(Healthy Eating and Exercise)
Weight: 163.4

Check out my weight - I've lost another 1.6 lbs since last weigh in - on October 4th.    Slowly and surely!

Everyone on my FB page can check out my d - Rachel's pics from Vegas.  She's the one in the Big White Headress - Showgirl Costume........The blonde guy is her boyfriend.  The rest are ballroom students or other ballroom instructors.

Rode my bike last night for about 1.5 hours on the trail.  Not sure of the distance - I'd say probably about 16-17 miles.  We parked in a different spot and it was hard to measure.....I hope it wasn't the last ride of the year.  It was cool out there.  I can probably squeeze in another ride or two if I bundle up!

B:  Granola bar and coffee  215

L:  Slaw, hash brown casserole, corn muffin, biscuit  600

Will need to keep calories down tonight.  Plan on doing ET for at least 30-45 minutes.  Since this last loss I feel like I'm headed out of the 160s and would like to burn more calories to keep me headed that way!

God bless - have a wonderful day.

UPDATE:

S:  Granola bar 90

D:  2 pieces leftover Pizza Hut pepperoni pizza - 500 maybe??

1405 calories and no exercise - church group

Progress as of today: 14.6 lbs lost so far, only 13.4 lbs to go!

tangalyn on 11/03/2010:

(Healthy Eating and Exercise)
Weight: 165.0

Haven't been able to get on much lately.  But I'm doing well.

I didn't have ANY candy on halloween, BUT I did have TWO pumpkin muffins with cream cheese icing.  I made them. They were regular size and I really did enjoy them.  Other than that food choices were good.

This past weekend was probably my last weekend to ride bike due to weather, but didn't get to.  Was involved in community service project with my professional organization and that took all day Saturday and needed to catch up on housework Sunday.  The project was painting outside and raking leaves, so I did get 6 hours of exercise doing that.

More later! Hope to check on your diaries and comment later.

B:  Apple, coffee 135

L:  Cornbread and chicken hash 225

S:  1 square dark chocolate and 10 almonds 150

Subtotal = 510

Book Club meeting tonight and we go out to eat - so I have lots of calories leftover to see me through........  :o)

D:  small salad and 1/2 rack ribs, roll -  700 (?)  probably

1210 Total cals - no exercise -

Progress as of today: 13 lbs lost so far, only 15 lbs to go!

just42day on 11/01/2010:
Those muffins sound amazing! Good for you w/your community work! :)

V on 11/01/2010:
LOl!!!! Yes there are alot of posts today that sound very similar,"I didn't eat candy BUT....Muffins are a healthier choice so great job Holly

Umpqua on 11/01/2010:

sweetpea1977 on 11/01/2010:
Good job on avoiding the halloween candy! Pumpkin cream cheese muffins sound tastier anyway! ;)

just42day on 11/01/2010:
mini pizza = bagel thin w/tomato sauce, basil + lf mozzarella + green/red/yellow peppers, onions + black olives. baked at 450 for 5-7 minutes. I freeze tomato paste in an ice cube tray. Once frozen, I put "cubes" in baggie and keep in freezer. Very convenient to use just as much tomato sauce as needed for cooking. Need 1 "cube" for each 1/2 bagel thin. quick & yummy! (Sweetpea gave me the suggestion to use bagel thin. I've also used mini flour tortillas for the pizza dough, too.)

Maria7 on 11/01/2010:
Your menu looks real good! :-)

hopingforhealth on 11/01/2010:
Way to go with the canday avoidance! But the muffins sound like a better choice, and delic to boot!. I think a splurge or two in moderation is ok. Enjoy the book club!

Maria7 on 11/02/2010:
Pumpkin muffins sound real good! :-D Hope you're having a wonderful day today, Hollybelle!

Weight: 165.0

Yesterday was updated.  I EXERCISED!  Thanks for the pep talks but I'll tell you right now sometime what I need is a kick in the butt! - from my friends!

Today so far:

B:  Pretzels and PNB - not too wonderful, but OK - and tea - 150

L:  1/4 turkey sandwich, carrot soup and apple 375

Tonight - exercise again.  Maybe chicken tacos for dinner??

Tomorrow - I am community outreach committee chair for my professional organization.  We are getting together to paint walls on a deck at a downtown daycare place......should be fun.  I hope enough people show up.  So that should be good exercise, too.

Progress as of today: 13 lbs lost so far, only 15 lbs to go!

Maria7 on 10/29/2010:
Wow...yes that should be real good exercise! Hope you have a real good turnout. Menu looks real good.

just42day on 10/29/2010:
Great job w/all your exercise and painting! :)

selina on 10/29/2010:
Great job with the exercise!

hopingforhealth on 10/29/2010:
Way to go with the exercise! Good job! It's such a struggle to do it when you really don't want to, so that's an achievement. The painting should be fun, and a great thing to do. Have fun!

V on 10/29/2010:
I expect the same from you too Holly!!! Have a good one :)

(Healthy Eating and Exercise)
Weight: 165.0

Cals were very low yesterday 1150.

Went to bed early - no motivation to walk or do ET.

I will do better on exercise today.  I must do it.  I would probably be AT MY GOAL if I had been doing more exercise this past month!  Exercise makes all the diff!

Not that I'm doing terrible, though, don't get me wrong.  I don't want to only concentrate on the negative things - I have been doing very well with calories and choices - even though I had a donut yesterday I ate it 1/2 at a time and I only had ONE.  This is HUGH!!  Well, actually it's SMALL (as in I will be SMALLER because of choices like this).  Seriously, it is HUGH that I had control of eating sweets!  No more "run - away train" feeling.  I can do it!

Today so far:

B:  coffee 75, apple  60 = 135

lunch is planned to be 1/2 turkey sandwich which I didn't eat yesterday and potato soup brought by a co-worker and another apple or grapes or both!

L:  1/2 turkey sand 150, apple 65, pretzels 65, potato soup 150 = 430

S:  almonds  80

D:  Mexican - grilled chicken quesadilla a few chips and salsa --700??

1345 Cal total

40 minutes on ET for EXERCISE!!   YAY!

Progress as of today: 13 lbs lost so far, only 15 lbs to go!

sweetpea1977 on 10/28/2010:
Holly! You better start exercising, or else! I miss hearing about your long bike rides and walks!! Come on, girl, you can do it!

Good work on the eating though. Im very impressed with your donut decision. I have a hard time eating just one, especially when they are from a local bakery. I LOVE the donuts from my hometowns donut shop....thank goodness I live 350 miles away from it! I only visit home once or twice a year, so its a real treat to stop by there and buy my two absolute favorites (bavarian filled and cream-filled). :)

Hope today fills you with inspiration to get back on track with your exercise!

KathyBlue on 10/28/2010:
it's difficult to get motivation for exercise everyday... you have to search for the ideal exercise which doesn't cost you a thing to get into and do on a regular basis :)

just42day on 10/28/2010:
Great job w/the 1 donut. Yeah! :)

loveray on 10/28/2010:
dont you love when the binge feelings are totally gone?! its awesome - i feel the same way, a coworker brought in a TON of halloween candy yesterday...i was able to look at it, take 2 tootsie rolls, walk away and genuinely not think about it for the rest of the day! its a true sign of healing and im so proud of you! xo

Maria7 on 10/28/2010:
You know what...I always feel really good, too, when I just indulge a little...like one honey-glazed donut (but I eat ALL of mine at one time, hehehe!) instead of giving in and having an all-out sweets fest! You are doing REAL REAL good. Hope you have a blesed day, Hollybelle! :-D

legcramps on 10/28/2010:
Have a great day today - I know you will!

getmebackto150 on 10/28/2010:
I will TOTALLY restore sanity and keep fear alive!!!!!

moogy on 10/28/2010:
I am pleased that you are feeling more in control of your eating, even by eating only a little donut and then stopping that is a really good sign that sainity has returned to your food choices and that is half the battle. Keep going.

hopingforhealth on 10/28/2010:
Way to go with the donut resistance! That can be so hard to do sometimes!

As for the working out, I was really struggling to get back in the workout zone after my vacation. After I sort of white knuckled it through about 3 full ones, I finally started to get back in the zone and really do it again. Maybe if you just force yourself through a couple, it will help?

V on 10/28/2010:
Hope you did well the rest of your evening, as far as the smoked turkey sausage, ever try them in red beans?? Gumbo?

V on 10/28/2010:
Oh forgot to post the web site for you www.miraclenoodle.com i have a few recipes if you want them, they are awesome in soups too!!!

V on 10/28/2010:
You can pan fry the sausage in some pam and add to your bowl that way the vegans can enjoy them too ;)

Maria7 on 10/28/2010:
Thats a lot of exercise! I thought about you and your one donut while Hubby and I were eating at GC while I ate 2 medium yeastrolls w a little honey butter (prob a little more calories but there was a time that I used to order 1/2 dozen large yeast rolls with lots honey butters and I had all but ONE with my meals at Golden Corral!!!)...and don't think I went overboard. Hope you're having a nice evening. :-)

I love broccoli salad :P do you use shaved carrots and raisins??? Ohh i bet it would be great with red wine vin and a little olive oil

hopingforhealth on 10/27/2010:
read below... congrats on the belt! Doesn't that loose clothing feeling feel great? I got into a pair of jeans that were too tight this week and it felt awesome. They're still the same size, but were a different cut that I could barely even get on for a while.

Weeeeee'rrrrrrreeeeeee Baaaaccccckkkkkk!

Ha!  As you all probably noticed wasn't too good about posting my menus and following up when the DD site was down, BUT.......that does NOT mean I have been doing anything but GOOD!  I'll have you all know I have worn a BELT two days in a row with my pants!  Most of my pants are very "roomy" and I am almost in some of my older/smaller ones.  This is amazing to me.  When I lost weight 3 years ago and was at my smallest (around 150) I wore a belt a couple of times.  I love it!  I feel so much less "bulky" when I wear a belt  I won't weigh for awhile yet.  No sense in getting obsessive (and you know I DO) so for now - the belts are back and I'm going to keep working on my exercise and healthy eating!

Yesterday ended with about 1200 cals and no real exercise, but the leaf raking I did the day before was good for a day or two, I guess.  If it doesn't rain tonight I'll ride bike if it rains then it'll be the ET.

D is off to Vegas later this morning!  She'll be back on Sunday.

Today so far:

B:  Coffee, 1 slice toast with jam  250

L:  6 Wheatable Crackers, 1/2 oz cheddar Cheese, Apple, Smoothie 405

S:  6 pretzels and 1 teaspoon pnb 75

S:  2 squares dark chocolate  100

D:  Rotisserie Chicken and broccoli Salad.  300

S:  Toast and Jam  100

1300 - added a few cals because I KNOW there was something I forgot.  No exercise - Poured rain and took me 1.5 hours to get home from a "quick" trip to the grocery.  Was so burned out.........tonight - 45 min ET!  YES!

Progress as of today: 13 lbs lost so far, only 15 lbs to go!

sweetpea1977 on 10/26/2010:
YAY! Congrats the belt. Thats awesome!!

getmebackto150 on 10/26/2010:
congrats on the belt... I totally get it... When I lost a lot of weight a few years ago, I wore a belt w/ my jeans, pants etc and LOVED it...

Umpqua on 10/26/2010:
Yay for needing a belt! I could use one with a couple of pairs of pants, but I rarely wear them since they cut me in half (I have no waist, you've seen how tall I am!) I hope you have an excellent day!

V on 10/26/2010:
yes Holly! it seems everyone is doing well despite our little break! Congrats on the pants being roomy, gotta love it :)

ahh, restoring massage! Wonderful! Mine wasn't that good. :(

Horn_Of_Plenty on 10/12/2010:
yep, massages are just the BEST. I wish i could have someone do that to me EVERYDAY! LOL.

i had a massage last week, and i still have a couple certificates for more. I plan to go back soon. I always go to the same person, and he is so wonderful. i have to admit, he probably does a little more "caressing" and massaging in areas where some people would not like...lower back and thighs (i used to not enjoy thighs but now i just go with it...) but he is GOOD. nothing sexual or inappropriate. but he surely knows how to give a good, relaxing, but practically sensual? massage.

are your massages like that?!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 10/12/2010:
I have had other masseurs in the past, and nobody compares to this guy. nobody. I think i've tried like 5 other people! he is the only one with actual skills/talent/ability to know exactly how to get the patient to relax.

I LOVE salmon patties...mackeral patties, too. Yes, I feel so glad about that room...it was a lot of work...I'd started on it a good while back but it was so much work I let it go for a while instead of seeing it through and finishing it. Today and yesterday it finally got done. What a relief.

You have been very good with your calories! :-D

Horn_Of_Plenty on 10/12/2010:
wow, that's great you can pay so little for something so relaxing and rejuvinating!

I'm glad you had a nice weekend despite your disappointing dinner out. I get to go out so rarely that my dinner BETTER be good when I do go :) I'm glad you made the soup and are enjoying it - I need to get a batch made during my Dad's visit. 20-mile bike ride, you go! I hope you have a great day.

liza36 on 10/11/2010:
It is real disappointing when you spend all that money for a nice dinner, and end up with horribly tasting food. The homemade muffins and soup sound good though. Have a good day!
