Don't know why - but can't post like usual. Just can comment here. Anyway - just stopping by to say I'm not back yet - but I will be. I resigned my job Monday. My last day won't be until 8/31, but it's a start. I am getting out of the very toxic environment and ready to stop beating my head against the I do not have a new job yet. I plan to take some time off and take care of myself physically, emotionally and spiritually. I'll be back!

Sorry been gone so long - 5 days!  Not because I haven't been doing OK - just busy!

I had an OK week last week and OK weekend - I had a big snafoo on Sunday - Husband I and stopped at Diary Queen for a treat.  His idea - but I was going to indulge in a Mini Blizzard - had saved up calories for it - etc.  Husband paid so I didn't pay attention to the total.....got to the window and guy handed me a Medium instead of Mini size!  Oh well, I ate it - it was just too much to resist.  Neither husband or I had any other dinner, though!  Today is another day.

Last week for boss to be at work.  I don't know what is gpoing to happen - both my co-workers are interviewing for other jobs within the company.  Only one told me about it, though - boss told me about the other.  I am resolved to be at peace no matter what happens here.  More about food and exercise later.....

Blizzard I have one every month it is one of my treats that I allow myself and I work it into my routine... Summer time only not too appealing for any other season.

Seems like ice cream is the thing - I have been hooked on black cherry with choc syrup. I only have about half a cup and it really curbs the cravings - once it is gone though, I'm not buying any more.

Didn't finish my post Tuesday - but it was an OK day. Finished the day with a 2.75 mi walk with dogs and husband.

Wednesday wasn't quite as good a day on food and exercise..  I finished about 300 over calorie goal and no exercise.  I was pretty tired and thought it best to rest.  I will get back to exercise on Friday.  I am going to help friend clean her house Thursday night - unfortunately her husband is very ill and she could use the help right now. Made some meatloaf and carrots, mashed potatoes tonight for her (and for us, too plus an extra one to freeze).

I am in a holding pattern at work.  My boss will only be there another week after this one.  I don't know what will happen after that.  I may resign at any moment or the company may decide to contact out our department's work.

That's a really nice walk! I don't remember the last time I walked like that! It's been YEARS.

That's so nice of your to help your friend during the tough time for her. :)

Try to take things at work with a grain of salt.

Today so far:

Banana, Tea, 15 almonds

I don't know what to have for lunch - what a problem to have......

Tonight Hope to get another short bike ride in - I am not n too much paid today. If not a ride a walk.....exercise is key for me - must keep moving when I can!   

Lunch - 8 crackers and peanut butter, and olive but spread 3 bites of left over cottage cheese

I like your breakfast. I like it because it's easy to digest and simple...is that what you eat at work? my type of breakfast but I still need an awful lot of caffeine in the mornings which i'm ok doing these days! haha

Today so far:

Tea, Banana, almonds - the usual 150 cals.  More later.....

Lunch at new Mediterranean place - wonderful!  went lighter  so I didn't over do it.  Had a gyro with only chicken and greek salad stuffed - no taziki sauce, etc.  very healthy - didnt eat the pita - this showed a lot of restraint because it was HOMEMADE and very delicious.  I just kept telling myself I wanted mostly the PROTEIN - not the carbs.  I had a very small serving of fresh fruit on the side.  I am going to estimate 350-400.

I want to ride my bike so much tonight!

Afternoon - 1 kind bar, 3 crackers and olive nut spread, 6 pita crackers (shoot - kind of made up for not having the fresh made pita bread at the greek restaurant, didn't I)!

I RODE MY BIKE 30 minutes- I am not sure the distance because my odometer is dead - battery died - will get a new one. But I'd say around 7 miles.  AND....wait for it - I got my bike bibs ON!  Without too much trouble and they are the smaller ones!  Ta-Da!  The Princess of Power is not back, but she's on her way!  I could have done more, but that is when I get into trouble - pushing too hard - do not want to have an accident because of fatigue!

Dinner will be roast beef and carrots and potato (1) and maybe some beets!

Planning short walk with husband and dogs but may beg off.

sometimes with carbs like a homemade pita / bagel, I always say to myself "it's so cheap to make only water and flour, I'm not missing much!"

Today - Cereal with 1/2 banana for breakfast.

Making shoulder roast and carrots for dinner in crock pot, beets and left over collard greens.  

Granddaughter coming at 1:00 today.  Must clean up house before that - I hope to squeeze in a bike ride this morning.   I have pain in my back and right calf.  Go figure.

Pain got better as the day went on.  FYI - I take arthritis strength Tylenol every day - so when the pain is breaking thorough that - it's real pain.  I got on the inversion table and stretched really well. 

My food today was over my allowance.  I had one left over hamburger , a few crackers and olive nut spread, two strawberry shortcakes -yes 2!  A few bites of roast beef and carrots and 1/2 a small new -potato. 

I didn't get my bike ride in - but I put air in both my bikes and washed them both off, so hopefully I'll get a ride in after work tomorrow because either on of them will be ready to roll.

Big walk last night and OK food day.  Going for a hike at Nature Sanctuary this morning.

1/2 Grapefruit and 1 piece of toast with jam for breakfast.

Lunch was 1 C Chili and 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich (again)

Cleaned the deck and patio and restacked all the rocks around my backyard flower beds.  Cleaned the deck and patio windows.

We hiked 4.5 miles!  The wildflowers (which this park is famous for) were at their peak.  It's (in my opinion) the pettiest place in KY.  Really unbelievable.  I took a few pics and if they do the place justice I'll try to post on FB.

Then we went to the grocery and came home - had a friend over for dinner - we grilled hamburgers-small ones, corn on the cob  (no butter) and potato crowns.  I made strawberry shortcake for dessert - angel food cake, vanilla ice cream and strawberries and real whipped cream. Oh so good.  I would feel guilty - but  walked about 7.5 miles in the last two days!!

Tomorrow I will need to clean house and we will have granddaughter from 1:00-6:00 which probably means 12:00 to 8:00 because they usually bring her early and pick her up late - but we don't usually mind!)  She is so precious!

Probably will go out to eat tonight - so trying to keep cals low until then.  so far today:

6 crackers with just a tiny bit of peanut butter (ran out) 165

about 6 almonds 45 ??

1/2 C cottage cheese, 1/4 C maple yogurt and 1 natural peach half 195

More later - that leaves about 800 for tonight!

UPDATE for dinner:

Walked almost 3 miles with husband and dogs.  

I will post what foods I had - but the quantities were VERY VERY small.  Husband wanted BBQ (again).  So I ordered pulled pork, slaw and mac & cheese - the Mac and Cheese was mostly for husband because I don't really like it.  I only ate 1/3 of the pulled pork, 1/2 of the slaw and 2 bites of the mac & cheese.  A couple of bites of corn muffin no butter I basically have a whole meal left over.  Except for the mac and cheese - which husband ate.  Husband also ordered banana pudding and I had 3 bites of that .  I feel I did very well considering how unhealthy everything at the BBQ joint is.  I believe I stayed within my 800 cal dinner allowance!  Plus the big walk.  Pat me on the back!

1/2 C 2% Cottage, 1/4 C Maple Yogurt, 3 natural peach halves

I will have 4 crackers and 1 T peanut butter before I leave work   - about 160 cals

Sub total = 520

Husband comes home tonight - will probably go out to eat - so plenty of room for dinner 680 calories to Go for the DAY!

Didn't go out to eat - had a few bites of corn, a tiny piece of grilled chicken and some cereal with yogurt.    Probably right at my calorie goal for the day....

Also - walked 2.5 miles!

6' Penn Station sub - nothing else - this has 650 calories!

1/2 C cottage cheese 2 peach halves 100

1/2 grilled cheese 200

Still have 100 calories to go for today

I am going to start to EASE into counting calories again - MUST increase my activity level - just so tired at night!

UPDATE:  6 crackers and 1T peanut butter  1/2 c 2% milk- a bit over my 100 calories left for the day = but still in a good range
