Weight: 316.6

Had a relaxing day. Finished the laundry and stayed in with the 6 degree weather, even my dog didn't want to go out, with is jacket on.

B: granola with milk

L: ham and cheese on flat bread

D: spaghetti with turkey and marinara sauce.

I eneded the day with under 1500 calories, which is OK, but I still need to get some exercise in.

Thanks for all the fruit and vegetable suggestions. I try believe. I just me can't tolerate most fruit. I can't even stand the smell of most of it, it has to do with a lot of mymilitary background and situations surrounding the fruit so It is a struggle to eat it. I try. Vegetables are much easier fo me.

Today was a good day off so I am mentally prepared to go to work tomorrow.

I did delete the Candy Crush time suckers off my phone again. Will see how I spend these new found hours of time tomorrow.

Have a great evening.

Progress as of today: 5.3 lbs lost so far, only 16.6 lbs to go!

grannyannie on 01/19/2016:
Good calorie count. Isn't there any fruit you like? If not, veggies are really good and so many varieties.

cybermom4 on 01/19/2016:
Good job on your calories!

Weight: 316.6

Oh Sunday, you break my heart!

Sat around all morning watching Law & Order, addiction of mine. Showered left the house and did the horrible shopping, house is replenished with lots of good food. DH had a bout with diarrhea and didn't want to be far from a toilet so the snow and the toilet kept us a home again! But I did lots of walking around Sam's club. Tomorrow no work, no family for the daytime. I will play a DVD and get up and move a little bit.

B: white chocolate, macadamia nut breakfast bar, iced  vanilla latte

L: slice of cheese pizza from Sam's club, bigger than I wanted to eat but I counted the entire 410 calories

D: scrambled eggs, sausage patties and biscuits. Another bad choice and again, counted all of those calories 1,025...so I went over today by 295 calories ending up at 1958. I haven't hate this bad in awhile but we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast for dinner.

Didn't get laundry downstairs and/or started so that is scheduled for tomorrow.

Guess I will be routing for the Broncos, this year! Have a great Sunday evening all!

Progress as of today: 5.3 lbs lost so far, only 16.6 lbs to go!

grannyannie on 01/17/2016:
We love Law and Order SVU!

I've noticed you don't eat many veggies or fruits. Adding them would be a good idea. I find a huge salad an hour before dinner is very filling and lessens my appetite for dinner.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 01/18/2016:
Have a nice day off tomorrow! I have a suggestion similar to Grannyannie...have healthy food around your house (hopefully you do now after food shopping) so that instead of the dinner you had, you can eat healthier. maybe instead of biscuits, have unlimited fruit. That would save you lots of calories. and instead of sausage, just the eggs. or Instead of eggs, just the sausage. or egg whites, tons, with a little sausage and fruit.

you can actually eat MORE for less calories if you make good choices. Take it from me - my meals are sometimes enormous. Way more than most people eat in one sitting.

Weight: 316.6

The great dog Steve wok me up about 1:30 this morning and I fell asleep in the recliner until about 4:00 when I finally went up to bed , just to be awoken at 6:00 to ensure DH gets out the door to get to work on time. I then slept until 9:00, which is a good time for me. After that I didn't do much of anything, lots of TV.

B: white chocolate macadamia nut cereal bar and iced vanilla latte

L: white chocolate macadamia nut cereal bar

D: pork roast and mash potatoes

S: pretzels and russian sauce

Total calories for the day 1473. The cereal bars were 200 a piece and they were good and filling.

DH got home from work and started a fire, so here it is now....nice comphy fire.

Tomorrow is grocery day, we have few fresh vegetables in the house, so will need to replenish those. We do have a hike scheduld tomorrow, but the snow is also scheduled to come in, we will see how this works out. Laundry must also me started.

Enjoy your Sunday! 16 days and no candy, cookies, sweetness that I usually have. I can do this!

Progress as of today: 5.3 lbs lost so far, only 16.6 lbs to go!

Good calories. Well done on no sweets!

Congrats on the 16 days off the sugars. Have a great day and good luck with the hiking hope the snow holds off.

Weight: 316.6

I have work to do! This makes me estatic, as the last two jobs I had, I mostly sat and waited on something to do. Now, for however long it lasts, I have work which makes the days go by faster, I am thankful.

DH had another appointment today to get his knee checked out. The orthopaedic recommended a consultation with a surgeon, that is schedule next Thursday. He does have a torn meniscus so I guess his knee really does hurt, I will ease up on him...I guess. And the beautiful soul did bring me a DDP to my office before he went to work. I do have to ask myself why I'm so mean to him.

So the little girl make a comment last night that MLK Jr. day  was her dad's holiday and ask if he was going to pick her up. He told her he had to work. She went on to say that her mother didn't help her with her homework or do anything with her, so since I am off on Monday I may go pick her up and do some things. I haven't quite decided yet.

Looking forward to this glorious three day weekend! It seems to arrive just when I need a must needed break! I think it was done on purpose!

B: Special K, milk, iced vanilla latte

s: yogurt fruit and nut protein barr

L: maple ham, swiss, pickles on honey berry wheat bread

S: string cheese

D: left over baked chicken and some kind of vegetable.

If I still to the plan I will have 1608 calories for the day! Hope a big huge craving doesn't come along

Bring on the weekend! Enjoy. IP

Progress as of today: 5.3 lbs lost so far, only 16.6 lbs to go!

What a day! I was tempted not once but twice by the Krispy Kreme donut box on the break room table. I walked in there to check and see if all my scratch off tickets were found (from I teambuilding exercise I came up with)  and there it was. I opened the box to see if there was any left and they looked so fresh and good. Those sweet little, succulent, moist, gooey, drops of heavenly goodness. I walked away like a BOSS!! I told myself I could eat this donut and then feel guilty afterwards and I've been doing so good. So I went back to my desk and ate the lemon meringue greek yogurt I brought! VICTORY for me! The second time I went in there to talk to my boss and they didn't even phase me.

Left work and picked up the little girl. We did simplifying fractions today for homework. This I remember.

Went back and forth on whether to drive to New York (7-8 hours) or to buy the plane ticket. My boss said I could drive, if I wanted. Then someone else said, there is tons of traffic and you have to cross the George Washington bridge and if you don't hit it at the right time you could be stuck on it for hours! And then though I work at the National Weather Service somehow I do not have any confidence whatsoever in what the weather would do. I was told I could drive the Suburban with 4 wheel drive, but that still didn't win me over, because that is like the hugest thing ever...in tons of traffic...and I don't know where I'll really be going, so I guess I will fly, in the plane, hoping I don't die of embarrassment asking for a seat belt extender. OMG I have done it before, flying back and forth from Oklahoma to Ohio, but just thinking about it makes me so sad, that I haven't stuck to any weight loss plan I started before. One man's sunset is another man's dawn...tomorrow IS another day!

B: multi grain cheerios, milk, iced vanilla latte

s: fruit and nut protein bar

L: maple ham and swiss on honey berry wheat bread,

S: yogurt

D: baked chicken, green beans and stuffing.

Learned this evening that we are out of Diet Doctor Pepper, OMG I don't know if I will make it though the night without it. I guess it is time to DRINK WATER! GASP.

Ending the night at 1791 calories. Have a pleasant evening.

Progress as of today: 5.3 lbs lost so far, only 16.6 lbs to go!

grannyannie on 01/15/2016:
Congrats on resisting Krispy Kreme!! You go girl! I understand the temptation as I used to live in TN and someone was often bringing in a box. So hard to resist.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 01/15/2016:
I live in NYC where you are going to drive thru. Yes, there is traffic, but, you will have to learn to drive in traffic anyway if you are going to live around here. These people are making you nervous about driving for no reason. You need to make the right choice for YOU. Traffic will be better when it’s NOT rush hour. Try not to drive thru the area between 7am-10am or 4pm-6:30pm. If you are driving in NYC over the bridge area at the other times when there is less traffic, you will fare much better! Also, make sure to have an EZ pass if you want to get thru the bridge traffic faster… You are very smart to bring snacks to work. Personally, I get hungry every 3 hours. So I do really eat something substantial (like even a bar) every 3 hours. Except for after lunch – I usually eat tons of vegetables with my lunch so I am fuller longer. Or I just purposely wait in the afternoon to snack on my way home – even just fruit – on my drive – I like it this way – to snack on the way home or over to the gym. It works for me! But yes, you need healthier snacks at work that you like. Not just non-filling vegetables. Yogurt is good. – but if it’s not greek and it has a lot of sugar (over 12g) – it’s going to cause blood sugar spikes and more hunger later. Try to stay away from ANYTHING (bars, etc) that has over around 12g of sugar. Most things that are lower, I’ve learned thru experience and trial & error, under 12g is more satisfying… There are other options of snacks, too…I’ll comment on that later. If you are drinking diet caffeine drinks, you must also drink water. You need water.

Weight: 316.6

So I stepped on the scale this morning. I was pleasantly surprised. I will continue to do what I'm doing. Maybe, just maybe one day, when things are falling into place just right I may drink some water and actually exercise.

Got news from work today that I will be going to Bohemia, NY to attend a training class. Uh, not exactly sure where this is in NY and NY is the last place I want to be. I'm scared of creepy people in this town I live in, going to a new, bigger city, makes it even worse for me. This is supposed to happen the first week of February. They haven't told me how I'm going yet, am I driving a gov car or am I flying? This in turn creates another phobia, not of flying, but fitting in the freaking seats. OMG this stresses me out so much. I watch way too much TV.

These scientist type people are very quirky, because of shift work or just because they are scientist, but every little thing that is done must be approved by a union steward. What? you want to move that printer to a table across the room? Uh, let me ask everyone if it is OK, you are changing the work environment and we can't have that without union say so! OMG it gets so old. But I have to listen to some god awful music some days! Freaks, freaks everywhere I tell ya! Because of that I'm too nervous to be myself, I feel closed up and bottled, can't anyone take a joke around here? Uh...not without asking the union steward!

I believe doing crossword puzzles stimulates my mind, I was doing one at work the other morning, before I actually clocked in, but a supervisor saw that I was doing it. Now today, he comes and tells me that he needs to update security on my computer, and bam the first thing that goes through my mind is because I was doing crossword puzzles. So I asked him, he said what? no, it is just time for the software to be updated...oh ok, I'll see if I can access my puzzle again. And then when I get back to my desk, I have a new keyboard. I say, hey, what happened to my keyboard? They guy says we gave you a new one because the N was worn off. SO!! First off, I know where the N is  and second you didn't go through the union! Sigh I guess I will survive. I'm usually not so worried about stuff, but I've only been here just over three months so I'm still learning and getting used to the place.

I was up again about 2:30 with my dog. I think he gets lonely or something. He whines and whines until I get up with him. He goes out, gets a drink, takes a bite and goes back to sleep. Me, I picked up the ipad and started playing candy crush. OMG I won 4 hours of infinity life and then I couldn't put the stupid thing down, I finally went back to bed about 3:45, I'm so dumb sometimes. But I popped right up when it was time to take a shower and get back to work. So far today:

B: multi grain cheerios, 2% milk and vanilla iced latte

S: protein bar

L: ham and swiss on honey oat, key lime yogurt

S: two tangerines - (maybe)

D: supposed to be something with pork roast, that is what DH took out of the freezer.

We will see how the night goes!

DH baked the pork roarst with a honey mustard glaze. He also had a mixture of broccoli, cauliflower and quinoa mixed in a lemon sauce. It was all good! All in all finished the day with 1669 calories.

Progress as of today: 5.3 lbs lost so far, only 16.6 lbs to go!

Awesome50 on 01/13/2016:
Glad to hear that your meeting with the scale this morning went well. That's great!

grannyannie on 01/14/2016:
Well done on the loss! Hang in there with work stuff. You'll get through it.

cybermom4 on 01/14/2016:
Will you be going alone? I think if you have a buddy, you might find NYC quit fun. I think where you are going is Long Island which I hear is beautiful. I hope you can have fun!

OhioRaven on 01/14/2016:
Good post today. Sounds like an adventure story. Escape from NY.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 01/14/2016:
Congrats on doing what you’ve been doing. You don’t have to make all the changes at once – gradually is better. You can get used to making changes and living this new lifestyle as time goes by. Bohemia huh!? That’s on Long Island! I used to live on LI, but, I lived about an hour west of there. I was closer to NYC. You will probably be 2 hours give or take from NYC. Cool. Where do you live now, still NY? Bohemia is not like a huge city. It’s definitely a suburb… You can be yourself at work to a degree. More than you think you can. I think this is your MIND worrying and questioning yourself. I wouldn’t worry what these scientist freaks really think, you know? Sounds like there’s extra $$$ where you work – to know they can replace a keyboard just bc a letter is worn of!? Lol.

innerpeace on 01/14/2016:
I am originally from Oklahoma. I moved to Elyria, Ohio west of Cleveland to be with my boyfriend, now husband. I don't like it here either.

Weight: 319.0

So Tuesday ended up better than expected, DH even acted right.

I got home first, he went to get the little girl. We had plans to bo to the library to learn gross stuff about the body, but the little girl just had too much homework...so we did homework. Everyone should freshen up all they know about the Indian League of Nations..just saying.

It was extemely cold this morning, it was 10 degrees when I went to work and it was snowing...again.

B; multi grain cheerios, milk, iced vanilla latte

L; maple ham and swiss on wheat berry bread

S: proteim bar

D: tossed salad and a larger than one slice of pizza. It was a frozen pizza from Aldi chicken and spinach with garlic sauce, which was pretty good.

Total calories for the day  right at 1700 because I was up a 2:00 this morning and had a slice of flat bread. I was hungry..

I'm glad tomorrow is Wednesday, just because I'm off next MOnday and really will enjoy the three day weekend. No husband, no little girl on Saturday or Monday, so it will be alone time catching up for me. I have thoughts and ideas in my head I need to write it out and think about what I want to do about my stories and creative thinking process.

Enjoy the rest of your evening! IP

Progress as of today: 2.9 lbs lost so far, only 19 lbs to go!

OhioRaven on 01/13/2016:
So, are you a writer, ip?

innerpeace on 01/13/2016:
not really a writer. But I have many ideas about things that I need to get out of my head. Most do not happen, but so do and turn out surprisingly well.

cybermom4 on 01/13/2016:
I am looking forward to the 3 day weekend too!!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 01/13/2016:
LOL. It’s always good when our loved ones / friends behave! Oh yes. I’m really agreeing 100% with you! Lately, my best female friend just can’t behave. I call her & she only complains about her life to me. I text her to ask how her day is, and she only tells me her problems. It’s seriously too much to bear! So, I get you. I actually told her I’m busy with my family Saturday – so that I DON’T have to see her. I can’t spend time with someone who brings me down. So, I get you !! Ugh, sorry to hear of your very cold weather! Over here, coldest has luckily been in the 20’s and not lower! Last few years, it’s been as cold as single digits and that is WAY TOO COLD for NYC as far as I am concerned! Even though protein bars are sorta a processed food, I also eat plenty of them. They seem to keep me satisfied a couple hours – stabling out my blood sugar. Spinach with garlic sauce as a side!? Nice. Spinach is so tasty when cooked with garlic! 1700 is excellent calories! If I have about a week of 1700 cal days, I lose weight for sure. Alone time is so nice. I’m looking forward to some of that on my 3-day weekend as well. Of course I also have dr appts and other things planned, but I’ve made sure to also have some downtime which is necessary – especially for working women who are always busy out of the house for a good percentage of every day / every week! I can’t wait to read more of your entries about everything that’s on your mind!

innerpeace - Monday Jan 11, 2016

Weight: 319.0

Monday, Monday you suck!

I get up and take a shower, get ready for work and DH says he's staying home as he has an upset stomach and dosn't feel well. Awww, so sorry to hear this. I go to work and do my work thing, which isn't so bad, finally after three months I have gotten access to all the programs and applications I need  to actually do my job...so I was busy.

I get a text about lunch time, that says, hey I just woke up. What in the hell. He slept most of the day on  Sunday, how can he be so tired. He buys Emergen C and doesn't even take it. This man I swear is getting on my last nerve.

He did cook dinner though, so see, it's hard to stay mad at him for too long. But after dinner I was really Jonesing for something sweet. So I see this recipe on Facebook about some crackers, brownsugar, chocolate chips and Im thinking I'm going to make this because OMG...sweet tooth attach. So I go in the kitchen and start putting things together and we have no brown sugar. So DH says...go get some. I say OK gimme the $10 you have and I was going to go. But he comes back with this wise ass crack about 'Why am I the only one who can say gimme? " What the what? Where did this come from. He sounded all snarky like. And this pisses me off. And he says, you always tell me not to say gimme, especially when we are out in public'...anyway, I didn't go get the brown sugar, I didn't make the dessert!

First I must explain, that any where we go to a restaurant he always says, gimme this, gimme that. I jsut made a comment and said that sounds so selfish, you should try I would like, may I have, please and thank you! It's like he has no manners whatsoever!  So when I said gimme the $10, he through that back in my face. What an asshat! So I told him I didn't care who he ever said it to again, but if he says it to me - don't expect anything! Gimme, gimme, gimme!  I think it's the sugar craving, withdrawal animal that is causing this testiness.

I drank a DDP instead!

Breakfast: multigrain cheerios, milk, iced vanilla latte

L: turkey, swiss on whole wheat with pickles

S: honey and oat protein bar

D: chicken fajitas, with sour cream and a little bit of mozzarella cheese.

Total calorie usage 1691. I am pleased with this.

WIll work on my DVDS (I have Leslie Sansone - just about seven different walk away the pounds ) and then I have a zumba like DVD from the firm.

Will work on water intake.

Tomorrow we have  a library activity with the Little Girl!

Have a great Tuesday!

Progress as of today: 2.9 lbs lost so far, only 19 lbs to go!

Awesome50 on 01/11/2016:
Great calorie intake for today. Enjoy your work out DVD's. I have some of the walk away the pounds ones too. I'm still recovering from an injury and doing physio therapy so I can't do them right now but I do plan on it once I am able to do so. In the winter months I find the videos are great when I don't want to leave home and go out and warm up the car to get exercise elsewhere.

Enjoy your evening!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 01/12/2016:
I think you made the right decision to drink something hopefully healthier than the dessert you were going to make. If you have fruit instead of desserts...you will lose a lot of weight.

You dodged a bullet in not having brown sugar in the house - the other choice was far better for you. Its funny sometimes how things work out for the best. Have a great day.

Weight: 319.0

Sunday!

B: multi grain cheerios, milk - ice vanilla latte

L: turkey and swiss on three cheese bread, pasta chips with garlic and parmsean cheese

D: thai flavored chicken and a tossed salad - this thai flavoring was from a packet at the store. It was pretty good. Over all calories today 1529 - I did raise my allotted calories up to 1689.

I am at the point now where I should just stop making plans. Our plans for the hike were nixed when at 10:00 a.m. a blizzard decided to come through our area with blowing snow and the wind was crazy talking about -10 degrees. We stayed in. I ran up and down stairs and  finished laundry did minimal housework. The little girl is a babbler, talks to me about crap I have no idea what she is talkinga bout, I just listen to her and try to answer when I can. Who knows what a Moshy Monster is? I still don't and listened for over two hours.

DH brought up the X box so I can do some exercise DVDs in the family room instead of messing with the crazy electric light in the basement. I wil see how that works out this week. We do have a busy week and I just can hope we can do all the things with the imposing bad week of weather.

I have lots of ideas and stuff to do at work, but I can't seem to bring them into fruition. I will keep thinking about these ideas and see if I can work them out! I did not miss work for the last two days and dread going back tomorrow!

Little dog did better today, he even ate a little bit this evening.  And I think the Oprah Winfrey weight watcher commercials get on my nerves.

Here comes Monday!

Progress as of today: 2.9 lbs lost so far, only 19 lbs to go!

Awesome50 on 01/10/2016:
Good job on staying on track today. Also glad to hear that your pup is feeling better. What type of exercise dvd's do you do? Strength, walking, Zumba?

Horn_Of_Plenty on 01/11/2016:
sorry to hear of your bad weather. Us New Yorkers have been lucky - so far this year!

Sounds like you have a lot of stuff going on at your house - it's not quiet and peaceful like my apartment. Not saying that's a bad thing - I would say it's nice to have some noise at home!

I have been thinking I am about ready to date :) reading your entry makes me want to, actually!

Its nice you have so much to write about - and almost all of it happens in your home. My entries never, ever in all the years I have written would never focus on my home really or my apartment. actually, when I used to live with my folks, they were more in the picture.

its good to live with others because you don't fall into really, really bad personal habits. then again, what does it matter if you have a few of those!? haha...

blessings to you, your hubby, your baby & the doggie! sounds like a wonderful home!

Thanks HOP. I have been struggling with this very thing. I was alone for 15 years before I moved up here to be with my boyfriend at the time. innerpeace - Saturday Jan 09, 2016

Weight: 319.0

DH picked up the little girl...so it begins. We resolved not to eat out so much this year. Usually on Friday night it was a given, but we didn't do. I was home first and put some potatoes in the oven to roast. DH sliced the pork roast and grilled it out side with a different rub he got for Christmas, it was pretty tasty. We also had a kale salad with poppy seed dressing a kit we buy at Sam's club. All in all I finished the night with 1736, which is over my goal of 1575, but I have been eating good, I think my portions are just a little big.

We did venture out and went to see a play called Finian's Rainbow, put on by a local children's theater. It was pretty good, they are kids and work really hard.

So much for plans on Saturday. We waiting around the house until noon for the haul away guys to show up. I finally looked at my email and saw that we were scheduled between 3-5! Damnit I should I have looked at my phone way before noon. I put on a crock pot roast to cook during the day. The little girl and I ventured out to Wal-mart which really wasn't too busy. I was looking for a water bottle lanyard but completely forgot about that once I got into the store. We got home and waited for the haul away guys, they showed up about 3:45 and took the big old tube TV.

My dog is stil sick, he barfed all over the living room carpet, poor little guy. If he isn't better by Monday I am going to get him iinto the vet.

Breakfast: Multigrain cheerios, milk, iced vanilla latte

Lunch: turkey sandwich, swiss cheese on cheese bread, and a few pasta chips

Dinner: roast beef, detox salad (The DH wanted this again). I was good on the calories until I made the jello sugar free, yogurt pie, which was delicious. I was over today by 241. The calories I am using is from a calculation using an app called Lose it! I adjusted the daily calories by -500, because I never wanted to over eat my total calories. So if I stay between my goal of 1575 but don't go over 2000 I will be very happy.

So tomorrow is usually rest/laundry day, but I signed us up to go on a hike, this of course depends on DH's knee and then I signed us up to partake in a family bootocamp, I'll see which one wins out tomorrow.

Until then, enjoy your SAturday eening! IP

Progress as of today: 2.9 lbs lost so far, only 19 lbs to go!

Your calories sound okay to me. The pork sounded yummy. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

A suggestion to you based on your weight - you don't need to keep calories really low in order to lose weight. For myself, if i'm eating an average of 1800/day each week, i'm still able to lose a little bit and I weigh 118lbs. Don't try to lower you calories so much yet - i'd suggest for you to eat around 1800/day all the way up to days with 2200/day when you indulge a bit more or just want a bit more to eat.

because, when you do lose weight, the body naturally needs less calories. So, if you restrict too much now - what will you do when you are at your lower weight? you will have restricted so much now that it will be harder to restrict even more later.
