UPDATE on Thursday -

Ate more later last night  - two pieces of raisin toast - oh well, still not bad overall.  I have really been keeping it low lately - so I don't think any harm done.

Will probably go out to eat tonight.  I'll post more later.  I just want to get this day over.  I quickly updated my resume and submitted it on line yesterday.  Fingers crossed on this job. That said - I really pray God's will for my job situation.  That I will see a clear path upon which He is leading me.  Whether that is staying where I am, get another job, stop working for now, work part-time, or something else I have never thought of. What He has planned for me is guaranteed much better than anything I can create in my own strength.  Amen!

Good to be back. I wish My workouts were as consistent as Annie's! I will get back to working out soon. It's been raining here. I will walk or bike ride his weekend!!!

Today I ate:

Tea, nuts and 3 yogurt pretzels, cereal bar

1/2 cantalope

Cooking those pork chops that I didn't get to cook the other night.  It was either that or freeze and I prefer them if they haven't been frozen.  I am making them Indiana style.  I have no idea why they call them that.  I got the recipe from a Family Circle cookbook that I had years ago.  They are basically like BBQ chops in the skillet.  Delicious.  I probably will eat one tonight and some greens.

Husband is sick in bed!  He has gastro "bug"  - feels terrible.  Much like baby girl had a few weeks ago.  Hope she doesn't get it again - she still hasn't gained the weight she lost back.  He really feels bad.  I also hope I don't get it!!!!

Work - well, it's just worse.  They are bringing in consultants to look at what we all do and see what can be done to arrange or rearrange our department.  It's not like we haven't made suggestions!!!  But what needs to happen calls for a bit of an investment and they haven't been willing to make it - but now it's someone else's idea - it will probably get done finally!  Everything is so manual and not automated.  Is archaic.  But it may not matter much longer.  I am going to quit as soon as I feel comfortable doing so.  Also....I have another lead on a job!  I was called about this one, too and suggested that I apply.  And it is a job I'd probably really like - at least for awhile!  So we will see!!!  The other job I had the interview for - is still pending.  They probably won't make a decision for 2-3 months - the position depends on if their parent company awards certain contacts to them. But that particular manager basically offered me a job a year and a half ago,, so maybe eventually.  Then my mother and a couple of my retired friends say why keep working.  I like responsibility and I like earning money.  I guess ideal at this point my be part time.  I just can't make up my mind to leave right now. 

Going to try to walk, but it's getting late and I am oh so tired!  Maybe a short one!

That's great to hear you have another lead job. Best you leave this one as soon as you feel you can and move forward with your own life. :)

Tuesday was OK.  I didn't exactly overeat, but it wasn't my best food day and I had no exercise in several days.

I ate:  Banana, nuts and 5 yogurt pretzels, cereal bar and 2/3 C yogurt, 1/2 cheeseburger and 4 onion rings

I went out to eat and caught up with my girlfriend, but the restaurant really didn't have any great choices.  Their hamburgers are really really good, though so it was worth it - and if that's all I ate all day - it wasn't that bad.  Husband ate the other half which I brought home! 

Tomorrow night we don't have church, so I will walk  I am supposed to pick up the baby girl again tomorrow after work.

Spring Break week and low attendance. So they don't have Wed night services and activities this week. So many out of town or otherwise occupied with family. Thanks for asking.

Yesterday was the first day in a long time that was not a good food day. I overate and had two donuts to boot!  That was OK - I will get back on track today and this week.  Just a blip on the screen.  I didn't exercise formally, either - I was way more active than I usually am with some yard work and hauling baby girl around.

UPDATE

Followed my recent usual pattern - very little food during the day - then reasonable food at night.  Tea, nuts and 5 yogurt pretzels, 2 beef tacos - very healthy for tacos - not greasy at all - very little cheese at all - some beans and only about 10 tortilla chips with salsa.  That's it unless I eat more later.

No real exercise, but picked up baby girl right after work - loaded her in and out of the car 3 times and took her to the playground for an hour before taking her home. 

Tired now- going to sleep!

Yesterday as a pretty good day - ate more than I have been - but that's OK.  I needed it.  Hectic day because I had baby girl.  So much fun.  We went to visit my mom - her great-grandmother - we went to the store and bought her a bicycle.  She was so excited - although she can't ride it yet - it's a - get this - 12 inch bike!  LOL. I think she will be riding it before the end of Summer! We also purchased some PLAY DOH and had fun with that. 

As I updated last night, I didn't do the BBQ chops because had baby girl longer than planned. but husband wanted BBQ since I mentioned it earlier.  I stopped off at local BBQ place - independent and the BEST and picked up a couple of PP sandwiches and sides.  I only ate the sandwich. It was fantastic!    

Today so far:  cherrios and 1/2 a banana.  Tea

I am going to cook some kale greens and we have early dinner/late lunch at a nice restaurant in town with my mom, daughter and SIL and baby girl.  I need to save up calories for that.  I also am going for a walk or bike ride later today before it rains. 

More later  Dinner out ate - salad, roll with butter, 1/2 pork chop, couple bites of mashed sweet potato brought the rest home - daughter brought donuts!!!!!!!  I ate 1/2 - I will probably eat the other 1/2 later.  Oh, well, I I have done very well for quite a few days in a row - I am not going to let one day stop me.

Enjoy either your walk or bike ride. I agree with what you write at the beginning of your entry about eating more bc you needed it. When I am truly listening to my mind & body is when I am usually feeling my best.

Friday was good.  I didn't really eat all day - was just not hungry.  I had tea and a handful of nuts and 3 yogurt pretzels.  Work was pretty hectic.  It was payday and I have my own functions to do and I am now learning and doing my bosses' payday functions.  On top of that - she is leaving in two more weeks and my coworker found out that she will need surgery soon - I don't know what we will do when she goes out.  I am maxed out on activities now.  Seriously!

For dinner we went out to a restaurant we've been wanting to try - Joella's Hot Chicken.  It was pretty good - the chicken was great - you choose your cut of chicken and the spice level and two sides and a drink.  I had a breast and wing quarter with a mid spice level, vinegar slaw and black eye pea salad.  I ate all the chicken, two bites of the BE pea salad and 1/2 the vinegar slaw. THEN we stopped at Baskin Robbins for my husband's favorite ice cream and I had one scoop of Jamocha Almond Fudge.  They post the calories of their ice cream now - that helped me not feel bad about having some.  240 calories per scoop.  So all in all, because I didn't eat earlier - a good day.  

I didn't walk or exercise.  I will get plenty of exercise Saturday - the baby girl is coming to see me and I'll have her all morning until 1:00.  Can't wait to see her.  My friend is coming for tea and to see her, too.  I am looking forward to seeing my friend.

Will try to do really well on food and exercise Sat. Sunday we are going out to eat for Easter Dinner with daughter, SIL, my mother to a great restaurant.  I am planning on having salmon and vegetables and bread - no dessert.  We'll see what happens. 

UPDATE:  Food so far - tea, couple of bites of gluten free pancake and syrup - homemade for baby girl.  Grits with cheese about 1/2 cup, 1/2 sm banana, 1/2 salami and cheese sandwich on sourdough bread with horseradish mustand.  Tea.

Tonight for dinner I am making Indiana porkchops - they are delicious and made in a skillet.  Kiind of skillet BBQ chops!  Kale Greens and another vegetable - not sure what yet.......tomorrow is the big dinner out - exercised with the baby girl and will walk later, too.

Maybe they will need you to stay longer at work, since the other woman needs surgery! It may work out in your best interest. Maybe a raise?

I am going out tonight too - for tasty Japanese :) enjoy your night out. I'm also planning same food as you - probably a fish or meat and tons and tons of veggies.

Well, the place I work is just so weird and I don't know what's going to happen. I am going to take one day at a time. There is part of me that just wants to quit and part of me that doesn't. I am not ready to retire completely, I don't think. Financially we could do it, but really, I'm not sure. Thanks for the positive thoughts! Hope your meal was good.

Good food day today -

almonds and cashews 1/4 cup and 6 yogurt pretzelsl

grilled cheese sandwich - 3 bites of maple yogurt

carne asada burrito - small - homemade with lots of lettuce, beans and a little cheese

probably something later - but that's all for now.  I probably won't walk tonight.  It's pouring rain.  I might go do some exercise.  Will report back later.

Today was pretty good. I ate a variety of stuff - but not much of it at all.

Kind bar, tea, banana

I basically taste tested my way though the Lucky's grocery store for lunch.  1 cube of turkey, one small slice of salami, one small cube of parm reggi cheese, then I had about 8 cashews and 8 English walnuts and 6 yogurt pretzels (I bought the nuts and pretzels ). 

I bought some sliced turkey and roast beef for sandwiches and and bad a RB sandwich with horseradish mustard on a bun with lettuce for dinner.  Plus 1/2 grapefruit.

Husband and I are taking dogs for a walk.  He's chomping at the bit to go - but I gotta let the dinner settle a little!!!!

More later.

UPDATE - small bowl of cherrios with 1/2 banana and we went for 2.5 mi walk!
