Tuesday was OK. I didn't actually get to post menus mid-day as planned, but here goes:

B: 2 pieces WW toast with honey, milk 320

L: Sesame chips, chicken wrap, 500

D: 6 squares of hershey chocolate (smile), round steak, mashed potatoes, Vitamin water 415

Total cals 1235 No exercise

So I guess it was a good day. It just doesn't FEEL like it. I feel so heavy. I don't understand. I am not eating that much 5-6 days a week and I don't "make up for it" the other 1-2 days (just a little higher on those days). I guess it's just not going to budge unless I am more faithful with the exercise. I know that, I guess. And, I love to exercise.

I didn't exercise yesterday because got home too late from transporting daughter. I am dreading her driving and the concerns attached to that, but it will give me more time to do things for myself. Also, summer is coming and no more school. I am TRYING to think positively about it. She will probably take her driver's test next week. Yikes. She is a good driver. I don't worry so much about her driving as I do the other drivers out there with her!

Well, more later, girlies (and guys)!.

Hey Holly, aww your little girl is getting her license! Don't worry about it. Think that if she's responsible, the odds and dangers she will be in are the same as she will be in when someone else is driving. She'll be okay and I am sure she's grow with that. :) You're doing great. If I can give you my two cents.. I am not sure what kind of milk you drink, etc. But maybe if you try to cut on fat and eat the same amount (like going for chicken and fish instead of steak most of the time and skim milk, etc) that may help you lose some more. Exercise does too, of course, but maybe try a little bit of each. Advices, as always, are free. Take them if they work for you, ignore them if they don't. xoxo.

Our son's friend got his license last week and got a car (Mazda MX-3) with his money in savings/bonds..... Now he has to get a job, cause insurance is $235 a month....A MONTH!.....

We are both in the game of "figuring this out" and you need to know that we WILL do it, just have to be patient....Stinks huh?

Have a wonderful Wednesday and I will pray for your nerves to be calmed about your daughters "growing up" and that her safety is kept out on the roads....I have our son/daughter pray almost everytime we leave our driveway....

Your calories look FANTASTIC!!! Yes, let's do the mountain bike-riding 'together'...compare notes...It is always easier getting the exercise done when you know you are not alone...wonderful idea! Hope your shoulder gets better!

Updated Tuesday Morning:

Dinner: roasted Turkey Breast, 1/2 hershey bar (yeah, yeah - I know!!), Cherrios and milk 565

Total Cals: 1105 Exercise: 25 minutes on ET!!!YAY!!!

My left shoulder has been bothering me for months - literally and I finally could not hardly MOVE it - not a good thing when you really want to exercise, huh??? So I went and got a massage last night to see if that would help or if I needed to go to doctor. Oh, my goodness!! There is such a big difference today. It still hurts and I still need to go back later this week, but it's so much better. I can't believe that tight muscles were what was hindering my movement!

I'm up for a good day. Will post menus mid-day and update later. Hang in there all. Make it a good day!

Sunday was better, but I didn't keep track of calories. Mmurano - you are right - there are just some days it's OK and EXPECTED not to be good diet days.

I am back on track today - brought my lunch and have planned meals for the rest of the day.

I'll post menus tomorrow.

Re: "Those around me not caring"... I was saying that due tot he fact that people have mentioned to me that I am looking healthier, face thinner, different clothes...But, then turn around and make comments about me not eating the "foods" @ potlucks,dinners,fellowship time and telling me that I could eat those things and not have to worry about gaining weight....They aren't living this weightloss. They cannot relate to me as well as DD supporters do....

I did post for today and am seeming more optimistic in what I have set forth to accomplish....

Glad your shoulder is better...Mine is bruised, along with my arm from ramming an 8 foot ladder into a doorway on Saturday... I did not realize that I had bruised until yesterday morning when hubby went to hug me goodbye and he squeezed it and I looked in the mirror to see why it hurt...

Anyways.... I have had Acid Reflux/Hernia troubles and took medication that made me have "thrush".. It killed ALL the bad AND good acids in my system...I had to drink high acid fruit juices to rid of it..I threw the pills away..This last 13 weeks have been trouble free from that awful feeling...

Saturday was not a diet success - but the birthday party was a SURPRISE. Lots of fun.

Today we walked 1.5 hours in the park and I a doing better on healthy eating.

Will post more later. Trying to locate a good beach rental for June!

about 1450 - higher than I wanted, and no exercise!~ I will need to do very well today. I really felt "munchie" yesterday early evening. I think it was because I didn't get to do anything I wanted to do after work - walk, clean house, etc. because of daughter's schedule. I'll have to watch that. I'm off to clean house and get ready for husband's surprise party tonight - I can't wait!

Updated for Thursday night!

Dinner at church went OK - I didn't eat dessert and they had the good kind, too!! I ate plenty of good stuff, though. I will add it up and hope I didn't go over my allowance. Dessert at the track would have been the BEST Bread pudding EVER made!!! Theirs is wonderful and not available anywhere else. I really did well yesterday foregoing that bread pudding and the cake at church - it was the kind where you pour the sweet condensed milk over it - top it with coolwhip and a candy bar!!

D: Chicken breast, slaw, broccoli casserole 600

S: kudos 100 (I couldn't resist - had to have a little something sweet!) and apple juice 60 = 160

So that brings the total for the day to 1430 Cals.....not as low as I hoped, but OK - especially considering I could have easily had an additional 1400 in desserts alone - that bread pudding is absolutely decadent! On another day I would have probably split it with someone, but I haven't had enough successful days to get a few lbs off to fit into my clothes. This is reminding me of all the advaantages of eating right! I remember when I had had 2 weeks of eating right in a row I didn't mind having a good dessert - that was really worth it because it wasn't going to spoil my success because I didn't eat that stuff everyday. I will get to that point again.

I am also dissappointed that I haven't exercised like I wanted to this week. Maybe I can make up for it a little over the next 3 days - I am planning on going to ZUMBA Saturday with daughter. Can't wait.

Tomorrow is the Surprise b'day party for husband-tee-hee!

Good job on passing on the desert! I had a couple small cookies today and I stopped myself and said "what the heck are you doing? if you waste all calories on those you'll be hungry tonight" and I stopped. :)

The Thursday Meeting/Dinners sound like something that churches worlwide should be doing more of....

Can you imagine the impact if just one church in each town of each state did something like that ?

I have 2 boys (14 & "47") that would of loved to be at that race track with you, just for the sake of saying they were there. Our son has been an avid racecar fanatic since he was 2.... There is talk of a "major" track coming to our State sometime within the next 5 years, so we shall see...

D: 1/3 boneless pork chop, few bites of corn, couple of brussel sprouts, Kudos bar 220

S: 1/2 container of yogurt, 4 oz apple juice 110

1120 Total Cals for the day No exercise :( It was hard to resist bagles at work-also sweet rolls at work and frozen yogurt after school with daughter. But I did it anyway!

Today will be an especially hard challenge as I am going to Keeneland Race Track (beautiful) on a business outing and they have a fabulous buffet lunch. Also - CHURCH dinner tonight as it is Thursday. I will be mindful and remember my goal - I need some successful days in a row to get into those pants again! Also - Saturday night is the SURPRISE party or husband's birthday! Italian food!!!! Cake!!!! Oh, I am going to challenge myself and I believe I can do it. Be reasonable - don't eat too many "empty" calories. Think nutirtion and avoid hunger, thus avoiding over-eating. Plan, plan, plan. L: Singapore Street Noodles (PF Chang) 570 (The partners "treated" for lunch and this was as low as I could get on the menu. It was nice to have a PC to look up the calories on the menu, though - really helped in planning!)

Yes!...You do deserve it....To lose enough to get into anything smaller and look nice... RE: Walking buddy ~ She hasn't been able to go much lately... She has not been walking for losing weight really, just helps clear her sinuses and makes for less headaches.... She mentioned to me the other day that she couldn't believe how slack she has become, when she had been going daily without ? .... I do call her everytime I am headed out, so she at least has the option of going and not alone....She won't walk alone anyways!.... Her hubby is a bit more on the cautious side and if he doesn't like the path taken she can't go... My hubby ? Well, lets just say I am an an independant woman! I have a tire iron kept held tight along the baby jogger handle and a other arsenol things I take with me : - )~ I am not a frady kat...I will not let the orchard workers/farm hands scare me! This is my "neck of the woods" too! {*;*}

Holly ~ Your regime looks pretty good...Keep up the good work and thanks for the prayer... I truly believe God hears what we say and He will answer in His time & way....

Was just feeling very motivated as my CLOTHES ARE TOO TIGHT and I can't/don't want to have to buy NEW ONES! YIKES!

I can do this - I am already beginning to have more energy. I want things that are healthy and will support my body - not draag it down I am eating according to a good plan I am exercising just a little every day I am going to fit in my clothes soon I am already beginning to see results I will make healthy choices today I deserve to feel better I deserve to fit into my clothes I will do good for my body

Hmm, sugar is poison? I'll have to try thinking that. I don't think I could even keep granola bars around, as I would just eat them too much. You know, the weird thing is, is that I can keep the snacks at home, and I don't eat them there. Its just at work!

Total Cals: 1410 Exercise 1 hour walking FAST (YAY)

Goal for this week - to not get distracted by "stuff" - to exercise at least 20 minutes most every day and to make food/exercise choice ROUTINELY GOOD.......I like this term - ROUTINELY GOOD - I got this from something Horn of Plenty wrote in her diary !!!

Oh, YES!!!! I LOVE your plan! You did fantastic with the 1410 cals and the 1 hour walking...

As for the beach, we went to Myrtle Beach, S.C....my fav destination...we walked and walked and walked for miles and miles...we also ate what we wanted...and when we got home and I weighed, the scale reflected it...thus I am now 'working' on #1 Getting BACK to where I was and #2 Getting to first goal...of 150 (same as yours)...

Well, hello everyone. I am back. I will begin to post menus again this week. I have done pretty well while I was away from the site. I had church retreat this weekend (it was wonderful) and although there was tons of food and snacks around all weekend AND I did endulge in some of my favorites I kept it very reasonable and was able to walk for an hour around the lake where the retreat was held.

Hi all. Sorry to be gone so long. I'll be back. I'm OK, but have a lot on my mind - and it's not particularly nutrition and exercise relataed...I am doing fine on exercise and food, though.
