Didn't weigh myself today. No pop, no snacks, nothing after 7pm. Cereal for breakfast, lots of Chinese food for lunch, and a Healthy Choice frozen entree for dinner. Only got around 50 ounces of water intake today.

Thanks...I like that idea no eating after a certain time...thats usually when I eat the wrong foods...I'll try that no eating after 7:30p...its a new habit thats for sure...I know what you mean about eating just to keep awake...sometimes the road can be mesmerizing...I found ice chips and apples cut up helped me...the apple takes a while to chew and takes a little bit longer to digest...in my own mind it kept me fuller longer...and the ice chips helped me to stay awake and it also lessened the pit stops...lol

Didn't weigh myself today. No pop, no snacks, nothing after 7pm, and 100+ ounces of water.

I was gone on vacation last week and did alright for a few days and then cheated for a few days. Then I had 1 day I had to drive 20+ hours in the car all by myself and I gorged myself with every type of food and pop imagineable, just to try to stay awake.

I'm now back and on my diet again.

Didn't weigh myself, no pop, no snacks, nothing after 7pm. Cereal for breakfast. Cheeseburger, fries, soup, salad, baked potato for lunch. Dinner was double helping of Hamburger Helper with some added chopped up bacon pieces. 100+ ounces of water today.

Didn't weigh myself, no pop, no snacks, nothing after 7:30pm. Cereal for breakfast. Lunch was cheeseburger, cheese fries, and a piece of pizza. Pizza Hut for dinner, which was late. I went skiing all day, so I got plenty of exercise in.

I was just wondering something. If you want to lose weight and be healthy why are you eating Pizza Hut, Cheeseburgers, cheese fries, etc...? Eating like you do, before you know it, you'll put on another 50-100 pounds. I'm not trying to be mean but I am trying to help you... Just cutting out pop isn't going to help you the way you consume food.

I lost 55 lbs in the first 3 or 4 months of 2003, and started by just cutting out the pop, snacks, and eating after 7pm. My pop, candy, snack intake is awfully high when I'm not dieting. Just for example, I average about 72 ounces of pop per day and at least 1 chocolate bar. I do that every day in addition to eating all of the junk I do at meals. Just by cutting out the pop and snacks for me means 1,000 less calories EVERY DAY! That's 7,000 calories less that I intake every week. Just doing that allowed me to lose over 50 pounds last year. (Of course I gained most of it back when I returned to my 6+ cans of pop per day.)

I've tried changing all of my eating habits at once, eating healthy, cutting out the pop, exercising, etc. It seems like my body goes into starvation mode and I don't tend to lose much weight at all.

I realize that just cutting out pop and snacks won't work well for most people, but I'm overly excessive in my pop / snack intake, so it does work for me.

I didn't weigh myself today. I'm going to try to limit my weigh-ins to the 1st and 15th of every month. Hopefully this will help to control any of the normal mood swings that accompany the day to day ups and downs.

No pop, no snacks, nothing after 7pm. Just over 100 ounces of water intake today. Cereal for breakfast. Quiznos for lunch - small sandwich, cup of clam chowder, and bag of chips. Dinner was a double helping of sloppy joes with shredded cheddar on top.

Dropping the pop again has been pretty easy so far, probably because of the larger than average intake of water.

Didn't weigh myself today. No pop, no snacks, nothing after 7pm. Cereal for breakfast. A double helping of some Hamburger Helping thing. Supper was chinese food - lots of it. I actually hit 100 ounces of water today.

I really wish I wouldn't have screwed up the last few months. I began 2003 at 250 lbs. I was down to 200 lbs around May. Then I went back up to about 215 lbs through July / August. Then I dropped back down to below 200 once. After which I started stuffing my face with so much candy, pop, junk food, etc that I actually gained back 40 lbs in a matter of a few months. So to recap, I started 2003 at 250 and ended at 240, with 2 dips below 200 along the way. That has to be the definition of yo-yo dieting.

This time around I'm not stopping until I get into the low 190's or high 180's. At which time I may try to just maintain instead of lose weight, at least for awhile. This time around, once I get below 200, I don't plan on my weight going over 200 ever again. Although, that's what I thought the last time and the time before that.

I didn't weigh myself today. No pop, no snacks, nothing after 7pm. Cereal for breakfast. Soup and salad bar for lunch - plenty of fatty stuff. Supper was fried shrimp, ravioli, spaghetti, side salad with blue cheese dressing, breadsticks, baked potato, and ice tea. Approximately 85 ounces of water today. I just can't seem to get my goal of 100 ounces / day completed.

I didn't weigh myself today. No pop, nothing after 7pm. I did have half a donut this morning after breakfast. I didn't even think about it until I was halfway through it. No real headaches today.

Cereal for breakfast. Golden Corral for lunch - salad with a lot of fatty stuff, corned beef hash, macaroni & cheese, bacon, sausage, and some dessert. Supper was a chicken & corn soup and french fries. Working on finishing 80 ounces of water right now. I'll have 1 more bottle of water afterwards for a total of 100 ounces.

I almost screwed up in a major way today. I was invited to a football party for this evening. I knew if I was going I'd be eating anything and everything. I decided that if I was going to do that, I might as well go ahead and make the whole day a cheat day and go get some Mtn Dew as well. Fortunately for my diet plans, I was too lazy to go out tonight, so I was saved by my laziness. It was also helped by the fact that it's currently -15 degrees outside right now, and I just didn't feel like going outside at all.

I didn't weigh myself today. No pop, no snacks, nothing after 7pm. About 85-90 ounces of water today. Cereal for breakfast. A big "orchard salad" with lots of fatty dressing. Dinner was left overs from last night, sausage, sauerkraut, and potatoes. Milder headache today, probably from lack of caffeine.
