else. Kind of a cop-out I suppose.

Day 89 was good. Not below 1800 though.

I'm down on my weigh-in. I wasn't going to weigh-in on Saturdays for the foreseeable future, but I'm ready to be below 160. This is getting old. Really old. I'm just going to do what I have to do to get there and stay there.

Hi BB,

Following my original diet that got me down in weight is what I've been doing recently, EXCEPT for the MNAY lapses. The lapses are what's new in the equation. You know I simply don't eat processed food, especially hot dogs, but in my mind where the pleasure center resides is the memory of those footlong kosher hot dogs from high school which was awakened when I saw Hebrew National on sale. There I was with the package in hand. I think these were the first hot dogs I've eaten in a few years. At only 50 cal. each I couldn't resist. There are only two left. I don't plan to restock before the sale ends either!

As for not eating in the morning, this goes back to elementary school when my mother never got up in the morning so I never knew what it was like to start off the day with food. I normally don't eat before noon. I just don't think about food in the morning and am rarely hungry. To me it's simply a matter of rearranging one's schedule. I sure make up for it in the evening!

To live is so startling it leaves little time for anything else. --Emily Dickinson

For my activity: NordicTrack (40 min/4.6 mi)

Day 88 was good. Didn't take a walk or go on a jog.

I've only had 7 days out of the last 28 with calories below 2000--according to Fitday. So having 2 days in a row of below 1800 makes me think I can get/stay in a better groove. It isn't that hard! Yeah right!

Plan for today: NTrk, walk, maybe a jog

Hey, here's another study about sleep (lack of) and weight gain, this time in women specifically. The interesting thing about this one is "it had been suggested previously that people who sleep less compensate by eating more, but analysis of the data found that they ate less. The scientists also discounted physical activity as a reason to explain why women who slept less weighed more." Here's the whole story: More Sleep May Help Women Fight Obesity.

Have a lovely day!

Fri: Weeding/Trimming 30 min
Sat: Driving 2 hrs
Sun: Shopping with cart 2 hrs; Mowing/Weedeating/Clean-up abt 5 hours
Mon: Weeding/Trimming 30 min
Tues: Nothing

Days 81-86 were a mixed bag. Didn't do my regular Tuesday weigh-in.

Friday was hot and I spent the day wishing I lived in a colder climate--just like I do every year--and then hearing myself tell someone I'd never live anywhere else. It happens every year, I spend a day or two getting used to the heat and then I'm good to go!

So that derailed me a little on Friday. I did some yard work (it felt productive). I finally found some shorts in sz 12 that I like but I can use them for knockaround ones--I always seem to be searching for something that's comfy, presentable and unratty--so I bought 2 pair. Then I actually found a "nice" pair of shorts that I could stand and they fit--woo-hoo! They're 12s too, but they're not the same fabric, so they're not going to stretch out a size like the others.

I'm very close to where I want to be. I keep finding monkey wrenches to throw into my plan and drag me back to some starting line. I also realized that since I recommitted myself back in February that I haven't slid back all that much. So it could be worse. (And it could definitely be better!)

Have a lovely day!

You phrased the problem so well with "monkey wrenches". That is exactly what I was thinking this morning.

The only good part for me after recommitting in January is that at least I haven't done more damage. However, containing the damage is not enough and not what I had in mind.
