Didn't post all weekend. Took sick day from work Friday. Feeling much better now. Husband out of town in Atlanta all weekend and got much house cleaning done - still more to do, but I feel better just getting a good start. Husband has agreed to start on garage. It isn't terrible, but he has a bad habit of keeping EVERYTHING. He even has bought new big plastic tubs to STORE things that need to be thrown out. I think he is getting the idea - get rid of stuff!!!

I got lots of exercise housecleaning - really. I took a 3 mile walk on Sunday. It felt good. I walked uphill much of the time. I will walk more this week. Daughter's schedule has calmed down quite a bit. Weather forecast is good this week. No more rain. It couldn't be more georgeous than it is today.

Eating this weekend - OK. Endulged some, but over all - OK. I really feel like getting back on more strict pattern now. It has been hard for about the last month. But I have done OK. I still don't feel confident enough to actually weigh myself - but maybe soon. We are having my husband's family over for Memorial Day at the end of the month for a big cook-out and I would love to be able to wear something slimming and actually look very slim in it (tee-hee)! So I have some goal set there. That will help. I just need to watch the carbohydrate intake and keep up the exercise.

Plan to catch up with some of you all. In the meantime - have a blessed day!

Holly

Glad to see you are feeling much better! Don't overdo on the housecleaning...take good care of yourself! A 3 mile walk sounde like a real good thing! That is a LOT of exercise! Sounds like your eating was similar to mine this weekend...thanks for what you wrote concerning that, btw! Have a blessed day!

Hope you've had a good day today!

My report for yesterday is basically more of the same as yesterday. I am SO TIRED. That goes along with the TOM thing - but I am literally so tired I can't even begin to MAKE myself exercise. Today seems a little better so there is hope. And I think that is the message here. This isn't fun, but it is something I have to get through. It may send my eating/exercise plan on a detour sometimes, but I can do the best I can do when I do feel well, take care of myself the rest of the time and go from there.

I ate healthy yesterday.

B: Eggs and 1 piece toast with butter

L: Spagetti and meat sauce (left over - small portion)

D: Chicken, strawberries, ice cream w/pecans Apple Chips (if you haven't tried these - look for them - Frito Lay makes them under the Brand name of "Flat Earth". They are health chips and come in Apple Cinnamon and Cheddar Cheese flavors)

The ice cream was a "give in" to my feelings, but it was chocolate and delicious. I haven't had any in a very long time.

Daughter is in a small school performance tonight so not sure if will get walk in, but I plan to try if feel OK. It has been raining here all day. Warm through.

Wishing everyone a blessed day.

Hi thanks for your comment.I was thinking(it's a major task sometimes!!)when you have your period is the blood flow heavy as you may be anaemic or a hormonal thing, that is why you are tired ??Have you had any blood tests. That is what happened to me i just did not have any energy and it turned out to be anaemia,It's worth getting checked out what a time you are having with them, don't men have it easy!!.Touch wood since i had the coil fitted,i have been alot better but it took time.I've just had some home-made lasagne with more carbs in it,will do better tomorrow.I made it as low-fat as i could but i did'nt have the garlic bread.I will share those chocolates out between hubby and the girls,it was nice just to have a taster,i sucked it to savour the moment!!catch up with you again,Julie

Hello all. I am back to posting after a couple of days off. I haven't had much time for anything lately. Warning to any guys on this site and anyone who doesn't want to hear info on TOM!

I am very discouraged because my TOM is back after an absence of several months and me believing that I had dodged the bullet on having surgery to aleviate the problem. As a matter of fact it is back after just two weeks this time, very painful and very distressing. For this reason, I think, I am not feeling like exercisisng much at all. I suppose I will just have to re-adjust my thinking and muddle through it all. I can't take much more of this. I will need to call my doctor and make another appointment and discuss the the surgery. I don't want to do it, but I feel to have any good quality of life I must do it.

I have eaten OK last few days - not in a way that will provide weight loss, but don't feel I have gained any (except the expected amount due to TOM of course). I will try to catch up with everyones comments on my diary and on all your diaries soon. In the meantime hang in there. I will - if you all will!

Have a blessed days everyone!

Well, yesterday was OK except I didn't exercise or eat low carb! So how was it OK? I don't know - it just was!

I will do better. I haven't overeaten - just not low carb. I am so TIRED. I don't understand why. Maybe the last two weekends out of town and all the late-night rehearsals - It's not me rehearsing, though - I just drop off and pick up! Last night husband picked daughter up. It was opening night and the play got a very good review in the local paper this morning. Daughter said it went fine except she got hit in the head with a wooden "cloud" suspended over her, almost fell of the fake staircase and hates the box she has to tap dance on in one scene because it is too big - not too many complaints, considering, LOL!!! Seriously I think it went well. We are officially going to the show on Sunday with husband's parents and daughter's boyfriend and his parents.

I am going to get on the Eliptical Trainer tonight - regardless. If I post tomorrow and DON'T say I have been on the thing everyone has my permission to fuss at me! This lazy streak has got to STOP!

Been reading all your diaries. Looks like everyone mostly is doing good. Have a blessed evening and check in with you all tomorrow. We will not be going out of town this weekend - YEA!

Progress as of today: 16.4 lbs lost so far, only 5.6 lbs to go!

greengirl on 04/27/2007:
Glad the show went off okay :o). Sounds like you could do with a little time to yourself to recoup your energy. Have a good weekend.

borntocry on 04/29/2007:
I think that every now and then one just really needs the carbs. And when one is tired is generally when one tends to crave them most (one needs the energy boost, I suppose). Hope you can recharge your batteries this weekend!

weightlossyoyo on 04/29/2007:
You will pass the lazy streak you just have to MAKE yourself do it a couple of times and you won't be so tired.

maria777 on 04/30/2007:
Make sure you take the time to get caught up on some rest!

sweetpea1977 on 05/01/2007:
Hi girl,

Just thought I'd check up on you. Did you go to the elliptical trainer place??

Hope you got caught up on some much needed rest. You have been busy lately!!

WorkingIt2 on 05/01/2007:
Thank you for your kind words! You have been an inspiration to me, you and your daughter. Out of anyone here, I know it is probably harder for you than the rest of us. I take my hat off to you and your daughter. I don't think I'll be gone from here forever, but for right now I just really need to spend my extra time really just getting down to business. Getting back to my core and repairing my physical, mental and spiritual self. You have a lot to offer the folks here at this site because your journal entries are more than just top of your head stuff...what is behind the struggle you face is something that I can only imagine. Keep the faith, stay strong, God bless you and your family!

Yesterday was OK day. I don't know why, but I was "craving" toast. Bread!!! I had a couple of pieces for dinner. Not low carb, but not as high as I used to eat, either.

Still didn't do any exercise except abs. I will change that - just am so tired and time deprived. Weekend is coming.

Not much else going on that you all haven't heard about.

Missed posting yesterday. Monday and Tuesday were OK days - food wise. I haven't exercised all week, yet. I have been busy helping daughter get ready for dress rehearsals and transporting her back and forth from rehearsals. Tomorrow night is the opening night of the play. She is certainly excited. She looks cute in all her costumes!

I have been doing OK, like I said, on eating, but I just don't seem to be losing any weight. The low carb plan was working to get me to where I am -which is probably 3-4 lbs less than I was on the calorie-counting plan. But I seem to be at a stand still again. Exercise is definitely the key, but I probably won't be able to do much exercise until the weekend. Between fatigure and daughter's schedule, I am booked solid. If I am needed to help at the theatre that would be good because that usually entails running errands up and down several flights of steps-so there is hope for some exercise.

I guess this is a good time to hold down the fort and just do the best I can - as long as I don't go into a permanent holding pattern......

Everyone have a blessed day. Wish my daughter and the rest of the cast here in KY "break a leg" on the production......and I'll catch up with everyone this weekend-if not before!

Progress as of today: 16.4 lbs lost so far, only 5.6 lbs to go!

At least you have a good excuse not to exercise. It sounds like you are one busy woman right now! Im sure once things settle down a little, you'll have more time to focus on you again. In the meantime, just keep doing what you can and hang in there!

Oh and "Break a leg"! :o)

Well, I'm back from a weekend of dance! I am SO tired. Good news and bad news---I did OK on exercise, and good on eating on Saturday, but Sunday I just carb'ed out - big time! I just went on this "see food/pick it up/eat it" trip through my mother in law's kitchen and then my own when we got home. I think because I was so tired, it was there (if that makes sense). It was a conscience thing, though, and I just thought - well, I'll eat this now and I will get back on the low carb plan tomorrow morning - it will be a good week. Sure enough I am fine this morning. Not really feeling lead to eat everything in sight or anything like that. We didn't get home until midnight last night and I was so tired. There is not alot of good food available where the competition was in Dayton and we were kind of "captive" due to the scheduling of daughter's dance numbers.

There is a pattern here on weekends. I tend to do fine during the week and then eat more carbs on the weekends. There is an article from Spark People I want to read about staying steady on weekends. We'll see what that has to say later today, maybe.

At any rate. I hope to catch up to your diary entries tonight or tomorrow. In the meantime, have a blessed day.

Glad the weekend went well!! Along with stress eating, eating when I am exhausted will usually lead to really bad choices. I wonder why that is? But good for you for getting right back on track..sometimes that can be SO hard! Yay for you!!

sweetpea1977 on 04/25/2007:
Im the same way with my eating habits. I do great on the weekdays, but I fall off the wagon sometimes on the weekends. It has a lot to do with the lack of structure my weekends have. Now that its warmer out, Im going to try harder to eat out less and grill up meals on our nice grill on the weekends.

Anyway, good for you on getting back on track after your carb fest (yum!)! Keep up the good work!

Yesterday - Thurs 4/19 was a good day on food. Exercise......not so much! I wrote on my diary yesterday that I was not hungry all day and hoped it would hold out. It did. I didn't really eat much until about 11:00 last night when daughter came home from rehearsals. I don't know why there are some days like that, but I seem to have more of them since my food choices have been low carb. I have been on a strawberry "binge" tee-hee. I have eaten a quart of strawberries each day for the last two days LOL! They are in season in FLA and we have been getting some wonderful ones at low prices.

I DIDN'T EXERCISE at all due to daughter's schedule and timing, etc. I am going to TRY to get some exercise in tonight.

We will go to Dayton, OH for competition Saturday stopping at in-Laws in Cincinnati late, late, late tonight. Haven't seen them in awhile.

I probably won't get to post anymore until Monday. Here's wishing each of you a blessed weekend and happy, healthy eating until then.

Progress as of today: 16.4 lbs lost so far, only 5.6 lbs to go!

Moody on 04/20/2007:

Yesterday - Wednesday 4/18 was an OK day. I ate a little too much carbs mostly because I ate a cookie from the "Good Foods Cooperataive" - a locally owned natural and organic good store that also happens to have a bakery and restaurant. It was an unusual kind - Cardamon & Walnut But was very low the day before so....I guess it all averages out. At least I hope so.

EXERCISE for yesterday was 50 minutes of walking and 10 min abs = 60 MINUTES!

I have not been hungry at all today. I hope that holds out.

Blessings to all of you. Have been reading your diaries but not always commenting much just the same.

Yesterday - Tuesday 4/17 was a good day. Stayed VERY low carb and exercised for 60 minutes. 50 min walk 10 min abs. TOTAL 60 Minutes of exercise.

Daughter is feeling better today. Went to school.

Yesterday I ate the following:

B: 2 eggs

S; Cashews

L: 1/2 cheeseburger (meat and cheese only)

S: Peanut Butter and Banana

D: Hamburger Pattie and Yogurt

S: Skim Milk

I had grilled hamburgers Monday night and just ate the left overs. It is so odd that eating no more than that all day I did not get hungry and had no cravings that I couldn't ignore at least.

Wishing everyone a Blessed day.
