Today - No pop, no snacks, nothing after 7pm. "Health" bar for breakfast. Buffet for late lunch. Nothing for dinner. 2nd day in a row with not enough water.

Well, I guess it's official, I've now lost over 20 lbs. That's a good start, with another 30 to go just to get to my 1st goal. Once hitting 200 lbs, it's only another 20 or so to go. Weighing 200 again will be unbelievable!

20 lbs sounds like quite a bit, but I'm not feeling or noticing much difference. My jeans are fitting a little more comfortable and I've started fastening my belt 1 hole smaller, but other than that I haven't noticed much difference without stepping on the scales.

Now for my dream time......I'm expecting that when I get down to 200 again, I should be able to notice quite a difference, at least I hope so. A total of 50 lbs lost or 20% of my pre-diet weight should be quite noticeable.

My wife's flying down with the baby to spend a month with her parents in April. I'm flying down for a few days at the end of April. That's just over 2 months away. I'd love to hit 200 by then, but know that it's not likely to happen. I'll be satisfied with hitting 215, but would love to hit 210. I guess we'll see as the time draws closer.

No pop, no snacks, ate dinner at around 7:30pm. Was up all night with the baby, slept from 6am-noon, so didn't eat breakfast. Lunch was a couple of homemade hamburgers. Dinner was a Valentine's Day date. I ate a lot.....filet mignon, large salad, bread, potato.....I was totally stuffed. Didn't do the best on getting enough water, probably 50-60 oz today.

Sleep was sporadic on account of our new baby girl and I didn't want to eat breakfast and then try to catch a few hours of sleep, so I ended up missing breakfast. Lunch was a little late and we went to Golden Corral buffet, I ate quite a bit. Lunch was late, we had plans for 7pm, and I wasn't hungry, so I just grabbed a "health bar" so that I actually ate something. Did better on the water today.....I try for 100 oz each day, and have been slacking over the past week since Daphne was born. Today I got 75 oz in and a couple glasses of ice tea with lunch.

Decided to try to start exercising some. I bought some DDR - Dance Dance Revolution video games and shelled out for a couple of high quality metal dance pads back a few months ago on a whim. I played the game, which involves stepping on certain directional arrows at the correct times, for a few weeks just for fun. Then it sat there collecting dust. Now I dug it back out and there is a new PS2 DDR game out, so I bought it and used it tonight. It's actually pretty decent. It has a workout mode, where it keeps track of your calories burnt along with other statistics. Also when you go in it keeps track of the date, how much work done or calories burned on that day, your weight on that day, etc. It's kind of cool. It automatically keeps track of those things and graphs it for you. I figure I'll try to do 30-45 minutes worth of work a few days each week. I did around 45 minutes today, which really wasn't that difficult. I don't think that my heart rate is getting up high enough for a sustained period of time to do much good. But the way I look at it, it can't be any worse for me than just sitting on my butt typing on this computer.

No snacks, no pop, no sweets, nothing after 7pm. Had a "health bar" for breakfast.....I'm getting kind of tired of Slimfast every morning. Was busy and didn't get to have lunch until 3pm, ate lots of Chinese food with Chinese tea. Ate lunch late and ran around afterwards. I wasn't hungry for dinner, so I just skipped it today. Baby continuing to not sleep at night, last night I was up with the baby from 3am-6am, she slept 1 hour, and my wife took over then. I didn't get enough water which again is probably the reason for the weight difference again today. The weight will probably just jump back up to about 233 or so if I drink a decent amount of water tomorrow. Although it is heartening to see the weight moving down again. My digital scale was actually fluctuating between 229.8 and 230.0, which is the first time I've probably seen the 220's in at least 2 or more years. I hate to fantasize, but if the weight doesn't jump back up when I start drinking a good amount of water, it'll be 20 pounds lost, which would be a good start.

Wow, way to go. A new baby and still losing weight. I myself have no children and that 3am-6am thing makes me realize how silly <b>I</b> am to complain about being too tired to excercise. The next time I want to use that excuse I will just use you as my inspiration. Keep up the great work!

No pop, no sweets, no snacks, nothing after 7pm. Drank a Slimfast for breakfast. Lunch was lasagna and bread with butter. Supper was over at my parents house: roast beef, mashed potatoes, bread/butter, carrots, mixed vegetables. Didn't get near enough water in today, which is most likely the reason for the weight difference between today and yesterday. Night 2 at home with our new baby.....no one got much sleep last night. The baby was awake quite a bit today, so maybe she'll sleep longer tonight?
