Yesterday is updated.  I ate about 1045-1095 cals yesterday.  Not that hungry most of the day. 

My friend (the one that rides bikes with me sometimes) and I are going tomorrow night to check out a wellness center/gym one exit over to see if we want to join for the winter months.  They have a variety of classes and monthly rates.  I'm going to take a closer look at the times of the classes I think I'd like and go look at the facilities.  Full report tomorrow or Thursday. 

Today:

B:  Coffee -- oops forgot to eat - carried a banana to work to eat - but didn't get to it.

L:  Slaw, corn, fried green tomatos 450-475.  Have green beans and cornbread for later.......  :o)

 D:   1 C Chili, butternut squash casserole 425

S:  12 nuts - cashews, almonds, pecans  85

1060 Calories  

 

Progress as of today: 16.4 lbs lost so far, only 11.6 lbs to go!

Nice menu! Gotta try the fried green tomatoes again...the last time I fixed them, I was not 'enthused' with them and took them to church, where they got ate by people who were pretty enthused with them. :-)

Well, I'm up early and on husband's laptop. Drinking a cup of coffee, ate a leftover pancake.....yesterday is updated - 1250 calories and a 4 mile walk!

B:  Coffee, pancake 150-200?

S:  Almonds, banana 160

L:  1 C chili and cornbread, fresh pineapple 360

Subtotal - 670-720 ish

D:  Butternut Squash, salmon and - wierd, but true - 3 T uncooked oatmeal with BS Splenda.  I was going to put this on top of  the squash, but found mini marshmellows instead!375

1045-1095 Cals for the day.  No real exercise, except groc shopping and up and down steps!

 

Progress as of today: 16.4 lbs lost so far, only 11.6 lbs to go!

Just read your post on Selina's page and i have to say that you are on a roll today my friend! I so agree about Gary Condit!!! It really gets under my skin when people stray from their vows and then cry foul upon getting exposed! Also as a single woman i have to say that not to sound like i am perfect but a woman who goes after a married man has no scruples or self esteem! It sickens me okay off my soap box!

Thank you so much for your advice. I do find that you are right, just getting there is something I know will take time. I'm a perfectionist at heart, which is really bad for me when I can't be "perfect". I'm hoping that being able to "talk" about my journey will give me encouragement and motivation to continue on the path to a more healthy lifestyle.

Well, there won't be any weight loss for this week. I ate big all day yesterday.  Big breakfast this morning.  I am not sure how many cals, but I'd say about 1900-2100 yesterday and about 700 so far today.  My husband had his "boy" cousins over and they went to a concert.  I got roped into cooking dinner & breakfast  for them.  I really was hungry.  I am not hungry now, however!  I am also NOT upset that I have eaten so much the last two days.  This is part of life and I chose to eat "well" and I didn't eat junk, and it was not mindless.  I am very satisfied and can now cut back on calories and not feel deprived in any way.  I am "kind of " upset that I didn't exercise.  I just had too much to do - laundry, vaccumming, bathrooms, grocery, cooking......I am walking with  friend today - later.  It got cold here again last night and I always get hungry when it turns cold!  I will also try to do at least 30-40 minutes on ET to sort of off set the extra calories.  Later DD pals! 

L:  Chili about 1/2 C - 150?  Not very hungry so far after such a big breakfast.  Goal is to stay in touch with hunger only.

D:  Collard Greens with cornbread YUM, smoothie  400

1250 calories and a 4 mile walk! See back to the plan!

I consider all of those things, vacumming, etc, to be exercise. You kept moving and were burning up cals the whole time. It sounds like you had fun and also had the right attitude. That is the healthy way to do it!

Yesterday is updated.  About 1600-1800 cals for the day.  I am taste testing chili I made for lunch for my breakfast, so that's interesting!  Also having trouble typing on laptop since I had new nails put on yesterday when I took the break from work.  I used to wear acrylic nails all the time for about 14 years but took them off about 6 years ago. Then  I was able to grow my own nails and have been doing that for a long time, but lately my own nails just won't grow so I had some solar nails put on.  When my natural nails grow out underneath these I'll take them off and have them put gel polish on.  That stuff goes over your own nails and they won't break.  So much for nail news!

Going for a bike ride later!

So glad to hear from you. I am a nail lady too. I've been wearing sculptures for about 20 years or so. I wear them very long. I can do EVERY thing with them, and NOTHING without them. Ha! Ha! Never heard of solar nails,,, got to check into that. Bet your chili was great, save me a bowl ( LOL ) xoxo

L:  Big Splurge Had an Arby's Junion RB Sandwich and 3 Onion Rings  600

I'll be careful for thb rest of the day.  Also - exercise tonight.  I'm leaving work early to take a BREAK!

Well so much for watching it the reswt of the day on Friday.  I decided to splurge.  Husband and I went to Mexican resturant and split Fajitas.  I only had one, but I had chips and salsa.  About 15 chips.  That actually wasn't so much alories, but then we drove thru Dairy Queen bc I have been wanting a blizzard.  Had a Mini Buster Bar Blizzard.  All together this splurge meal was probably around  800 cals so wound up with about 1600 calories for the day. 

Progress as of today: 16.4 lbs lost so far, only 11.6 lbs to go!

I've ordered a very basic dishwasher by Amana. Got it at Home Depot (Veterans Day sale) Was $299 - got it for $199. Once adapters, etc were added, total was under $260. Can't believe some dishwashers were over $800! It's just my dishes (and occasional guests)and considering I'm still unemployed, I went cheap. Can actually pay for it w/change I've saved. Hope I don't regret getting a very basic one...

1222 calories for yesterday.  No real exercise.  I will get out of this mode soon.  I want to exercise.  If I could do it in the middle of the day.......hmmmm may have to work on that.

Today so far:

B:  Banana, Strawberry, Spinach Smoothie  250

S:  10 almonds 60

L:  Vegetable Soup with 1/2 turkey sandwich 325I am pretty hungry today.  My days of really low cals may be catching up with me.  I will be sure to eat enough today and make sure it's healthy food.

Subtotal = 635

S:  6 almonds  42

D:  Junky stuff my husband loves - hey - it's Thursday night-didn't want to go out or cook so.....1 frozen fish filet, 125, 16 crisy potato crowns  250,

S:  Smoothie  250

1260 - it seems this is where I end up most days lately - 1250-1350 range - that's a good thing.  Exercise short walk 15 minutes

Yesterday is updated 1269 cals and 35 minutes walk/run!   YAY! 

Feeling so slim, but reality check yesterday monring when I tried on a couple of pairs of my SMALLEST pants (size 8 and 10 that run smaller)  Still way too tight!  Couldn't even get them zipped or buttoned at the top.  Those are the last two pairs that I absolutely cannot wear at all.  So once I get in those - I'll have a celebration!  One pair lacked a whole 3 inches or so before I can button the waist and the other probably an inch and a half......I am not upset or unhappy about it.  I can get in the majority of my clothes, and that was not the case 6 months ago!  Now I know about how far I am from my goal - about 10-12 pounds more should do it!

Maria - dear - where are you?  Taking a few days off?  Miss you!

B:  2 pieces of toast and tea 170

L:  Vegetable Plate - corn, kale, slaw 1/2 cornbread stick = 350 (?) and I'm VERY FULL  - Green beans came home with me - didn't eat them. 

S:  6 almonds and one square dk choc  77

S:  Cookie (yikes)  150

D:  Green beans with 1 and 1/2 sticks of cornbread Left over from lunch and a PBJ with the new low cal hi fiber bread I found a Meijers.450

S:  1/4 C skim milk 25

1222 Calories

Updated yesterday.  1045 cals - no exercise.  I made excuses - I will exercise tonight - REGARDLESS!! 

B:  Grits w butter, Tea 230

S:  6 almonds 42

L:  Professional Assoc Lunch - I did good - 1/2 chicken breast 60, green beans 40, roll with butter 150 (theirs are so good) didn't eat salad, rice or dessert!! = 250

S:  6 almonds 42

Subtotal = 564 - very good

S:  3 cookies  225

D:  Soup and cornbread stick  300

S:  2 pieces of toast with butter and jam 180

Total cals 1269 Exercise = 35 minutes walk/run!!  Left husband in the dust!

 

Progress as of today: 16.4 lbs lost so far, only 11.6 lbs to go!

i think it's still awesome you are stretching yourself - getting to a class and having DVDs is great too - on yoga journal.com they offer free videos of how to do some poses and then little flash cards of the names of poses, etc. if you would like, i would be happy to email you as well with some other options...happy for you! :)

So sorry to be absent from DD!  I miss you all very much and think of you all all the time!!

I have been working many hours and not able to post much for the last few days.  I probably won't be able to post much this week, either, BUT.....I hope everyone will notice the new weight I posted today.  I weighed Friday morning and there it was.  I am now have much incentive to keep going and GET OUT of the 160's!!  I hope by the end of this week or middle of next!

I promise I'll post when I can and check up on you guys as soon as I can!  Love to you all and God bless - Holly 

UPDATE:

B:  1/2 bagel with whipped honey cream cheese, tea 200

L:  Slaw, fried Green Tomatos, corn, sweet potatos  - no sugar  - 550

S:  Swiss Cheese and crackers 100

D:  3 inch peice of Turkey Sausage and Cabbage YUM - 150

S:  1 square of dark chocolate 45

1,045  calories - no exercise - should have eaten more!

Subtotal 802 - I'll need to be careful with cals the rest of the day.  Feeling VERY nauseous  after coffee and choc square this morning - probably not going to eat anything more 'til dinner anyway.....

Yes i am a bartender just one of many occupations that i have, but this is the only thing i actually enjoy doing...I work outside and the elements dictate if i work or not..It is risky but i have a "rainy day fund" set up so i don't have to worry if we are closed...It hasn't rained in a few months so if i miss today, not a problem ;) As far as books i love just about everything,thrillers especially, let me know what your next book club selection is :) i plan to get the trilogy though thanks for your suggestions...also i have a few books myself if you are interested,I can send them to you

Anyway I am sure that you know what you are doing.
