Picked up DH and the girl. Didn't have much to say to her as I am still mad over something she did during vacation. We talked to her about it, I talked to her about it, but she still don't get that she is one nasty little heifer!

Her mom did not do her hair, so I told her I wasn't doing it either for her to go back to her mom's hair and do whatever it is they do over there. We pick her up on Friday. I will do her hair then and again while she is with us for the next week. This is the last one for the summer so I am glad.

DH and girl walked the dog. Mom and I washed dishes.

D: grilled chicken, mashed caulifower, baked beans, jello

Ended the day with 1626 calories. I would like to be below 1500 so I am getting better.

Mom swept the stairs to the basement and then swept the basement in front of the washer and dryer. This I have meant to do several times, but just don't get to it.

Today, I have an appointment for the MRI of my pituitary gland. I hate that stupid machine. And then I will have to drive home in freaking crazy traffic.

B: toast, iced vanilla latte

S: protein bar

L: chicken sandwich, chips, banana, gummy fruit

D: I have no idea yet

yum to your mashed cauliflower. do you add garlic? so good. i may have asked you this before. you know what? I'm going to start making mashed cauliflower. should have done this a LONG time ago. I have a blender and all.

is the jello you eat sugar free? i highly recommend if you don't mind artificial sweeteners. it's just so low calorie & filling with a meal. i usually eat a few at least of them.

healthy eating today ! you rock.

Got DH and got home, today mom was out in the backyard string up a climbing morning glory and pruning the rose bush.

D: grilled turkey burgers with zucchini caprese (basil, mozzerella and tomatos)

S: klondyke bar

Mom did go with me to walk the dog.  Finished the day with 1717. Still higher than I like, but I can do without some things I've been eating.

B: toast, iced tea

L: left over turkey burger, chips, motts fruit snack

S: someone a$$hat brought in homemade ice cream. I had a spoonful of cookies and cream and brownie caramel - they brought in four hand packed pints, so I really didn't eat that much.

D: some kind of chicken and....

We have the girl child today. Really, really not looking forward to this evening. I did sign us up for a class (introduction to meditation) however, I do not know if we will make it or not. If we do NOT I am supposed to treat this girl's hair again. Not what I want to do!

it's ok to have a few bites...but i find it easier to not have any usually...because any small taste leaves me wanting more...instead i reach for sugar -free drinks and other snacks - i like to find alternatives to the heavy-sugar items...

i still love my chips though...

sounds like it's ok having your mom with you?

and if it's only 1717, that's a really good total, honestly!

man, i love those klondike bars....

Got home, mom had swept and mopped the dining room and swept part of the garage. I had swept and mopped before I left...not to her standards I guess. She said she would relax, yeah ok right!

D: london broil steak (about 5 ounces), brussel spouts and rice pilaf.

S: Mom passed out Klondyke bars - she doesn't know lol. Ended the day with 1904 calories.

DH walked the dog, I should have went with.

B: toast, iced tea

L: turkey swiss on multi-grain bread, cheese doodles, banana

S: mott's fruit gummies

 

Not wanting to see the girl tomorrow. Somedays I just want to go away and hide.

I survived vacation...barely! Got back from OK with mom in tow! Let's just say this will be interesting with mom in the house.

It was a very long drive, I saw tons of people and visited with old friends and three and half days was just not enough, but four days in the car was enough for anyone...ever!

I rode the bike last night and let it fall over on me in the driveway. The handle bar hit me on the soft part of my hand between the thumb and index finger...ouch and the pedal scraped down my shin. Very sore this morning. I got up ok though and made it to work to find a big fat mess! Oh the joy of job security.

B: fresh fruit parfait (blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, yogurt & granola), iced vanilla latte (DH made it, I drank it) but this is reserved for the weekends.

L: left over grilled pork chop, chips, banana

S: string cheese and almond/walnut 100 calorie pack

I didn't see what DH took out for dinner.

It will be interesting to see what my parental unit did to my house when I get home.

oh yes, having an extra person(s) in your home can def make for interesting times...i would have some troubles too having company over in general whether it be weekend / weekday / during a workweek / during vaca. it's hard either way...

Sorry about your bike accident!....

nicely done on the fresh fruit. for me, i cannot have fruit as a meal - too much sugar... and i get hungry right after...so usually i may have fruit as a snack like an hour before a meal or after a bigger meal...or between meals...i have learned that eating carbs after the meal makes the blood sugar spike less which is great...and better for you...

your snack of cheese and nuts sounds good...you can even try for 1 and not the other next time or have the snack with a coffee / seltzer / no cal drink....

i am trying to give you tips on how to cut calories / lose weight & i hope you don't mind - i get pleasure out of helping others...especially in the weightloss / meal planning / calories category.

i have over a decade of experimenting on myself!

Did not do any of my chores...

I walked the dog

DH left to get to pick up his prescriptions and get a hair cut and brought home BK, what is wrong with this man?

There is a pork roast he has to do something with tonight or else it is going in the trash, I doubt it will last until we get back. Lots of packing still to do.

I'm having issues with missing my dog already and we haven't even left. He was watching DH put clothes in the suit case and he was just sitting there...he knows!

B: toast with little butter, water

S: protein fruit and nut bar

L: turkey and swiss sandwich, sunchips, gummy fruit

D: the pork roast and cauliflower and corn on the cob.

I have had little diet dr. pepper this week. more water.

Tuesday left work to get DH an annivsary present - 2 years - they have been good ones. I picked him up some new bathing trunks and a matching tshirt. He wanted new swim trunks for vacation. And they were on sale for $5.00 so WIN!

At Olive Garden we ate two bowls of salad (light on the dressing) and I did have two bread sticks. We ordered an appetizer (calimari and stuffed mushrooms) I had one stuffed mushroom because they were raw, I thought they cooked them before stuffing them and red bell peppers were included, so that one was it! I did have a few bites of the calimari, but that too seemed cold and DH ate the majority of it.

I had a few bites of my entree (steak gorgonzola fetticini or alfredo) but I only ate like 1/4 of it and took the rest home. It was a nice night.

Wednesday

Picked up DH and picked up the girl and went home. Well DH didn't want to cook, so the girl ate Burger King and we had Subway.

B: blueberry bagel with cream cheese

L: left over steak and pasta

D: 6 inch subway ceasar

After dinner DH and I spoke with the girl about the laundry incident and her attitude is like if I ignore it, it will go away. I told her I would show her how to use pads, but again, she just shrugs it off. We told her this will be with her for the next 40-50 years or so, again, we get the look, with OK, just leave me alone. And then she goes and takes a shower!

We walked the dog and rode the bicycles and then her mom came and took her away.

Tomorrow if I make it through the day, we are going to pick up the rental car and get it loaded up.

Saturday, DH has to work until noon and then he is coming home. We are taking Steve to the trainer's for boarding and then we are headed out. Excited!

We are driving to Effingham, IL to stay the night. We are going to the Gateway Arch, St. Louis the next morning and then driving to Ozark, MO for dinner at Lambert's (they throw rolls there) and then we are driving on into Oklahoma City! Can't wait to see my mom. I have been talking to her, so she knows the plan. She is coming back to stay with us to Ohio to get away from the extreme hot in OKC.

B: blue berry bagle with cream cheese, iced tea

S: protein fruit and nut bar

L: ham and cheese sandwich, sunchips, nectarine

D: pork chop, cauliflower and corn (we need to eat these so they will not ruin while we are away)

I have a few more chores to do before mom gets to my house, so I'll be sweepting and mopping and dusting tonight and then making up the guest room bed.

Happy 2 years to you!

Olive Garden does i think have a lighter menu. And yeah, those breadsticks are to die for GREAT! I like the veggie soup there....and fish dishes i like too. all the food at Olive i think is pretty tasty.

she might be embarassed to talk about her situation in front of a MAN. When i was first getting my TOM (period), i wouldn't even want my dad seeing my bras hanging to dry. my mom would keep everything hanging in the hallway & I was always embarrased of that. some girls really have a rough time in adolescence. you may need to talk with her more privately next time.

HOPE THE CHORES GO BY FAST....AND I WOULD LOVE TO EAT ALL YOUR VEGGIES!

Dinner last night was grilled chicken and shrip with brocolli and cauliflower. It was really good. I think the shrimp was a tad overcooked but they tasted good.

DH walked the dog and I stayed and baked. I baked a flan chocolate cake thing for work for tomorrow (Wednesday). It has to chill overnight so it will chill two nights.

Tonight is my two year anniversary. I think DH said he wanted to go to Olive Garden, I'm ok with this as I eat lots of salad..without the dressing or very little of it. The entree will be eaten tomorrow for lunch/dinner.

I snuck out at work and bought a 'cotton' annivesary gift. DH was saying he wanted a new bathing suit for vacation, so I bought that and a shirt to match. I also wrote him a sappy poem, so it will all be good.

For some reason, work is crap this week and everything seems to be due at the same time. Maybe it's just because I won't be here next week.

I will walk the dog.

my fave meal at the olive garden is some kinda light seafood stew...has shrimp, muscles i think, and scallops in a nice tomato / vegetable stew with lots of veggies and spinach too! amazingly good and healthy!

Gross post to follow so don't read if you get grossed out... and this is my life!

So last week we had the girl. I spent the week playing chauffer driving her to camp and DH to work and trust when I say this does get super old.

Wednesday I left work early to get my hair cut and piddle around the house, I did have to leave to go pick the girl up from camp and get the DH. When I picked the girl up I noticed a peculiar smell, that which I haven't smelled in a very long while. It was the period smell. I had a uterean ablazion done in 2012 and gladly to say I do not have a period, this procedure was a god send! Anyway I didn't say anything, thinking Ok, we have had this discussion and she will surely take care of things. And it dawned on me that she said she didn't feel like swimming on Tuesday, so yes I deduce she is having her period.

Later that evening, after the little girl used the bathroom, my DH just happened to go in there afer her and he must have smelled the same thing. And bless his heart (this just makes me love him all the more) He asked her, are you having your time of the month? she replies no. He says, well ok, I'm smelling it and I don't see any trash, are you flushing the pads down the toilet? She again replies NO, He says, well, please don't ever do this, it will clog the pipes and we would have to call a plummer out. She replies OK and that conversation is over. 

So Thursday and Friday come and go, and Friday she goes swimming and then her mom comes and picks her up Friday evening and a big sigh of relief was had by me.

On Sunday I start doing laundry and get finished and mention to my DH that the girl only had 2 pair of panties in the wash, surely she didn't just wear two pair all week. I wondered if she was throwing them away, so DH and I go into her room and find all kind of dirty clothes and the nasty stained panties. I so disgusted with this little person, it is hard to not yell and scream at her. I even asked her to bring me all her dirty clothes, apparently she just brough the ones she thought I needed. So, so mad!

Saturday we go on vacation. I am happy to be away from work BUT I am dreading the long drive. I have been stressing over vacation and not really counting calories.

I haven't been eathing god awful which is a good thing, so I can safetly say I probably will just enjoy vacation and not stress over food. I'm not going to pig out, but I'm not pulling out the phone and logging everything either. My mom will see my weight gain and will let me know all about it.

Have the house to clean, my mom is coming and she will let me know about how I don't clean very good either so lots of cleaning to do.

I will be 49 next week, so I will have a mission to not be fat and 50! I feel so old.

Wow I would have been soo mad. You would think she would have done her own laundry if she was worried about the stains or thrown then out so gross ugh. Anyways glad to hear my mother will bother me even when I'm 49 :-( I'm almost 32 and feel like a child because she hates diets and hate fatness ugh can't win. Hang in there that's great progress

We went to the book sale and bought DVDs go figure. We walked the dog and had the turkey burgers. Had more calories because of the donuts. 2148.. BAH!

Wednesday - we had tickets to see a play at the Oberlin summer fest - Anne of Green Gables - it was packed and hot and we didn't have very good seats and it was not the normal type of play we usually see so we didn't sit through all of it.

I left work before noon and went and had my hair chopped off. It is shorter than I like, but it will grow back and it is cooler now that it isn't on my neck.

B: toast, iced tea

L: tuna, cottage cheese, grapes,

S: gold fish

D: chicken ranch wrap and I ate some french fries

went to the play and lef tearly. Got home and washed the girl's camp shirts while she walked the dog.

Thursday

Tickets tonight to see James and the Giant Peach - these tickets we had to pay for so, boring or not we will stay. I read the book years ago and hope the girl likes the play.

work is crap!

B: donuts...

L: tuna, cottage cheese, grapes

S: balanced breaks

D: some kind of pork...not really wanting pork for dinner.

Picked up the girl and then DH - headed home to a noneventful evening.

Grilled tilapia with kale salad. Fresh strawberries and blackberries with a maple whipped cream - very good. Total calories for the day 1327. We walked the dog and road bikes around the block. Fat @sses and bike seats do not make a good pair. Slept ok, but up again with the dog. My dog runs outside and barks at stuff. My greatest fear is that he will be sprayed by a skunk again and run all through the house and into my bedroom after it happens, ergo I get up with him and head him off at the door...just in case. I stayed up for about 1.5 hours and went back to bed.

B: fresh fruit parfait, with granola

S: banana

L: tuna, cottage cheese, crackers

S: balanced breaks

and to the jackhole who brought the donuts, I really hate you...not one but two

D: turkey burgers

book sale tonight and that is all, must get a walk in! Have a great night.
