Get home and eat the left over lasagna and a few pieces of garlic toast. Ended the day with 1277 calories. I am ok with this.

Was in bed at a decent hour only to get woken up by the dog itching and scratching about 2:30. I put some medicine on him and he stopped for awhile, but I didn't get back to sleep until 4:00. Therefore, I did not get up at 4:30 for zumba. Maybe I will be able to fit it in this evening.

DH drove himself today to get some preop work done at the lab, he was PO'd that his blood sugar was up this morning at 147. He is usally getting between 80-100. He attributed to the pasta and he said...no pasta for me in awhile. It was probably the combinatino of both bread and pasta.

So after I had all my vacation plans, DH's work says, he can't go on vacation in July when he was off for six weeks recovering from surgery. What the hell? Recovering from surgery and vacation are two different things. I hate his job! I hate the people he works for! They are just so totally out of touch with reality! I cancelled my Michigan trip...for now!

D: either turkey meatballs or something with ground beef, both are thawed.

Will get the girl tonight - no plans yet.

Friday, I picked up the girl and we stopped and got food DH ordered. I had a chicken, bacon, ranch wrap and some fries. I ending the day with 1240 calories.

DH was still in lots of pain and he mostly sat in his recliner most of the weekend. Saturday he went to the clinic and I had him take the girl too, as she was complaining about ear pain...again. The doctor gave DH some pain and muscle relaxer pills and the girl got amoxicillan, the go to antibiotic for kids. We decided to stay home instead of go out in the cold, colc air.

B: yogurt L: snacks - balanced breaks, gold fish and some cheese D: crockpot lasagna - turned out pretty good, cheddar biscuits greenbeans

After dinner I did decide to go shopping and the girl went with me - this I do not like. We got home a little before 10:30 - I went so late to avoid the lines and people. Ended Saturday with 1230 calories.

Sunday I made omelets and bacon for breakfast. Our breakfast was more like brunch so we didn't eat again until about 4:00, we eat early on Sunday because the girl goes home at 6:00. I made hamburger sliders - with brocoli tots and salad it was all good. I ended Sunday with 1311 calories. Did tons of laundry and cooked and waited on DH who felt better but I left him sit around.

Monday I was up at 4:30 for Zumba, I missed this over the weekend and will try to do some exercise on the weekends. I was surprised with DH said he was going to work. since the girl didn't like the crockpot lasagna, we will be having it as dinner tonight.

Still watching and waiting on the giraffe... Excited about my trip next week - Thinking about getting my hair cut and colored Making final arrangements for summer vacation work is work Dog is finally a little better. I finally just drenched him in coconut oil - it has helped lots. He still as one stubborn place on his leg that he keeps chewing on - I will cover him again.

With ear infection, also may have to do with her hygeine maybe?

I tend to get pimples on and off in outer (but inside) ear area when i do not shower and wash hair as often...i actually now use alcohol in my outer ear a dab i put there and then use q-tip which i DO NOT recommend to girlie as i wouldn't want to see her have a problem as my thing isn't the safest but it's keeping the pimples away for me...which isn't an ear infection i do realize!

GREAT idea for sliders as it's smaller...and therefore healthier portion!!! and you can also eat with loads of veggies which i would do!!!!!! you rock!

i plan to make some burgers soon too...in sizes that are good...i'll probably buy chopped meat for them..

She had been earlier to the doctor with the plugged ear. He used a syringe to get the caked up wax out. She doesn't use q-tips anymore. Then she gets fluid in her ears. This time it was just infected. Her tonsils were inflamed too.

Dog is still itching. I will bath him with epson salt and oatmeal or something. I can't figure it out.

Can't say for sure why I didn't post yesterday...maybe giraffe watching for way too long! I don't remember anything crazy happening....oh yes I do, I was helping someone at work do something...completely forgot about that.

Wednesday - I left work early for my follow-up eye appointment. My eye feels better but it is still red. The doctor was running behind of course and I was still sitting in the waiting room 45 minutes after my appointment time. The doctor looked at my eye for all of five minutes. I then went to get the girl, who also had her therapy appointment at 6:00 so we were rushing. We stopped at McDonald's for a family box. I spent most of the day concerned for my lethargic dog. The vet told me to give him some low dose aspirin if he was in pain. I still don't know why he's in pain. He wouldn't jump on the bed, he had a hard time climbing the stairs, my poor, poor baby. He is still itching also - I sprayed him down with my itch mixture.

DH was home we ate the dinner box - I took all the cheese and extra bun out of my burger and had like a small double cheeseburger and a small french fries. I ended Wednesday with 1903 calories....a little high for me.

Thursday - crazy day at work - helped the electronic technician with safety stuff - took most of my afternoon. Once I got home - my dog was acting like his normal self, which I am so thankful for. I still gave him another dose of the aspirin and sprayed him down with the itch mixture. He was much better this morning.

Ended Thursday with 1608 calories

I was up at 4:30 to do zumba this morning and it snowed three inches - last week it was 70! Got to work and DH texts me at 10:30 needing to go home. He was having back spasms. I left work and took him home. This angered me. I feel bad that it angers me. I wish I could be a better nurturer. Anyway DH is home, hopefully resting and I came back to work for a few hours. I will have to get the girl on my way home.

B: yogurt, iced vanilla latte

S: almond sweet and salty bar

L: ham and cheese wrap, orange, gold fish

S: apple, balanced breaks

D: we are going out - I usually get a chicken bacon wrap and will probably be ok with calories

A few plans over the weekend, but with DH's back messed up, plans could be skewed a bit.

(A note - I did not change my weight at the beginning of the year. I was so disgusted with myself and there comes a point in time when you just say NO MORE! My starting weight on January 1, 2017 was 328 pounds. Today the scale read 312.5. I am very happy with this and once again, when I get to 306, I will change the weight on DD. I just couldn't put the gain up theredue to my current mind set!) Getting excited about my OKC trip and can't wait to see my mom...I miss her!)

Don't worry - with calories in the 1900's, you will not gain weight. maybe not lose so fast, but you will def not gain at all....it's ok to have variations in your day's calories each week as it will keep your metabolism up.

Your calories Thursday are EXCELLENT for weight loss. If i were to eat like you did on Thursday with 1600 cals per take for a like one month straight, i'd lose probably 2-4 pounds definitely in that month.

Weightloss is math...more than anything...and finding GOOD SUBSTITUTES so you can eat and be full...but not gain weight.

I just bought tons of cheap but prepared veggies to last me well thru the weekend and into next week! (i work in Queens, NY so the options can be endless. and i work on a block loaded with ethnic caribbean and indian restaurants...i got lucky. and there's a GOOD supermarket...they just roasted up loads of veggies...so i bought them, made fresh right as I stepped in!!)

anyways, i'm happy for you.

as you continue your weight loss journey, it will become easier and easier bc you will see there are HUGE options in the world of healthy eating. huge options how to flavor and cook your food. def not boring! and you know...i love what you make!

i still want to make, still didn't do it yet, cauliflower fried rice.

I often feel resentful about my husband's poor health. It really has shifted our family dynamic as everything seems to revolve -- one way or another -- his health, whether it means that I can't exercise from 5:30a-6:30a when I want to because I have to help him with his socks and shoes, or if he's crabby because he's in a lot of pain, or if he makes himself a pizza (after eating the panchki that my daughter was saving for tonight) when he's supposed to be trying to lose 50-60 pounds...

Picked up DH and he cooked. Dog did NOT want to walk. I mixed a anti-itch dip from facebook (ACV, camomille tea, green tea, water and I added some coconut oil) to spray on my dog. He loved the massage he was getting. It helped some, but he is still itching. When I reached down to pick him up, he yelped. I couldn't find anything wrong with him so not sure about that. The YA came over for a bit, but didn't stay long. Ended the day with 1320 calories.

Storms woke me up about 2:00 last night, i got up and my little dog was whining. I checked him out again and couldn't find anything wrong with him. I checked on the giraffe and made sure the weather wasn't escalating and went back to bed. My little dog just layed there and shivered. I covered him up. This morning I didn't get up for Zumba. The early morning rustle did nothing for my energy. I turned off the alarm and slept until 6:10. Eating breakfast my little dog was just lying there. I checked on him and he hardly moved. If he isn't better when I get home, he is going to the vet. I cannot stand my dog being in pain and I don't know why.

Oh, so you do not know why your dog isn't well? I hope it is figured out soon, no good.

There's all kinds of new ways to make pancakes...healthy...like protein pancakes if you use egg whites...filling and low cal...or to use a banana - but i don't love that method...i do like to grind some oats and use them - makes the pancake fluffy....

My dog would NEVER have fleas! I take care of that dog better than my DH or the girl! I couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. He was squawking about his left shoulder, maybe he ran into the doggie door coming in the house or something. The vet told me to give him low dose aspirins to alleviate some pain. He was better last night and this morning. I was so relieved.

Picked up DH and we had left over chicken lasagna and chicken. I attempted to walk my dog, but he is just not having it. Poor little guy. He is so scared these days. Ended the day with 1157 calories.

Spent most of the evening watching a live feed of a pregnant giraffe. What the h$ll is wrong with me?

Dh invited the YA over for dinner tonight, he said he would come. I think they have decided to go to the CLE car show this weekend, not sure if the girl will go or not. Still trying to find out if she got to go to the swim park on Saturday, she has been very quiet the last few days on the messenger.

Work is ok, just ok, I hope things pick up with the new month. I will have two weeks until my OKC trip. Getting so nervous; excited!

I did get up and do the zumba DVD BUT I had a pazki at work today for Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday! Oh well it will sit there I am not taking it home.

I will try to walk my dog again, I need him to get out of his funk. I will not let anything happen to him again. Poor little guy.

Lost my curser again. This hasn't happened in a long while. So an interest weekend. Friday had a total blowout - total calories for the day was 3138 - OMG DH's son stopped by and visited for awhile and then headed home. DH is so estatic when the YA (Young Adult) drops by without an invitation. It was a nice visit.

Saturday DH was up early and went to work. I got up about 8:00. Stripped the beds and started laundry. Scrubbed the bathrooms and started a pot roast. Started watching April the giraffe and am totally engrossed in the birth process there - even more so than the Eagles in Florida. OMG it's just nature, but so interesting too. B: cheerios L: cheerios D: pot roast, cauliflower and salad S: gold fish, yogurt After dinner, DH and I went shopping. We met the YA at SAM's to change over the membership. I never ever go, so DH put the YA on his membership. Then we get back home and the YA stays around again, I really think he just missed his dad the last four years. He made his car payment and all is good. Ended the day with 1260 calories

SUNDAY - The YA turns 19 today, he had plans with his other family members...not his mom - they are still fighting. We tell him not to let time pass and to mend fences with her by the YA says she didn't even wish him a happy birthday - this is so sad. B: crumpetts, peanut butter, iced vanilla latte L: beef sticks, brioche buns D: chicken lasagna, salad Lots of laundry today, watched the giraffe most of the day - still no calf :( Ended the day with 1440 calories

On a better note, I am down three more pounds and was really excited this morning stepping on the scale. I was working on vacation plans over the weekend. We have decided we are going to Pure Michigan. We are going the end of July so DH's knee should be ready to go!

I boldly invited the YA this morning. I haven't heard back from him, but hoping he will come as well.

Monday at work...not the finest hour.

we are doing tourist things. Going to a lodge in Interlochen and stopping by the sleeping bear dunes. On the way home we are staying at a water park in Frankenmuth. It is a five day four night trip. Looking forward to it.

I am sorry you struggled during the weekend. Maybe to make you feel better - I have been struggling also to keep cals down the way I was earlier this fall and winter. Lately, my cals are always in the 2,000's for weekly avg instead of 1800's...big change and trying not to gain weight from it since it's been this way for over a month now.

One day will not cause too much damage, even at 3,000 cals. just try to get back on your horse ASAP. have faith in the process, you are doing GREAT.

I read further - GREAT CALS after the blowout. you rock, you got this!

D: chips and salsa, beef chimichanga, chicken chimichanga, re fried beans, guacamole

Ate too much, feel sick and now ...revisiting the red peppers and wilted lettuce = NASTY!!

Haven't calculated calories yet but pretty sure it's way over!

Only did the 35 minute Zumba DVD today

I sent DH a recipe for Australian Chicken - It has bacon, cheese and some mustard sauce with mushrooms...he made it while I walked the dog. It was pretty good, except for the sauce, he said the instructions said to serve the sauce chilled...uh NO it would have been better heated. Ended the night with 1442 calories.

Woke up about 4:15 sweating - maybe a hot flash at night, I don't know, but I stayed up and did the 55 minute zumba DVD. I will probably look for another set of zumba DVDs.

I told DH to leave a few items out of my lunch to reduce calories - leave out - the breakfast protein bar 160 calories and leave out the individual size bag of gold fish - 200 calories. I asked him to replace them with an orange and some baby carrots and hummus (approximately 195 for both) Yeah...he left out the things, but didn't put the new stuff in....so I will be super hungry at dinner.

B: yogurt, iced tea

S: apple

L: ham, cream cheese wrap

S: balanced breaks

D: salisbury steak...I think

Sounds like a good day except for the lack of lunch substitutes. This was me yesterday --- didn't pack raw vegetables for the afternoon. OMG I was about ready to start biting other people's nails...

Yeah those goldfish are stinky. lots of artificial stuff. you're better off with veggies or crackers that aren't as processed...or fruit or nothing..! you are RIGHT. oh...now i read what you want them replaced with - GOSH YES! you done so good lady. PERFECT replacements and so healthy!!!

maybe you can get something during work...or....on the way home, have a snack to calm you before dinner or drink seltzer on your ride home...these are things i do to suppress my appetite - when i wasn't able to snack right as i like to during day...

Left work, picked up DH and then went to get the girl. DH had his first therapy appointment and we were running behind. We stopped at subway and then dropped DH off for his appointment. The girl and I went home and talked. She talked about her step sister taking her and others to Kalahari this weekend (the water park in Sandusky). She talked nonstop for an hour. The stepsister is relying on her tax return to take seven kids to the water park ($69) a pop and then buying them all matching shoes. My girl is overly excited and I just hope the plans work out or else she will really be disappointed. I don't think I have ever received my tax return earlier than I anticpated. Oh well, I will worry about this next week, hopefully she does get to go.

We picked up DH from his appointment, I thought he would be upset but he wasn't which is a good thing. He came home and ate and the girl took a shower and i was telling him all about the plans for this weekend and all he says is, I hope she gets to go.  After the girl left DH went to take a shower. This is all well and good, except he didn't mention the fact that he was going to shave. I always get shell shocked when DH shaves off his facial hair, usually I require a warning. Last night I didn't get one...I will miss that beard! And it hurts when it grows back.

Finished Tuesday with 1450 calories.

I woke up on my own this morning about 4:25 - 5 minutes before the alarm was set to go off. I get up and do the Zumba DVD it is 55 minutes long. I just love this. I find it easier to exercise in the mornings. If I tell myself I am going to wait until the evening, it usually does not happen because...life! I keep getting up to exercise  because of the flight in three weeks. Getting nervous. I have been refining my toast and I am not a good speaker in front of people so this makes me nervous too! I haven't seen the scale move, but my clothes fit differently and I am able to hook my bra using the last row of fasteners...this I am happy about and will keep getting up for zumba. Was thinking of starting the C25K on 3/1/17 or maybe wait until I get back from my trip.

Seems for this week it's just about me & you making our daily rounds on DD ;) I'll always post here as long as this site is around :-)

Great calories girlfriend. The more cardio i do, the easier it's been to control my weight. So nice job including your daily exercise.

Tax returns are cool these days (last year starting) for me - when i go, i get it direct deposit to my checking account within the week i went there. It's very fast with me signing the eform and getting everything done very quickly. Last year was the first year i did this direct deposit and it was SO EASY. Highly recommend - in addition to the e-filing i do with my accountant. By doing it this way, I know i'll get the money back to me shortly after the visit to drop off my tax paperwork.

I hope the girl gets to go also. That would be such a fun trip plus a new pair of sneakers :-) I hope they don't wear the new shoes around the water park though - bc they'll be ruined!

Lol...i recommend kissing him when his skin is extra soft & no hair! :)

My dad also does morning exercise so then whatever life throws at him during the day doesn't affect him getting his workout in. It's a good plan for you. As for myself, I cannot wake up so early to exercise bc i have tried it at two different points in my life and the lack of sleep and early wakeup was causing me to get very emotional and depressed. It didn't work for me personally, but i know many that it does work for.

I want to tell you to remain positive and confident about your toast. It was great what you wrote and I am fully supportive and know you will do a GREAT JOB. Remember that many will have drank a cocktail or two before you speak and that everyone is there to have a GOOD TIME and NOT judge you. They want you to do a good job, so, enjoy yourself. Enjoy the moment of being happy for her.

Also you are well-prepared in advance for giving this speech. You worked on it and at it and made sure to have it ready. You gave it your attention and heart. Please remember she asked you to speak bc she loves you and wants you in her life and especially on this special day....so when you speak, remember that this is a special moment for not only her and her wife, but for you! Please remember to enjoy doing this - and maybe this will calm your nerves. Also, not a bad idea to have one drink like an hour before if you do drink - just to calm you....but def don't give it while drunk! oh my...i want you to do a GOOD JOB! Happy for you!!

Also - i know you cook - i am having so much fun cooking now. I made, for the first time lol, my own turkey burgers last night - i didn't really flavor them - beyond some garlic and curry spice - but still...i am so happy i am cooking a bit. saves so much $$$ too!

Oh the weekend I miss you all ready.

DH was up and gone by 6:30. The girl and I was up at 8:00 and out the door by 8:30 to meet up with her brother to get the title transfer completed. We had breakfast at McDonald's. We went first to the only title office open in the North East Ohio area (or so it seemed). It wasn't even the first of the month and I thought we would be in and out, yeah, that didn't happen. It took over an hour.. The clerk gave us some wrong information and had us stop by the e-check place to ensure the car was not emitting bad stuff into the ozone - this was not necessary as the current e-check was good until July. Wasted 30 minutes there. Finally we get to the DMV and get the tags. Another hour wait. When we finally finished and after $158 and some change it was going on 11:00.

I told DH the girl and I would come and bring him lunch and we had lunch from KFC. DH wanted to try the Tennessee Hot chicken and I had the Georgia Gold. We met DH at his work and had a little impromptu picknic and I can't belive it was almost 70 degrees out in February. After lunch the girl and I went shopping for some things. She wanted to make cake pops. We got everything except the candy melts. After dinner we went for the candy melts.

B: McDonald's biscuit, egg, bacon

L: chicken strips, biscuit

D: beef tips and noodles, brocolli tots and green beans - ending the night with 1804 calories.


Laundry and cleaning

B: crumpett, peanut butter, iced vanilla latte

L: pizza from Sams

D: steak, salad, potatoes

S: yogurt, 2 cake pops

The girl took most of the cake pops home - thank goodness. Ending the day with 1359 calories


DH left for work about 7:30. I stayed in bed until 8:30. I had plans to get a perm, but changed them. I just couldn't bring myself to sit in the stylist chair for over two hours. I walked my dog instead.

B: crumpett, peanut butter, iced vanilla latte

L: balanced breaks; yogurt

D: chicken fried rice and lettuce wraps with hoisin sauce, watter chestnuts and green onion.

S: yogurt

Relaxed a little and DH's son came over for about 2 hours. We gave him is birthday stuff. He showed me all the new stuff he did to my old car. He takes better care of it than I did. Ended the day with 1610 calories.

Tuesday yucky work, but I will get through this day.

I was up three or four time during the night. I just thought I was over sleeping, was hot, then cold. Listening to DH breathe as loudly as possible, snore, fart and hog the covers was just too much. I had to leave. I was downstairs at 4:00 doing my zumba.

B: yogurt

S: breakfast bar, apple

L: left over rice, gold fish

S: balanced breaks

D: subway.

DH has an appointment for the therapist and we are eating subway.

lol to your biscuit (YUM i know how good those taste you make me sorta crave it even though i'm mad full!)...and lol to the crumpet...i dont think they are so great...they are just like moist right? when you buy the packaged ones.

nice baking with girlie it's def an asset to be able to bake....and especially to COOK once older. I"m not good, but learning...saves so much $ is the cool thing.
