I can't believe calories were at least this reasonable!  No exercise except walking around downtown and at lunch.....better than nothing!....

I will update yesterday in a minute.  It was an OK day.  I was tired.  I only had a short (very short) walk with co-worker at lunch yesterday and I went to bed early.  Today I am ready to go again, though.  I got up and did 30 minutes on the ET and about 10 minutes on upper body weights.

 

Bike tonight??  Have small group at church until about 6:45, but I can be home by 7:00 for a good ride.  My hip feels quite a bit better.  Not a real exciting entry - just the facts and oh, the quote above.  What a nice thought.  Can anyone tell me why my entry is showign with dotted line under?  How do I get it off?

 

B:  Coffee  75

 

L:  2 Tacos Fresco 300

Updated yesterday - was a good day.  Low cals due to two previous days of big intake.  Got a 35 minute bike ride in - weather was wonderful.  Hip began hurting and didn't want to push it - will probably just walk tonight so I don't tax hip.  If I rest it a bit it will probably bounce back!

B:  Coffee, Grapes 175

I am hungry this morning so will probably have nice lunch and a snack.

Co-worker is going to start walking 15-20 minutes with me at lunch.  I'm glad - I think exercising will lift her spirits.  She's 62 years old and works hard!

L:  Pretzels, apple, 4" tuna from Subway, chips  = 555

Subtotal 730

D:  Grapes, a few marinated cucumbers, one small pot w butter, one BBQ pork chop, two slices of toast with buttter and honey  555 (Ha - same as lunch!)

S:  Kashi Bar w/pnb  180

1465 Cals (funny it felt like so much more calories than that)

exercise= one short walk 10-15 minutes max

Updated yesterday's entry for my exercise - check it out!  6 mile walk in 96 minutes!

Today B:  Coffee - not hungry today - probably because of all the Puppy Chow I ate yesterday, extra calories - that's oK  I'll be hungry later and I will eat.

L:  Tuna, crackers, squash casserole  350

D:  Couple of bites of chicken and cornbread, grapes 150

S:  Grapes 200 Triscuit Things 120 = 320

Total 895 (I think I probably ate something else, but can't remember it wasn't much - this is low because I took in a lot of calories the last two days and I really wasn't that hungry all day)

Exercise = Bike Ride 35 minutes - hip began to hurt a little - probably from all the walking yesterday - but it was a decent workout - weather was wonderful  

Progress as of today: 9.8 lbs lost so far, only 18.2 lbs to go!

Oh yeah, I totally understand the "puppy chow" fiasco now. I'd love that stuff too. That's why i'll never make it. Maybe I can coerce a friend to, though. :-0 !!!

Oh my, puppy chow! Yum! How in the world did you keep yourself from eating more? That stuff is addicting!!

Good job with the walk. 6 miles in 1.5 hours is awesome! Thats a great pace which burned a lot of calories!!

Well, I didn't even update yesterday.  Although I got in a lot of exercise I ate alot.  Nothing like cake, pies, cookies or desserts, etc. but was just hungry all day and didn't ever get over it or keep count.  I'd estimate 2200 calories.  But that's the first time in weeks (4-6??) I've gone much over 1500-1600, so I think it's OK.  Today is another day and I started with a pancake w syrup and a cup of coffee.  I have health stuff planned for the rest of the day, though.  And when it cools off later I'll ride again today!  Have a good one everyone.

B:  Pancake, syrup and coffee 300

L:  Tuna, tomato  150

S:  100 cal popcorn duh  100  

S:  Daughter made puppy chow - I ate 1/2 C  300??

D:  One FRIED chicken thigh from KFC, squash casserole, a few cucumbers with vingear and sugar and onions.....

Going to let supper settle and then ride bike or ET........Have done laundry all day and still bored!!!

 

UPDATE:   6 Miles - count 'em ladies - SIX  Miles Walk!!  96 minutes!!  I was "getting it"!

I actually think it's a good thing to eat more sometimes. And you were certainly very deserving of it...look how good you've been for weeks! :-)

As for pancakes with syrup...LOVE THAT! :-)

Updated yesterday - I managed to pull out 1715 calories for the day but no exercise.  I did get up and do 30 minutes on ET this a.m., though and plan to do 20-45 more minimum tonight.  I try not to pay too much attention to numbers but I noted I burned more than 200 calories this morning during the ET.  That's some good incentive there, girls!

I am having dinner with a friend and want to enjoy all - she and I have discussed splitting something as we heard the portions at the restaurant are big. The restaurant is an old train depot out in the country.

Today:

B:  Biscuit 100, Coffee 75 = 175 

L:  Pretzels 120, Arby's Jr. RB Sandwich, Diet Coke 250 = 370

S:  Protein Bar   110

D:  Nachos 200, cheese and crackers 175, smoothie 225 = 600

S:  4  triscuit things 160

Friend cancelled dinner :o(    but this way I will get to exercise early and maybe not be so tempted by menu food.  

Total Cals - 1415 Exercise 30 minutes on ET + 2 mile walk

Updated yesterday 1518 Cals and 3 mile walk

Today so far: 

B:  Oatmeal with a little FF vanilla Coffee Creamer, raisins and pecans 140, coffee 75 = 215

I made the carrot cake last night for co-worker's birthday (it was my turn to make a birthday cake) with cream cheese icing.  I did barely taste the batter and the icing as I made them (and I didn't count the calories in yesterday's totals - it was very very tiny - really) just to make sure they seemed mostly "right" as I haven't made a carrot cake in decades!  I plan to serve it and have a 3-5 bite-sized piece.  SIGH!  I can do it!  Carrot cake is not even my favorite.  I am still trying to save up calories for a mini blizzard at Dairy Queen before August is over!

L:  Carrots, grens, cornbread dressing!!, slaw  500

S:  Cake - TINY piece "to be social and to check out the taste" ( Ah, hem) - approximately 5 bites  350  :o(

Tonight I have book club, but plan to choose wisely and not go over my calories by much! 

subtotal 1065 - but I think I can keep it reasonable.....Will ride bike tonight, too.

Tomorrow night I am getting together with one of my oldest friends I haven't  seen in a couple of years she lives about an hour away and we are meeting for dinner in the middle at a restaurant I have wanted to eat at for a long long time!  I better ride a long time tonight and save calories tomorrow!!  Oh well, it's a challenge and there will be times like this!

UPDATE FOR THURSDAY NIGHT

Ate shrimp skewers at Applebees' - was on their "healthy" menu.  It was good.  I ate about 8 of the 15 shrimp and about 1/3 of the rice.  Instead of steamed vegetables that came with it I substituted a small salad w dressing on the side and only used 1/2 or less of it.  All was pretty darn tasty - the entire shrimp entree w the steamed vegetables was supposed to be 550 cals  so 1/2 would be 275 Plus 200 hundred for the small salad and dressing (I'm guessing) - so round up to 500 and that's pretty good.   500

Then I had a SMALL smoothie with husband at home 150

Total 1715 - pretty good.  I fell asleep on couch so no exercise.

Those mini-blizzards look so adorable on the commercial....... Tried a weight watchers latte bar last night...Ney, it wasn't what I expected, but @ $4 for 6, I'll eat them to satisfy the sweet crave occasionally I guess.....

L:  Stopped by a potential client's office around lunch time and caught them in - they invited me to lunch with them.  They were cooking out hamburgers and hot dogs.  I ate a hot dog with bun and took the Diet Coke, Fritos and Nutter Butter cookies with me.  I do not plan to eat the other stuff - wouldn't ordinarily eat a hot dog, but wanted to build rapport with them and it WAS delicious!  300
 

S:  1/2 snack bag of fritos 70 and ONE (1) Nutter Butter Cookie!!  Oh well, I LIMITED my intake of these items so I am proud of that!  132 Totall

D:  4 Triscuit Things 160  Smoothie  225

S:  Cheese and crackers 250

Total Cals 1514    Exerciose 3 mile walk
