Slimfast for breakfast, water, and vitamins.

Lunch was a cup of soup and a hotdog.

Dinner was a large steak, salad, and baked potato.

Have kind of fallen off the wagon for the past week.  Not completely off the wagon, but barely clinging to the back of it while being dragged.

This past week has been full of cravings and giving in to those cravings.  One day it was salt & vinegar chips.  Two or three days it was sour candy and chocolate.  A couple other days it was just eating whatever and whenever.  The only thing I did keep from giving in to was pop.

I'm planning on today being better, but we'll see.  Whenever I'm screwing up I avoid posting here.  I need to start posting daily even when I'm screwing up.  I know that if I posted my screwups daily, I'd be less inclined to let them stretch out for so long.

Started off today with Slimfast, water, and vitamins.  Hopefully can keep from going out for lunch and just eat a frozen dinner instead.

** Update **
Lunch - Campbells soup-at-hand

Dinner - had family over and ate quite a bit - 2 loaded chili cheese dogs, Doritos Cool Ranch chips, and a bunch of edamame

It was a better day than most over the past week.

Progress as of today: 13.2 lbs lost so far, only 77 lbs to go!

I understand very well, I've dropped myself from the board before when I was gobbling everything in sight. Like you I am trying to post even if I am in that state. It does help! Those moods will hit, so best to take it in stride and learn to deal with it. Best of luck!

I have had days when I have been choking on the dust at the back barely hanging on. If you commit to posting daily whatever is going on you will find that you have more success. No one judges how well you are doing. The object is that we do the best we can, we all fall down, then we get back up again and press forward.

** Yesterday **
I wasn't feeling well, started with a Slimfast for breakfast.  Didn't end up eating much of anything for the rest of the day.  I drank plenty of water and had some soup / broth later in the evening.

** Today **
Still not feeling the best and kind of being careful what I eat today.  Skipped breakfast, went to church, drank a soup-to-go for lunch.  Will try to keep up with the water intake and will probably have some type of soup for dinner unless I feel like something more substantial.

Progress as of today: 15.2 lbs lost so far, only 75 lbs to go!

Lunch - frozen dinner
Dinner - went to Pizza Hut, had some pizza, salad, wings
Had a slice of cheese later at night.
Only water for liquid intake all day.

** Today **
Started with a Slimfast, vitamins, and water.

Had a slice of cheese and frozen dinner for lunch.

Don't know what I'll have for dinner.  My wife and girls have a sleepover at church tonight, so I'm on my own for dinner.

Got our reservations for the Alaskan cruise in September, so have 7 months to go, around 210 days.

Progress as of today: 11.8 lbs lost so far, only 78.4 lbs to go!

I'm jealous of the cruise - I've always wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise! Can't seem to get my husband into it, though. You're doing well - you've let go of the pop, which can have huge benefits, and roughly 4 pounds in less than two weeks! Good job!

** Yesterday **
Lunch was a couple tacos (1 fish, 1 pork) and some nachos.
Dinner, the girls and I went out to Burger King so that they could play afterwards.  I had a whopper with cheese, fries, and some water.

** Today **
Starting off with water, vitamins, and a Slimfast.

My weight and recent start to losing weight is a bit depressing to me.  I know it's phsycological, but it's still depressing.  Even though I know factually that I weighed 265 when I started last month, in my mind I thought I've been hovering around 250 for the past few years.  So at first glance when I looked down at the scales and saw 253 this morning, my mind went directly to thinking that no progress is being made and I'm depriving myself of all the Mtn Dew, candy, chips, etc for no reason.  Of course sitting here and being rational, I understand that 12 lbs down is a good start and I just need to keep working on getting better and the weight will continue to come off over time.

Physcologically, getting into the 240's will at least cause me to feel like I'm making progress (beside factually knowing it).

There are 4 months until school's out for the kids and I'd like to be able to go swimming with my girls without feeling overly self-conscious about my weight.  There's also 7 months until our Alaskan cruise.  Although I doubt I'll be doing a lot of swimming on the cruise ship as September in Alaska won't be the warmest.

Progress as of today: 12.2 lbs lost so far, only 78 lbs to go!

It helps if you think that the weight you put on didn't happen overnight. It took time for your body to process all that food and make it a permanent part of your body.

Now, the process is reversed. It will slowly come off if you do your part. It's never fast enough!

Dinner we were invited over to some friends.  We ate rost beef, potatoes, carrots, salad, bread, and banana pudding for dessert.  
Drank only water.

Well, the Super Bowl was an eating frenzy.  I unfortunately gave in and ate quite a bit of candy, besides all of the other food.  One bright spot is that I didn't give in on the liquids, no pop, only water.

New day.  Starting off with water, vitamins, and a Slimfast.

Made a roast beef and cheese sandwich with a little mustard for lunch.

Dinner we went out for chinese food and I ate quite a bit.

Progress as of today: 9.8 lbs lost so far, only 80.4 lbs to go!

Dinner was scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, piece of a pancake, and slice of toast.

** Today **

Starting off with Slimfast, vitamins, and water.

Today is my oldest daughters birthday party and we're having it at the local roller skating rink.

Letting myself get to 265 before starting a diet was a big mistake.  It's depressing how long it'll take to get back to a more manageable size.  The last time I was below 200 was about 7 or 8 years ago when  I got down to low 190's which was a decent feeling weight for me.  

I've been wearing waist size 44 jeans (mens size) and a couple pair are getting holes and needing to be replaced.  I've got some size 42 that my wife stored away for me somewhere from when I was a little lighter.  My plan is to make due for another week or two with my 44's and then hopefully I'll be able to fit into my 42's (if I can find them).

Tomorrow we're having some friends over for a Super Bowl party.  I'll be eating more food than usual, but will try to not eat any candy or drink any pop.  I know that one large meal itself wouldn't hurt in the grand scheme of things, as long as it is a one time thing and I don't stretch it out into a few day binge-fest.  In prior attempts starting in January, the Super Bowl has derailed me.  My general pattern has been to feel like I already screwed up and then continue it for another week or so.  This year had better be different.  I know I'll overeat at the party, but will limit it to only while the game is on.  No screwing up before or after the game.

** Update **

Lunch - had a french-dip sandwich and a couple fried mozzarella sticks

Dinner - pulled pork nachos and 3 pieces of pizza (double pepperoni & pineapple)

Progress as of today: 11 lbs lost so far, only 79.2 lbs to go!

Be sure to keep a conversation going w/your inner self durng the Super Bowl. You CAN control what and how much you eat. Keep reminding yourself that you're not denying yourself anything but that there is a limit just like when you drive. Having a platter of lo cal healthy crunchies will help. Keeping your mouth and hands busy w/ raw carrots, celery, broccoli and so on will do wonders. Hey! The good stuff might even have a filling effect.

Good luck tomorrow! Choose your food wisely and just try and not get seconds! ... (That's my plan anyway and also to fill up on fruit!) .. I'm going to make a fruit tray so I don't have to eat other unhealthy snacks!
