Well, it's me again.  I'm afraid I am so sporadic on here that no one will visit my diary!  I am holding my own on weight.  Kind of depressing because my back is still bothering me.  It's never lasted this long.  It's tolerable, but still irritated feeling and I can't walk alot or ride my bike at all.  That makes me sad beyond belief.  Also makes me feel OLD, which I don't like!!  I have found some really healthy recipes that I actually LIKE.....they are on hungrygirl.com.  The ones I tried are:  Carrot Muffins and Mac & Cheese.  I usually only make "healthy" recipes ONCE because they usually taste bad (I am a good cook and I don't tolerate bad food well  :o)) BUT these are both keepers.  Thought I'd share them with my DD Pals.  Let me know if you try them - what you think!  Have a blessed day!  Holly

Quote of the Day

"A bad habit never disappears miraculously; it's an undo-it-yourself project."
– Abigail Van Buren

About Abigail Van Buren

Pauline Phillips, better known as Abigail Van Buren, wrote the syndicated "Dear Abby" column for 46 years. She was born in 1918 in Iowa. She had never written professionally when she contacted the San Francisco Chronicle's editor and said she could do better than their current advice maven. Her version was an instant success. Her twin sister, Esther Lederer, became an advice columnist under the name Ann Landers. Phillips retired in 2002; her daughter, Jeanne Phillips, took over her column.

Well......back is a little better today.  Mostly certralized pain in very lower back and right hip.  Motrin 800 mg is making a big difference.  So maybe can ride bike NEXT weekend.

Eating OK - not spectacular, but maintaining.  Will get very serious very soon.  I can feel it building up in me.

Supposed to have wonderful weather here this weekend.  Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

Yesterday was OK.  Back not as bad, but hurts pretty "good" again this morning.  I am scheduled for another massage Friday at 5:00.  Eating was OK.  I have at least been very reasonable if not stellar.

I hope your back gets well soon so you can go back biking... congrats to your daughter, the dancer! My daughter and her friends took 4th on their trio performance at the Suiss Nationals championships in tap-dancing in June. Her solo didn't fare too well - she didn't go to the semi-finals although I thought her dance was fantastic... oh well.... there is next year! Stay well!

ooohh...have a wonderful massage. i love them, as long as the person giving them knows what they're doing!

Greetings, everyone - my absence is for a reason - I have been feeling terrible.  Back pains - I guess the bike riding took it's toll on my back.  Although It was not a big strain at the time - sometimes my crazy back will do weird things.  So nursing that - massage appointment tonight.  Needless to say - eating so-so, but no exercise in a week!  I could be devastated, but that would be a was te - will just "soldier" through, I guess!  More later......Some good news - daughter and dance partner got 5th place in a big competition in Cincinnati this weekend.  They were pleased.  They go to Chicago first weekend in September...

Nothing yesterday.  I was just tired, tired.  I don't know what's up.  I came home early from work because I was dizzy and feeling very weak.  Can't seem to shake it.  Hoping for a better day today.  HUsband comes home tonight - I'll pick him up at 5:30.  He's been gone 6 days.  This is last trip for a few months.

About St. Francis De Sales

St. Francis de Sales (1567–1622), known as the Gentle

Well, was so tired yesterday I just took it easy - again.  I am almost finished with prednisone (poison ivy) so maybe that's why I'm so drained.  I will exercise tonight regardless - even if it is 15 min on elliptical trainer.  I don't want too many days to go by without more activity.  Food was OK.  Skirt I have on today was tight and today fits just perfect.  So there must be some loss there.  Haven't weighed in days and days.  I was doing it too often and want to get out of the habit.  Have a good  one, everyone!

Progress as of today: 9.8 lbs lost so far, only 18.2 lbs to go!

cupcakeLuv on 08/12/2009:

Quote of the Day

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
– Theodore Seuss Giesel

About Theodore Seuss Giesel

Theodor Seuss Geisel, the beloved Dr. Seuss, is renowned to generations of children as the author of Green Eggs and Ham and other deliciously absurd picture books. He was born in 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts. His first book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, was rejected 27 times. He wrote The Cat in the Hat after Houghton Mifflin asked him to write a children's primer using fewer than 250 easy-reader words. He died in 1991.

Well, I didn't eat green eggs and ham, but I did have a delicilious grilled checken breast, fresh corn cut off the cob and squash casserole.  No exercise - It was sick HOT and HUMID here.  Rained up a thunderstorm here, too.  Planning bike ride OR Eliptical Trainer tonight.
