Worked out today! YAY! I can do this.

Breakfast: english muffin w/ butter & jelly
Lunch: sushi, diet dr pepper, piece of chocolate
Snack: banana chips

Activity: worked out in the AM, cardio and weights

Worked out this morning!!!! YAY! I feel great now. Definitely going to keep it up.

Breakfast: english muffin w butter, coffee w splenda, skim milk
Snack: handful banana chips
Lunch: salad w fat free bals ving, diet dr pepper, reeses PB cup
Dinner: steak and peas

Activity: 30 minutes of cardio, weights, situps :)

 Ok back at it for real. Again.

Breakfast: cereal & skim milk, coffee w creamer
Snack: handful of reduced fat wheat thins, 1/2 can coke zero
Lunch: salad w/ chicken, wonton strips, tomatoes, ranch
Snack: handful of pretzel sticks
Dinner: 2 hotdog buns w peanut butter (lame!)
Snack: hershey kiss

Activity: 5-10 minutes of walking around shopping

Notes: need to cut out creamer with coffee, go with fat free dressing on salads, lay off processed chips and wheat thins

It's hard at almost any time, for me anyways. Just gotta tell you - last night after I exercised, I felt like a million bucks... but I sure didn't want to go to the gym. I almost didn't, almost played sick. It's hard to get the motivation sometimes, but the reward is FAR bigger than the effort! Remember that!

i used to exercise in the morning, years ago! but now, i get up so early that i find it impossible to get up EVEN earlier to exercise so i do it after work. i do it after a snack, since i am usually feeling pooped at the end of the day.

looks like foods were good! BUT, where are your veggies? you can add tomato to the sub. and you can put some blueberries/strawberries or even raisins into your cereal.

i like the snickers marathon bars. i like the really chocolately ones the best, that's not the name of them - i forget the exact flavor. but, i find the ones specifically for women usually, with like 5grams of fiber i think, 150 calories only! really good deal and taste good to me.

Snack: 5 mini M&Ms

Sounds like you had a good day =) Wow what self control to only eat 5 mini M&M's! They are one of my weaknesses! lol When I eat them I always try to get a small bag of the dark chocolate ones as a splurge. Keep up the great work!

Weather is crappy. Roads are bad. Working from home tomorrow for sure!

Lunch: ramen noodles, piece of bday cake for coworkers bday
Dinner: 1/2 pesto chicken wrap, veggies
Snack: half piece of pineapple upside down cake

ugh... didn't do great today

Exercise: cleaning off my car and shoveling drive!!!

Read some health tips from Dr Oz yesterday. Definitely things I can actually do.

Breakfast: cereal & milk, coffee w creamer
Lunch: leftover pasta w chicken, didnt eat all the pasta, woo!
Dinner: the fiance wanted Wendys (ugh) but im so proud of myself, i chose a cesar salad w grilled chicken, no croutons or anything! :)
Snack: mother-in-law made pineapple upside down cake, just had to try it

Exercise: walked around the mall a little

....gotta get some motivation to work out a little in the morning. i have plenty of time, just need the energy and motivation. maybe i'll try Wii Fit tomorrow.

Doing ok today. Had a craving for sweets which i managed to translate into a coffee drink, not as terrible as a candy bar or cake i suppose. gotta keep it up.

Breakfast: cereal & milk, coffee, starbucks cold coffee
Snack: 2 pieces WW bread
Dinner: went to cheesecake factory b/c we had a giftcard, bread, hot chocolate, small portion of pasta dish w chicken, half slice of cheesecake (yikes)

Exercise: short walk w dogs, walked a lot at crocker park (outdoor mall) soooo cold

The weather is making it hard to take long walks!!

Day 1 (again)
I'm treating it this time as if I'm addicted to food, just like how people become addicted to alcohol, drugs or sex - because honestly that's how I feel. I wake up and usually the first thing I think is, I'm starving, what to eat for breakfast? Then it's a struggle and a focus the rest of the day... a battle really, with food as the enemy. I'd like to get to a point where food doesn't consume my thoughts all day but I'm not sure if that will ever happen. Food tends to be my comfort. I do the cliche eating when I'm upset or stressed. So here goes nothing... :)

Breakfast: cereal and milk, 1 leftover xmas cookie, cup of coffee w creamer
Lunch: 1.5 grilled cheese sandwich w 2 pieces ham, green onions, moz cheese. 1 can ginger ale.
Dinner: 2 chicken patty sandwiches (small) w buns, mayo

Exercise: short walk around our block with the dogs, in the snow! another short walk at the end of the day.

Step one - a pretty good start. Remember, it takes time. Don't be discouraged if you slip up. Everyone does. Just get right back on track.
