Didn't take time to update yesterday - food was OK. No exercise due to running over to Mom's to clean out a closet for her - it's a long story.

B:  1/2 turkey sandwich, iced coffee

Lunch will be a diet buster - going to the racetrack with a customer and an insurance carrier.  I am not crazy about betting on the horses, but it's a beautiful day and they will have a buffet.

L:  Roll, Corned Beef, little bit of broccoli salad, tiny piece of cheese cake

S:  Honey Roasted Peanuts

D:  BBQ  Pulled Pork on Light WW Bun 

Will eat something later....

Hi :-) I want very much to ask you about this comment you left for me "Oh Starfish - you are on to something! One day I asked myself what else I would lose if I lost "the weight". My answers were surprising - even to me! The answers weren't easy to think about because I had to admit some things that were hard to admit. I don't know if it will be the same for you, though - that was just me. But the flip side was then - what will I be gaining if I lose "the weight". That was more positive. I am in between right now - about 10 lbs above where I would like to stay - so I'm not sure what is stopping me from getting back down to where I am more comfortable." I want to ask what were the realizations you came to? Maybe it would help trigger something for me? But of course I don't want to come off as too nosey. Would I find the answers if I looked further back in your diary? Or is there some way we can message or email?

Updated yesterday - it was an OK day.

I started this a.m. with the Kettlebell workout - 12 minutes

Had coffee with a customer this morning that is going to ride bike with me on Sunday 4/22.  She hasn't ridden in years and is excited about it.  She has started a quest for health and has been making great progress.  I hpe she likes it.  She's going to ride my "old bike".  I'll get the tires pumped up in advance and she's going to try some padded shorts out.  Fun!

B:  Iced Coffee, Egg McMuffin With NO CHEESE - about 200 calories for the EMcM

L;  1/2 Turkey Baguette sandwich, Veggie Straws and an apple, water

S:  2 squares of dark chili chocolate 95 calories

D:  Hamburger on bun with vegetables and cheese, homemade grilled - tasty

S:  two flans - 260 calories total

2 mile walk with husband and dogs

Progress as of today: 13.6 lbs lost so far, only 14.4 lbs to go!

I just typed a whole long response and then chrome quit and i lost it!! Anyway, I'm glad you have a potential riding buddy. My girls rode with us Saturday and found the 10 miles challenging. Since they were athletes, I didn't think they would find it that difficult. My hubby sweats profusely and you can see his heart rate is really increased. I don't sweat or even get winded. We travel about 11 - 13 mph and I stay in a low gear to get plenty revolutions per minute. I don't know why, but i have never really sweated all my life. Oh, well, finger is still throbbing but I know it will get better. Hope you had a pleasant Easter. I didn't finish reading and catching up on everyone yet!

Nice weekend.  Walked a lot with the dogs and husband and friends.  Ate too much pie yesterday.  Lemon icebox type -  homemade by me.  We ate diner out at a nice restaurant on Sunday with daughter, her boyfriend and my Mom.

Today so far:

B:  1/2 PBJ sandwich and iced coffee

L;  Brought mine from home - turkey on ciabatta baguette, apple, clementine

D:  BD's Mongolian Grille - 1/2 Chicken Order

S:  Cinnamon Toast Baguette

No real exercise

Updated yesterday's entry.  I did a bike ride and a 2 mile walk!  The bike ride was eventful due to strong winds - see details below!

Today so far -

B: 1 Piece of toast with jam and iced coffee - didn't have time to cooke the egg this morning :o(

Going to try to work only 1/2 a day today if I can get everything done.  A lot of  people are off today so maybe it will be slow.  Want to try for a repeat of yesterdays exercise - bike ride and a walk.   It is very cool here only going up to about 63 degrees today.  Sill very windy.

Yeah for the bike ride and the walk!! I don't like a stiff wind, but I rather it on my trip out than on the way back. I can only imagine the coasting! We are unusually cool too. Hubby is working so I am trying to get my friend to at least leisurely ride with me. I would love a fast workout, but leisurely is better than nothing! Your shopping spree sounds successful too! I have been picking up one or two pieces here and there so not to kill the budget. Enjoy your day and hopefully you won't have to work too hard! Have a nice Easter in case I don't get back on tomorrow!

Wow, sounds like you got extreme winds, yesterday! Great job on the 9 miles ride, that's a lot of fun! Thanks for the comments on my entry - I do like apples and carrots, those are great ideas!

Good job on the ride and walks, Holly! As for your question, NO WAY i would do the daily hot yoga till then. hahaha. it's an insane challenge (nothing like just working out every day) and I wouldn't even have the time. That month I did i left work early a lot, and didn't do much else other than the yoga every night. But i LOVED the experience of doing it and would do it again sometime in the future. :) it would be a great way to shape up some till mexico though :) Happy easter. xoxo

I had toast and jam this morning with coffee, too...but not iced coffee...I like mine the regular temp. Which I guess it's not considered regular temp anymore, I thought after I keyed that, hehe! Thanks for asking about my Brother. He is doing well and He is a rehabilation counselor in his new job that he likes a lot. Good for you on your bike ride. When is the marathon? (Or have I missed it?) :-)

Didn't update yesterday's entry because I mainly don't remember yesterday details!!!

Today I had to be out of the office for appointments.  Drove a lot. 

B:  Ezekiel Bread Toast with jam, scrambled egg, coffee

L:  TERRIBLE - hot dog and cookies, diet limeade

D:  1/2 small tuna stuffed potato

S:  Small Smoothie with Almond Breeze w coconut - YUMMY!  Better than those coolies I had earlier in the day!

I rode my bike tonight - only 9 miles in a STRONG wind.  I couldn't get away from it.  I only averaged around 11 MPH.  The wind was so strong a couple of times when I coasted down steep hill instead of gaining speed I actually slowed down! 

Also went for 2 mile walk with husband and dogs in the meadows and woods in the park.  The wind wasn't so bad in the park in the woods because the trees broke the wind.

So at least I did very good on exercise.  Going to do some abs and the mini kettlebell workout

I stopped in an outlet in the town I drove to - [icked up 4 cute stops and spent only $50 on all of them.  Will be good for spring.  I can dress all of them up or down so very versitle.  I need some new bottoms, though - especiall casual and dress pants in black and khaki.

Was going to cook for Easter Sunday, but decided we will go out to eat.  Am not really inspired to cook anything - so probably best.  That way I can go to sunrise service and come home and relax.

Didn't feel well last night so took a nap after I came home - must have needed it.  I had a stomach "issue" yesterday afternoon and felt like I was getting a bug - but it went away.....so happy about that.

I didn't eat much last night due to not feeling well.  I didn't walk with husband, but I did the kettlebell workout and pushups and ab work 

B:   Iced coffee with vanilla creamer and dry cinn cherrios

Just read one of your posts about the dentist from hell- I had one of those- got a bruise from a shot & didn't get a good cleaning. Good for you to walk out. Hope you'll be feeling 100 % soon.

The UK Wildcats won the NCAA!  It was exciting.  It's so sad that there was a riot and a shooting last night on campus.  The police were in riot gear - fans lit garbage, cars and other things on fire, they are looking for the shooter who, thank God, didn't kill anyone!  What a way to dishonor your team, your school, your town and yourself.  Why in the world does such a happy occasion breed this kind of behavior?  Bad judgement and liquor, I guess.

Updated yesterday - walked 2 miles with dogs and husband.  Daughter made delicious cinn pull apart bread with yeast and it was successful.  Ate two pieces.  Other than THAT good food day, but needed vegetables!   

More later.

i forgot to mention that  I have continued to do the kettlebell mini workouts in the mornings or evenings.  It's only 10-15 minutes almost every day, but it seems to be adding up - my arms are looking slightly more toned and I feel stronger.  Of course holding myself up on the bike and pumping uphill helps with strength and muscle tone, too.  :o)  

No breakfast - forgot

L:  Lasagne

S;  Frosty

D:  Not feeling well  haven't eaten yet

S:  2 pieces Ezikiel Bread toast and jam 1/2 c milk

Did some push ups  -  kettlebell workout and skipped the walk due to "stomach distress"

Yes i was up pretty late watching the game..It really sucks that stupid people have to ruin what should be a joyous occasion :( Anyhoo good news on the Insanity choice, and even better is that you have your own personal trainer there to assist with modifying the moves..I have to do so with alot of the jumping because of my knees.. Ugh, I can't think of anything that could justify that type of behavior. Stupidity! Yesterday sounds nice, that bread sounds like the "monkey bread" my nieces love so much that is just little pull apart balls of bread. It's super yummy!

I'm just relieved that the violence didn't happen here where the game was played! We have had WAY too much violence and bad press lately. What is wrong with people??? Why have they lost their morality and value for human life? Way too many shootings and stupid acts of violence. I think kids are immune to violence because of the video games and TV they were brought up playing and watching. To them, it is just another adventure but no one understands that the consequences are permanent....That's another rant for another day!!! Glad you got your walk and I would kill for a cinnamon pull apart! (Did I say kill?? Sorry....)

yes, that sugar is addictive stuff for me!! I have been totally sugar free since January 10 except for the 3 Fridays that I ate those stupid donuts at work. And as {orgasmic} as they were at the time of eating, each day after I had a lethargic feeling and a serious guilt feeling that I was sabotaging myself!! I talk about the future with maintaining and indulging in wonderful treats like that occasionally , but I honestly don't know if I am capable of just a taste! I made a Decadent Chocolate Almond Torte this weekend and I made it totally sugar free. It is a treat for me after dinner, but I am afraid that the fat calories are way too indulgent at this point in my journey. I guess I will learn balance sooner or later. I will make some yeast rolls this week for the ham. I used to make yeast rolls once a week and I make a homemade cinnamon roll that I lace with bacon!!! Yum!!!!

I overate during the weekend.  Back on track today.  Need to get more exercise in this week.  One thing or another is making me procrastinate or wimp out.  I will do better this week.  Exercise must be more of priority!

I had a bad experience with the new dentist I went to this morning.  I needed a filling and she stuck me in the lip with the needle before numbing me up.  I walked out of the appointment.  Told her I didn't think it was going to work out.  I had two negative encounters with the office staff so I just had a bad impression from the outset and kept trying to get over it - so now I am looking for ANOTHER new dentist!  I hope that will work out with insurance!

B:  Pineapple upside down cake, coffee

L:  Kid's Subway sandwich light chips water - no other choice today 

S:  Granola Bar 90 cals

D:  one pork chop - grilled with BKW seasoning - daughter bought this and it's good.  2 very small baked potatoes with just a little butter and sour cream 

S:  Daughter made cinnamon pull apart bread during the game!  it was great. I had two small pieces!

2 mile walk with dogs-YAY!  Husband had bright idea of crossing a creek and I fell on a big rock now have a bruise and big knot on my hip!  It's his fault  -  LOL!

So sorry about your dental experience. I have such anxiety when I go because I had a traumatic issue years ago that left me so anxious that I need a sedative before any injections or drilling work. I hope you find someone you trust soon. We biked a lot this weekend because the weather was just beautiful. I thought about you and hope you get back on your bike soon! Have a better day!

That stinks about the dentist, I don't blame you at all for walking out. I am very lucky to have a great dentist that the boys love too. She's a little kooky but her and the hygienists are A+ so that's all that matters. Good luck finding someone new!

I wanted to choose the best ones (out of 230! yikes...) for my mother, then I resolved sending all to her, so she picked up some. Well, "SOME". Almost all of them, LOL! Mothers...... :P

Owww! I have a little thing about dentist, had a lot of work done in England as a child on the free Dental System as a result I have been to the dentist three times in forty years. Once when I was fifteen, once when I was 32 and about three years ago (55) the dentist was nice and said I had amazingly good teeth considering that I never went to a dentist!!! Hah! I suspect they put something in that yuccky tasting water you have to rinse with that rots the teeth. I only needed a clean after all that time:)....I am smiling at you (with my very good for my age teeth).....not bad eh! :)

Sorry about the horrible dentist visit :( Oh and RYC I think that you and hubby should preview both workouts together and decide which one you want to do.. Although I am Tony fanatic, I also like Shaun T's style and his short and sweet approach to the classes as opposed to the hour long(or more) classes..Sometimes you just want to maximize the workout and still have time to do other things, ya know..Oh BTW that Pasta Puttanesca came out oh so delisioso :P

Updated yesterday. Good day.

I will report on the hormones at this point.  Two weeks gone by.  I think they are working just like I hoped they would.  I have had very minimum side effects and those seem to have subsided now.  I have more energy, am sleeping much better, I think I am clearer headed, and there are other benefit that are too personal to mention - but let's just say I am very happy about those!  ;o)  The bruise has been gone for several days and the little "knot" around the "pellet" is gone and I can't hardly tell it is even there.  No complaints at this point!

Going to try to get a bike ride in each day this weekend.

B:  Birthday at work - someone is bringing my favorite donuts so I will have one or two!

That is fantastic news that the hormones are doing their job Holly, I'm so pleased for you! I remember when I started taking an aspirin years ago that I noticed a difference pretty quickly - clearer head was the biggest change but also less lethargic. Now if I skip an aspirin I realize by mid-morning that I'm sluggish haha. Have a wonderful day!
